All three dishes had a lot of favor. I was really happy with the nachos felt like the most bang for their buck. Tons of flavor .. the pork chili wasn't very spicy but it had a little kick. The beef rib was really good too. A little pricey for one rib, but with the mashed potatoes and asparagus it's definitely filling. The lobster mac and cheese also was great too. Fair warning: the "birria tacos" are not birria tacos. They're essentially regular tacos, and when we politely pointed this out, our waitress argued with us instead of addressing the concern. The char on the outside was perfect and the elk was seasoned so well that you can taste the natural meat if that makes sense. If we ever come back... we will definitely order 2 plates of this. My 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed sharing that with his dad. The bathroom lines were a bit long but the establishment is small so I can't really complain. If you're ever close by, definitely stop by! Absolutely amazing and delicious! The service and presentation of the food and drinks was outstanding! We stopped here for lunch to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary with a party of 12 and the staff didn't hesitate to accommodate us. How this place has anything short of 5 stars is beyond me. There were 6 of us and not one complaint on food (2 of 6 were kids). Food: Wild Game Burger- absolutely amazing. The wild board sausage was game changing. Elk Stew- i see why its a restaurant favorite. Wild Game Sampler- meats cooked perfectly. Asparagus as a side also amazing. For me personally (and those at my table) we had a good experience at Elevations - we both ordered from the "mains" section of the menu and enjoyed our meals. I opted for the Elk Stew and found it to be flavorful. I will note some of the meals around us, more American fare such as nachos and wraps, didn't look as good - so it seems like the house specialties are the way to go here. Service was good but the interior ambiance/vibes were a little confusing. It was hard to discern whether Elevations is attempting to offer a more elevated dinner experience or more of a sports bar vibe. After more than 10 hours of travel and a total fail at another local restaurant (where we waited forever, yes, over 45 minutes, only to be told three times that our order would be up soon but then found out that our order never actually printed in the kitchen--yep, we walked out), we found ourselves wandering downtown Estes Park, tired, hungry, and not exactly in the mood to be charmed. Enter Elevations Eatery--and thank goodness. Brad greeted us with a smile that said, "Don't worry, I've got you." And he absolutely did. Carlos, behind the bar, worked his own kind of magic. These two? Dream team. Brad promised us great food and cold drinks, and he delivered in every way. My Mediterranean Bowl was light, packed with veggies, and full of flavor. That creamy parsley dressing? I could drink it. The guys ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Burger...super juicy with just enough kick to keep things interesting. And my girlfriend's American Cheeseburger was a perfectly done classic that hit every craving. And oh, the cocktails. The guys are still talking over a week later about their smoked Oaxacans, served in an actual oak smoking box...smelled amazing, looked cool, and tasted even better. We girls went with lemon drop martinis, chilled just right and full of tart lemony sass. Honestly, they should bottle that kind of mood-lifter. We tried Elevations based on the reviews, but were disappointed. The restaurant is in a great location, clean and comfy. Our server was inattentive and didn't explain much regarding the errors on our check, didn't refill our beverages and didn't really pay much attention to us, even though we were one of not many eating. Food was OK- I had the bison burger- it was very overcooked and had SO many onions, it was all I could taste, even with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. We also ordered the pork bao buns. The pulled pork inside was delicious, but the bao fell flat and didn't seem to be fresh. Bathrooms were Spotless though! read more

First let me say I live here in Estes Park. My home is under heavy construction which includes the whole kitchen, leaving me no way to cook and only a small microwave that halfway works. I've had to order from DoorDash numerous times as I have a hard time seeing at night. The first time I ordered from Elevations, I ordered the ribeye mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was delivered hot yummy and I was very impressed. The second time I ordered the same thing, through DoorDash, the steak was completely overcooked so badly so I couldn't even cut it. I had ordered it medium rare. Burnt and dried out was not my expectation. The mashed potatoes were also cold and completely dried out. The asparagus were so hard you could barely cut them. It's not cheap to order from Elevations anyway, even when in person, but I also have to pay a DoorDash fee. DoorDash did refund my money, and I also reached out to the restaurant to voice my concerns and displeasure. I decided to give them another chance, but ordered a salad and Genovese Pasta with chicken in it. Monitoring DoorDash I saw that they got there fairly quickly, so was hopeful that my food would be fresh and good. Unfortunately the pasta Genovese was dried out and cold, the chunks of chicken were cold, and the salad that I had ordered had more red onions than the lettuce itself. This would not have been a problem except I don't eat red onions and on the menu on DoorDash it's simply said "garden salad". There was nothing listed about a choice of dressing, nor was there anything listed as to what ingredients were in the salad which can be a problem if someone has allergies to anything that they place in there. Again this restaurant isn't cheap, and it was a complete letdown with a completely cold meal, and while heating pasta in a microwave might be OK, it dries out the chicken terribly. They say that the third time is a charm, and two out of three times have been awful. Very disappointed in this place. Perhaps eating in the restaurant may be better, but this meal was terrible.
