Having told me on the phone that theyWould jet the drainfield I was surprised that he decided to leave the tank excavated with the lid off to supposedly save me money when I had to call them back because my system was failing. Being a senior citizen and a widow I felt I was being treated this way because I wouldn't know any different. I consulted some friends that have had a lot of issues with their Septic system. And they were shocked to hear they left it excavated and with all the rain. It was first of February. They advised me to call and have them come back and jet the drainfieldand then come then cover the system back up. It had been left open for approximately 2 1/2 weeks and surprise surprise after the drainfield was jetted the system was working fine, so now five months later it's running like a top and I'm surprised to see that I get a letter from the Pierce County health department that I was turned in for a violation reason Septic failure. The guy who told me all the stuff about it failing videoed it before it was jetted when it wasn't quite up to par. And of course he did not come with the guys He sent to do the job so he did not observe the fact that it was running fine. There's so many five star views on this company. I'm sorry to have to say this these things, but I am in the middle of trying to prove that I don't need $30,000 septic system at this time. I'm sure drain beast isn't gonna help me pay for it! very unethical considering I should've been notified in advance not get the letter five months later. From the Pierce County health department I believe this is the drain beast that's from the Puyallup area. It was Harmon I talked to on the phone. After running a camera, they identified a serious blockage. To clear it, they said it would require cutting a hole in the deck, digging down 9 feet over an 8-foot stretch, and quoted $12,500 just to clear the blockage. If the pipe was in bad condition, they recommended installing a sleeve--if salvageable--or potentially replacing the pipe entirely, which would cost significantly more. I decided to get four bids, and they varied widely, ranging from a few thousand to over $22,000. These estimates included clearing the blockage and, in some cases, adding a sleeve. Budget Sewer gave a fair initial quote that didn't include the sleeve, but once they opened things up, it was clear the sleeve was necessary. I ended up paying just over $14,600, and I believe it was a fair price for the work done. They started at 7:45 a.m. on a Tuesday and finished by 10 a.m. Thursday. They did an excellent job removing and reinstalling the deck--something none of the other bids included--and left the area clean and looking just as it did before they started. I would absolutely recommend Aiden and his team. They were punctual, hardworking, and very professional throughout the entire process.

I see further evidence of that walking around the neighborhood. However-- These guys obviously know what they are doing. The sod was neatly removed--and stacked--from where they dug the hole in my front lawn now the job has been completed you can barely tell the lawn was disturbed because they knew how to put it back in order. To access the cast iron exiting the house everyone (including Aiden when we walked the job) wanted to break through the walkway and patch. However once the crew started work they were able to excavate next to and then under the walkway, prop it up from underneath and did their work so you can't tell anything happened. At the end of each day they left the job site nicely organized--and as clean as holes in the ground can be. No shiny new trucks, no advertising, and not a plumbing company. These guys aren't flashy but are experts in their field.

I came across Approved Plumbing using a Google search after all the other plumbers I called one day couldn't come and help us. Adam came over quickly and fixed the issue immediately, and in the several instances after that. He was always super quick and helpful. Then, after the pattern emerged of the toilet being the issue, he researched different types for us to replace it with so we could avoid having to call him to unclog it. With his help and working with our landlord, the old toilet was replaced and we haven't needed to call a plumber for it since. After asking on Nextdoor neighborhood who they recommend, I searched for The Supple Plumber and found the page. I sent a message, and he got back with me. Since it was non emergency repair, we agreed to a day convenient for both. He had to order parts needed and came back a week after to repair the shower drain that had been slowly leaking for a couple or so years. I also had him replace the water spigot on the side of the house. I am happy with the services received for the drain and definitely recommend and would call on Tracy again for any issues concerning plumbing and water heater needs.

It wasn't bad advice in principle - it was a 100 year old concrete sewer and likely to fail eventually. It was a cash job and I trusted Ryan to do good work since I knew he was a licensed plumber. I rested easy thinking I had made a wise choice to proactively replace my old sewer. Well, fast forward 12 years to 2022 - I noticed a stench of sewer gas in the house. So, I ordered a sewer inspection to find out what was going on. It turned out there were a few problems. One, we were missing a cap on a pipe which is why we could smell the sewer gas in the house. However, there was also a much bigger problem. It turned out the sewer had failed in 2 places. I hired Phil from Brookside Excavating to repair it (and he was great - highly recommended!) Phil actually knows Ryan professionally and told me he does not have a high opinion of Ryan's work. He explained that Ryan had used: 1. The wrong pipe 2. The wrong fitting 3. The wrong glue ... and that this is why the joint had failed. I had to spend $8000 to redo a job I had already paid Ryan to do. I texted him to let him know, and sent him photos and videos illustrating the problems. His response? He asked me if I could produce a text or email proving that he had agreed to repair my sewer. When I told him I didn't have anything like that, he responded: "Don't try to blame me for your problems." WOW. So, I had to take out a loan for $8000 to re-do Ryan's work, which totally maxed out my credit, as a single working mom. But it didn't end there. One year later, I noticed ANOTHER stench of sewer gas coming up through my outside back drain. So, I ordered ANOTHER sewer inspection. It turns out Ryan's sewer job failed AGAIN, in a different location. Once again, Phil from Brookside came to my rescue and charged me an incredibly fair price because he felt sorry for me and understood the situation. I've posted a photo so you can see what Ryan did. The green sewer pipe that you can see at the right of the photo is what he was supposed to use. However, it looks like he just ran out of green sewer pipe, and figured he'd sub in the black ABS pipe instead. The photo shows the failed joint, and if you look closely you can see that where the two pipes are joined, the black pipe has slipped. So, Ryan's sloppy work = a big fat bill for me 12 years later. Do yourself a favor: Do NOT hire Ryan Hurd. Find an honest plumber who stands behind his (or her) work.

I called the number for 'Leak Masters' but they answered the phone as Beacon Plumbing. It turns out…read moreLeak Masters is a subsidiary of Beacon Plumbing. Documenting what followed to hopefully help the business owner. I already had a plumber who told me he couldn't help because he didn't know where the leak was without tearing the concrete of my garage up. Not ideal. So that's why I called Leak Masters, who theoretically specialize in this (e.g. with 'ground penetrating radar'). I was given a window of noon to 3 but ~3 I was called and politely asked if I could wait a while as the Tech was running late. No problem. At 5, I had to call back and make sure they were still coming. They confirmed. At 5:30 I got a call from the Tech to whom I explained 'I have a leak in a pipe somewhere under my garage, I need your help to pin point it' to which I was advised they do not do that and I should cancel the visit. (leaving me stuck with no running water yet another day) I called and got someone who sounded quite harried who put me on hold. I explained the situation and thanked them for their try, but I need a leak detection service, not a plumber. They said they'd cancel it. Then 5 minutes later, I got a call from the rep who called me ~3 saying I should let their guy come out and take a look anyways. I explained the situation again, that it wouldn't make any sense. I didn't need my garage torn up, I needed to know WHERE in the garage we needed to cut. Then the Tech called me saying the office told him to call. He pushed his services yet again and so I had to ask him 'What sense does it make to have a plumber come out when we don't know where to even dig? I already HAVE this information.' So, like many other online reviews (for Beacon Plumbing), it seems they're VERY aggressive on forcing sales and not focused on customer service. Very disappointing as I've had nothing but the best service through the entire renovations of this place for half of a year.

I have a 4-plex which has two meters. One meter includes two units (four tenants) and a laundry…read moreroom, and the other meter is just for two units (one tenant, and one vacant unit). I thought I had a hidden leak in the side with only one tenant because even though the other unit has been vacant for a couple of months, my bill showed the water usage was still three times higher than the other two, which has four tenants plus laundry room. Jeremy came on time, and very quickly figured out that I didn't have a leak. I was still puzzled as to why the side with only one tenant was using three times more water than the side with four tenants and a laundry room. Jeremy was willing to troubleshoot with me, and took a second look at the meters. He already knew which two units each meter belonged to, but this time I asked him to look at the meter readings and tell me which one was higher. From that information, I discovered the utility company had switched the meter readings for the two accounts. It turned out that the meter showing the larger amount of usage actually belonged to the two units with four tenants and the laundry room. That made sense. Problem solved. And the best part, I didn't have a leak. Thanks to Jeremy for being patient and willing to work with me to figure out the problem, even though it wasn't a plumbing issue.
