Update on second call! This time Brian came out, if you remember from the first post they had to descaled our Rinnai tankless water heater. According to Brian and many others, it's the best on the market. So, after the descaling we had low water pressure and we were still getting intermittent hot water and our unit was flashing a code 63. Code 63 means the water flow is low and a few things could be wrong. The number one issue was after descaling the line needed to be cleared from the little catch baskets. They did their part but more gunk from the descaling needed to clear the pipes. So, Brian turned the water off and pulled the little catch baskets again but only one had stuff in it and may have been the problem. But what really was the problem was our shower heads. Brian and Eric recommended we pull the pressure plug from the shower head. While Brian was here he gave great advice on codes for our Rinnai and the quality of water in our area. Our water pressure was much better but we were still getting intermittent hot water. So, following Eric, Brian and YouTunes advice and we pulled the pressure plugs from the shower heard. Now the water flows like the Snoquaimie Falls, hold smokes! But you know what, the water stays hot with no issues!!! So, if you're having this problem pull the shower head first plus and that should fix the problem. The cost for this was $0.00! read more

This company came to our home to replace the fixtures on the bathtub. After the left, maybe ten minutes later I turned the water on to clean the tub and enclosure. I went downstairs to a totally fluded kitchen. I immediately called them back, it had litterly be 20 minutes since they left. It was approximately 3:30 pm on a Friday. I spoke to a woman on the phone that told me they would return on Monday! I explained to her that was not okay. Shortly after I received a call from the owner, he diagnosed the problem over te phone. He explained how he knew exactly what the problem was, it had nothing to do with the work they had done and they couldn't come out Monday and repair it. He said the repair was 979.00 but he would discount it to 829.00 . We spent the weekend drying thing out with machinery. Our brand new millwork that was installed the day before was now wet and bubbling. I called them Monday morning and explained i didn't feel comfortable with them returning, the owner explained how we needed to give them a opportunity to fix the problem. We agreed to let them return, they explained to my husband that it was indeed the overflow valve and they needed to cut some holes in the sheet rock. We said no, they proceed to take photos of our home. Then tell my husband if he signs the paperwork they will refund the original 1300.00 dollars we paid. He declines there offer to proceed with repairs, and refuses to sign the paperwork. Later we have another plumbing company come out. It turns out is was not the overflow, but the drain that they had worked on. It was repaired properly. All purpose send me a refund and a email that said I had been put on their blacklist! No, it's not a joke. They did however refund our 1300.00 , with that being said they accepted no responsibility, no accountability nor did they offer no one cent of compensation. I sent photos to them of the repair and what was damaged and again got no response. I never recommend this company to anyone. Everyone makes mistakes, I am totally aware of that, but how you handle the mistake says a lot about you not only as a business owner, but as a person. read more

We had an issue with our tankless water heater where it needed to be vented properly. We got quotes from 2 other companies and All Purpose was the cheapest, quoting us around $870 where the other companies quoted $1500 and over $6000. Daniel showed up within the time window for the quote and worked fast, taking the time to answer any and all questions I had. When he showed up to work on the job, he was a bit late but did the job thoroughly and again took the time to walk me through everything he did, give some advice for future work, and answer all my questions. Buyer beware. Technician was unable to unable to clear the drain. I suggested to other access points. He said because of the toilet's age he couldn't remove it without replacing the toilet with one of theirs. He suggested for over $3000 they could put in a back flush access. The next day I lifted the toilet cleared the drain with a snake. The old toilet isn't leaking. Lastly, it took over two weeks for them to reverse the credit card charge. read more

We had a pipe break in our attic Sunday night on MLK weekend. Several companies before this one said they were booking a week out, or they "couldn't take a customer right now." All Purpose Plumbing got us scheduled for the next morning. Jacob came within the time stated, was respectful of our property, did a thorough inspection of the problem, and made sure we agreed to the quote before anything was done. He took multiple pictures for our insurance company also. All the equipment was on his truck - no waiting for a Home Depot run as we experienced with another company. HE COMPLETED THE JOB AND GOT OUR WATER BACK ON THIS VISIT. I have never been so happy to hear a toilet flush lol. Felt very safe with this professional in our home. He understood and was careful about our rescue cat who was shut in a separate area. The price was lower than another plumbing company's work yet he spent much more time with us. He gave us advice about knocking in a pipe when the water was back on, and explained it was a convenience issue rather than a necessary repair -- he could have charged us for more work that wasn't an emergency and we wouldn't have known the difference. Instead, he gave us contact info for when we could afford to have further work done. I'm retired and on Social Security so that made a huge difference to us. God bless you Jacob! While All Purpose Plumbing is a "Trusted" company that will show up on time, and usually always has plumbers available on short notice, I can tell you this last experience will 100% be the last time I call them for any repairs or work needed. I have no issues with paying for honest work and I understand everything that goes into what these plumbers do, but this company and their fees, feels like you're being Price Gouged. The plumber had to remove a 36 inch by 16 inch piece of drywall to see where exactly the leaking pipe was leaking from, I did not have any tools with me to cut open the piece of drywall, so the plumber said he could do it for a fee of $262.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't want to cause a scene or be dramatic about the outrageous price, so I agreed to the charge for the work, as the leak needed to be taken care of, and I'll just take the financial loss this time. What's more aggravating and annoying after paying an egregious fee to these money suckers, they will Spam your email (even after you Unsubscribe) like Bed Bath & Beyond with things like this "This is Steve Leal from All Purpose Plumbing. We're hoping you can help us out! Is there anyone else in your community that could benefit from our services, like you did? I called this place out because my tankless hot water heaters exhaust was plumbed incorrectly. I knew at the start this was one of those companies that was going to be expensive. I also got the impression that they assumed I was ignorant. Long story short, what should have been a sub 800 dollar repair netted me 2 quotes one for 8500 and one for almost 10k!! Called elsewhere and got it done for much less. I feel like this place will take you for all they can get, I would not call this place if you are elderly or don't know anything about plumbing at all. BE WARNED - I utilized All Purpose to flip my washer and dryer from my kitchen to my garage. They were a referral from another company that was doing the electrical part of the job. They did not perform half of the contract and when I called them to figure out what happened the manager said they wouldn't come back out without a new quote. They did not finish half of the job, left my garage and kitchen a mess as they did not clean up, refused to complete the vent to my washer and dryer (making it inoperable at the current moment and leaving us to find another company to come fix their work), and refused to reimburse any of the $2,100 they charged for this job. The electricians on the job stated: "I have never seen a company do that before in all of my years in the field..." Be extremely mindful of using this company. read more

Unfortunately when sharing concerns regarding pricing and overall experience the customer service continued to circle back to the the estimate. RIPOFF. The plumbers came out and did some research onsite to find the unknown leak in my water system. They misdiagnosed thinking the problem was due to underground pipes, and started digging... When they discovered the problem was elsewhere, they stopped digging (landscaping disturbed and plants now dying). Once the leak was found, they said they could not service it because it was inside an RV. Okay, but the company proceeded to keep the $1100 deposit I had paid upfront to do the underground, all-day job, which was their own misdiagnosis and which they stopped doing after less than 1 hour. I tried to negotiate with the owners, but sadly they were not cooperative...I am out $1,100 just to identify the problem, a total of 3 hours of work, and it's not even fixed! read more

We purchased a very old home a few months ago that unbeknownst to us needed a full repipe. We got several quotes from local plumbers. All Purpose was not only the most affordable but the only LICENSED plumber in the bunch. They fit us in quickly and the pair that came out were incredible! Overpriced useless I had all purpose plumbing come out to replace a flap in the toilet. They charged me over 320 I immediately noticed the next day the water kept running and the issue wasn't fixed.... took them several days to get out to fix it on the 2nd visit they mention I might need a new toilet because the rubber flap isn't the right size.... within a few week the toilet is broken again water is constantly running I called their answering service twice and was promised a call back... nothing then when I call back they tell me I need to pay more for a new toilet... if that was the issue why was I not told originally! On my first visit with them my goal was to get the toilet fixed and working and the solution i was told was to replace the rubber flap. I hired a professional to come actually fix the issue if I wanted a useless fix well I could have done that for free. So now I've gone over weeks without that toilet working and they want me to pay them over another 300 more just to fix the issue I originally called them for. I would like a refund or an actual solution but they denied my request and are only willing to fix the issue if I pay them more .... this is not at all what I would call upfront pricing... read more

I knew when I had my estimate that I wanted this company to do the work because they showed great expertise. Their level of professionalism was unmatched by any other plumbers who bid my work. The waterline replacement was trenchless. They barely left a mark where they worked. I was so happy to not have the yard dug up or anything that would damage my garden- Which would have been the case with the other estimates I got. All of their materials are top-notch (Pex-A) and not low-end. They are a family-owned business that took my concerns seriously and answered all my questions at all times. They were very respectful in my home- no shoes, were careful my cats didn't get out, inspected their work, and made sure to do everything to meet my expectations. I've had great experience with this company. They were honest and didn't sugar coat my issues. They gave long term solutions and would do the job correctly, not cheaply. I needed all new plumbing and they even gave me the names of other companies to compare prices with. Gene spent an hour explaining my options and the process. They even gave me a refund when I opted not to put in a shut off valve. I like that they are local and family operated. Excellent work and customer service. The owner personally answered my questions immediately before I signed on. Price was fair.I had the house repiped and the main line reconnected to the city line.They did it with a minimum of muss or fuss. Also great job repairing drywall and painting it--I provided the paint and they had the drywall. Brent, the lead on this job, was an excellent tech. He tweaked a couple areas as part of the job and was very careful to make sure my cat didn't escape. By this I mean always closed the door behind him.Also took his shoes off going up my carpeted stairs. This company has glowing reviews from folks in the North Slope because we have older homes with distinct problems. I waited a few weeks to write this review to make sure my water pressure and flow remained excellent and it has. I was showering with a thimbleful of hot water before the repiping. I had two technicians arrived at my home to fix a leak and unclogged my sink. They were there for two hours and were unable to unclog the sink. The technicians referred me to a company that charged a very high fee with no guarantees. My brother in law found out about this and rented a 25 feet snake and managed to unclog my sink in 30 minutes. I tried to call the owner three times to address this but received no call back. This indicated to me the company does not value their clients concerns or input. I will never recommend nor hire this company again. read more

Called this company out to look at a leak in my shower. Plumber immediately tried to "upsell" me into replacing the entire shower and hot water heater. He never bothered to even investigate the leak to see if it could be repaired. After he left, I decided to cut away the drywall and look myself. The slip nut on the drain had loosened. 20 cents worth of plumbers putty and retightening the nut it worked like a charm. Slimy and unethical. read more

I am extremely satisfied with All Purpose Plumbing. The plumber explained to us what went wrong with the water heater and he resolved the problem within 15 minutes. He waited an other 10 minutes to check the heater to make sure there was no more problem. He handle everything professionally and the price is very reasonable. I cannot make comments on this company service, but I can comment on scheduling and customer service. I was given their name by a realtor that I had used. I did research and felt comfortable calling this company. It's difficult for me to find time during work hours so I scheduled the appointment approximately 2 1/2 weeks out. I had no difficulty initially scheduling appointment but the company never followed through. After 2 1/2 weeks of being scheduled, they called the day before the appointment to reschedule for that same afternoon. This was fine with me as I had taken the day off work. I then cleaned out my closet in order to access the crawlspace when they called an hour before the appointment to reschedule a second time. At this point, I did not feel comfortable continuing with this company. I felt that they were going to be unreliable with follow through. I will be fInding a different company. read more

Very happy with the workmanship and customer service! We needed to have two bibb faucets replaced. Gary replaced the worst one (was also making noise in the kitchen) and capped off the one in the front so we can wait to get it fixed. With tax, it was just under $375.00 for the back one and he didn't charge us for capping off the front bibb faucet. We would recommend them at any time!!! read more

I called on a Saturday and equated and evening appt. and was told no problem. Appt. was over a week,during appt. set up I had requested I get an hour heads up before arrival due to having to picked my kids up early from school. Everything was set and when they called to confirm the appt. I was told that they could not honor the request to call an hour before arrival that they only could provide the window already given. Very poor customer service I would have had to take a half day of work to accommodate their schedule. This is a top notch company. I rarely take the time to write a review for a place and when I do it's usually because I've had a lot of experience with a company and really liked their service. We have an old home and have had to use All Purpose to repair several things in our home including a deteriorated sewer line so I have gotten to know them and their work quite well. They have an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. They seem to truly care about their customers and treated me like family. It was really important to me to find people I felt comfortable with and who would explain all work being done as well as be honest in their pricing. All Purpose Plumbing has exceeded my expectations. I was looking to repipe my house and got several proposals. I went with the cheaper one, not All Purpose, and got what I paid for. The second proposal didn't require a new water heater (my current water heater is 9 years old and never drained-should be done annually). They also had two young men to did up the pipe from the meter to my house. (All Purpose has a machine that doesn't involve digging.) Well, 3 1/2 months after the repipe job was finished, I had a sunken trench from the meter and a clogged kitchen faucet that stopped working (the faucet was new in July). I called All Purpose to install a new faucet that I bought at Costco. Steve came out and suggested trying to clean the rust out of the current faucet before installing a new one. He worked for a while and got the rust out of the new faucet and talked about the repiping. I decided I was penny wise and pound foolish (which seems to be the lesson I have trouble learning). I'm sure that Steve or Gene or someone from All Purpose will correct all my repiping issues from the other contractor. All Purpose Plumbing is my plumber of choice and I need to follow their recommendations. read more
