I've been waiting to review this place. The service and food by far exceeded my expectations not to tonight. I've gone into this place for just about everything. Quick doughnuts before work (best doughnuts in the valley by far) for their burger special on Tuesday's (pleasantly surprised because the burger is to die for and they don't skimp on the food) , take out for lunch, and finally was able to have dinner here tonight. The service was phenomenal. The manger is ALWAYS so friendly and welcoming. Alex was our server, he did an amazing job at answering all questions I had about menu. They are very accommodating and make this place feel like home. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GOING, JUST GO! Food will exceed your expectations as well as the service. This is an update to the review that I left yesterday as a result of multiple individuals endeavoring to rectify a poor experience for our party of six at the restaurant. Clar (the waitress) -- apologized for the interactions that we experienced. I believe her apology was sincere and it was greatly appreciated. April (manager) -- apologized on behalf of the owner and sought additional clarification pertaining to what occurred with the waitress and the food. She offered a gift certificate to us if we're ever back in the area. I'm not too sure of the likelihood of us being in this area again soon, but the generosity of their offer wasn't lost on any of us in our party of six. It was clear that the restaurant's management and owner are open to feedback and take customer service seriously. This means a lot. This is the best prime rib I have ever had in my life. Every time I am in the Vail area I will go out of my way to go eat here.

While heading up to Beaver Creek, we stopped in Northside for a more reasonably priced breakfast option. We walked by the massive pastry case filled with donuts of every kind (both cake and raised, frosted, powdered, etc) and couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a few. Thje line for the bakery goods moved quickly but was always populated, so it must be a popular spot in town The menu features an assortment of both hearty dishes and lighter options. I ordered the egg white wrap, which despite not coming with any sides was filling. Another member of my party ordered the Yokel breakfast (egg, bacon, hash browns, toast), which was massive. Our waitress asked whether we'd like the bacon crispy or regular, and we loved that she asked as we always specify crispy bacon. read more

We dropped in near the end of happy hour on a Friday night and were greeted by the friendly host. The restaurant/bar was full, but he promptly seated us at the bar on the 'grab and go' side. The bartender, Houston, came over immediately with menus, waters, and took our drink order - very friendly and efficient. We ordered the prime rib egg rolls, short rib tacos, and Mac n' cheese w/ short rib - ALL were DELISH. AND, at HH prices, just might be the BEST VALUE in the valley. Northside Kitchen has been on our "must-do" list in Avon for years. It's a favorite among locals, and for good reason. They have a unique concept of pastries/bakery and breakfast in the morning, and then they're able to transition to upscale dining in the evening. We've been impressed with everything we've ordered, and always have received amazing service. They also have a fantastic selection of take-and-bake family meals, as well as fine wines to go. We were in Denver for New Year's Eve and could barely get a reservation at an early time, but boy am I glad we did. The ambience and food were FANTASTIC, but with the friendliness and geniality of the staff, it was hard not to feel at ease. I had their special of the day, the halibut, but it was hard not to order everything on the menu with how much looked and sounded amazing. Highly recommend. With extreme effort in not sounding cliche I will refrain from listing everything I ate and how it ranked or how the prices were either fair or exuberant for the amount of food you get. What I will inform you of is the fact that this place is unequivocally one of the best restaurants in a 100 mile radius. Visited the Avon/Beaver Creek area the last week of July and my family and I ate here two times; a third attempt was made for a 2nd dinner but they were super busy and we didn't have a reservation. We were greeted by a gentleman that appeared to be the owner by his laid back attitude and Key West Jimmy Buffet'esque attire, He was charming and welcoming and made numerous visits to our table to chat and joke around with my 6 year old. That visit was for dinner and boy what a magnificent dinner it was. We had steak, risotto, short rib and cheeseburger and each was mouthwatering and melt in your mouth delicious. Second visit was breakfast the following morning and hell, I ate so much I almost went into a food coma. The portions are massive but worth every artery clogging bite! We had cronuts, donuts, breakfast burritos, croissant breakfast sandwiches and the "piece de resistance" item was their Eggs Benedict. Holy Hollandaise sauce Batman; what a masterpiece that was. The eggs were masterfully poached, the smoked grilled ham that was layered under the egg was absolutely orgasmic and the hollandaise sauce was literally the best I've had in my entire life and I'm 52 years young so I can assure you that I've had gallons of the creamy concoction in that time. True accolades to the owner and entire staff for feeding us so brilliantly. I sincerely can't wait to go back in the Winter and gorge myself there again and again and again. read more

The owner Steve was a fantastic host and made time to chat with the customers..... and is a very affable fellow. He even let my boys pick a donut before dinner! Waitstaff was attentive and the food was amazing. Generous portions. I enjoyed the Steak Tartare which was outbid this world. the Halibut. Although a bit overcooked the flavor was spot on.My husband enjoyed the Prime cuts egg roll, Caesar and Jim's short rib gnocchi. All fantastic. I had a first rate dinner here. The trout, with side of quinoa and broccoli, was very flavorful and a good sized portion. The staff was very outgoing and the managers stopped by to check in several times (one manager was a ski instructor and great to talk to). The restaurant has a sister restaurant, Southside Benderz, which has excellent burgers in a relaxed bar type atmosphere. Also friendly staff. Both locations have home made doughnuts- if you're skiing, you deserve the carbs. :-) read more

In 2019-2020 we enjoyed several meals at Northside Kitchen, and the adjoining pizza parlor. Sadly, the pizza parlor has been replaced by a fast food burger place, which was good, and the carryout we got from Northside (the Vegan Feast and winter salad) was a huge disappointment even before considering the $43 price. I am not certain we will ever eat there again, but we still have the memories of when it was good. read more

These are my favorite donuts ever, anywhere. The apple fritter is the best, huge, like the size of my head, full of nooks and crannies, completely covered in that sugary glaze, yes, there's apple and cinnamon in there but that's the sidekick compared to the donut itself. I've tried other flavors but always come back to the apple fritter. If I come in too late the morning and want a dozen, the ladies will go in the back and fry up a fresh batch - gotta love that. Recently I added a breakfast biscuit to the apple fritter order for a long road trip. Wowza...that's a great breakfast sandwich, I'm a fan of good biscuits and only so so on the eggs, cheese and bacon part. However, the bacon in this sandwich absolutely made the whole thing sing. The burger and fries are worthy companions to the items on the menu whenever I'm in the mood for lunch. The service here is always friendly and fast. OH....the coffee is hot and robust. It was quite a surprise since I'm kinda picky about my coffee. After I finished it on that road trip, I wish I ordered a large. I know, crazy, cuz I'm always complaining about how our coffee servings in America are way too big. I'm glad these guys are not in my hometown or my ski hometown (Silverthorne) or I'd be there everyday and I will start looking like those massive apple fritters. read more

Have eaten here multiple times times and the food has generally been decent. Stopped by on Sunday and the food was fair to poor. Wait staff has zero interest in serving us and were more interested in chatting among themselves and looking at their phones. I said last time that it would probably be our last visit, last Sunday confirmed that stance.
