I bought a 2016 Mercedes GL450 from this dealer. As it turns out, the dealer and previous owner were aware that the turbo chargers were blown and needed replacement. DO NOT BUY from this dealer without fully testing the vehicle by a professional. They manage to make the vehicle look far better than they are. This review had to be written within hrs of my horrible experience else it would be diluted. Let me start by saying that Masood @ NSA is a very committed, hard working and talented sales person and I have no qualms with him. My issue is with this so called "5 star rated company", its management and the business ethics and principles it runs on. Experiences like these scar people for the foreseeable future and ruins every used car selling company the buyer deals with in the future. Let me relive my experience word to word. I liked a Tesla Model S P85+ whose price had been reduced from 54k to 52k after it had been on the market for 1 month. I honestly liked the car and started my communications with Masood via texts (all the transcripts of which i will save as a reminder). Masood got the price to 50k after about 25 to 30 txts and in principle I agreed upon buying the car on the evening of 10/5/2017. On the morning of 10/6/2017 I let him know I was running a bit late as I was in meeting all mornings and could come by 2:00 pm instead of the noon time we had discussed. I was about to leave for the dealership when Masood in the spirit of transparency shared the CARFAX report in which it stated that the car was in an ACCIDENT had 2 past buyers and had been acquired in an auction. This rattled me a bit and I got a bit weary. This was around 1:30 pm. Constant texts and persuasions and promises later around 4:45 pm we reached an agreement to buy the car for $49, 700.00 - $300 discount. At this time I passed on all my personal information to run my credit score as Masood and his team were trying to secure my financing business as well and match my DCU rate that I had locked the previous night. I was very very specific that they run my credit after the deal was sealed in principle. Masood was anxious to get the process going after a day's worth of work and over 150 txt messages. I started my drive back home from SJ to Fremont at this time. Around half way of my drive they let me know that my credit was a bit below the excellent mark and I needed to add my wife as well as she had excellent credit. I rushed home and got all of her information and refilled the online application and let them run her credit as well as the deal was in the bag. At this time Masood shared the car pics with me after it was detailed and shared his excitement. Me and the wife were excited as well. We literally started making plans for the car at this time. He also let me know that her credit was 800+ so we were good to go. At this time I texted back as to whether I needed to call my insurance company to be able to drive the car back home and them there was STARK SILENCE.................. After about 1.5 hrs Masood texted me back apologetically saying that someone walked in and bought the car at asking price and he was sorry as some other sales guy was involved. He claimed he had no idea and this occurred when he was running my wife's credit for this very same car. Even though I believe him....It gets me thinking what this so called upper management and 5 star rated company top brass were doing when the final decision needed to be made. They simply went with the highest bidder and did not give a flying hoot of the deal in place. They just got a better deal and did not care the time, effort and verbal deal that was already in place for the car. I have learnt from all my years of experience one important thing......It is that when the going is easy and normal almost anybody looks good and gets all the 5 star ratings in the world but really good companies are those that are ethical and stand by principles and have their ethics in line when they reach these testing cross roads. My wife whose credit is excellent got her credit run and affected obviously, I got my credit run, a verbal agreement was reached between me and Masood, 100 plus texts were exchanged to arrive at this agreement and then some guy with a wand of cash just walked in and offered to buy the car and everything else ceased to matter. These guys not only wasted my valuable time but they also ruined my car buying experience and above all tainted my already cloudy image of used car sales companies. To summarize - THIS COMPANY IS A SELL-OUT.....It's as simple as that and very unprofessional. read more

Recently bought a BMW from them and the car was in excellent mechanical condition and verified with a pre-purchase exam. Pricing was extremely fair and I felt that they did the best to properly value my trade in as well. I would definitely recommend looking for a used car from them. Only thing to note is that if they promise to do work on the due bill, they will try to get it done, but (in my experience) the level of customer service goes down slightly after you purchase the car. Worked with Robbie to purchase a car and one of the things he did was allow me and my wife to test drive the car by ourselves since the wife gets nervous with others in the car. Very much appreciated. We did not get the correct blade key for the car and Robbie met his promise to take care of me after the sale. He and North State Auto could have ignored my request since the sale was transacted but they didn't. It did although seemed like it was going to end up that way due to the kind of responses I initially got such as delayed responses (busy with customers) but in the end, they delivered what was promised to me. I purchased a 2011 Mercedes Benz C63 from North State Auto Sales on 03/31/2017, this is my first out of state purchase without being onsite, here is my experience: I was looking for a Mercedes Benz C63 for many months, I had very specific requirements, I was looking for all original, unmolested single owner car, as most of us are aware, it's extremely challenging to find such a used MB C63 AMG, I was continuously searching in all the popular nationwide and local websites. Many dealers and private sellers claimed to have original good condition cars, as I did more research on those cars and found those claims were not always true. Review of Masood (Salesperson) When I saw a listing from North State in Autotradres website, I texted and expressed my interest, immediately salesperson "Masood" responded, we exchanged several texts, when I was convinced this may be a good car, I called Masood and spoke to him for 10 min., he was courteous, never forceful and always helpful, as we were speaking, he walked around the car and provided his honest assessment, when he mentioned even very minor imperfection (minor rock chips on the hood), I understood I am dealing with the honest person. He provided all the documents, clarified and answered my concerns and questions. I live in Maryland (East coast) and car was in Walnut Creek, CA (West coast), I trusted "Masood" and purchased the car without looking, he arranged for the delivery at very reasonable price, when I received the car, it was exactly as Masood described and even better (of course after cleaning, car got very dirty during transportation). I want to thank Masood and his crew for all their assistance in this purchase, appreciate and value their honesty. They are changing bad perception of salesperson in used car industry. Review of Chris and Sue (Sales manager and Admin. staff) When car arrived to Maryland, I noticed it was missing documents, looks like someone forgot to put those documents in the car prior to shipping it to me, I called the North State as soon they opened in the morning, Masood was out of Office sick, I spoke to Chris, he was the only staff in the office that early, he was not involved in the transaction from the beginning, but when I expressed my concern and frustration, he was very courteous and understanding, he took the issue as his client's issue, he asked for some time to investigate, he called back in 5 minutes and explained what happened, immediately emailed all copies of the documents, he worked with "Sue" (she is DMV document processor at North State), and sent all documents by UPS (overnighted), 4:00pm next day I had all required documents in my hand and was able to register the car, I was surprised with such a wonderful service and experience. I didn't mean to buy a BMW from North State Auto -- it just sort of happened. I'd been looking for a car for a few weeks, and finally reached a point where I was truly convinced that car shopping and awesome experience were mutually exclusive terms. Enter North State. I was driving by on my way to another dealer and stopped by their lot on a whim. Greeting me was one of the lowest pressure salespeople ever... such a nice change from the stereotypical used car pushers I'd had the misfortune of visiting over the prior 14 days. I finally decided to test drive a 528, which I feared I might fall in love with. Of course, I totally did. Still a bit skeptical, I sat down with Tim to talk about price, financing options, etc. He made me feel relaxed immediately and, as others have mentioned, really took the time to get to know me, my story and my circumstances. He was able to secure me a very reasonable APR, a great price on my trade, and a fair deal on the car itself. Additionally, unlike the big box dealerships (Fremont Toyota, I'm looking at you), the boys at North State actually understand that an automobile is a huge purchase and a long term responsibility. They worked hard to make sure I was comfortable with everything before I signed the papers and drove away. Sadly just two days after buying my new car (a 2009 but new to me!), someone scraped my bumper in a parking lot (damn you, hit and run Target asshole). When I called the next day, Chris was amazing at calming me down and assuring me it would all be fine. I stopped by after work that evening and in 15 minutes they buffed out the damage free of charge and sent me on my way a very happy and thankful customer. My husband and I were searching for a BMW for months, to celebrate his recovery from a near death medical condition and came across this dealership through Craigslist and was pleasantly surprised with the great selection of preowned BMW. We found a 2009 335i black on black loaded for a great deal! It was still under manufacture warranty and was in excellent condition. My husband is very selective (we went to over a dozen dealerships) and having him approve this car is a big deal! This is a family owned dealership and there are no pressure sales. Alright... I'm not posting an update on this place just because i don't have anything to do or I'm some kind of promoter for them, but because I feel so indebted to them for all they've helped me with regards to my car and I would be doing them a disservice if I didn't let the public know just HOW great they really are. 1.) BACKSTORY: I got my BMW serviced at EAST BAY BMW (EBB) in Pleasanton (because they are closer) and I seriously got treated like a second rate citizen, because I didn't have THEIR warranty and whatever. They LIED to me several times regarding them servicing my car (they had it for almost two weeks and did NOTHING with it during that time, during which time they REFUSED to give me a loaner car). It was only after my husband called and complained about the wait time and status that they decided to "do anything" about it. When we got the car back, the issue we had with our car was not fixed, in fact, they somehow managed to make it worse. (how is that even possible, right?!) I shall not get into the details because it infuriates me like no other, but here is where North State Auto comes in riding their white horse to save the day. LOL I called Chris and Tim and told them my situation, at which point they told me to bring the car in and they'll take care of it. Not only did I not have to pay the up-front "fee" that EBB charged me, they gave me loaner cars during the time it was being fixed. YES.... CARS as in PLURAL. I was able to "test drive" a handful of their cars on the lot, which was very difficult to not want to buy another one. They fixed my issues and accommodated me in every way they could to make my experience wonderful and make up for the nightmare I had at EBB. Ohhh another note: EBB claims that they have #1 service in all of the WORLD... HAHAHA this is laughable. I mean it would be stretching it to say they had the best service in the county... or maybe state... or country.. but seriously.. the WORLD? this comes to show how delusional those people there are. SMH 2.) I locked myself out of my car and didn't know who to call to help me with my issue, so I called NSA. They went out of their way to contact a locksmith company in my area to come help me with my problem. Was that necessary for them to do? NO... but again, this just comes to show their above and beyond service they have here. 3.) Whenever I need my fluids topped off, wheels checked or ANYTHING done with my car... I now take my car to NSA. I don't even bother looking elsewhere. Sometimes I forget I'm getting my car serviced when I'm over there, because it feels like home. I can't express enough how satisfied I am with all of the service they provide here. They really do pride themselves of making sure they give you the best service, deals, cars, and experience here. They aren't your average dealership... far from it.. they epitomize what a car dealership SHOULD be. I'm just glad I'm lucky enough to have stumbled upon them. To the staff at NSA. You all are..... I not only received a phone call back 10 minutes after I called North State Auto, but I received follow up texts and phone calls the day I booked an appointment to test drive the Range Rover Sport. Upon arriving at North State Auto, my husband and I were warmly greeted by Will. He introduced us to the manger, Tim, whom also greeted us. After a test drive, Tim sat down with my husband and I to discuss finance options and any issues we had with the Range Rover Sport. I requested a copy of the mechanical inspection checklist and Carfax report. Tim gladly presented both documents and went through each report line by line to discuss any concerns we had. After about an hour of discussion, my husband and I decided we needed some time to think about purchasing the Range Rover Sport. We told Tim we wanted to grab a bite to eat and discuss our options over dinner. Tim gladly gave my husband and I the car keys to the Range Rover Sport so we could drive it to dinner. So amazing! I have got 328i from these guys and it was pretty good experience until I bought the car. It was supposed to have bluetooth and usb options. So I went back to them n they said I need to buy a some switch which triggers Bluetooth which is less than $50.Then I took my car to BMW dealer and they said there's no Bluetooth for my car and need to install it which is $800 and forget about usb. I'm shocked and called these people. Tim,Manager has apologized and told that would deal with it. He always seems to be professional and trustworthy , so I waited for his call. There they go , the drama has started .They have never called me. Whenever I call them they are finding reasons to escape saying manager is not available etc. They have taken my number everytime I called them but never called me back .This is very unprofessional and I got very upset after calling them couple of times(as I live far) . The real service comes into play when the they fix serious issues typically over $500.They have failed badly. So if u do business with these guys make sure you car is not gonna run into issues and have all the options properly working coz they are not gonna deal with your issues anymore . Cant say enough positive things about this dealership. Went here on a Tuesday night to look at a few cars I saw on their website. David was the initial salesperson we dealt with and he was excellent. Was attentive, not-pushy and was able to show us all the cars on the lot. However the car we went there to see was not on the lot, he said come back friday and the owner will have it here. Came back friday and sure enough it was fate. We got there just as one of the owners showed up with the car we were looking for. He introduced himself and promptly tossed us the keys - "go ahead, take her for a spin". Just like that he let us test drive. Needless to say, the car was in perfect condition, the sale took about 30 minutes and we are 100% satisfied with everything. We bought a BMW from North State recently. The guy who did our paperwork was SUPER friendly and all around good guy. The guy who sold it to us originally was a bit pushy, he got us great deal though so we were happy. But there were a few glitches that were annoying after such a big purchase, such as our sales guy stating that he filled up the gas tank for us, but it was less than half full when we drove away. The inside was not very clean, but totally fixable ourselves. We were told that there was only one key available after the purchase. The wind deflector was not included with the car and not disclosed to us prior to purchasing. And the oil was less than the minimum amount, which we realized as soon as we got home. None of these things are especially awful, but it's not the kind of service one would expect when making such a big purchase from a reputable business. read more
