Decided to go here for a gel pedicure and manicure after reading all the great reviews. I was quickly seated in the comfy pedicure chairs with one of the older gentleman, Don, to give me my pedicure. Everything was going great until he kept clipping and clipping away at my skin. He clipped so much skin off the inside of my big toe that I bled. It was sooo deep he couldn't get it to stop and he had to use Liquid Styptic to stop the bleed. I then went to another gentleman who did my manicure. He did just an okay job. Gel manicure only lasted one week as he did not properly prep my nail for the gel coat. I was so disappointed with this place. read more

I have been searching for a new place here in the valley since we moved to Manteca in October and found this one on Yelp about a month ago. First of all I am super picky about where I do my pedicure and first time here was a good experience. They have different prices for their pedicures but I feel like the regular pedicure could be better for the price. I've been to other places where the pedicure is cheaper and they still give much more effort and massage. Aside of that this place is pretty big and well organized. All the staff has been friendly and attentive which is a plus! I also am very particular with my acrylic nails and Mr. Chau, don't know what station # he is, does amazing work!!!! Great service. Employees are super nice. Place is clean and sanitary. Employees take plenty of precautions taking care of their customers and themselves. I was using a walker when I last went here and they very nicely accommodated by putting me and my Mom in the private room, as it was easier for me to get in and out of those chairs. Never again. This review is long overdue, but my last visit with Tracie was unfortunately not as pleasant as the first. Maybe she was pissed that I requested a pedicure when I got to my appointment, idk. Either way she was very rough with my hands to the point that she cut 5 of my fingers with the NAIL FILE. The pain brought me back to medical assisting days when we poked each other's finger tips in clinicals. If any of you know about the post finger poke soreness, that's what my fingers felt like the rest of the week. Terrible. Then she had the audacity to try and REFILE the nail with the finger that was clearly cut the deepest and bleeding. I almost came up out of my seat. Aside from her cutting me, she seemed like she was rushing the entire time and just slapped a ton of product on my nails. They were so thick, my niece was shocked. Hell, the tech at the other nail salon I went to for a fill was even shocked. She said something along the lines of "this is why I prefer to do a fresh set so I'm not spending time fixing someone else's work...." Anytime a nail tech has to convince their client that "it looks so pretty" chances are they know they're lying and their work looks NOTHING like what the client asked for. She didn't have to use the technique that she did to try to achieve this look, and I would've been okay with her telling me that she couldn't do it, let's go with the other design. Honesty goes a long way. I'm good off this place, but thankfully I don't live in Modesto and will not miss much. read more

I have been coming here for awhile and used to love it. However the last few times I've been they have done a terrible job... I recently went to get a pedicure and full set for my graduation and my gel pedicure has already chipped off. It hasn't even been a full week. I believe Nina was the one who did my pedicure. My full set is completely uneven and when asked for a French tip Tracy did not take her time or pay attention to detail. My French tip is completely uneven and each nail is bumpy from the acrylic. And you can still see my natural nail underneath the acrylic. I'm extremely disappointed and won't be spending my money here any longer or recommending this salon to my friends. read more

First time going here. Busy but quick to get you seated and started. I love that they do the hot stones included in the pedicure. I did a basic, simple shellac on my hands as I had limited time. My nail tech was very sweet. But my gel nails after 2 1/2 weeks this is what they look like 40 something dollars!! She did not start up at my cuticle so that's one thing I wish I would've noticed and told her. This salon is open which is one of the reasons I've come in a couple of times during COVID. The pedicures are not great, mediocre at best. Clean, well ventilated and large tv with food network on (DDD ). Asked for coffin shaped nail which Kenny trimmed by hand. I was in and out in less than an hour. Update: 03/27/19, 3 stars overall (originally it was 5..) My nails have been on the decline so I figured I would go and get my cuticles and such cleaned up and get a regular manicure with polish...yes I came I. There an hour before they closed.. but got you aren't going to put in good work.. why accept clients at that time? Don...smelled of cigarette... yuck but fine... He started doing my nails and asked if I had recently removed acrylics (which I had and so my nails were in bad shape), having known that I recently pried off acrylics he wasn't at all gentle with my nails... whatever, I said "ouch!" once and he was like a little better about the pressure he was applying.. then when shaping my nails.. the file literally felt like it was digging into my exposed nail beds (yes my nails were REALLY horrifically short)... then he just kind of gave up on shaping them. Started painting them and well... you can see for yourself the quality of work... I can paint better than that on myself.. (yes, I chose an ugly color--it looked cute in the bottle) Don't think I'll be going back.. at least not for a while.. Original: 5 stars This place was buzzing with business.. even at 10:30 AM! I was looking at all the other people getting their full-sets done and everyone's nails were looking nice..! So I was super anxious to get mine done next. The manicurist who did my nails was Jack (I think, he didn't really speak too much to me, but I saw on his little file tool box "Jack" so I assume that was his manicurist name). Before he did anything to my nails, he inspected them, (which I have only had this done once and it was at Irvine Nails & Spa, which I wrote a review on..anyways point is my nails came out fire when they were inspected prior to having anything done to them, so I already knew This manicurist was about to give me some bomb nails!). He was very meticulous when filing, shaping, and painting my nails, even my mother noticed. Admittedly, I chose a tough color to paint, (even the manicurist said so himself) because if I am going to pay a professional to do my nails, why not...? I would have preferred my nails to be a little more narrow at the tips, but I felt bad because he was already spending so much time on my nails as it was and they were getting backed up with a ton of clients waiting... all in all, I'm digging how my nails turned out! 10/10 would return back here again! For a full set with gel polish, it costed me $40 +tip, which I must say was WAY cheaper than some places I've been to (where they charge you for a full set ~$40 and also for gel manicure ~$30!!!). So yes, I was very pleased with the relatively fair prices they had. As for the atmosphere, aside from the front desk lady getting upset with a couple of the manicurists (who were unresponsive to her and also moving very slowly while they were super busy), it was relatively nice. I try not to use my Vietnamese when I go to a nail salon, just so I can really see what they are like (if I know they are Vietnamese)...my mother and I both noticed that they did not talk trash about any of their clients, just to each other about who to help next, etc. Vietnamese-run nail salons are notorious for trash-talking about their clients...so they win for not doing that! read more

I tried. The lady was really nice, but nice is not what I'm paying for. I informed the technician that there was not enough coating and she just kept saying she placed 3 coats on. I could still see my nails. And even if she did the best she could, I did not get what I paid for by any means. I also asked for different finishes and she kept changing and at some point I was over it. 2 stars for being nice, but I needed my nails done more than anything. If she could not do it, she should have said it upfront. I live over 40 minutes away... I wasted gas, time, and money on nails I'm literally getting redone today by another shop. I feel that is important for businesses to receive constructive criticism in order to better themselves and that is why I decided to leave a review after my experience today. My sister and I chose to go ahead and give NT Nail Spa another try. She had never been before but I on the other hand have been to a different location, years ago. My experience there was also not great but I decided to give the business another go since it was a different location. Unfortunately I will not be doing that again. I wish I could say that at least one part of my service was enjoyable but unfortunately that was not the case. The employee that was doing my pedicure was clearly new and if I had to guess, hasn't done very many pedicures before me. As a fellow service provider, that didn't bother me so much. I understand what it's like. Everyone has to start somewhere. However, as a customer, I am paying for an experience. I can overlook unsatisfactory performance if the experience overall was decent. Mine was not. To keep it short I will just list off the things that were unsatisfactory. He didn't speak one word to me throughout my service, not even so much as a hello or thank you for coming in. I got a basic pedicure with gel polish and he didn't even bother asking if I wanted my nails trimmed. Yes, I could have spoken up, but that's not the point. Aside from being outgrown beyond my comfort and not trimmed, they weren't filed and were jagged from the gel polish removal. A service that was only supposed to take 25 minutes (according to their brochure) took well over an hour. My sister was halfway done with hers from beginning to end by the time my previous polish was removed. When we got to the painting stage I sensed that the other staff members could tell that I was not happy at this point. I'm sure my face said it all. Instead of directly asking me a question at least two of the female staff members shouted at me from across the room. At this point I was just done and wanted to leave. As a service provider in this industry your #1 priority should be the satisfaction of your client. Not every client is going to be happy all the time but it is YOUR job as the provider to do your absolute best to fix what's wrong. Clients won't mind paying $100 for poor service if the service provider put forth effort in correcting the problem. They may not come back, sure, but at least they wouldn't be annoyed with themselves for wasting their hard earned money on a crappy service. At this point I am kicking myself because I could have just saved my money and done them myself at home. That's pretty much what I did anyway after I left the salon. All in all, I will not be recommending this business/location to anyone. I hope you use this to better yourselves because poor quality service and poor customer service is just simply NOT OKAY. read more

MUST READ: Honestly I don't really do reviews but this was a must for a heads up!!!. (Plus had to add some stuff i left out and was going to keep to myself but not anymore) So unprofessional!!! I had the worse experience of my life my two friends took me in to get my nails done I just got off work so I was tired and relax from my work day being over they had the TV playing cooking channel (witch I didn't mind at all I enjoyed it) the man at station #5 I believe his name may have been Andy did my nails everything was going good we talked about what I wanted I felt he understood what I wanted . My first friend was finished and paid for hers and prepaid for mine she walked up to me to let me know what she did I thanked her and she left to wait out side I started to notice he got very impatient started to pull my arm and grabbing at my fingers very roughly at that time my second friend got done with her nails so she came and sat next to me we started to talk about the food channel playing on there TV I notice he stopped what he was doing so I looked back towards him and he was just sitting there staring at me through his eye brows at this time I got very uncomfortable but he was almost done so I just wanted it to be done and go. Tried this place recently for a pedicure and set of nails. The young lady at the front was polite. The guy who did my pedicure was nice, and did a decent job. However, i was then sent to a lady named Tracy for nails. I said hello and introduced myself but she just looked up at me like it was a waste of time to even talk to me. I asked her nicely to remove my old acrylics so we could start over from scratch. She rudely refused and tried to just fill my nails ( at this point I should have gotten up and left) then ended up taking old nails off as i had originally requested. My nails were grown out so we decided to just put an acrylic overlay. When she was done and said the price, I simply asked why the price was so high, she seemed very irritated and rudely spouted out that the price is the same for just acrylic and fake nails and that it didn't matter!
