Beautiful place. Appetizer was delicious and light. Mains were well seasoned and big portions. Desert was phenomenal. Will be returning.

Update: So hubby goes to pick up order, gets home, unpacks food & our 2 apps were correct but the 2 dinners were both the incorrect entrees I ordered. It was close to closing & my hubby called them to let them know. He went back & at least they made the correct dinners & since food can't be given back, the wrong ones were ours as well. Yes, we now have 2 extra nice dinners plus complimentary dessert. That was commendable so thank you for that. I did not eat, as it was late & I was aggravated honestly just went to bed . I'm sure I will enjoy the meals later. Thank you again for making it right. I took off 1 star for the experience placing the order & another for the error & inconvenience of making 2 trips. Rating has nothing to do with quality of food. Their food has always been delicious ! Just placed a $100 take out order... first impression... the rudeness of "not hearing the order" & having to repeat it & then just being hung up on instead of a thank you, see you soon. Love this place! Food is delicious. We always order chicken parmigiana it is flavorful, cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the sauce on veal Salerno. Had an appetizer of pasta carbonara and was pleasantly surprised with their nachos! Salads were fresh and dressings were very homemade and delicious. Dropped by on a weekday around 7pm. Kinda surprised they let us come in considering they close at 8pm, so I appreciated it. I ordered a chicken Cesar salad, and Nonnas pork ragu. While my boyfriend ordered chicken parm. My dish was much tastier than his! The pork ragu was so filling I couldn't finish it. They do allow take home options if you can't finish. The ambiance was pleasant, it was empty because we came near closing. I also saw a sign outside that they do live music some days. Overall, great food and great service. read more

UPDATE: The owner asked me to call her this morning and she was very apologetic and understanding of why we were so unhappy w our experience last night. She is sending us a gift card so we can try again. I am grateful that she reached out to me to try to remedy the situation. Just left. Tried it for a 2nd time to give it another chance. The place was half empty but they still placed us right next to the kitchen and where the workers were doing the utensils. We were the only patrons placed in that room w them. When I complained they told me they were setting up for a party tomorrow. So I guess tonight doesn't matter. When my alla vodka came, my chicken was charred and it ruined the meal. They never offered fresh pepper or grated cheese. I had to ask. Isn't this an Italian restaurant? Nope, never again. I don't understand why I see so many cars on this parking lot every day. Here is my husband's review. He feels like it was tavern food at restaurant prices. He was psyched to order the linguine and clam sauce but it came doused in one clump in oil and garlic, and he tasted no white wine whatsoever. Great family friendly restaurant! Was impressed by the food and the value. Our family of 4 (plus 2 toddlers!) ordered drinks, appetizers and dessert. Everything was great and toddler friendly. Appetizers: stuffed mushrooms and fried calamari. I am very picky about my stuffed mushrooms and these were great! Entrees: we mostly stuck to the chicken dishes. Mine was the best because I asked for the sauce on the side. Others had way too much sauce. It was still yummy, but they weren't able to eat it all because it was too rich. Dessert: Chocolate cake was OK, but the turtle was amazing! Overall, great ambience, they had a band playing outside, which was really fun for the kids to watch and dance to, and the inside was cozy and could be great for a date night as well. read more

Amici's is the perfect casual Italian restaurant, where you feel like you're family the moment you walk in. Although it's right down the road from us, I never tried it until I was looking for a place to have my husbands surprise birthday party. A friend recommend this restaurant, so I went a couple of times to check it out. The food is amazing and so are the portions! Each time I took a friend there we ended up taking half our food home, which we didn't mind since we had another delicious meal the next day. They also have a separate room for the bar area, which is also just as nice as the restaurant. After talking to Tina who sets up the parties, I was confident that it would be a great success, which it was. The service was impeccable, and so were the apps and the entrees. They go over every detail with you, so there are no surprises at the end of the party, since that is the last thing I wanted to deal with at the end of the party. Everyone who attended this event was so impressed and absolutely loved the place and the staff. I can't say enough about the service and the entire atmosphere of this place. I would definitely have another event here, and a couple of our guests are planning on doing that as well. Not only are the catering options reasonable, but everything on the menu was absolutely delicious! This is definitely going to be one of our new favorite restaurants. My friends, family and I are planning on going back here often, and for my mom to like it as much as she did says a lot! I think I found my new favorite restaurant thanks to Restaurant Week! A family owned establishment for 27 years that is serving up great service and delicious foods. We started with fried calamari, it was excellent! Served with a tasty marina sauce. We also had the sriracha roasted Brussel Sprouts, very tasty. Both were generous portions perfect for sharing. For our main course I had lemon Tuscan pasta topped with crisp chicken cutlet and tomato. My new favorite pasta dish, simply outstanding! My husband opted for penne aka vodka topped with fried chicken cutlet. The sauce was spot on. All was exceptionally well done. Had a terrific meal here recently on a warm sunny afternoon. Have to hand it to Amici, as their new backyard seating area is spacious and offers perfectly situated social distancing in a nice atmosphere. Large tent in the middle along with high tables and chairs along the outside. Plus, on the weekend we were here they had a live band playing set up on a stage area who were terrific and played a lot of 70s rock. Plenty of tunes from the Eagles and such. The food here is both plentiful and delicious. You won't walk away hungry, and might even take a doggy bag home to chow down on the next day. Nice helpful staff, and fairly priced considering the portion sizes. Good thing we made reservations as it was packed when we left. We started off with a few of their house cocktails, then into appetizers, and followed by main dinner plates which varied from seafood, pasta, and chicken. All prepared perfectly and large portions. No complaints at all as it was a very satisfying meal with great entertainment. There was some confusion about our order, and delay getting it. However, the manager made things right without us even asking, and although we told them we understood about the delay, they insisted that we be compensated. This is the way to run a business kind of place that shows pride and quality to its customers. It's very clear that we are now living in a very difficult time. This horrible virus is taking its toll on everyone, if not physically then emotionally. I am a big fan of supporting local businesses so when we heard about Amici's offering a deal of five items for $25 i was all in to support them. I have eaten there before but it was a while ago, pre Yelp, so this review is for the current situation. It was actually pick up only. So order, pay over the phone and pick up at a pre determined time. So we took advantage of their offer. In fact we ordered 10 items for $50. Actually my younger daughter suggested it. First, and very important, SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES. We can love them, hate them, or anything in between, but we should agree we want them to succeed. So our experience. 10 meals for $50, or $5 per meal. These were not huge portions but for $5 most were sufficient. The Pasta Rustica was more than adequate as a meal. On the other hand, the mozzarella sticks, 4 pieces for $5, was a little disappointing. Chicken Parm. A fair deal, and the salad was plentiful. For the most part the deal of 5 for $25 was ok. Some think it's a great deal some don't. For me the main point is to support any and all local businesses when you can. We can deal with the pros and cons of the businesses later. I've lived in the area for 25+ years and people swear by this place. If you love this place add an extra star. I don't want to yuck your yum! To me, it's a typical old school, red sauce joint. We have an end of the year get together with a few friends and this year someone recommended we go to Amici. The restaurant is large enough and in the very back there are tables set up to accommodate larger parties. I ordered the house speciality, Chicken Cutlet Parmesan. It comes with spaghetti and a side salad. The CCP was a nice size and fried to perfection. Baked with oozy mozzarella cheese, this is everyone's favorite. The spaghetti? Boxed pasta topped with runny red sauce. Good enough for some, just not for me. I chased this meal with a Peroni on tap. Some folks ordered coffee and dessert, the mini cannoli was pretty good. Service was great, no complaints here. Amici is large enough to host your party/bridal shower. read more

Went to this nice cozy spot to enjoy Long Island Restaurant Week. (I always like to get to at least one new place while it is happening.) Cute decor, lots of booths and tables. The seating areas looked and felt mostly secluded because of the layout of the place which added to the cozy feel. The service was average. I didn't feel like too little attention or too much attention was paid to my table, and the food (apps, entrees, dessert) were all served in a timely fashion from one another. The food was really good - enjoyed the meatballs and calamari for appetizers, and went with a seasonal pasta for my entree, as well as a seasonal pumpkin gelato which was a great way to finish off the meal. It was served in a cute little to-go pint container which I tasted and then took to go since I was too full from dinner to finish eating dessert. Good dessert perk though if you like gelato and want some to take home! Would definitely pop in again to try one of the other menu items that looked good! read more

This was the best Italian meal I have had in awhile!!! Great atmosphere, great server, and some of the best pasta I've ever had!! CJ was our server and he had a great personality and was well versed in the menu with fabulous customer service! We started with complementary bread which was good and there was no hesitation when we requested a second basket. My one friend ordered stuffed clams for an appetizer, I didn't get to sample them, but they looked amazing! I ordered a Blueberry Mule and that did not disappoint! I ordered the Seafood Chiara for my meal and I pretty much licked the bowl clean! The sauce was awesome! I could taste the seafood in each and every bite! Pretty good food. I really enjoyed my pasta dish. It was the amici dish with chicken but I changed up the sauce to pink. I really enjoyed my dish even though it had too much cheese. I especially enjoyed the flavor of the eggplant in the dish. My sister got the pasta with the crab meat. It wasn't my favorite because I could taste the fishiness in the sauce. My brother got the chicken franchise and he loved it I enjoyed the sauce but the whole wheat pasta was overcooked. The appetizers were decent. The clams were not good. They were not fresh and had some bitterness to them. The mussels were good especially the sauce but some still had sand in them. We all really enjoyed the fried artichokes. We would come back here.
