I used Jafco Plumbing at the recommendation of someone else who had recently used them for a plumbing situation. I'm not sure I made the right decision, but unfortunately am committed now for my mistakes. My shower faucet was leaking and I thought it would be a fairly simple fix (replace the cartridge) and I was quoted about $400 (I believe). Since the plumber was already there, I agreed. He had to leave to get the part and then come back, and hours later, replaced the cartridge but still said he could hear water leaking from behind the wall. He asked my permission to open up the wall a bit to see what was going on. I gave him permission, and he opened up a tiny part, said that he was pretty sure the CPVC pipe/line was cracked and would need to be replaced, but he would need to open the wall up further to replace. I begrudgingly agreed (and agreed to the new quote of $1300 plus tax, which seemed high but better than having mold or other damage behind my wall). The plumber was at my place for over six hours, and yes, the leak was fixed but 1) my shower looks terrible now because he put an oversized plate on it to cover up his demo work (and oh, it doesn't fit so he added a piece of plastic to cover up the hole) and 2) the handle wasn't even put back on at the same angle so it just out in a weird way now when I turn it. The plumber also said he would follow up with me about getting a better looking plate installed and he never did. I don't remember his name, but he definitely makes me never want to work with Jafco again.

Access panel to replace the hose bib (added some insulation tapped on the exact model info).

Our outdoor spigot (15 years old) attached to our garage started leaking so we pinged a few places to get quotes late Wed evening. The Jafco team responded immediately, scheduled Garrett and Joey to come out the next day within a two-hour window. They arrived on time, talked me through the issue and fix (the hose bib and stem had to be replaced -- they'd need to cut a hole into the drywall to access it, would be covered with 8x8 access panel) in a straightforward understandable manner with no pressure to go with them. I received an emailed quote within 5 minutes of their departure. Their quote ended up being a little more than another quote we received, but they were able to come back the next morning to do the work so we went when Jafco. Garrett and Joey returned the next day (right on time) and completed the job in about an hour and spent time explaining what they did and best practices to prolong the life of the hose bib). Very professional and friend - we'd certainly use them again for future plumbing related issues.

After Jafco came, lowered the drain line, and installed my garbage disposal and P-trap.

Their staff (phone staff and on-site plumbers) are professional, communicate well and get the job done. I should call out though that you might be able to save a few $ if you went with an independent but that's kind of the case for most home repair/servicing companies. I've never used them for Electric and/or HVAC so I can't speak to that.

An AI voice answered the phone, asked me why I was calling, told me it was going to look up my account details, said it had a problem and that someone would contact me to follow up, and then hung up on me. A few hours later I got a text from "Cameron". I complained to "Cameron" about the experience I had from the AI phone answerer. "Cameron" apologize and told me that such an experience would frustrate him too...then "Cameron" decided to be transparent with me and tell me that he was in fact AI as well and "his" real name was "Carson". We went back and forth about 6 times to explain the problem I was having and to set up an appointment. Then "Cameron" told me that the time we worked out wasn't confirmed yet and that someone would be calling me to confirm the time. Thanks, "Cameron". This was Friday around 4:00PM. THE NEXT MORNING, a human being (I think) texted me from the same number to confirm the appointment. After I let them know how unhappy I was with the AI scheduling service, a human (I think) did call me and apologized for it. Then, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived an hour and a half after the 12:00-16:00 window we had set up. I had to call them at 16:30 to ask if the technician was coming and they told me he would be there soon. When he did arrive, in the middle of me making dinner for my family, he told me that the faucet would need to be replaced and that it would be $750 (!!) in labor to fix it. Then I was charged $83 for his time (which I guess would be rolled into the service). So, in the end I still had a leaky faucet and I was out $83 with the option to pay $670 to replace a faucet (plus the cost of the faucet itself). For that price, I'm just going to do it myself. Then the spam texts started coming from "Cameron" asking about the estimate. I got one every day until I told it to stop texting me. This company used to be great but I'm going to be looking around the next time I need a plumber. Please ditch this stupid AI system. Please don't charge your customers if you're extremely late for your own four hour window - especially if the diagnosis takes five minutes and is "I can't fix it - replace the faucet".

I started calling around to alternative septic companies and had a lot of trouble getting calls returned or a commitment to perform. I had worked down the list of septic designers in Kitsap County with no satisfaction until I hit the "N's". When I dialed Nuckels construction, there was no voice mail or stonewalling. Holly Nuckels answered the phone and immediately instilled confidence with a line of questioning and suggestions that demonstrated a profound understanding of septic technology and process. She promised to take on my project immediately and see everything through to completion. She and Brent were on site within a day and all my cares and worries evaporated! They cleared the existing failed field to a degree that held us through the permitting and construction arc. This was a complex, extensive replacement that including rehoming the entire drain field. Naturally I expected a lot of disruption to the landscaping, but was amazed at the care the crew took to try to preserve any established planting in the impacted area and to carefully remove all debris and level and tidy up the site in preparation for my landscape restoration. I simply cannot say enough about how grateful and impressed I am with the work this company did for me!

They are friendly, respectful, courteous, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and thorough, and they are solution-oriented problem-solvers. They are superheroes who saved us from a seemingly unsolvable nightmare, after so many others refused to help us at all. Whether your tank is a challenge or not, we highly recommend you reach out to Green Latrine. When we bought our home in 2000, we were assured that the septic tank had just been pumped because it was a required step before transferring ownership. The prior owners marked the location of the tank lids with metal stakes, and told us to make sure to remember where those were, for future servicing. We had never had a septic system before, but we learned that they should be pumped every few years. Over the last 25 years, we called MANY septic companies to arrange for service, but they all failed to ever come out -- some would cancel, some would not return calls, some agreed to get us on the schedule but instead would ghost us altogether. In December of 2025, after 25 years of being unable to get the tank pumped, our toilets and showers stopped draining, and we had to try again to persuade ANYONE to help us. No one would even come help us locate the tank lids. We called company after company, and this time we discovered that apparently our steep, rural easement road was too treacherous for any of them to attempt to drive up with a heavy waste-tank truck. We spent an entire month using a camping bucket toilet in our bathroom, and showering at friends' houses, because all our water use was backing up into the house, and we had lost all hope of ever getting our plumbing working again. Finally, one septic company, who said that their own truck was too big to navigate our easement road, recommended we call Green Latrine because, although they primarily handle portable construction and event toilets, they also do septic pumping and that their smaller-capacity trucks might be able to make the climb. The referring company warned us that with a completely overfull septic tank, a small truck might need to make two separate trips, and we should be prepared to pay full price for two separate service visits. When we called Green Latrine and explained the challenges to drive up our road, Paul Brown, the operations manager, said he thought his team might be right for the job. Doing something challenging and different could be a great change of pace, and he was pretty sure team member Matt White, their guru driver, would be thrilled to give our road a try. Matt can maneuver their trucks, even the larger ones, into the most complicated areas. Paul told us he would consult with his team to decide if they would tackle our road. When Paul called back, he said they could come on Saturday, only a couple of days later, and that Matt wanted to come along for the adventure even though it was his day off. They wanted to save us money, so instead of multiple visits, the plan was to bring both a large truck and a small one, and then empty the small tank into the larger truck that was left downhill, if a second round was needed. Despite Matt's best efforts, our road was, indeed, too difficult for the big truck, so Tim Brown skillfully navigated the small truck up the easement. Whenever we had plumbing issues in past homes, the plumbers would make comments about the waste, and express disgust, and we always felt embarrassed. Now we had 25+ years of waste, and a tank that was 20 years overdue for service, so we braced ourselves for negative judgement. But instead, these guys were cheerful and chipper, and interested in the opportunity to see how a long-standing accumulation is different from their more routine appointments. We asked a lot of questions about how the tank functions, and how their equipment worked, as well as general conversation. At the end of the day, our septic tank was empty, and our fears were remedied. We won't have waste backing up into the house anymore. And now we know who to call for the next periodic service. We are extremely grateful and impressed with Green Latrine, and their team's work ethic and willingness to tackle this challenge we had no way to solve.

Miguel showed up on time, and began pointing out a few issues with the exterior sewer line and some sketchy concrete cracks that could be causing the leak. After receiving their estimate, I hired them and got on their schedule. Both Miguel and Martine do not shy away from hard work! It was not an easy task but they worked methodically and got it done in a robust way. They discovered a sewer line that was completely blocked by clay and mud. Miguel and Martine also found a french drain in the basement that had been incorrectly installed by the previous homeowner. They pointed out that it was not allowing the water to drain into a sewer line which was causing additional problems. The french drain was removed and replaced with a couple of new sump pumps. They also scoped the sewer line. While inside the house, they protected their work space with painters plastic so as to prevent dust from traveling all over the house. At the end of each day, they lined up the buckets full of clay and dirt along a wall and kept their work area super clean. I was so impressed with these guys.
