They offer outdoor seating in the warmer months & if you are lucky enough you can get a view of the water (unless a car is blocking your view). It gets quite busy on weekends so I would highly recommend making a reservation whether it be for lunch or dinner.

It looks like a quaint little beach house, across the street from the LI Sound. Which sometimes you can see, sometimes you can't due to the volume of cars in the lot. Its has a quiet kind of charm about it, the decor is nothing special. White, rustic looking interior. Nice covered patio for outdoor dining. But what makes La Plage truly special, is their food & service. The food is outstanding. Top notch. It is pricy. I would make this a regular dinner place, but this is once in while treat for me. Make a reservation! Especially if it is anywhere from June to September. Restaurant is very small. Walk ins will get turned away if they are full with reservations. I have been here enough times, i have some favorite menu items: the mussels, which come in a basil pesto cream sauce to die for. Rigatoni pasta with shrimp, has an ala vodka like creamy sauce that will have you wanting more bread to sop up every drop. The Tart Green apple salad is sweet & savory. The sweet corn soup is more than the name, also features crab meat and it is amazing! Creme brulet is my favorite dessert. There are always amazing unique specials on the menu. The portions are light. Get an app & a meal if you want to feel full. Or ask for another basket of bread, which is always freshly made. All of the staff at La Plage are professional, attentive and eager to please. They all add to the specialness of your dining experience.

Honestly, I taken aback. We just left the restaurant and as far as the parking, service, and food,…read moreeverything was great. Our server was awesome. She must be a mom because she was super patient and intuitive of our needs. The meal itself, was great. Unfortunately, when we left I forgot my wireless headphones at our booth. We said our goodbyes to the MIL and drove a bit to a nearby gad station when I realized. I immediately called and was told that no one turned in any headphones. We drove back within five minutes and asked to check. No headphones. I asked if they had a camera and they directed me to the manager, Anthony, who also checked the booth, Lost & Found, and the office. No headphones. They took down my name and number, and said they would reach out if they were located. I think he should have checked their camera systems right then. Seriously speaking, it was either an employee or a patron - as a business owner, I'd want to be sure of which, because if you have a patron that regularly visits and cases people's belongings, I'd want to know so that I can refuse service to them. Conversely, if the perpetrator is an employee, that's even worse, because that means they have the audacity to steal while at work which means they'll steal right from under my nose. I don't like the idea of having to worry about leaving something at a business and not having it returned to me because the problem is coming from inside the house. I've never had this happen before. I'm wondering now, what would happen if I left my wallet or credit card? My headphones were on the seat of a booth, so they were not visible, but if someone that cleaned the table and seats noticed them, it would be easy to pocket without an issue. Crab Cake Salad was decent, although, do not like the honey mustard dressing - asked for ranch instead. Way better. Gourmet Mac w/Pulled Pork was really good. The cheese sauce was ok. The protein brought out the oomph...would taste better if the Mac could stand alone. Kid's Pizza - large serving. Our kid ate about half. Decent pizza. Club Sandwich - my MIL got this and liked it. It was a rather large serving.

If you're looking for fresh, healthy, feel-good food, Gourmelos is a true gem in Shoreham…read more Everything we tried tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared -- you can tell right away that quality ingredients and care are a priority here. Nothing felt heavy or over-processed, just clean, nourishing food that actually makes you feel good after eating. What really stood out, though, was the owner's genuine care for customers. He went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying everything and even offered us a taste of his freshly made soup -- which was amazing and such a thoughtful touch. That kind of hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about the heart behind this place. It's so important to support small businesses like this that are clearly built on passion, integrity, and community. Gourmelos is doing it right, and I'll absolutely be back.

It did take the owner some time to make all the gyros for four of us, but the turnout was so delicious! The homemade hummus is so smooth and tasty. It melts instantly in my mouth. The lamb gyro I got was such a great portion, I wasn't hungry until late night. The amount of ingredients in the gyro besides the lamb, cucumbers, olives, and celeries, makes it incredibly flavorful. Highly recommend!

Our waitress was wonderful and greeted us and gave us a menu for Restaurant week as well as the regular menu. The dining room was cozy and the decorations at the entrance were beautiful. We started with calamari from the regular menu, as well as chicken pot pie rolls with cranberry sauce and baked clams from the restaurant week menu. Then for my entrée, I got the flat iron steak with gorogonzola and chimichurri sauce, and my friend got the catch of the day which was a mahi-mahi. We both really enjoyed our meals and had a lot of leftovers. I liked the steamed veggies and mashed potatoes that my steak came with and she really enjoyed the fish then when we got to the end, we each got to pick a dessert and we tried the cappuccino mousse chocolate cake, as well as the chocolate ice cream. Then on the back of the receipt, there's a stamp for 10% off to purchase pies at the window outside from their sister location, NoFo Pot Pies. We had a great time here and service was excellent. I am looking forward to our next visit.

First the waitress was annoyed that we had made a reservation for 10 but only seven of us showed because three people were ill. She was rather rude about it and made us move and put the seven of us at a table that was clearly meant to seat 5 comfortably. When we received our orders, everything was mixed up. We decided just to keep what we got because we had waited so long for dinner to arrive . My drink had no mint in it as described on the menu,My flat iron steak was tough and chewy and My mashed potatoes were cold . Thankfully, the people I was with, I love and that made the night enjoyable, but we could've done that anywhere and not have paid so much for a very disappointing dining experience.
