The staff were polite and greeted me when I popped in. I happened across this spot on my way to Champagne poetry next door, and saw they had matcha and was eager to try! It was pretty quiet inside, I stopped by around noon, there were a few folks inside, they had a good amount of indoor seating. I ordered their 16 oz mango coconut cream matcha with almond milk. I was pretty excited for a creamy matcha given it had coconut cream in it, but I was a bit disappointed with how watery the drink tasted. The flavor of the matcha wasn't as flavorful as I hoped either. I tasted more coconut cream than the mango or matcha. I'm curious though how their other drinks are next time I'm in the area.

Grilled pork banh mi

The bread on the grilled pork banh mi was so good. Light, airy and soft as it should be. It's on the expensive side but makes sense given it's in NW Portland. The shop is huge inside. They could probably add some more interesting decor inside to make it really stand out

The cafe is bright and spacious. I personally loved that seating is a bit spread out and didn't feel crowded like some other cafes in town. I thoroughly enjoyed my pandan matcha. It's light, and the pandan flavor really came through which does not happen very often! Perfect spot to hang out, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy some me time.

Spicy Beef Banh Mi and Yuzu Matcha

Good Neighbor Ca Phe is a Vietnamese cafe in Portland that has both matcha and coffee! The shop was very open and had lots of tables for those wanting to get to get some work done or sit and talk with a friend. Upon walking in, the barista helped me pick out a drink and I decided to give the Yuzu Matcha a try! I also decided to try their Spicy Beef Banh Mi, but they do have multiple options of meat or tofu! I nestled down at a table with a view of the rain outside, being a good environment to just sit and relax. The barista brought my drink and banh mi to my table and both looked delicious! Giving the Yuzu Matcha a try, I was a bit overwhelmed by the Yuzu flavor. I would've liked for the drink to have a better balance between the matcha and Yuzu, nonetheless, a good drink! The Spicy Beef Banh Mi was delicious as well, the beef was tender and did pack a bit of a punch! The vegetables were fresh and was a good contrast to the savory meat. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had! The space is nice, barista was nice, and it's easily accessible! I would recommend those around the area to give Good Neighbor a try!

Good Neighbor Ca Phe is a newer Vietnamese-inspired coffee shop in the Nob Hill area. There is a lot of street parking all around the area. Inside, they have a modern and spacious setup with a good amount of seating. For their menu, they have a nice selection of different coffee, matcha, and banh mi to choose from. I ended up trying the Pandan Vanilla Matcha and it was solid with a nice flavor profile. Overall, I enjoyed the laid back and community vibes of the shop. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. This is a great place to come get some work done, meetup with some friends, or just to grab a drink and go.

strawberry iced matcha

the matchas here are amazing, and the service is always friendly, even coming in with random bigger orders. I work nearby and come frequently, and I've gotten a few of my coworkers hooked on them as well, particularly the brown sugar cinnamon matcha. Happy they're here!

Yuzu Matcha and Salted Latte

I was initially drawn to this location because of the Vietnamese iced coffee, but upon further investigation of the menu, I couldn't stop myself from coming back to the Yuzu Matcha and immediately had to order it. My husband ordered the salted latte and both were amazing. The café itself is very minimalistic and Wi-Fi is there if you wanted to do your work or school work in the space. I just have to give such a large shout out to the person who put the Yuzu Matcha latte on the menu such great flavor pairing. This is definitely going to keep me coming back. The service was amazing. The individual working was very fun and kept great conversation throughout our interaction.

Have been a few times and am a fan. Prices are easier to stomach than nearby Lela's Bistro, which also serves Banh Mis one block away. They only opened a few months ago and have free wifi, so it's a decently quiet spot to get some work done, though outlet space is limited and the interior decoration feels a bit austere. The last time I went, I had the tiramisu mocha which was delicious and very rich. I haven't tried some of their more creative banh mi offerings, but their grilled pork is flavorful and fresh, with a good amount of meat, pickled veggies, etc. My one complaint - and this feels weird to complain about as a person who enjoys spice - is that the spice levels can be very uneven. I've eaten Baka Umai's Carolina Reaper ramen; I've had to convince cooks in Thailand that I can tolerate "thai spicy" dishes. This is the only banh mi place I've been to where a single bite can be so full of jalapeno seeds that I'm furiously downing their free water to save my tongue.

Pandan vanilla matcha latte

My Pandan vanilla matcha latte was very good. I will be going back to try another flavor that intrigued me. There's ample space inside to sit, but honestly, as a cafe on 23rd, it's very underwhelming. There's no decor inside and the furniture is pretty plain. Hopefully they spruce it up, but I understand it's a new cafe.

Pandan vanilla matcha latte and house special banh mi.

This Vietnamese cafe has a contemporary and spacious feel. I went on a Sunday and it was really quiet. A lot of coffee and matcha options and I think they only recently started offering hot or cold options (I think when they opened in the summer they were primarily making iced drinks). I got the hot pandan vanilla latte, which was done really well, very creamy with just a slight hint of pandan. I also got the house special banh mi, which included pork slices and pate, and it really had an authentic flavor to it in a crispy roll. (Just a warning that their jalapeno slices were very spicy so be warned if you don't like it too spicy.) The person was friendly at the counter and service was quick. It's a nice, laid back spot to chill in the neighborhood.

We got the coconut cream latte and the pandan vanilla matcha. They were both really good and not too sweet. Drinks came out quickly and the space is nicely decorated.

We came by here for their soft opening to see what options they had for drinks. The interior was spacious and it looks like they will be adding more to fill it up. We ordered the pandan vanilla matcha and yuzu honey foam matcha. Both were iced drinks. I was very surprised at how good the pandan vanilla matcha tasted. It was the perfect blend of flavors and was not too sweet at all. Both drinks were well made, butI really did enjoy the pandan vanilla matcha drink and can't wait to get it again.

Very nice coffee shop. Barista was friendly and insightful about the menu. She recommended a pandan latte which I really enjoyed. Very nice big space to do some work. I wish I lived there so I could go more often
