This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. When I called the store to ask a question, the man who answered was rude and blunt. When I arrived, I was rudely told to sign in and sit and wait. I would have been fine with it but the guy didn't even look up from his phone Then when I got seated for a pedicure, the water was blistering hot and when I told her about it she said it would cool down and put my feet in the water anyway. She then proceeded to scrap the bottom of my feet leaving marks and make me bleed. With my manicure, I asked her to just shape them not cut them because I wanted length. The nail technicians were all very nice and I came in on a Tuesday so it was super empty, but my nail services was really subpar. Everything was going really well at first but I asked for shaping and I guess the man upfront didn't tell my technician because we got to the end and I had to ask for it again, which wasn't his fault just a simple miscommunication. He made a super big deal about it though and filed my nails so roughly they bled. When I looked at them when they were done, some were crooked because of the filings. Yes we didn't have appointments, I understand it was a Saturday. But we shouldn't feel going into a place of business like we were inconvenienced them! I have been thinking about posting a review for a while and finally decided to just do it. September 6th 2019. My mom, sister and i had appointments here, mani/ pedi with eyebrow waxing because my wedding was the next day. I called a week before and double checked that they could do the design i wanted. They said yes, absolutely. The guy who did my nails only did half the design and declared it done. My mom had my go sit back down and the manager had him start over. He started over and still made it look so awful. I left in tears. I didn't leave because i was done giving him chances, i left because when we requested a redo he was extremely rude and rough wIth me, and when they were doing my eyebrows they did them out on the floor and he laughed at me because my eyes started watering and the girl told me i need to get my eyebrows done more often that way I wouldn't cry. They were so incredibly rude and hurtful to me! I didn't expect anything special treatment because i was a bride, but I expected to be at least treated like a person. So I've been coming here for years, and I normally get shellac, I have got acrylics here as well, today's experience literally left me in TEARS! This was probably one of THEE quickest pedis I've ever had! 20 minutes later, and my clear coat was already being applied. My massage probably lasted a good 2 mins, for BOTH legs! NT Nails has really taken a nosedive since they opened years ago. It seems to just be all about gaining clientele and shoving them out the door as soon as possible- not relaxing or welcoming whatsoever! I rarely leave reviews of businesses, but after ANOTHER unhappy visit. I've decided it's time. First, I go here out of convenience because it's so close to my house, but I'm done for good. First, 44.00 without tip for a basic pedicure that does not include scrubbing your heels, just a quick foot bath, a 60 seconds of a stone rubbed on your feet and then polish...it took 20 mins. My last 5 visits have seen 3 price increases. Finally, they are now Cash ONLY....they have an ATM in there that charges 1.50. I just don't trust a high priced cash ONLY business. In the past, I have watched them treat African American women poorly (she had an appointment and wanted to get cash from Raleys since she didn't know it was Cash only and they didn't have an ATM at the time, but they refused to wait 10 minutes or move her appointment, then when I went up to pay without cash it was NO problem....when I asked why that other lady couldn't use her card, they said cause they know me...I have come here for 6 years but not regularly and they don't seem to talk to me or treat me like they know until it's time to pay!!!)...it just not a business I will support anymore. There work isn't anything special...I get the same job at other salons I visit....like I said I only came out of convenience and I'm just not going to do it anymore. read more

Went in today for a pedicure and full set. The girl who did my pedicure was pretty good. No complaints. However; the lady Tina who did my nails was either lazy or just plain out not really talented. I gave her some photos to look at and all which she looked at and said, " I can't do that" just simple colors So I picked a pretty pink. I love coming to you guys. It's a bit funky sometimes, trying to get an appointment and choosing a technician. I've never actually managed to get the technician I've chosen before. So I just go in to enjoy whoever works on me, since everyone at NT Nails is great. So far, I haven't been disappointed. At worst, I've left slightly neutral, thinking it could have been done better, but I'm still satisfied with my service and quickly put in my calendar to come back next month. It's affordable, it's relaxing, and my nails are in better health for it. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work like that on Saturday evening. I came in for a manicure/pedicure for my birthday, to try and spoil myself a little. I rarely, if ever, get manicures, since I keep my nails short and prefer funky colors that I could just paint on myself if I ever got the urge. I wish I remember the man's name who worked on me, but all I remember was he was younger and had a green shirt on. He seemed a bit inexperienced, and honestly it feels like he mangled my hands. There was no lotion, so my hands felt rough and looked dry and worn afterwards, but what hurt the most was that in his cuticle trimming, he turned on the actual skin, causing small bleeds on three nails. I didn't notice that they were bleeding, since they didn't bleed much and didn't hurt more than I thought was normal, but when he got to my ring finger on my left hand, he actually took a good chunk out of my finger. It wouldn't stop bleeding no matter what we did, it hurt like the Dickens, and even two days later, it's puffy, swollen, and hurts when brushed up against something. I've taken to wearing bandages over it, and tell people I did my nails myself and ended up with a papercut from work. Since I've never had such a thing happen before, I'm not sure how it was supposed to be handled. He did apologize and put some sort of green liquid on it that I assume was supposed to help sterilize it, but there was little else done, and I'm a bit concerned that it may be infected, since it's puffed up and not scabbing over properly. Like I said, I've never experienced this before, at NT Nails or anywhere else, so I'm not sure whether anything more could have been done, but it certainly didn't feel that great that he just kind of brushed it off while still trying to stop the bleeding. I enjoy visiting NT Nails often. I try to come in every month for a pedicure, in order to keep my toenails under control. I get ingrown toenails very easily on my feet, and it helps a lot to have someone who knows what they're doing cut them down properly. This is the first time I've come here for a manicure, and unfortunately it may be my last. I'd recommend this place for a great pedicure, but would caution against manicures unless you keep a careful eye on where the cuticle trimmers are going. read more

I had the best experience I could ask for with my nail technician Helen today. She introduced herself to me and asked if I had been to NT before. She took her time with my mini spa pedicure and assured the water was not too hot for me. Before she gave me my hot stone massage, she put foils on my nails to get the gel removal process going for my manicure. I really appreciated how she cared about the health of my nails and not scraping layers off of them, which is what usually happens when you remove gel from natural nails. I will definitely request Helen from now on, thank you for your attention to detail! Also, the staff made sure everyone was wearing a mask so I felt completely safe coming in. read more

For a $20 pedicure this place is pretty solid. I don't understand either the very negative or very positive reviews here, although I can see how the nail tech you get could push a "totally fine" experience towards excellent or not so great. Based on my experience.... Pros: Efficient, well done pedicure for $20. Granted I live in Chicago so my pricing scale is relative, but this is a pretty amazing deal in my book. Also great massage chairs! Better quality than most. My back muscles were really sore from the gym and afterwards I felt SO much better. Super easy and convenient online booking. Cons: Polish selection wasn't in any sort of order (color, brand, etc) which made it difficult to sort through. Like other reviewers mentioned, I felt a bit rushed which seemed unnecessary given that it was a random weekday afternoon and the place wasn't busy. Overall I will definitely go back and see whoever if my end game is only to have my feet to look better. If I want a luxury experience I'll either pay more for the longer/better service option and/or do more research on which techs have the best reviews. read more
