Beautiful and bright! Love the space and design with the vinyl music ambiance. Vanilla bean latte - 4/5 not too sweet with a dark roast espresso latte taste. Great milk to espresso ratio to let you taste the coffee flavor. Strawberry matcha - 5/5 well whisked matcha with real strawberries! I love when places use real strawberry and whisk it into the milk before the matcha is added. I hope they add this to the regular menu because I think it was just a valentines special. read more

Better Days Cafe is a cool community-oriented spot located in SE PDX. To get here, street parking will be your best option and there is a good amount of it around the area. Inside, they have cozy and spacious setup with adequate space for seating. For their menu, they have a nice selection of coffee, matcha, and other bites to choose from. I was super excited to try this spot, but sadly i was left both dissapointed and confused. I saw the Ube Coconut Cloud on the menu and was expecting something decadent and exciting, but after I ordered I was surprised to see my drink being made. They literaly poured a can of coconut water over ice and topped it with a tiny bit of Ube cream. I was like, wait did i just pay $6 for a canned coconut water with some cream I'll give it to them, the Ube cream on top was really good and I wish there was more. I just couldn't believe that the only thing they made was the tiny layer of foam on the top. Criminal $7 drink but the cafe is super cute and the service was friendly so I get why they were able to have something like this on the menu.. but I just can't think about the fact I paid that much for a can of coconut water poured on ice read more

I keep coming back for the ube cloud drink. I've never had anything like it across all the hip Asian-owned cafes in Portland, so this is a superstar drink for me. Service is friendly. Very cute stylistic pieces surround the barista area including lots of green plants, excellent record collection and turntable, punk-enthused signs, and Sonny Angel figurines. People seem to use the space for a good mix of work and conversational meet ups. I wish there were more seats and that they would stay open later! I came to try the tiramisu latte! The first time I tried to come they were closed for something which was so sad. I came again and got to try it. The interior is very spacious and bright. There are lots of coffee options. The tiramisu latte is super smooth. I wish the foam was more rich. That is my only complaint. Staff seemed nice. They can sure make a good latte. read more

If I'm going to spend my hard earned money on a bagel it better not taste like it had been on the shelf for months at WinCo. It took awhile for our bagels to come out and it was burned in spots, tastes more like white bread than bagel. To make matters worse the espresso has no character. Won't be coming here again. read more

Drink: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 What a quaint cafe on Division! Parking is street parking, but there are spots in the neighborhood that you can find nearby. I've been here twice already and ordered the same drink twice: the tiramisu latte! It is on the pricier side but you are getting what you pay for, a yummy tiramisu flavored drink. The interior is decorated beautifully, I enjoyed the little trinkets displayed throughout and the pops of blue on the chairs :). Other than tiramisu latte, they offer a variety of other fun flavored drinks I would like to try next- they have a blueberry matcha and an ube drink!! Service wise I felt was just okay, maybe because they have been busy and have only 1-2 staff working at a time, so it helps to be patient while waiting for your drink :D! One of my absolute favorite cafés in Portland -- and for good reason! They offer such unique flavors, and I was so excited to bring my sister here today. I'll definitely be back again. I tried the chocolate cold brew with Earl Grey cold foam, and even though I'm not usually a cold brew kind of girl, I'd still recommend it to most people. It was smooth, creative, and definitely different (I probably wouldn't get it again just because of my personal preferences, but it was well made!). My sister, who isn't much of a coffee drinker, loved her tiramisu latte -- it was absolutely delicious and totally her vibe. I also appreciate that they offer different sizes, even when you're drinking it for here instead of just to-go. And of course, the aesthetic of Café Better Days is so unique and cozy -- it really adds to the experience. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in Portland! read more

We stopped here because I saw a sign outside in the sidewalk for Kate's Ice Cream which is vegan/non dairy. So I was a little confused when I walked in and saw Better Days Cafe... yet here's an opportunity to let people know about the summer pop up spot at this location. I was walking around Division one night and was able to peer into this space and bookmarked it to check it out during the day! Better Days has such a cute space with natural lighting, bar seating, communal seating, and smaller tables so you can come with different types of groups. Before coming I was interested in checking out photos and the Tiramisu latte looked divine so I had to try this when coming to visit. I came during a weekday and it was still pretty busy with people working so be sure to come early to grab prime seating by a window. The Tiramisu latte was so good! I can see why it's a favorite and would get it again. Loved the cold foam and really wakes you up. It was sweet but not as sweet as I was expecting which was a nice surprise. The other lattes looked delicious too so it was hard to pick but makes me want to come back to try the rest of their menu. They even have food to order so you can camp out all day. Recommend checking them out and be sure to check out the merch and events with the signs near the side table across from where you order! read more

I love the simplicity of the atmosphere! The tiramisu iced latte was really good, personally I prefer milkier/sweet coffees rather than more bitter coffees so this hit the spot for me! The staff were pretty upbeat as well! A little expensive for a coffee but overall it was good! read more

My husband loves matcha and wanted to give this place a try. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after having brunch. Staff seemed really standoffish and not friendly at all. The girl that took our order was nice though and answered a few of our questions with a smile. Cute coffee spot with good music. I had the brown sugar cinnamon drink and it was just okay. Found this brand new cafe off TikTok and I was very happy I got a chance to stop by while in town! The cafe is very open and all of the accents of blue are stunning. I would give them 4 stars for not having decaf but their mochi donuts were awesome and they made me a Chamomile Tea latte. My wife enjoyed the coffee. The space is super cool and it's nice to see something vibrant take that corner space off Division. Had a lot of people inside, big windows, and a bunch of places to sit. The big, bright space is the appeal at this new neighborhood cafe. It has a funky fun decor with the vinyl spinner theme where the barista gives off a DJ feel. The coffee is good, and I did like their version of the trending tiramisu latte. Food is decent as well, not necessarily anything special. Maybe it's because I just ordered a tuna melt that felt like something I could make myself. I think the only downside is service feels a bit off. One, seems weird that they don't offer glasses and water dispenser, at least in my early visits. And the guy making the coffee isn't very friendly. You have to kind of look past all that to enjoy the large bright space. read more

Person working the register was really nice. They seemed understaffed as she was the only person working however the turkey melt I ordered was really bad. Basically just white bread, turkey, cheese and a little red onion. Turkey was still cold, cheese barely melted and no sauce or condiments. Really surprised given how nice the space looks. read more

Discovered this place last month and have already crossed the river 4 times since to come back and visit. Tiramisu lattes have become a thing lately, I've tried 3 others and this has been my favorite. They also have super good seasonal lattes, the strawberries and cream one I tried was so good. They have really good mochi donuts too. The staff is friendly every time I've come in, would recommend this place. read more

My life has gotten better since this has opened. They have some of the best coffee i've had in Portland and especially on this side of town! So far Ive had the tiramisu latte, cinnamon brown sugar latte, ube chocolate foam drink, and coconut cream matcha. All of them were AMAZING! I was interested in so many choices on their matcha. Horchata iced coffe, orange latte, strawberry Ube matcha. I asked the barista if they do exchanges or remakes for drink if the customer dislikes what they ordered. She mentioned they have a NO REMAKES policy. I knew it was time to lock in instead of trying something Willynilly. She was super patient with me as I wondered what to get and discussed my hesitations. She let me sample a tiny amount of the strawberry uber syrup and lavender to make my decision and it helped. I ended up getting and iced lavender matcha and didn't regret it at all. It's been hard for me to find good matcha in Portland and they didn't disappoint. The syrup was blended in well. The flavor of the matcha wasn't too grassy, bitter or powdery. I'm sad it's a seasonal drink because I'll Miss it. I also got an almond croissant, which was good but not mind blowing. I think I'll try the banana bread next time. They have a bathroom, 1 booth, bench seating and wall seating. It would be a bit of a challenge to bring a group larger than 3 here as they're small and busy. Maybe if you sat outside. It is a religious space but feels welcoming, not pushy. I've been to other Crema locations and enjoy their coffee and pastries. Enjoying them in this unique space is a bonus!

Also I will say this: Pip's offers a free birthday dozen, which is incredibly generous gift. My birthday falls around the holidays so I usually can't make it in, but I want to be clear that I have absolutely zero complaints about that. Adults, especially, should never grumble about not receiving a generous freebie. The fact that they offer it at all speaks volumes about the kind of business they are!
