TLDR: such a good (filling) meal for a great deal. Necessary in the neighborhood, and a must visit if you love good sushi + Asian food. SETTING: smaller sushi bar with 12 seats in a nicely decorated space. I appreciated that it's not too tight so you're not sitting on top of each other. We came for dinner at 8pm on a Wednesday night. The ambiance is chill and calm, perfect for any kind of dinner whether a celebration or a casual weeknight meal. FOOD: for the first time after omakase, we left FULL. This isn't your traditional omakase but instead comes with different types of food including some noodles in an uni sauce that was amazing, and chawanmushi which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The sushi is also fresh and good quality topped with unique pairings like Vietnamese chimichuri SERVICE: the service was excellent. The head chef is very nice and engaging, and happy to talk about the food. VERDICT: I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood and not so prohibitively expensive you can't become a regular. We will be back!

Nozomi is new in Williamsburg and definitely worth trying if you're looking for a unique dining experience and enjoy Japanese with a twist. I found the 12 courses to be perfectly paced, with some real stand outs. The dishes that weren't my favorite were still creative and I appreciated the presentation. I can tell the chef cares a lot about the quality of the food he's presenting and also the experience his diners' have. I can definitely say this was the first time I've had a piece of sushi with foie gras or a "burger" with such high quality meat. The yuzu cheesecake was perfect - the citrus cutting what often tends to be one note and heavy (for me cheesecake is usually worth a bite or two but this one I finished in its entirety). The interior is also quite nice and the seats comfortable, which matters when you're meant to enjoy a meal that runs about 1h45m. The chef and server were friendly, and I'm rooting for them to succeed! The only reason I reserve a star is because I think there's still some improvements that could be made. This is still an excellent meal and for the price point/what you get for it, I would absolutely return. I'm curious to see where this chef can go and how the menu can continue to evolve through the seasons.

The food is very high quality and the portion is just enough. Chef Max did explain at every dish/course what it is, and how the whole dish came together. The place is small, with about 15 seats. This gives it a more intimate vibe, if that's what you are going for. After the 12 course tasting menu, we also got the option to add on some sushi's, hand roll or repeat any of the previous course.

Came here for the omakase and was seriously impressed. Pros: * Excellent quality fish, including dry-aged seafood (think dry-aged steak but seafood) * The noodle entrée was outstanding -- rich, balanced, and memorable * Dessert was a light, elegant cake that ended the meal on a high note Service: The staff explained every course in detail and gave thoughtful sake and drink recommendations that matched the sushi perfectly. This is the kind of omakase where you can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the experience. Highly recommended for sushi lovers.

This spot has quickly become one of my favorite hangouts with my besties! The food? Absolutely delicious. The drinks? Super unique and so good. Bonus points for the chef and servers being total eye candy (just saying ), and the owner is incredibly nice and welcoming. The whole place has such a great vibe--relaxed, fun, and perfect for a night out. Highly recommend--can't wait to come back!

Nozomi is a true Williamsburg gem. The 12-course omakase is flawless -- from the two delicate appetizers to the seven pieces of fresh, perfectly seasoned sushi, a crisp hand roll, a chef's signature main, and the most beautiful handcrafted dessert.

The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

The lobster is a little chewy, but the spicy claws were very flavorful. All of the crab had so much meat and the seasonings were all amazing. Surprisingly, the iron steak was one of our favorites despite this being a seafood spot. The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The sweet & spicy fish is also very solid, garlic noodles were buttery, and even their iced tea was super refreshing. Could not recommend this place more!! Bonus: they play a great 2000s throwback playlist that got us singing along and dancing while we were peeling all our seafood to pass the time. Shoutout to whichever employee put that playlist together!

This is exactly the kind of place that works well when you need something fast but still high quality. Service stood out. Jeanine was excellent; she quickly understood our time constraint, guided us to the right dishes, and kept everything moving without making it feel rushed. At one point we accidentally put a plastic menu over a lit candle, and she handled it immediately and made the moment feel light rather than awkward. The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu. If you like seafood, this is a strong option for the price point and location, especially during happy hour.

I find it oftentimes to be overpriced, coming with a lot of bells and whistles and lacking in flavor compared to Little Thailand in Queens where I grew up. This place is an exception! From beginning to end everything was excellent. The pork belly was the perfect temperature of warm, tender, a bit acidic/sour (YUM), and so delightful. I can see why many reviews recommend it. The crab curry was so nice and clean and fresh. The crab was so tender, and the curry strong, and went beautifully with the rice. It's actually such a sleeper hit, and we added it onto our order last minute. The steamed branzino was delicious, too - tender, limey, sour, sweet, a little heat - it's got everything!! And it tasted so so clean. Beware! There are tiny fish bones, so be careful as you're eating it. The dessert was good too, and very authentic.

It was incredibly tender and comes on a heated tray so the Thai herbs and sauce stay hot. I've never had anything like this at any Thai restaurant. Service: 3/5 The service was inconsistent. The front door was open and it was cold. We asked a waiter to close the door and he said they had to leave it open. We saw the manager constantly closing it when customers would swing it open so we ended up asking him and he said no problem and closed it right away. There were so many waiters and waitresses crowded behind us just standing around, it was a bit awkward because they were right there 2 inches away. We also saw people get shrimp chips? We never got ours. Ambiance: 5/5 The ambiance is lively, trendy, and full of energy without feeling overly chaotic. The space has a modern downtown NYC vibe with colorful touches and a buzzing atmosphere that makes it great for group dinners or date nights. It's definitely a place that feels fun and memorable from the moment you walk in.

From the moment I entered the restaurant, I knew the experience was going to be next level. Thank you Jay for seating me and my friend at the best table in the house. Complimentary delicious bread, water, and warm hand towels are provided to clean your hands. The seafood buffet is $168 and you can order everything, as many times as you like. All guests at the table have to order either buffet or Prix Fix menu. My order of Rockefeller oysters, and clams were simply the best I ever tasted. The way they were prepared is the only way I want to taste them. The next dishes they brought out were fried shrimp, sizzling shrimp scampi. Soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. My garlic butter Nova Scotia Lobster was divine. Cooked, and served to perfection! Next the sizzling sea bass was brought to the table! O-M-G! Within a second after arriving to our table still sizzling. Jose came to personally debone the fish (never had that done before) and he added the Thai chili sauce. At this point, my body was in a foodie coma! After a brief clean up of our table. I left our dining room, and went to the ladies room. When you walk in the ladies room, between the floral scent, and decor you are in awe of the details, the bathroom was dreamy. Back at the table our two servers set up a Picasso style dessert with hand drawn chocolate with the ice cream and a delicious cheesecake. Thank you for the birthday wishes, and celebration for my friend. José out did his self with his talented art skills. Special thanks to the Manager Sam for stopping by every table to see if everything was to our satisfaction. It was beyond our satisfaction. Tip: Make reservations even if your a party of two. Be sure all guests arrive at the same time. Tip#2: The upstairs level is perfect for large gatherings, corporate events, holiday events, bridal, baby showers, bar/bat mitvah's, and industry events.

Even the steak, fried rice, noodles, lamb, and veggies were delicious. The service was super attentive and quick with bringing out dishes. The price is definitely a splurge, but worth it for the experience and high qualit. It's not just a meal, it's a whole vibe.
