After some diligent effort using a drain snake followed by his high‑powered water flushing equipment, the clog was finally cleared. I used the Yelp app to start a project and submit a quote request. Their first communication included every thing they were going to do and included the estimate amount. Alex and Roman were able to come out a few hours later. The crew was clean and efficient and left us with us with a new water heater (see pictures) in our basement and took our old one away. The price was about 7% more than the average amounts I was quoted from other contractors.

This company performs inferior work for the following reasons:…read more1) He installed the AC Unit with damage (see photo) & when I brought it to his attention, he said, "That won't hurt anything. It's just cosmetic." 2) He burned the mounting pad while brazing the line set (see photo). 3) He did not flow nitrogen while brazing, which causes carbon flakes to form, which can contaminate the pump &/or dryer unit(s). I asked why he wasn't flowing nitrogen & he replied, "That's the way they used to do it & nobody does that anymore. THAT IS VERIFIABLY FALSE. 4) Upon reconnecting the plenum & newly-added ductwork, I checked for air leaks & I could feel air escaping from the furnace-plenum joint in two places. I brought it to his attention & he tried to stop the leak by slathering it with mastic, but I asked him to adjust the metal to close the visible gap, which he did after insisting on it. Contrarily, the price was good. Also, he & his helper were timely & polite. However, even if you save $ initially, it can be futile if your system isn't operating optimally or worse, if it fails prematurely...

His fee increased $50 over his estimate, that's understandable if it was a difficult job but this shouldn't have been. He also wanted me to pay for nineteen parts he had to get from Home Depot, he only used six of those parts. I messaged him to mention the valve was installed incorrectly. It's clearly labeled which direction the gas is supposed to flow. I asked if he would come back to fix it that day. He said it still works, so it's not an emergency, and he was to far away to come back that evening. I asked when he would come back to fix it, I haven't heard back from him.
