Brian responded to our call for help very quickly, came out the same day and gave us a very reasonable bid (unlike the few other companies we called which asked for large emergency fees before coming out and didn't even have time to come out immediately - 24 - 48 hours out for a main leak!). Brian found where the leak was coming from after digging for a few hours, patched the main line, and installed a new main shut off (previously a wrench was required to toggle the water to the house), all for much less than other companies quoted over the phone. The second and most recent time Brian came out was to assess and fix a downstairs can light leaking water. Brian responded quickly and came out the same day we called. He quickly found the upstairs toilet seal was no longer viable, resealed the toilet, and cleaned out the leaky can light, again for a very reasonable price. Two weeks and 3 calls later, they got the part, but charged us $532 where the part should have been under warranty. He said it was because he had to pay for the part that should have been free. If they had ordered the part to them in the first place that wouldn't have happened. I would have just gone with someone else, but the part had to be ordered by the company that ordered it apparently. They are having me send the payment to someone's home instead of an office. Clearly that's because they don't have one and why they didn't have the parts sent to them. Be wary!

Since it was the only restroom, when that happened, we would need assistance quickly. I came across Approved Plumbing using a Google search after all the other plumbers I called one day couldn't come and help us. Adam came over quickly and fixed the issue immediately, and in the several instances after that. He was always super quick and helpful. Then, after the pattern emerged of the toilet being the issue, he researched different types for us to replace it with so we could avoid having to call him to unclog it. With his help and working with our landlord, the old toilet was replaced and we haven't needed to call a plumber for it since. We'll make sure to keep calling Approved Plumbing for other plumbing needs as they arise, but it was wonderful to have someone who not only fixed the short term problem, but also worked with us on a long term solution that would ultimate save us money.

I told them I have never descaled it in 20 years. $250 labor per hour and about $8 for white vinegar. It has been about three weeks and now I had the same LC code---needs descaled. After watching the service technician descaled it, literally- 1. turn off water valve from supply to the tankless, 2. turn off the tankless valve to the house, 3. run the washer hose from the tankless to the bucket and open the tankless recirculation valve then 4. washer hose from pump to tankless and open tankless recirculation valve. 5. Turn on the recirculation pump. Of course with the solution... I decided I would do it from now on. So "I began researching". I love AI... #1 if it has been years since descaling, "Use a commercial grade descaller". NO they didn't. #2 Do not dilute white vinegar since it is only about 5% as effective as a commercial grade descaler. YES THEY DID a 50/50 mix with water- LOL #3 If it has been years, white vinegar will not work. AI was correct. #4 If you use white vinegar you need to use it straight undiluted and recirculate it for a minimum of 90 minutes. NO THEY DIDN'T - how about 30 minutes... For a Business that has been in business for decades, you'd think they knew all this...DO NOT FLUSH $260 dollars down the toilet with this company for descaling, I wouldn't hire them to do my coffee maker...

We have used Silverdale P&H since the house was built over 20 years ago. They did the original new…read moreconstruction plumbing which has never needed repair or replacement. Since then they have installed a water filtration system and new hot water tanks. Last week we had a recurring problem with a partial flush toilet. Dylan came out immediately and diagnosed the problem; not the toilet but the sewer line from the outside of the house to the septic system. This work was done originally by a septic contractor not SP&H. Over the years the exterior line had sunk creating a belly that trapped water. Dylan used a camera to show me the issue then using another piece of equipment he located the exact location underground. Today Dylan and John hand excavated the problem sewer line without damaging the shrubs planted above. They installed new pipe to proper grade, backfilled and restored the mulching. Top quality professional work! This folks is "VALUE" ! Low bidder doesn't necessarily mean best value. There's no better plumber in this area.
