The food is very good in this restaurant. The service is very good and the atmosphere is very good. I feel that some of the meals are very small portions and I do not feel full when I'm done ! when I get the chicken cutlet Parmesan the chicken is small portions The lobster roll is very small. FOOD WAS VERY GOOD but very odd things going on with the staff. First and foremost, the bus boy kept pacing back and forth with no work to do. He had ear pods in??? Then not kidding, he starts doing push ups on the wall, he kept pacing and did 5 more sets of push ups on the wall. Can someone please fire him? We moved tables and when I told the young girl in pink, she said, yeah just get your stuff and menus and move where you want. Furthermore, I went to bathroom and waiter was bending all the way into walkway when I passed by and HE DIDN'T MOVE, really weird. Then I go into bathroom and staff member was chipping paint. I really liked the food. So many places seem like the sauce is sour, but Amici's sauce was delicious. I had the Eggplant Parm. I honestly never finish my meal, but this was too delicious to not finish. Seems like a family friendly place. Had a changing table in the woman's bathroom. Only odd thing was we walked in without a reservation at about 3:30 or 4 and there didn't appear to be any other tables, but they were hesitant to seat us because they needed the table back by 5:30. Seemed like there was a lot of staff. Maybe they get super busy later? They have outdoor seating in the back which looks like it would be nice to check out. read more

Went here for the first time after passing it a bunch of times. The outdoor dining area is huge. And they had live music which was great. The band plays on Friday and Saturdays. Our waiter was amazing! His name was TJ and he recommended some dishes to my boyfriend and I which we ended up trying. They were amazing. We got the rigatoni rustica w/ chicken and a warm lobster roll (Rhode Island style). I would definitely come back! read more

We decided to go with the Prix Fix dinner. I had the stracciatella soup, for an appetizer, which was not a cup, but a bowl of deliciousness. I had to wrap half, to save room for the entree. For dinner, I had the chicken stuffed with prosciutto over farfalle in a lemon/marsala sauce - again, delicious. My husband had the baked clams. They come whole, he prefers chopped, but we agreed excellent flavor. He also had veal parmagiana with ziti and meat sauce. The veal was good, but needed to be pounded down thinner. He loved the ziti with meat sauce. We were both full, so we took dessert to go - he had cheesecake, I had chocolate mousse. Both were enjoyable. I was shocked and disappointed that the $10 sautéed spinach side dish was made with frozen spinach! I've had other food here that was very good, but I found this to be extremely cheap on their part. read more

Came for valentines day dinner with another couple. Had the filet which was so tender and cooked perfectly. My wife had stuffed flounder which was also delicious. Living local and not coming here for a while they certainly have upped their menu & great wait staff. Will be back there soon, so glad we went. read more

Due to the covid virus, instead of having my son's 50th birthday celebration indoors we decided on a family dinner outdoors at Amici's. I spoke with the catering manager, Louie who was very helpful and patient assisting us with food choices and set up. I called him several times to ask questions and when he was not available, he called me back asap. The tables were set up on the patio with seating allowing for social distancing guidelines. The food was absolutely delicious as was quite apparent from listening to the comments from the guests. The staff were professional, polite and attentive to our needs. Thanks to Louie and staff, the party was a successful, delightful experience. I will be sure to recommend Amici's to friends and family. read more

Have been to Amici's numerous times over the years. The food is always very good, though the portions have succumbed to "shrink-flation" since COVID. Menu is also shorter, though plenty of options still exist. Visited last evening with some out of town guests (5 of us total). Got there early and there were plenty of tables available. They sat us in the far back of the dining room which was fine. We were the only ones in that part of the restaurant. Shortly afterward they sat a group of about 15. It immediately became unbearably loud and unruly. The group was moving tables, standing close to our table and VERY loud. We literally couldn't hear each other. This place isn't cheap, our bill was over $250. This group had made a reservation, we could hear ALL of their conversations. Why would you put us in that area if you knew they were coming??? There were plenty of other tables available when we arrived. Classless of this place to do that to us. Woman in charge seemed to care less. Offered to put up a partition?? So we couldn't see them? How does that help the noise?? I hope this group comes often to compensate for losing us. Way too much $ to spend for this type of treatment. There are plenty of Italian restaurants just as good. This place may have gotten too big/popular for their own good. read more

We have become frequent diners here because the food and service are very good and they have live music on weekends. This past Saturday evening we went to the restaurant with our adult son and his family including our two young granddaughters. We sat on the covered outdoor patio. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Colleen and all the wait staff were very attentive and professional. The musicians. Accoustic Soul, were exceptional. We've been eating at this restaurant for quite awhile and generally pleased with the food and service. Today, my wife had some exceptional good news and wanted to get take out. She offered 3 places one of which was Amici's. I suggested that she use them since it was on her way home and it fit what she wanted to have for dinner. She arrived home after the 11mile drive tired ready to kick her shoes off, relax and eat. As she opened the bags she realized her dinner wasn't included but paid for, even after the clerk read off the order telling her it was there. Of course she called and whoever was on the phone offered to see if their driver could deliver it for us. He came back and said no, sorry. So back in the car she drive another 22miles round trip to pick up her dinner. Now let me touch upon the quality of the food that was delivered correctly. There was calamari over done and Eggplant. I have to say I understand the issues restaurants have had under the Covid restrictions. But what happened to the quality food and service. You do a customer wrong, you make it right or say good buy to that customer. She just returned back making the 22mile round trip in an hour and 15 min since it's the evening rush hour. Both the people at the front and the waitress seemed extremely towards me. It felt like they had no personality and almost like they didn't want to be there. The food was alright, but I was charged inconsistently from the price on the menu. Besides that, the place had a very nice atmosphere and was beautifully decorated. I just couldn't shake off the staff's rude behavior though. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

We visit Amici's a least once a month. The bar staff Debbie, Adrienne and Colleen are always attentive and personable. The food is always good and the prices are very fair. Delicious food and great ambience inside and out. One slight issue is that if you're on keto forget about this place because it's carb central. Everything on the menu is served with some kind of pasta. It's good pasta, but make sure you work out the next day to burn off all the carbs. read more

Always a fan favorite of this Establishment for over 20 years! Greeted and sat down right away. Sat in the first room, we usually like the back room because it's little more cozy and fire place but their was a private party. Water and bread brought right away. Love that they leave kraft of water at the table. Bread was focaccia, rustic Italian bread and a whole grain bread. Nice selection. All toasty and crunchy. They explained it was restaurant week- for $29 we got appetizer/salad or soup than our entree and dessert. Pretty good deal. I noticed the menu has changed and a particular dish was missing. I asked the waiter was it new menu and he said yes but if their was still a particular dish they would make it for me. Which I thought was awesome of them. I started with house salad with house dressing- delicious- salad had lettuce, cucumbers, olives and celery. Missing the roasted peppers as in previous times I had gotten. My husband got the baked manicotti- nicely cooked and melted cheese on top. Great tasting sauce. I ended up getting CAPELLI VERDE, BIANCO E ROSSO. grilled chicken, jalapenos, & sundried tomatoes in a white wine sauce topped with ricotta cheese over capellini. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Right amount of garlic and white wine sauce. The sundried tomatoes adds another layer of taste. Dessert we took home but their homemade cheesecake is amazing with their walnut crust. We've lived in the area many years but never tried Amici because I like steak restaurant's mostly. We decided to try. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy feeling. We started with the fried calamari and we loved it. The bread basket is not your typical bread. It's a mixed variety and so good. My meal was the Chicken Picatta, it was over spaghetti. Excellent. My husband had the Lemon Chicken. It was made with a lemon sauce and fresh tomatoes. He loved it. The portions were big. We couldn't finish so took them home. We ended with wonderful deserts. Teramasu and Banana Pudding with Nutella. We will be coming back for sure. The service was very good as well. I think you will enjoy also. read more

Live music on the weekends. Nice menu. I loved their Spring Apple Salad. I did substitute the kale for mixed greens just out of personal preference and added grilled shrimp. Only comment I'd make is that they might want to take the shrimp tails off before serving. Rather not reach into my salad to pick up each shrimp. So my Uncle Buck always speaks so highly of Amici's. I went once a few years back with them. I really enjoyed it it then. Now I came back to visit he said we have to go again and I agreed. We sat in the bar area what has some TVs on with news and sports. The dinning room is nice and up scale with staff properly dressed. My uncle likes the bar area so we sat there. I was wondering if the food was be as good as it was many years ago. It was and actually I think even better. We started with a Cesar salad that had a slice of fried parm cheese as a topping. The flavor and of the dressing with the fried fresh parm was amazing! Yeah the salad was amazing and I'm not a huge salad guy. The bread basket came out and it was a great selection of well baked fresh breads you find only at a bakery. Then I had the Seafood Chiara. The scallops were small but very tender and packed with flavor. The sauce was made with love and you can taste it. Yeah love it's an ingredient if you're a foodie you know what it taste like. Came here for a birthday party which had a prix fixe menu (as they do). None of the Italian options really appealed to me at that moment so I went against conventional wisdom and opted for the steak. Man was I glad I did. As good a steak as I've had in recent memory, and I live in NYC where there's more than a few great steakhouses. After cutting a slice across the steak I could tear it into bite sized pieces without further cutting. Flavor was EXCELLENT as well. I just wasn't expecting this in an Italian restaurant. Only complaint, the caesar salad dressing was bland. No flavor to speak of. The whole table concurred on this. Otherwise, great service and an excellent experience. read more

This is my second review of Amici's in quite some time and what a wonderful experience this time. I ordered the medallions of Chicken via doordash which did not disappoint. There was enough food in that dish to feed an army! so much so that I could even get to the side of delicious looking homemade meatballs! left almost 3/4 of the dish for my wife and son who are both working. The dish made plenty of chicken medallions stuffed with mozzarella cheese, crumbled sausage, and spinach over bow tie pasta with a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. We went there a few days ago and were so disappointed. First time since Covid, but we were there right before everything went south. They had been a favorite of ours since we moved here in 2003, always consistent in quality and good size portions that always left enough to bring home. Loved their fresh, warm bread baskets and the delicious seasoned olive oil for dipping. That quality has changed, dramatically, along with a very limited menu. Instead of the delicious warm breads and seasoned olive oil, we were served cold Italian bread with hummus!! Really, who thought that was a good idea? We ordered a Caesar salad for two, which was ok, but not the same dressing it once had. My husbands main dish was Lobster Rustica, which was excellent, but small in portion. I had Chicken Milanese which was far too dry, not enough Glaze or veggies. We shared a slice of Cheesecake, which was so dry, we couldn't finish it. Been here at least a half dozen times or more; try to support local businesses. The food was extremely meh this go around but it's more the disappointing lack of service that prompted this review. We have a Secret Santa lunch tradition with a few girls and have gone here the past couple of years. Upon making the reservation I was very specific we'd like to be seated in front of the fireplace as we take an annual picture. Was told as long as a party didn't book after us the spot was ours. Come to see about 10 ladies got our spot so their 10 trumped our 4; they clearly called after us so that was disappointing...it's not like they were that much larger of a group. Our curt waitress certainly wasn't in the holiday spirit and seemed to care less about us or our experience. If you're not a people person then maybe find a new profession but don't walk around will a cool, distant attitude and think hospitality is your thing. Looking like we'll be taking our tradition elsewhere next year; no sense going somewhere where you feel unwelcome and the food is nothing to write home about. read more

I've been here twice lately, once for a baby shower and once for dinner. They have excellent food and service and a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone starts with mixed breads accompanied with a couple olive oil dips. We ordered the fried zucchini appetizer, which was very good (could have used a little more salt). The zucchini was cut into very thin coins and lightly breaded, to be dipped in a zesty horseradish sauce. They actually could have been a little thicker--while they were good, it was hard to taste the actual zucchini. Maybe a little more salt as well. We ordered entrees of lasagna, lobster ravioli, and calamari over linguini with pomodoro sauce. Our desserts were the Meyer lemon cake and cheesecake. Everything was delicious and we were all happy with our food! The only thing I wish is that entrees would be accompanied by a side salad. I might also ask for the calamari to not be fried in the pomodoro linguini dish. Our hostess & waitress were both extremely friendly and welcoming. We will be back again! read more

We Arrived at 6:45 pm on a Friday evening. The place did not start to fill up until eight. We were promptly seated. The food arrived piping hot. As appetizers we ordered calamari and zucchini. Both were very good and abundant. As a meal, I ordered butterfly maccheroni alla bolognese. The meat was cooked well and the maccheroni were al dente. Regrettably, the sauce was very salty. For desert I ordered a cappuccino and a slice of cheesecake. The cappuccino was excellent but the cheesecake did not make the cut. The service was great! I am not sure if the chef were having an off day. I may return. The price of the meal was high for a local eatery. read more

If you haven't had the luxury of eating here - GO! My boyfriend and I came here on a very cold weeknight back in January and we were greeted with a warm ambiance and very nice servers/staff. We wanted to try a new place and I am SO glad we did. It was unexpected how great the food was. We started with the mussels, and then go two steaks that were delicious. They were probably the best steaks we have eaten at a restaurant. The sides were hefty and delicious too. You're paying about $25 for a great steak that you definitely couldn't pick out in a store... well worth the money.
