Fantastic experience. Short summary: Completely broke my Nexus 4 screen a few days ago. I called about 10 different cell phone repair shops in the Chicagoland area, and not a single one had the parts on hand to repair my phone. I made sure to get an estimate from all the places just in case. Anyways, I finally gave NovaFix a call, and I was oh so pleasantly surprised to learn that: 1) they had the parts in store, 2) I could come in ASAP for the repair, and 3) they offered a SUPERB price (matched the lowest I had heard). Came to NovaFix when I shattered the glass on my LG G2. The price to fix it was competitive and I was told that it can be done in 45-60 minutes. And it was! I was happy with the price, with the service, but that's not what prompted me to write the review. This is what happened next. If you can believe it, 6 days after getting my brand new screen (and on the day my brand new phone cover was arriving from Amazon) I dropped the phone again! ...And broke the screen. Again... This time it was not as bad, so the phone was actually functional. For a day. After that, everyone started telling me that they heard an echo. I knew I had to go back to NovaFix. Turned out that shards of glass and some dust got into the speaker area causing the echo. You know how much this repair cost me? $0!!! Because they had just replaced the screen for me, I got charged nothing for this repair! On top of that, they offered to replace the glass for me again just for the cost of the part, no labor cost. I finally replaced it 2 weeks after that. AMAZING customer service, reliable guys. Found these guys on Yelp after I destroyed the glass on my iPhone 5. The two guys working were no nonsense. I asked if it could be repaired, and they said how much it would cost and told me it would be done in 15 minutes. Came back 10 minutes later and my phone was like new. The price was even cheaper than what's listed on the web, and I used the Yelp coupon to boot. These guys are amazing, fast and cheap. The white leather dress shoes with no socks worn by the kid behind the counter should've been my first clue.. I brought my android phone in to be unlocked. 45 minutes later, my brain was toast from all that waiting and all that euro trash house music. They called me two hours later to tell me they couldn't unlock it because the phone was rooted, which makes no sense. I took my phone home, googled and read an article or two, and unlocked it on my own in five minutes. At least I saved myself the $35. This place was a little out of my way from home but well worth the commute. I walked in to get my charging port replaced and he said that it would take 20 minutes. So I went to walk around for 20 minutes and when I got back he informed me that there were some issues. It was charging intermittently and wouldn't continue charging. So he tried something else at no extra charge and got it to work like brand new. Had I gotten the part from Amazon I would have been scratching my head and wasting my time. $50 to get my iPhone 5 to work again and the technician was very courteous and helpful. I have an iPhone 4S which I've had for about 15mos. The power button randomly got stuck today and would not allow me to turn my phone off. After calling Apple and AT&T several times, only to be told I have to pay $200 for a new phone, I went to Yelp to find reviews on a great phone repair shop. These guys are great! I found them on yelp, dropped off my iPad and they said it would be $100 (pretty good for a replaced screen) and that it usually took two hours but there were 3 iPads in front of me so not till the next day, I was just stoked to have it before next week. The next day they called and iPad was ready to pick up and looked like new! I hope not to break any phones or iPads again but if I did, I would definitely go to Nova Fix again. Not that they need another amazing review....but here.it.goes. completely shattered iPAD2, beyond shattered...frankly, I'm amazed this magical piece of machinery even turned on. I brought it in, the guys had to do a little extra work because the metal corners were actually bent and the new screen wouldn't fit. It wasn't a problem for them at all. I brought my phone in for a screen replacement. The guy said it might "be a while" because he had a few devices already lined up in front of mine. I asked what he meant by a while, because just a few months before I had Gadget Geeks replace my screen and it took them almost 2 days. And they sold me a terrible screen, hence why I'm getting it replaced again - defective. NEVER go there! So he said, "maybe about 2 hours." Uhhhh.... OK! I broke my Iphone 5 screen and did some searching for the cheapest place with the best reviews. Most other places were $150-$200 but I stumbled upon NovaFix and they said it would be $140. There was also a yelp coupon that brought it down $10 so that was nice. I brought my phone in and was out of there in 40 mins which isn't bad considering there was someone in front of me. Nova Fix is amazing. I called them a few days prior to my visit to ensure that they would be able to fix my Iphone. I saw a great deal on Craigslist, where the repair I needed was only 49 dollars. By the time I was able to go into the store, the deal was already over- but because I had the ad from Craigslist, they still fixed my phone at an excellent price. The phone only took about 5 mins. to fix, and they did an excellent job. The guy behind the counter was able to detect what the problem was instantly. Second time breaking my iPhone. This place is great. Fixed the front LCD for 65 dollars with the yelp deal in under 30 minutes. Parking is easy around the place. They really know their stuff. I had it fixed before and I watched the guy disassemble and reassemble my phone but forgot to put some screws and foam back in saying it doesn't need to go back in. I'm very clumsy when it comes to my iPhone, and I've cracked my screen a good amount of times. I used to just buy a whole new phone to replace it, but then realized replacing the screen is much faster and easier, especially with the help of Novafix.
