The wine bar 217 inside the Stanley hotel is a Killer spot for an afternoon drink, they have a spectacular wine list and Heineken zero for the non-alcoholic crowd. The charcuterie plate comes loaded with two types of cheese, two meats and tons of fruits, peppers, pickles and olives. The service was nice and friendly. The view of the mountains from the porch are gorgeous. Overall, I had a wonderful time here! Highly recommend it!! read more

Just stopped in for a quick sip before dinner at Cascades. Amazing view and pretty solid selection of wines by the glass. Although the Chateauneuf de Pape was out (sad face) I will try again next time. (It's rare to see this offered by the glass. Service was friendly and fast. read more

We enjoyed some wine on the porch to watch sis eat on a crisp November evening. Our first time staying overnight at the Stanley and 217 did not disappoint. We were able to try some wine before committing to a lovely Chianti. Service was consistent and friendly- even as we were the only ones enjoying outside. The setting inside is truly beautiful and elegant with plenty of seating. The list of wine available varies by type, I was disappointed there was a "buy the bottle only" option for some of the wines I wanted to try (no buying by the glass). I visited this wine bar while in Estes park for the day. It was such a cute find! I love that you are able to still walk around the spooky Stanley hotel and then sit in the very classy bar area after. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. We had the smaller option of the charcuterie boards and it was a perfect amount for three of us to snack on. Wow, a 5 star experience for sure. If you visit the Stanley Hotel you MUST stop here for a glass of wine and a snack. The staff were so accommodating- helpful with wine recommendations, supplied us with gluten free crackers, and were overall very friendly and fun. We tried a few wines and settled on a nice bottle, I don't think there's any wrong options in terms of wine here. The charcuterie board was also very tasty and had a nice variety. read more

Came here tonight after my boyfriend wanted to see the Stanley Hotel. The Whiskey Bar was packed, We stopped at the 217 Wine Bar. We were lucky enough to have Carrie as our bartender. She was absolutely AMAZING! Her greeting all customers with enthusiasm and said goodbye to everyone as it was her home. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and had great customer service. The Chenin Blanc was superb! My boyfriend had the late harvest Sweet Riesling which was excellent. Highly recommend! read more

This was the highlight of our visit to the Stanley! They offer custom flights and have a changing menu with a great, curated variety. Our sommelier Jillina was so knowledgeable and had the best little details to share on what made each wine special. Service staff limited, no one came to serve us, had to go to bar to get a menu and water. Wine bars usually have other drink options, but they only had wine, and then only about a third of the menu items stocked. Glass of wine between $16-24 which is high. In the afternoon, go after the great view of Long's peak and the continental divide on the sunny porch. Love this place . They are super friendly and the wine is good. The staff is AMAZING! All of this is made for a great experience. The only thing is the Stanley Charc Bite, which is the small $28, is chefs choice. I feel that I should get a small choice for that price so it isn't what is about to expire. But it was fun and I would do it again. We were able to sit outside in the shade, which was awesome. Love it! read more

I would think that any high end wine list would include Pauillac and Margaux selections etc. from Left Bank wines and certainly something from Pomerol plus others from the Right.
