Casual spot in an unsuspecting location. The food was good for what we ordered and pretty big portions! Burger was tasty, homemade blue cheese tasty, and crumb cake was phenomenal. Staff was friendly and attentive. Only gripe was charged $4 for a seltzer water, $16 for wine (no wine list and this is a tavern type place) & no soap in the bathroom.

We decided to head here for some apps and cocktails to wind down the day after a few hours at the range. First time here for everyone in our group, and the menu had some interesting items that caught our attention. Lots of parking and the inside was roomy. We were greeted warmly, and the staff was quite friendly and cheerful. It was getting too chilly to sit outside, so we opted to sit in the big room. There was a private party in the back, but it wasn't loud. One of the things that I noticed was that the bartender personally walked my friend's cocktail to the table, and asked her to taste it and compare what might be lacking. I felt that was a great touch. After a dash of triple sec, her drink was perfect. Ordered apps, and they came out in a timely fashion. The nachos were piled high, and the grilled veggie salad with scallops were a hit. Shortly after, the entrees arrived. My burger was medium rare, bacon was plenty, fries were crisp. Wouldn't have changed a thing. Italian Sushi was interesting, and one of the menu items that caught our attention. There were generous cuts of tuna and salmon over risotto cakes, very refreshing. Fish and Chips were actually lightly battered shrimp and my friend brought home the tiny bit that was left. Her husband got his scallop craving sated with some nice plump seared goodness. Dessert...Mousse cake. #thisiswhyimfat

The store owner was so polite and pleasant to be around Not only would I eat here again, but I would come here every day for the rest of my life if I could

We came here yesterday after leaving Laplace due to being disrespected by one of the workers. Came into north and was greeted right away and was sat right away. Our server was Victoria who is excellent. We ordered our food and it came quickly and was outstanding. They even came to our table and dropped off a complimentary lemon cello drink. This place is very quaint and cozy and we can't wait to come back again.

Well it's Friday and I'm trying to reinstitute "Friday Date Night". Sometimes life get complicated and it's been awhile. Okay, let's see if Matt was right. First we look over the drink menu. I'm thinking if I can get enough booze into Mrs. E this might turn out to be a great date night. Review to follow. LOL Nothing jumps out at me but their Moctails look good, so I ask if they can add alcohol to it. Sure is the answer. Ok a little known fact. When Mrs. E has a drink her face turns bright red. With this drink, no change in complexion. I call our waiter over. C'mon man you have to work with me. He returns with two shots of liquor. Yes there it is, red face. Ok enough personal stuff. Next the food. We start with Baked clams. These were really good. Next we order entrees. Mrs. E has some kind of Chicken Kabobs. I don't really care I'm busy keeping an eye on her drink. I had the soy glazed salmon. Not really a fish guy but it's a long story and you've already heard too much personal stuff. Both meals good and I may start liking fish more. BTW, our waiter was Avery. Not sure about spelling but he was pretty good. All and all a good night and meal. So why 4 Stars? Although Avery was a good waiter, service was slow, very slow. Oh a side note, we were sitting near the bar and there was a woman/bar fly type over drinking and kind of being a spectacle. A little entertainment I guess. So will I go back. Yes we will. Oh the review of Mrs. E and the drinks. Hmmm I leave that for another time. Hey Matt N, I mostly agree with your review

Sauce was ehh IMO.I work in elementary school and it tasted like the cafeteria pizza. Its a great spot to grab a happy hour drink. Will be back for that. But never ordering a pizza again. What a disappointment. I've been coming here for years. Other apps have been good. Service was ok. Bartenders were clearly overwhelmed. There was a cash register issue, which detracted from serving patrons Probably just a bad day.

They have a pretty extensive menu. We got the chicken wings to share 11/10 SO GOOD. definitely recommend, especially if you're hungry. We also got the mozzarella sticks, great cheese pull! Also so worth it. I got the crab cake sandwiches, they were very good, not too salty. The Cajun fries were also very good. Definitely recommend their Curley fries, they are literally the best. We also tried their Cajun chicken with grilled vegetables and rice, also very good. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The Mac and cheese and baked potatoe sides were also very good! In terms of drinks, the watermelon mojito was very yummy, they have a full bar so they can literally make anything. Service was pretty fast once we got seated. Such a great family place and they can accommodate for large groups, just be prepared to wait.

We were seated immediately and drink orders taken reasonably quickly, but that's where the promptness ended. Receiving our food took what felt like forever - didn't even receive our appetizer (pumpkin ravioli) until after a table that came in after us already had their meals. Lunch order was pretty basic - two chicken sandwiches and an order of chicken fingers. I don't know what happened but it was an eternity before it hit the table. Everything was hot but none of it memorable - it wasn't bad, just not stellar and certainly not worth the wait. Everyone was incredibly friendly but no acknowledgment of the wait time. Despite the popularity there surely have to be spots in the area with less wait time and better quality. one and done for us.

If you're looking for fresh, healthy, feel-good food, Gourmelos is a true gem in Shoreham…read more Everything we tried tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared -- you can tell right away that quality ingredients and care are a priority here. Nothing felt heavy or over-processed, just clean, nourishing food that actually makes you feel good after eating. What really stood out, though, was the owner's genuine care for customers. He went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying everything and even offered us a taste of his freshly made soup -- which was amazing and such a thoughtful touch. That kind of hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about the heart behind this place.
