Haven't been in a minute, so I stopped in for breakfast and had porridge. It was thinner and much sweeter than the last time, but still had the basic flavours- I prefer more cinnamon and cloves. The juice was $7 and I don't mind paying that much, however- this is just limeade. It should read lime juice with a hint of soursop and lots of sugar. The food here is decent. This is the place that you go to if you don't feel like cooking at home. I had some Cow Foot Soup today. Every day there is a different soup of the day. Yesterday it was Mannish Water (Goat Head Soup). The prices here are fair. There is free parking in the side lot. Christmas Fruit Cake arrives tomorrow on Dec 11. Incredibly rude on the phone. I placed an order for delivery and it was canceled, which is fine that happens. I called and simply asked if they were still doing delivery. The woman on the phone rudely told me that "because we don't have anything you want'. I asked what they were out of because I wanted to place an order with something they did have. I've picked up food from here twice. Both times I got the oxtails, rice and peas, fried plantains and cabbage. Food could use a little less salt but it was very good! Was playing paintball and hopped on Yelp, this treasure was first on the list and boy oh boy am I glad I decided on going. The food is laid out and the employees serve you by plate. Small is around 8 bucks and large is around 10 bucks. I opted for the stewed oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage (Drooling thinking about how delicious the meal was) the oxtail was moist, Juicy, fall off the bone tender. The cabbage was perfectly seasoned and soft yet crunchy and I can't give enough praises to the rice and peas! the friendly hostess put some of the oxtail juices over the rice for that extra pizazzz! I also tried the mild beef patty and immediately I knew the beef patties were made fresh on site because it was perfectly crisp and not too flaky. For dessert cheesecake was my choice and it was heavenly, also fresh and creamy with a hint of dreamy ;). This place is what I'd love to have every Sunday or any day of the week let's be real here. I was in the area and decided to give this place a try and boy am I glad I did! The service was amazing the lady helping us was super helpful. The food was scrumptious to say the least and as a Dominican who grew up eating oxtail I was blown away!!! The portions were so generous and very affordable. I live in Queens and I'm considering coming here on the weekends for my fix. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try you will not regret it. I was greeted quite well, if even through a mask. The restaurant was clean & the food looked fresh. Kind of think I've been to another location of theirs locally. When asked about the chicken was it chopped with the bones, I was advised, it was bone-in chicken. Well, it didn't answer my question, so I ordered curry chicken. I wasn't happy with the young cashier. She wore her mask incorrectly-NOT covering her nose. But I made sure that she didn't speak while bagging my food. After I ate my food I realized, YES, they relocated or changed the name. The curry had a nice lil kick to it. The chicken though....I kind of thought the cook took a mallet to it. There were so many spiny bones in there I could've gotten one lodged in my throat. All that needs to be done, use a nice sharp knife to cut around/through the thigh bone. I gave them 1 star for their nice hospitality, 1 Star for cleanliness & 1 Star for flavor. Options are limited for 'fresh' Jamaican food, so I'm not sure if I'll return. read more

Over priced for the quality of food, I had a small oxtail meal with a bottled drink and it cost me about 25 dollars. Employee was having a conversation on the phone while ringing me up and clearly didn't care. If I'm going to pay 25 for a small meal and drink I expect higher quality than what I reviewed from this establishment. Picked up a large ackee & salt fish, got home started eating but some how it was not good. I realized it had no salt fish. Folks I'm Jamaican born & bred. There is no such thing. Call a few friends & I was told that it's a thing now. You have to order the ackee and a order of salt fish & mix them together. There is no such thing. But I think there should be full disclosure from the server, simply inform customer There NO SALT FISH IN OUR ACKEE. I would have been thankful to know because me na eat it then. No thank you. I'm surprised because I have been going there for years the food is excellent. So with that said ask before you get the ackee. I've been going to this place for a while now off and on. I've tried the curry goat, stew peas, oxtail (three times and each time it tastes different) most of the soups, ackee and salt fish and the patties. Today I tried the oxtail again and today I realized that it was different yet again from the other times I had oxtail. I must say I was very dissatisfied this time as I got at least two mouthfuls of ginger. It wasn't easy to tell it wasn't meat because the gravy is dark and the pieces of ginger were huge. No problem I like ginger but ok it was just a lot that could have been just chopped up smaller. The main thing I did not like was that they seem to be supplementing the oxtail meat with other (cheaper) cuts of beef. I understand oxtail has become very expensive but come on! We are paying more for oxtail in general now so I want it all to be oxtail!! Adding other cheaper cuts of beef is what my mother would do to stretch the pot for more people but damn I want all oxtail if I order oxtail! I probably would only return for the soups in the future if I want a quick meal. The soups are consistently delicious and are great when you don't have time to cook. The roti is not made on the premises but it was okay tasting. The people at the counter were pleasant and helpful and the restaurant was neat and clean as usual. read more

The stew chicken and curry goat were delicious. The jerk chicken was also very good, but I would have liked it to be more on the spicy side. They have three different sized platters, and each come with a generous amount of rice, vegetables and plantains. I'm so glad that I found this place on Yelp! I have never witnessed such rude behavior. I have gone there a few times and felt uncomfortable but this will be the last. Their rice and peas is mediocre and there jerk chicken is bland. The beef has fat left on it. Rude service, bad food, what a bad combination. The 3 out of 4 times I went the cesspool was overflowing. It doesn't help that the music is so loud they cannot hear the customer over the large food warmer piled high with empty platters that customers cough on. I will never go there again. read more

Recommended! Large selection of very tasty Jamaican dishes. The curry chicken was fantastic, as was the jerk. It's not very close to where I live but totally worth the trip. Food was well packed for takeout and smelled amazing on the ride home.
