I come in to the McKinleyville location occasionally and am always greeted with a smile and my order is always deliver promptly and courteously. Kudos to the staff! One question... what's up with your quiche? Avocado? Why? Whyyyy? You make so many delicious items. Why is your quiche not one of them. I understand tastes vary. But why the avocado IN the quiche? At the end of our visit, a family that had been waiting probably 10 minutes got their food. Turns out, their daughter works there. Fair, but a bit annoying that you have to have someone on the inside to get your food in a timely manner.

I visited Northtown Coffee in Arcata and was pleasantly surprised that everything is organic -- you don't see that everywhere, and it definitely adds to the experience. The coffee was great, rich and well-made. The service was also very good -- friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. I really liked the interior as well. The space is stylish, thoughtfully designed, and has a great vibe overall. The only thing I was expecting more of was the pastry selection -- it felt a bit limited. Northtown Coffee is a gem! The organic vibe, creative specialty menu, and warm atmosphere make it stand out. My coffee was spot on -- smooth and well-crafted. I also tried the cheesecake, which was tasty but could use a little work -- it came out a bit too warm and soft, not quite the firm, chilled slice I was expecting. That said, it's clear they're putting in real effort. The baristas were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome. Stopped by Northtown Coffee and really enjoyed the vibe. It's got that cozy, organic coffee shop feel that's hard to find -- the ambiance alone makes it worth visiting. I had a latte which was smooth and satisfying. The staff was friendly and the place had a great energy to it. Love that they focus on organic ingredients. Only thing that bothered me was the tablet tip prompt at checkout -- I personally don't love that setup at counter-service spots.
