I have always enjoyed Northstar. This location is by far my most favorite. I think its the layout of the dining room. The food is always solid here too and the bartenders are fabulous, although we miss the one that we always had... havent seen him in a while... ryan? If you have him you're getting a great drink. Cheers.

Definitely pleasantly surprised by this place! The food was better than expected and came out quick which was nice! The pimento cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful and the fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy! Loved the aioli it came with as well. My husband got the avocado chicken sandwich and he said it was good too! The staff was super nice and helpful. We will be back!

The food was average overall but a few dishes really missed the mark. For what they charge the based on the quality and taste it feels overpriced and overhyped. On the plus side the service was good.

This is a very efficient operation. You walk right in, order, grab and number and a seat. We had our food within 5 minutes and it seemed pretty busy when we were there. The Northstar salad was delicious everything so fresh and the goat cheese was mouth watering. Yum!

    Buddha Bowl with tofu.

I ordered the Buddha Bowl and while it was good, it wasn't great like it used to be. The last time I ordered it (which might have been a while ago) it was quite different BUT I'm quite sure the menu description hasn't changed a bit. It used to be comprised of big chunks of perfectly steamed broccoli, cauliflower and (I think the 3rd veg was) carrot on a bed of succulent chewy brown rice. What I got today was a bunch of shredded vegetables, mostly cabbage, with deep-fried something on top that I picked off immediately. A few slices of watermelon radish on the side and a few underdone green beans. It was on a bed of soft sort-of-brown rice. The tofu and the peanut sauce tasted the same but the Buddha Bowl overall is not the same. I miss those good old days. Next time I'll order something else.

Manager talking to the crowd on Earth Day.

On Earth Day, we came to this iconic Clintonville restaurant for a free Earth Day meal. There was a line forming outside before lunchtime. At 11:00, the manager came outside and welcomed all of us and spoke briefly about his commitment to plant based foods. The restaurant was hopping! The food was very good and freshly prepared. The salad was light and hit the spot. I am more of a carnivore, yet the plant based burger was satisfying. I would have probably never ordered it but everybody loves a free meal. The chocolate chip cookie was gooey amazing and just out of the oven. The ambiance was quiet enough to carry on a conversation with my first born son. I would definitely come here again.

Incredible food! Went with my friend Connor who is a server there and showed us all the best things to try. Great ambiance, amazing food. Can't go wrong with Northstar. Very excited about the one that just opened at kenwood mall!

Northstar is our go-to place, especially for quick great fresh food and a glass of wine on our way downtown before a show. So many favorites--classic cheeseburger is one of the best in town, and chicken avocado sandwich and simple salad are fabulous. The best pimento cheese and chips, also. And don't miss brunch on the weekends including a great mushroom frittata, great bacon, and excellent free trade coffee.

Another fabulous chopped salad at Northstar! Love this place and their food. Today was craving a salad and they delivered. Also enjoyed the minty ginger ale. Responsive servers, pleasant ambiance, easy parking on street or in the lot behind the building. This location seems a little smaller than others but has the same friendly vibe as other locations. I wish there were additional locations in Cincinnati!

The staff was amazing here! We were a bigger group of 5 on a busy thursday lunch and they helped us find a table! I got the buddha bowl which i've had a few times before. The tofu has a smokey taste and the peanut sauce is yum. it's so good and the perfect amount. i don't leave hungry but i also don't need rolled out. I'm including some other meals my friends ordered because the food is so vibrant and fresh.

Always fresh ingredients and a healthy selection. I stop here whenever I am in Columbus. I will keep coming back!

It's a fun and energetic vibe. The food comes out quick and the servers are friendly. It's a walk up and order then they bring it to you place. The outdoor seating is small and very close to the street but its still nice. The ingredients are very fresh and tasty with good sized portions. It was a great place for lunch!

Every time we visit back home this on my list of stops! Love love their Thai burrito (I get it with tofu) and simple salad! Food is always good - staff is friendly- and they have several locations as well.

There were only a few spots available to sit so my husband went and found us a table while we ordered. He also found a deck of Giant Uno cards that ended up being the source of many laughs while we enjoyed our coffee there. He had the Turkish coffee. I had the Jabani and a piece of caramel milk cake. I had a couple of bites of the cake and it was fantastic! Love that as you put your fork into the milk just oozed out. The rest I took home to enjoy later. The coffee was good. Very hot. I love that it stays hot the whole time you're there and not just for 5 minutes like most places. We bought a bag of beans to take home. Can't wait to use those. The place is absolutely beautiful and the restroom is something to see. Plenty of photo ops. Take some time and stop in to enjoy this place. We'll definitely be back when in the area again.

Bright natural light, marble floors, sleek seating including a wall of booths, a large sign spelling out their name Matari coffee, and murals on the wall. As for drinks, they have an array of classic Yemeni coffee and matcha options, as well as creative and unique options like the pistachio latte or banana matcha. I opted for a seasonal tiramisu latte with oatmilk and it was fabulous and certainly easy on the eyes. It even came with a small cookie on top for dipping. As for food, their dessert case was filled with beautiful treats like the super popular fruit mousse cakes and macarons. I went with a pistachio croissant and it was great. Super moist and flakey with just the right amount of pistachio cream inside with a dollop of the same cream on top sprinkled with pistachio crumble. I'll end with a few extra details. The wifi was strong and I had no issues at all. There's a parking lot out front and while it was fairly packed when I arrived, there was plenty of space. The bathroom was very clean. The service was awesome. They accidentally made me an iced coffee inside of a hot one and quickly offered to fix it. I really didn't care so I went with the iced one but I appreciated their willingness to make it right. Their coffee prices were pretty on par with other spots, but their desserts were a bit pricey... understandably because my goodness, just look at them. I'll definitely be back.

Drove through several lots with others prowling as well. Ended up finding street parking right in front of of the joint. Line was not out the door, which was delightful since it was only 4 degrees out, but my butt was just inside right up against the door. By the time I got to place my order, a spot opened at the counter to enjoy the meal. This place is as much of a coffee house as it is a restaurant. I saw 4 taps and was hoping for an IPA, but they were for coffee and teas. Got a Diet Coke instead. Had the Smashburger and the fried rice to take out. The burger was one of the most awesome burgers I have ever had. I don't know what they put in it, but it was just downright delicious. The fried rice was for my daughter's lunch tomorrow, but I took a few bites of it just for quality control sake, and it was very good as well. Unlike any fried rice you have ever had.
