On Dec 25th Kathleen Miller, who was the manager on site at Norms restaurant in 20420 Avalon Blvd, Carson, CA 90746 at the moment was called because another party was seated in the table that was for us. The manager was extremely rude when approached with the issue. She then proceeded to seat us in another table, but continued to be very disrespectful to my mom and family I'm writing this review so other people don't go to that location and go through the same unconfortable, horrific experience. My mom reach out to the support number but nothing was done. Customers should not be treated in such manner. This is unacceptable. I do not recommend this location. read more

So our electricity went out on our whole block on Thanksgiving so we decided to just go have Thanksgiving dinner at Norms. Food was great but the service was slow so we decided to take our pumpkin pies to go. So they packed them for us and I didn't check them until I got home and well we got 2 slices of burnt pumpkin pie! Super disappointing so I threw them in the trash!! At least the Thanksgiving dinner was good enough to offset the burnt pies! read more

Wow...finally a New NORMS! And it's a beautiful new store too! Will come here each time I take in my Kia Niro for service @ Kia of Carson (they have a free shuttle too)! Delicious food (as always), best value, clean beautiful new store and best of all the helpful, happy and friendly staff! Heard a new store coming to Inglewood too (GO Rams). ...now all we need is a new location on the West LA area (both stores closed over the past 2 years) This NORMS guy is one happy guy! read more

Let me tell you about Jessie & her crew. They came through were no one else did on Memorial Day. I ordered on line the night before 35 breakfasts for my crew along with delivery. The orders came in correct. The food was warm. All my guys were very thankful. That morning I ordered on line (again) dinner for my 2nd shift crew of 15 guys. Just had lunch a couple hours ago here we come alot usually everything is smooth but today when we left my nephew forgot his apple airpods on the table and coinsidently after we left our waiter left also and the last known location was at norms 15 minutes after we left i know the waiter must have saw them so i called norms spoke to marco and said that i should come down and search his employees instead of being more helpful and understanding hes making the situation worst with remarks like those with that said if you forget anything dont expect it back. What a doodoo trash norms. Took 10 minutes to get seated 30 minutes for the food to come out COLD and somehow also BURNT ???!??? LIKE how does that happen. I watched the food on their window sit there as they passed it and got other people's order. The chef had to stack our plates on top of each other . Waiter completely forgot to input my friends order . Other friends food was cold My fettuccine was like slimy gloppy gloop THEN lol the manager decided to resolve the issue by giving me 20% off of ONE entree which was 2$. 2$ for my time wasted , cold food, long wait times , and ATTITUDE . I wasn't too thrilled with my visit. Service: OK. The waiter was polite. It just took forever to get our food. Not sure if they were under staffed that evening. Food: Not good! I ordered a porterhouse steak and it just didn't taste right. It wasn't seasoned and tasted like it had just been pulled out of a freezer. Kids had the nuggets and they refused to eat them. I love going to Norms in Carson after church it's because they have the best waiter there and his name is Richard he is so personal,nice,and very professional..Even on his busiest he will stop and acknowledge each of his tables he is curious and worth the wait and once you are at his table you feel like family he does not rush you to finish and leave because he wants you to come back...If you get a chance to go to Norms in Carson ask for Richard he's the best... p&p.. read more

I just had breakfast with the family, hostess who was on her 1st day of work did an amazing job and all was fantastic until we were seated. Server assigned to our section table 61 never came!! Jose another server took the initiative to assist with drinks first, after 15min Jose noticed that people who had came after us that were also seated next to us had appetizers served already. Jose once's again showed his professionalism and initiative of an experience server and took our order. Went here to try there summer rib specials. The place is brand new, very clean and inviting. The service was a little slow, but they were understaffed and again, very new. The food was actually really good. Had the rib combo with chicken strips and shrimp. It came with a salad and soup, both were very basic but solid. The meal was very tasty, and at 15 bucks, a super solid deal. Usually can't go wrong with Norms for cheap and tasty, and this location followed suite. read more

Finally tried this newer Norms location and a bit disappointed. The large crowd gathered all over the front is overwhelming. Staff is not the friendliest. Location is way to new for it to not well maintained. I ordered my food and it was delivered within 3 minutes wth!! Is this pre-made ?? As I get my creamers, I noticed the cup where they provide the creamers was dirty and if they picked them up from table next to me ... My seat was dirty that and what topped it off some insect/pest - 4-6 leg looking creature was on my seat. Extremely disappointing. Please DO NOT attempt the ALL you can eat deal (shrimp, wings or ribs) you get three miserable breaded shrimp and the wings are actually two chicken tenders NOT wings. Ooh and may I add ....when you ask for additional serving (since it's all you can eat) it takes forever and they only bring your three more pieces of what you've ordered, waste of dish. By the time they replace your food your other guest are done with their food you you're holding up everybody else. Sheeeesh... The server was attentive and pleasant but he did notice our displeasure with the food but did not bother to offer any consolation. I don't blame him this outside of his control. But do think that he should have done something. I do NOT recommend this Norms your are just better off going across the street to McDonald. read more

I was very excited when they built the new restaurant here in Carson because we would usually drive to the one in Torrance which is kind of far. We always received excellent service in Torrance so I expected it here, too. My friends and I came to this location on New Year's Day for brunch. We had to wait approximately 45 minutes for our table. We then waited another 20 minutes before we were served drinks. About 10 minutes later a busser comes to our table and completely busses our table with us sitting there and took our fresh drinks that we had just received a few minutes earlier. Upon receiving our food, some of our entrees were cold. We asked for it to be reheated. Instead the manager came over to our table. We told the manager about the food and how our table was bussed. The manager apologized and gave us half off for the one meal that was returned, never mind that the meal was never brought back to us. read more

Best norms Ever!!!!!!! The best staff, the best food, and the best management. Everything we ordered taste great, except for the garlic fries.(tad heavy on the garlic). But our waitress swapped them out food regular fries without a problem. The whole place was clean, even the bathrooms!! Chicken tenders were amazing, seasoned and hot. Whenever I come here I get the Lumberjack breakfast because that isn't hard to mess up, but they did. I asked for everything well done and the inside of my sausage was pink, it literally made me gag. If I happen to crave it one day, I may go back because it is not completely terrible, but it just isn't my first option. read more

I have been here a few times and have not had a bad experience yet. The menu has a wide range of selections, service is great, and each dish I have had was good. I am very particular about my ranch dressing and theirs is awesome! I see a lot of people complaining about 3% surchage that is added on every bill, this common at various restaurants in LA. If the $2 mean that much to you, I believe you can have it removed from the bill. I love the salad and gumbo I get for free before my food arrives to the table. read more
