A lovely place to relax with a beverage. Great decor, perfect music that's not too loud, green living things. And a very kind barista today who has a very soft-spoken voice. I could come here often! I got a yummy cheddar jalapeño scone with their special seasonal latte with gorgeous foam. Thank you!!!

Nova Coffee has a clean and beautiful interior. It's a cozy spot to hide out during a cloudy/rainy day like today. Unfortunately, their coffee was just your average joe. I came here with a friend who ordered a lavender latte, but could not taste the lavender at all. I tried their pecan sticky bun which was quite filling and tasty. Would stop by if I was in the area and in desperate need for coffee. But I would likely turn to other places if I was looking for quality craft coffee.

I love finding a local coffee shop that has character. This place, perched on a street corner just a block or two from the main road, was filled with a bunch of locals, some working, some relaxing. I ordered a latte with soy milk. It had great flavor and was served in a ceramic cup, which always improves the flavor. We also ordered toast and a local jam, I think it was marionberry. Just right to complement the coffee. Parking here can be a little bit of a challenge unless you get lucky and find a space close by. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, you shouldn't have any problem finding a spot. If you want to check out the local coffee vibe in a clean and modern space, Nova Coffee will definitely suit you.

Ok, I forgot to take the photo before I started to eat ... but at least the toast wasn't completely gone!

My toast with butter and jam was great and the Americano was ok. I saw a lot of people drinking green tea lattes or matcha (maybe a specialty). Had I know this before ordering, I'd probably followed everyone else, but instead I had a small Americano. I'm not a fan of the beans they use, as my Americano had a bitter taste, which I don't care for. Might not notice that in a latte. The jam that comes with the toast is yummy. I think it said loganberry. They have an avocado toast but I didn't see anyone eating it. There's not a ton of seating. We had to pull up a small bench as a third chair at a two person table for the third member of our party. Barista was very courteous, but not really fast. She was working alone, so there's that. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely try a green tea latte.

Indoors. Great vibes and lots of windows/natural light!

Stopped in on a rainy day. Coffee was good and the space is open and full of natural light. They also have vegan cinnamon rolls! 10/10 recommend!

Wicked cute coffee shop in a recently-completed apartment building. I'd give the coffee 4.5/5 and service 4/5. Barista was extremely friendly and nailed the order! Ordered two cardamom lattes (hot) for a chilly October day and walked away happy. I can see myself coming here to get some work done when it reopens for indoor seating. As the building's name implies (Hygge), it is quite cozy!

Nova is a ok. Solid little joint and a really good place to hang out at. I had a cappuccino which I would put up against any Seattle coffee house any day. Nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. Make sure to check it out next time you cruise through Portland!

Wish I could give a half star. Nicely decorated clean and crisp. They Serve water avenue coffee. The price though. This coffee shop is nothing terribly special. It has no parking, it's a walk up only. It was $5.25 for a medium coffee which is 12oz.. I visit many local coffee shops and this is a little absurd for the price, location and amenities. I think I will take the added paces to Higgins bagels next time or go in the Jantzen building for my coffee. Wait time for a coffee was also silly for the price. I'm sure I'll be back because coffee. I suppose the built in clientele above is helpful to their business.

Brand new place! Very clean with a modern and contemporary vibe. The coffee is very strong which I love! The menu is pretty basic no specialty beverages ... at least not yet. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area.

It's a nice quiet little spot. Friendly staff. Beans from a local company (2-Stroke) which is super cool.

I've been here quite a few times and have really enjoyed the Aribic People's latte with its strong cardamon overtones, the Chocolate Jesus and today, the Mucho Calliente, which promises a chili infusion, and cinnamon infused espresso with dark chocolate! But wait..., oh no, I forgot to ask for oat... this is probably (certainly) dairy. Argh! Sorry, I have no Viking blood and can not digest cow milk. I would rather battle the aforementioned Viking before I'd endure the results of ... dairy! So, I brought my drink up fully prepared to pay for another and everyone there, EVERYONE, in almost unison, refused to take my payment. They kindly and quickly made another and... oh... spicy indeed, but chocolatey and balanced! One of the best spicy mochas I've had anywhere ... and I am an absolute Spella snob and proud of it! Inside secret: Don't miss out on the great selection of truly authentic Egyptian foods and pastries, as well as some really nice necklaces and earrings. Located on Hawthorne just past the curve at 50th, they've got plenty of free street parking in the nearby blocks. The intentions were genuine and things have progressed in a way where Albina Press is one of the most recognized coffee brands in the city. It's not too dissimilar from its OG sister location in North Portland (#3), where they still brew high quality caffeinated drinks with the vibes of a homey communal space with chairs, couches, and individual tables for a proper coffee date, WFH worthy WiFi, and plenty of anti-war propaganda in the self-serve water area in the back. The latte art was on point, the cold brew was most definitely strong, cafe au lait was milky and foamy in the best way, and the americano drinks were fabulous. While their hours (#4) aren't particularly suited for after-work hours, they do an excellent job of keeping their space clean and the vibes low key throughout the morning and afternoon. Prices are good for Portland standards. Most drinks are $5 and under, even for the largest sizes. The limited but high quality pastry selection is also appreciated. The service was good overall, just be certain with the order and don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. Lines can happen, albeit rarely, and I would encourage most folks to drink the coffee on the spot.
