Solid restaurant and great service. Love the mountain-inspired art decor on the walls. Just too expensive for the appetizers and what you get. $18 for the two birria taco appetizer isn't great value. The pesto pasta with chicken entree was great and highly recommended. Chips and guac were ok, nothing special. Overall a solid experience and we were happy.

We came for a lunch on a Sunday and were seated right away. It was quiet enough so we could easily talk. The server was very attentive and helped accommodate my food sensitivities (gluten, corn, sulfites, soy). I normally don't like to eat meat on a bone but desired to give elk a try. It was very tasty and was better than I expected. My husband didn't care for his elk medallions for some reason. Everyone else in our group liked their food. My only complaint is hot beverage cups. If you try to hold them as usual you'll burn your middle finger. It's such an awkward design! I had to use both hands to keep my fingers safe. Also for some reason no bread was offered with our meals. I'm gluten free but a couple of people at our table surely would enjoy some.

If you're in estes and need a bite for lunch, this is the spot. BOGO drinks all day. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super nice and friendly. They also have tvs if any games are on. Southwest chicken wrap was soo good. Highly rec this spot!

We needed lunch in Estes Park during the height of summer travel season. The town was mobbed and we were hungry. We ended up at Elevations. I could feel the elevation, pun intended. I ordered the American Cheeseburger (Brioche bun, angus beef patty, American cheese, smoked applewood bacon) and a side of crispy French fries. Other orders at the table were a grain bowl, a chicken sandwich, and fish & chips. My burger was fine but slightly dry. I was kind of nauseous from hiking in the altitude and the water and protein cured me here! Service was spotty.

What a wonderful gem in this quaint little town. This is a wonderful little place to have lunch. Lighting is low almost like walking into a whiskey lounge with the perfect amount of space for you to walk around in. The food and service were wonderful, we had a wonderful time.

We walked in to Elevations after a halfway of shopping in downtown Estes! We were not disappointed! Seated immediately and it got very busy after we were seated! Our server was attentive and very helpful! I ate the Elk Tacos from app menu! There are two and it was plenty! They were delicious, tender and flavorful! My hubs got the Elk Stew and oh my goodness! Melt in your mouth and just the perfect seasonings! We also had the cheese board and chips and guac for appetizers! We loved every single mouth watering bite! It was cool and bar like but also just a chill atmosphere! Loved it! Glad we randomly stopped in!

Completely average food and service. The bar smells strongly of cleaner, which is good to know that they clean, but overpowering when trying to eat.

We are local and our 2nd time here. These guys are open late and that's a wise thing in a tourist town. We definitely appreciated it tonight as many of the places close at 9 on a Friday. Well a good experience tonight all the way around. Friendly staff and excellent food. One of the best grilled chicken sandwich I've ever tasted and no I not over stating. With a really good cheese sauce. The simple salad with the orange vinaigrette was really nice. Everyone loved their meal. And the fries are fantastic. A pretty extensive spirits menu great Bourbon, Whiskey and Scotch. Some are reasonably priced a few a bit overpriced but good selection nevertheless. Oh did I tell you about the fries, yeah they are great

For me personally (and those at my table) we had a good experience at Elevations - we both ordered from the "mains" section of the menu and enjoyed our meals. I opted for the Elk Stew and found it to be flavorful. I will note some of the meals around us, more American fare such as nachos and wraps, didn't look as good - so it seems like the house specialties are the way to go here. Service was good but the interior ambiance/vibes were a little confusing. It was hard to discern whether Elevations is attempting to offer a more elevated dinner experience or more of a sports bar vibe. The bar setup, decor, music playing, etc. all made this a little confusing. But overall, an easy to access location in downtown Estes for a quick bite.

Upon walking in there was no hostess but a waiter jumped up and got us. Service was great and he really stayed on top of us. Food was good and portions were great! Only thing is the decorative art in the restaurant is boring.. so service 5, food 5 and ambience 3, overall 4 out of 5.

Great food, great service! I recommend the bison sliders and lobster mac & cheese, (both not pictured).

Looks casual/classy! When we stopped to preview the street menu a man walked by and said "it's always good" so we took his advice! We both had the elk burger and it was delicious! Crispy perfect fries too!!

After more than 10 hours of travel and a total fail at another local restaurant (where we waited forever, yes, over 45 minutes, only to be told three times that our order would be up soon but then found out that our order never actually printed in the kitchen--yep, we walked out), we found ourselves wandering downtown Estes Park, tired, hungry, and not exactly in the mood to be charmed. Enter Elevations Eatery--and thank goodness. Brad greeted us with a smile that said, "Don't worry, I've got you." And he absolutely did. Carlos, behind the bar, worked his own kind of magic. These two? Dream team. Brad promised us great food and cold drinks, and he delivered in every way. My Mediterranean Bowl was light, packed with veggies, and full of flavor. That creamy parsley dressing? I could drink it. The guys ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Burger...super juicy with just enough kick to keep things interesting. And my girlfriend's American Cheeseburger was a perfectly done classic that hit every craving. And oh, the cocktails. The guys are still talking over a week later about their smoked Oaxacans, served in an actual oak smoking box...smelled amazing, looked cool, and tasted even better. We girls went with lemon drop martinis, chilled just right and full of tart lemony sass. Honestly, they should bottle that kind of mood-lifter. Brad made us laugh, Carlos kept us happily sipping, and Elevations turned a rough travel day into a night worth remembering. Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it. We'll be back!

We sampled a beer flight with four beers and also ordered a margarita. One of the bartenders was fantastic. She took the time to ask what flavors I liked, recommended a different liquor for my margarita, and customized it to better match my taste. It turned out great, and I really appreciated the extra effort. The male bartender was friendly, but I was a little disappointed when I asked if they could make an espresso martini. He said they didn't have the ingredients, even though they had another coffee-based cocktail on the menu. It would have been nice if he had suggested a creative alternative using the cold brew or whatever they had available. Not a big deal, just a missed opportunity. They don't appear to serve food themselves, but there was a food truck parked outside when we visited, which was a nice bonus. Overall, we had a great experience. We were seated in an odd location that seemed to have cleaning supplies and other miscellaneous elements scattered next to it. When being seated, we were given an additional menu that they apparently only offer on certain days, which was not the day that we were there. Service was inconsistent and a bit awkward: sometimes a lot of explanation and attention, sometimes abruptness or nothing. The elk burger was fine and the trout was good. The greens that came with the trout tasted like they were drenched in butter. The fries were described by the person who ordered them as the worst they'd ever had. I didn't think it was that bad, but they did come out basically cold. They also ended by asking to leave a review and mention the server name in the review.

There were a couple of mix-ups with our order, including Mezcal which has a very distinct taste accidentally being added to my margarita, and some incorrect side dishes but the staff handled everything quickly and professionally. Since the restaurant had only recently reopened with a new menu, the mistakes were understandable. I ordered the Smashburger with fries, and my friend had the chicken fajita sandwich with a salad. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable for the area. The rooftop offers beautiful views of Estes Park and is conveniently located right in the shopping district. The only downside was the orange barrier coverings around parts of the rooftop while renovations were being completed. They blocked some of the views and took away a bit of the ambiance. Once those renovations are finished, this will be an even better spot. Great food, attentive service, and a fantastic location, I would definitely visit again once the renovations are completed.

We sat down and about 10 minutes later, a couple sat behind us and our waitress visited and brought water to their table first instead of ours. In addition, another couple behind us was not seen by any waiter/waitress and had to ask a worker (who might have been an assistant manager? Although, not clear what his position was) if they can order with him. Overall service felt scattered, a bit slow overall, and unprofessional. Food: I ordered the tex mex bowl with barbacoa. It tasted as expected, nothing spectacular. However, there was a massive piece of plastic in my food. I let the waitress know and she apologized on behalf of the kitchen. I kept the meal because I hate waste and I didn't see any other plastic pieces in the food. Right after I found the plastic, I also discovered a bone in the meat. It was big enough to hurt a tooth if I had bit down on it but thankfully I spit it out before I chewed my food completely. While a bone might be normal to find in meat, I was certainly unhappy that now two objects were in this food. I was never comped for my meal and the manager never visited my table to apologize. I only write reviews if I had a fantastic experience or when I feel the need to warn others about the restaurant. I recommend choosing another restaurant before choosing this one if you prefer quality food and service.

The parking lot is fairly small, but there is additional parking available across the street the grocery store (not sure if you can park there but it worked for us). The menu looked solid, with a few things that caught my eye (albeit on the pricier side for a more casual spot). I ended up ordering the Colorado trout filet, and it was definitely the highlight for me. The trout was cooked well, very flavorful, and topped with a cilantro-lime sauce that paired well with it. It came with roasted corn and potatoes, which were both tasty, although I do wish there had been a little more of each. My fiancée ordered the beets and Bibb salad and added chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was probably the weakest part of the meal. It was fairly dry and didn't have much flavor. Overall, though, we had a good experience at Bird & Jim.
