Since we didn't have a leak, no one could figure out what the problem was. The very capable KPUD technician described the problem as a "puzzler." One plumbing company suggested we would have to replace our entire water main from the meter to our house costing upwards of $15,000. Then a contractor friend of ours recommended West Sound Plumbing saying he was highly confident they would solve the problem. And they did just that! After a morning of persistent investigation, the technician, Rodrigo, identified the issue as a failed underground pressure reducing valve that KPUD said should not exist. Today, he replaced the valve, and all is well - and for a reasonable price. West Sound Plumbing is responsive, professional, effective and reasonably priced. And, now, our plumber for life.

I gave the plumber 3 different issues to look at since he was here. Two were really simple; he fixed them then taught me how to repair if it happens again. The big issue was the water heater. He explained the problem & gave me a couple different options, with the cost of each and how long that would last, without upselling. I was getting really worried about the leak and reached out by email to Galantis Plumbing at about 7am. I received a phone call at 8am saying he had a cancelation this morning and was able to come out right away. He was also booked two weeks out, but his response time to my email allowed us to get the leak looked at a few days earlier. I later found out the owner is the one who arrived ay home to fix my plumbing issue, and was also the one who responded to my email. The plumber (I wish I remembered his name) was extremely prompt in getting from Poulsbo to my home in Suquamish. He was quick to identify the problem and was able to fix it the same day. For such great service, I was happy to only pay $300 to get my plumbing issue resolved. I will 100% be using this service again.

We called four different companies to get a quote for a replacement for our furnace and heat pump…read moreand finally decided to go with Washington Energy Services. We also Looked to see if their insurance and bond were up to date and if they had a lot of violations with the state. Their quote for the replacement came in at about the middle of all four quotes and the equipment was comparable. Everything checked out For WA Energy Services. Several of the other companies had quite a few violations and that didn't sit well with us. My husband made a spreadsheet and did a pretty good comparison of everyones' offerings to make sure we were getting a reasonable deal and that what was being offered would best fit our needs going forward. Our installers, Joel and Riley, were responsive and answered our questions and concerns. They did a clean, neat install and left the majority of the job site in great condition on their way out. We did find a few sheet metal screws in our driveway, and thankfully they didn't end up in our tires, but other than that, it all looked good. It's only been a bit less than a week. The electrical inspection has passed. we're still waiting on the County inspection, but hopefully that goes well, too. The system seems to be adequately cooling our home, the heat pump is much quieter and overall, we feel like Wa Energy Services did a good job for us and we would recommend them for the purchase and installation of a furnace and Heat pump system.

The Kimco Plumber that responded to our request for advice on a plumbing issue was condescending…read more He repeatedly corrected me when I explained that the "pressure" of water coming from our garden hose was decreased. He informed me that the static water pressure of the house was normal, which made it appear he misunderstood our issue. We thought the cause may be in the hose bib, since the handle would only rotate ¼ turn. None of our other hose bibs or our neighbor's hose bibs, homes built at the same time as ours, did this. He told me this is a newer design hose bib, and it was acting normally. On the phone, I said that if he checked the hose bib and it wasn't obstructed, the problem was in the hose reel or attachments, and we would take care of that. Friends of ours were in the home at the time. He told them he replaced the hose bib, though there was nothing wrong with the old one. He removed a wall heater inside the house to gain access to the pipe soldered to the hose bib. He said he was not an electrician, so the disconnected wall heater (now on the floor), would have to be reconnected by someone else. He left. We are not electricians either. He did not tag the wires to indicate how they should be reattached. A plumber should be able to communicate about a problem as perceived by the homeowner and help solve that problem. That didn't happen, and we were left with the additional issue of figuring out how to rewire a wall heater and remount it. This plumber ridiculed my layperson's explanation of the problem, and made no attempt to help solve the original issue, or explain it. The interpersonal skills of this plumber rates a 1 out of 5. We visited the office to lodge a complaint and were told we would be contacted by one of the owners. That hasn't happened. Avoid this company.
