Tom, with N. Lamar Service station
Gail W.

Tom was very professional and quick to fix my brother's Hyundai Veloster tire. We first went to Faris Tires right off of N. Lamar blvd., but he was closed on Memorial day. Tom was the only mechanic/tech was on duty. My brother had a flat tire and we were satisfied to find a station that could assist us. Tom worked vigorously to ensure the flat was patched and fixed before we left. He put the single tire on a special machine. It dismounted the tire without damaging the wheel. He patched the tire from the inside out. It cost us $16 for Tom to fix the busted tire. We went ahead and tipped him aswell. The service station is a gas station, but I'm unfamiliar with Shamrock fuel performance. If your ever in the area and need a tire repaired come here. Tom or any of the others techs will do an outstanding job.

Original receipt I was given. Without vehicle inspection report sheet.

Don't ever do business here unless you want to call the cops. I used to go there because the mechanics are great BUT the new owners are BIG pieces of s^*#!! I came in to get a basic registration inspection 5/4/16 and after completion I paid the $18.50 and was given a yellow receipt. I did not realize they were supposed to give me a white vehicle inspection report which they failed to do. I went to the Tax assessors the next morning to get my stickers and they notified me of the missing paperwork. Came back to North Lamar Service station and they would not provide me the report unless I paid them $30 for it. Saying I had lost it. I NEVER got it. EVER and they're trying to strong arm me into paying for something I've already paid for. I HAD TO CALL THE COPS Plead my case and show him my paid receipts to get the owner (Korean) to "mysteriously find my copy he never gave me" Luckily the technicians who worked on my car one Latino and one white were willing to help me and provide me the paperwork the owner failed to give me. Urge you to never go there and if you do make sure you get ALL your paperwork.

Other than that: service was decent and quick and they were fairly up front about the price. The Also, not a big deal, but they don't have a waiting area, so you have to sit out in the hot sun while the work was being finished (major downside in austin summer). Overall: Going here was a mistake. They've gotten good reviews in the past for being a solid budget used tire place, but something must have changed in recent years.. Not a terrible place, but nothing to write home about. If you want a great deal/experience -- i had great luck with Austin Tireman a few months back. Very up front about prices, honest, very affordable, good quality, excellent service, no bs experience, you will leave feeling good, and they have a waiting area. They've got my business in the future and all my friends/family. (i would've gone there instead, but they were closed that day)

Just silence...pure, uncomfortable silence. At first, I tried optimism. Then logic. Then the classic move of turning the key again like it might suddenly change its mind. It did not (like a child digging in their heels). At this point, I accepted that my car had entered its "I'm tired and I quit" era. Cue roadside assistance....Alpha Roadside Services and Battery. Thankfully, help arrived before I had time to spiral into Googling "How to survive permanently stranded in your driveway." The roadside assistance technician showed up calm, professional, and completely unfazed by my dramatic retelling of events. Within minutes, they diagnosed the issue, got things sorted out, and brought my car back to life like some kind of automotive wizard. What could have turned into a full‑blown inconvenience (or emotional breakdown) ended up being quick and painless. No lectures, no eye‑rolling...just efficient help and a running vehicle again. The car was not tired, but the battery was a bit weak. While roadside service was free through our insurance plan, we had to pay for battery, which was reasonably priced. Thanks to roadside assistance, my car is no longer staging protests, and I can once again go about my day pretending this never happened. Highly recommend Alpha Roadside Services and Battery... especially if your car enjoys surprise rebellion.

Unacceptable Experience -- Hidden Charges and Poor Customer Service…read more I would give Lamb's Tire & Automotive zero stars if that were an option. I purchased a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change advertised to include up to five quarts of oil, a standard oil filter, and other listed services. When I redeemed the voucher, Lamb's charged me an additional $30, describing it as a "price discrepancy." I reviewed the Groupon's terms, and I could not find any clearly disclosed price discrepancy fee that explained this additional charge. I understand that the fine print allows certain additional charges for items such as extra oil, specialty filters, applicable shop fees, and taxes. My issue is that Lamb's did not adequately explain what the extra $30 was for or show how it was justified under the advertised offer. Customers should not have to guess why they are being charged more than the price they agreed to pay. I disputed the charge through Groupon, hoping the issue could be resolved. Instead, I spent weeks going back and forth with customer support without receiving a satisfactory explanation or resolution. The merchant reportedly refused to issue a refund, and Groupon ultimately closed the case without addressing my underlying concern. The problem is not just the $30. It is the lack of transparency and accountability. When a business advertises a discounted service through a third-party platform, customers should be able to understand exactly what is included and why any additional charges apply. If there is a legitimate reason for an extra fee, it should be clearly explained and supported by the terms of the offer. This experience left me feeling misled and frustrated. What should have been a straightforward oil change turned into weeks of unnecessary effort trying to get an answer about an unexplained charge. I should not have to spend this much time pursuing basic pricing transparency. I would not recommend Lamb's Tire & Automotive based on this experience. I encourage anyone considering a Groupon at this location to confirm the total cost and ask for a written explanation of every potential additional fee before authorizing the service. Do not assume the advertised price will be the final price. A disappointing experience that has seriously undermined my trust in this business.

About a month ago, I visited Orange Tire to replace all four tires. At that time, I was very…read moresatisfied with the service and even left a 5-star review. However, my experience completely changed afterward. Today, I needed to replace my brake pads and attempted to remove the wheels myself. I was unable to loosen the lug nuts because they had been tightened extremely hard during my previous visit. While trying to remove them, I broke one of the wheel studs due to the excessive force required. I stopped immediately and went back to Orange Tire to address the issue. I explained that I had been there a month ago and that their team had overtightened the lug nuts to the point where I couldn't remove them. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff initially tried to blame rust. I can understand one stuck lug nut -- but not three out of five on a single wheel. That's not normal and clearly indicates improper torque. The manager spent about 15-20 minutes on the phone (possibly with the owner), and eventually told me that I would need to purchase new parts myself, bring them in, and they would replace them for free. I offered a simple and reasonable solution -- just reimburse the cost so I could handle the repair myself and not waste additional time. However, the owner responded in a dismissive and unfriendly manner, refusing any refund and insisting I follow their process. This situation shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. What started as a great experience turned into a very disappointing one. Be careful -- over-tightened lug nuts can cause serious damage and additional expenses.
