I placed an online order today for a Greek Salad & when I got back to my office there was no chicken on it. I called and was told that it does not come with chicken but when I went into the modifications tab it asked if I wanted to order "extra chicken" which would lead anyone to believe that there was already chicken on the salad. In addition it is priced comparable to all the other salads that come with meat. Not sure how anyone could justify charging the same price for basically lettuce as you would for a salad that comes with meat. The girls working there today hung up on me when I pressed them about this. Unacceptable! My co-workers & I have been coming there since they opened. Yep, I think this is by far the best deli I've been to in Arizona. It's family owned and the entire family is working in there which makes it feel so much better as well but the sandwiches are amazing the meat quality, and the variation of breads, that are all really good. Even the chocolate chip cookies are amazing. You have to visit this place, but make sure you know that they are only open on weekdays until 3 PM. read more

I work 10 mins away and can't just get back in my car for another 20 min round trip all because they can't make their sandwiches properly. When I explained this the person on the phone flat out did not care and said they weren't going to do anything without seeing the sandwich. Wanted to give this Deli a shot, especially after I heard it was known for their pastrami sandwiches. It's a hike from Tempe, but sometimes good spots are worth the trip. I got the NY Rachel, can't say enough good things about this delicious sandwich. The cheese was melted perfectly on the pastrami and the crunch of the coleslaw made a nice addition to top it off. It was warm and the thousand island dressing was really good. I asked for a side of it and they generously gave me a full cup instead of a measly drop like some places do. The macaroni salad was pretty bland, not much to say about it, but hey I didn't come here for that. So definite 5 stars for this sandwich. I lived in NY for 30 years and haven't found a true pastrami sandwich in AZ until now. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu. read more

I always hesitate when ordering salads to go because sometimes the salad gets soggy or the dressing gets warm, etc. but that wasn't the case! The salad was chopped fresh, all the ingredients were crisp, and it was really a massive salad - definitely big enough to split! The French fries were also really good. Not too soft, just enough crunch. I asked for extra season salt on the side just per a previous review saying they weren't salty enough, but I found them to be exactly what I was wanting. Overall, great food, really pleasant upbeat staff, and everything was put together in a timely manner. *only negative, is that you'll definitely smell like the restaurant when you leave. Saw that this deli got rave reviews on numerous sites. So I had to check it out for myself. Sandwiches start at $11.50 and go up from there. You get a side of macaroni salad with the sandwich. Came here early. It was 10:50 AM. However, they had many sandwiches ready to go for pick up. So I although it was early, they seemed busy. They were well prepared for many deliveries. They serve premium, boars head meat. I am a fan of that product, so I was glad to see that is what they were serving. They ask if you would like drink or chips with your meal. But I did not see on the menu where the prices were listed. I opted for water. First bite of my sandwich was full of flavor. It is rare to have a Reuben sandwich that has so much corn beef. Just the right amount of sauce and slaw with Russian dressing. I would have to say it is a big hit. The side of macaroni salad that comes with the sandwich is made in house. Lots of pepper, a little bit of red pepper and lots of deliciousness. The sandwich had so much meat in every corner of the bread. Typical sandwiches you get to the end of the crust and it is missing some meat. This sandwich was overloaded with goodness. The only thing about the place that had anything negative was their choice of rap music, playing a tad bit loud. I would definitely come here again. I think I ordered wrong. I asked the woman at the counter what her favorite sandwich was and I ordered that. It was the chipotle chicken. First of all, look at that picture. What color is chipotle? Maroons and browns. Chipotle is roasted peppers. This is a white and tan sandwich. Not a lot of chicken, not a lot of flavor, a lot of mayo, and a lot of iceberg lettuce. Might as well be Jimmy John's. The bread is about on par with JJ as well. It wasn't the deli sandwich of my east coast dreams. It was also pretty expensive for a mediocre minus sandwich. I'd go back and try the Rachel or something with pastrami, slaw, and rye. Because how do you mess that up? I shouldn't have trusted the cashier who said she'd never had pastrami. In hindsight, that's the biggest reg flag I've ever seen. I must have been delirious with hunger. read more

Great place to get some sandwiches. The prices increased by $1.5 :( expected with inflation. I got the Chipotle chicken. So delicious, comes on a baguette. Place is pretty good. I love sandwiches! I wish they offered all the sandwiches hot. Also, a whole pickle is cut for 4people to enjoy. I ordered the black & white club. It is very large. No need for the 3 (middle) bread.. I took it out. It's good but could use some more turkey and less shredded lettuce. The Mac salad needs more flavor. Just tasted like red pepper. My wife got the Hook up sandwich. It was very flavorful- highly recommend. She got the coleslaw and she liked it but wasn't "wowed." We got a rice krispy bar.. very good and soft. Very friendly staff; referred to many regulars by name. Sandwiches are more what I would call subs, rather than a deli sandwich. Order at counter and they call your name when it's ready. A woman was placing an office order when I got there (about 15 individual orders, all paid separately) which slowed down my order a little bit. The people at the counter were apologetic for the wait, as a small line built up. But it's riders were swiftly taken and the line shortly disappeared. Lots of carry out business. Sandwiches include a small side and I opted for the fruit cup for and extra $0.50. Actually it was 100% watermelon. But it was much better than the watermelon I had at the Hilton for breakfast.
