I came with a friend on a Sunday morning to grab a quick bite. The staff was not too friendly and didn't provide much detail on what they served. We both got a turkey club and it was pretty good but think it would be even better warm. The place itself wasn't very warm and cozy but the pasteries and food did taste good. They were very flavorful! I would come back for another pastry if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

A hidden gem! Delicious pastries and friendly wonderful staff. I went two days while staying at the Hotel Covington and had their apple butter cruffin and their special pistachio cream cruffin. I could have eaten their entire display case but needed to seize the chance of having their famous croissant/muffin combo. Light and fluffy with the right amount of sweet Would definitely recommend making a stop here if you're in the area for a breakfast or sweet treat !

I had been looking forward to giving this place a try but when I finally did, I was quite disappointed. Wished they had offered more coffee options and a warm welcome or greetings from their staff. It would have made this experience much better. The gentlemen behind the counter seemed like he was upset or just didn't want to be there. It's a cute place and the coffee glazed babka was pretty good but wished the experience was better.

North South Baking is phenomenal. The only downside is that you have to go early, because they sell out. I went at 10am, and they were already sold out of veggie breakfast sandwiches. Everything I've gotten to eat here is so good. The staff is always so nice and helpful.

We went to North South around 8 am on a weekday and were instantly greeted by the pleasant aroma of freshly baked goods. I was looking forward to trying the breakfast sandwiches but they would not be ready for another hour, so we settled for sweet baked goods. The coffee glazed cinnamon roll was soft, warm, and decadent without being overly sweet. The beery danish was also very good with balanced flavors and a very nice croissant texture of the bread. The coffee was underwhelming, unfortunately. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their selection!

I'd been searching for donuts in the Covington area to give out as work treats, and found a nearby place in Newport. It was not what I was hoping for, so I luckily broadened my search to pastries and lucked upon North South. It is in the same building as a pizza shop, so easy to miss. There was an assortment of croissants, sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, and other treats that looked good. I grabbed a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich for myself and it was delicious, honestly the best breakfast sandwich I'd ever had because of the flaky croissant with seeds and cheese! I didn't get to try any of the pastries, but would make a trip back just the the BEC sandwich.

Yummy. Yummy. Yummy. Fresh baked high end baked goods made with quality ingredients by a bad ass baker chick. Also conveniently located on the same street as Left Bank Coffee- which offers Deeper Roots Roasted coffee- so you can get your baked goods and your caffeine needs met in a very convenient and quick fashion. They sell out sometimes - so go early. Also, in the later part of the day - the same location offers pizza and beer.

Fabulous place to stop for pastries plus there is room to dine in! You can enter the business from either the street in front or behind it. There's metered street parking which is convenient on a weekend when it's not too challenging to find a spot. It was quiet when we were there and all tables were available. It's sunny and bright and there were fresh flowers on the tables. Overall a fun place to grab a treat and cup of coffee! Everything is delicious HIGHLY recommend.

We quickly picked up some pastries before heading down to red river gorge! This bakery always has a good spread and variety of items. We got the carmelized onion and goat cheese croissant pastry and the blackberry twist. Something savory and something sweet :). Both were yummy and flaky. They are also one of the few bakeries open early on the weekends, they open at 7am! Street parking available!

Great local bakery showcasing small batch baked goods with an ongoing rotation of seasonal favorites. I had a breakfast sandwich that was absolutely delicious - with tons of cheese, surprisingly fluffy eggs and bacon. I took it back to the office and as suggested - nuked it in the microwave for 90 seconds to warm it up. Hindsight being 20/20 I probably would have only done 60sec in the future - that way it's easier to eat sooner, and probably won't overcook the croissant.

My family visited North South Baking on Saturday and I'm still thinking of my delicious croissant! I had the pistachio croissant and it was perfectly flaky and it was a delicious sweet treat, a reminiscent of baklava but with more focus on the croissant and frosting. My husband had the chocolate croissant, which was also delicious. Our four year old had a frosted gingerbread cookie and devoured it. Our family had a chocolate chunk cookie to share; while the flavor was awesome, it was a little crunchier than we prefer for that kind of cookie (if you like a crunchy chocolate chip, this would be perfect for you!). We also grabbed a loaf of brioche for us to add to meals throughout the week and it made delicious breakfast sandwiches and garlic bread. The staff was friendly and the line moved quickly. We can't wait to visit again!

Really good breakfast! Need to try their coffee soon. The workers are so nice too. The inside is cute. The pastries are unreal

INCREDIBLE pastries! We ordered 5 different types and lived the Anaheim pepper, tomatillo and goat cheese the most.
