I got the corn beef hash w potatoes over easy eggs and some bacon. the portions were enough for a small family lol. The food was good. I liked how the corn beef was actual corn beef instead of the can corn beef, yuck! The meat was full of flavor and the potatoes were seasoned just perfectly. My overall meal was a 10/10. This is a busy place even at 10 am. I was surprised we only waited about 5-10 mins to be seated. When we enter the restaurant, it reminded me of a diner. Hostess very friendly. When we were seated the waiter was friendly, patient and recommended since this was our first visit. We ordered the Andy's Scramble and Cowboy Breakfast. My husband did not like cheese. You walk in and there is a case with fresh baked desserts... you know it will be good. The server was very nice and knowledgeable. He made recommendations based on his favourites. The service was also crazy fast, we maybe waited 5 minutes for our food. We ended up order the homemade corn beef hash and the polish breakfast plate. Both were very good. The polish plate came with a traditional potato cake and it's was the highlight of the plate- loved it. The polish sausages were also tasty and not too salty which is sometimes an issue. This was the perfect spot for our breakfast with someone who doesn't care for breakfast. I had the turkey wrap which had spinach, cucumbers, bacon and pesto Mayo with a side of sweet potatoes fries. The pastry selection is on full display when you walk in as well. My girlfriend and I were seated quickly early one morning, and the service was super fast and friendly. I got the biscuits and gravy which also comes with potatoes and eggs. I thought everything was good, but I would have preferred the potatoes be a lot crispier. 4.5 is my overall review. Let's get into why. Three hungry travelers we were, rolling into Estes park at 7:30am. I googled breakfasts, did little research and we wound up at Notch Top. We were seated immediately and our waitress was kind, if not a bit uninterested. We had to flag down another waiter to get our coffees refilled (the .5 deduction). Otherwise ambiance was cool, plenty of locals telling bear stories & a beautiful display of pastries. Now for the food! We ordered 2 of the meaty hash meals and a Denver omelette. NO NOTES. The food was delicious! The gravy, wow. The biscuit... so soft. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food! Would I eat here again? Yes. Should you try this place out? Absolutely. If there was an option, i would have given 3.5 stars we ordered a very standard breakfast - avocado toast and omelette. It was good but there wasn't anything wow about it. It was like how I could make toast and omelette at home. Still good but nothing extra ordinary. A variety of eggs Benedict, traditional breakfast, and French toast varieties. The bacon was crisp, the French toast was mushy. The food was good. But the service is impeccable. My son mentioned the fries tasted like "to go fries" which I thought was a good description lol because they weren't crispy at all. But the service was even better. Always happy to give a shout out to places that do tea right. Here, you get an individual teapot with at least 16oz and loose leaf tea. Love that. The food was great too. Had turkey bacon sub for bacon. Special ricotta berry crepes were excellent. Omelette was maybe a little dry, but this is a matter of preference. GPS really didn't want to find this place, so I'm glad we saw it in the back of a strip center. Quite busy at lunchtime, we were still seated fairly quickly. With a large menu, we finally decided on lunch. I went with the turkey panini and onion rings, while my wife had the veggie panini with tofu and sweet potato fries. My panini was good but was a little dry. Onion rings were excellent. My wife didn't think the tofu in her sandwich had a lot of flavor, but she really enjoyed the sweet potato fries. We legitimately sat for THE longest time for our waitress to take our order and believe it or not our waitress NEVER came to service us, another waitress that was taking care of her own tables had to help us take our order since we waved her down. We knew they were busy so we assumed we'd be serviced as soon as they were available, but wow that was pretty ridiculous. The only reason I'm giving an extra star is because the waitress who ended up taking our order was apologizing profusely and even comped us a cinnamon roll. Apparently the waitress that was supposed to serve our table is named Susanna? (It was some 'S' name). The manager heard about the situation and apologized to us too. I truly believe if we did not wave anyone down, we would have been waiting for hours, there were so many instances when a worker would walk by and not ask if we needed anything. THEN to make matters worse, apparently our order was "forgotten" so we waited even longer, thank goodness we were not in a rush... Man, can you even imagine?... The waitress apologized again and gave us cookies to-go. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, especially when we were just trying to enjoy Colorado. Busy and smells good! Always good signs. Kid had the breakfast sandwich on croissant. She had the Peak waffles with fruit and toasted almonds. They both said 3-4 star rating. I ordered the turkey club with avocado and bacon. It was good - but he first club I've had that "leaked" with turkey juice. It tasted good, but I wanted to wrap half if it for later to take with me on a hike, and that probably won't work well without a mess.
