Take out is horrible ordered at 11am was to be ready for pick up at 12pm, I didn't get my order till 1240pm. While I'm waiting the only update I get is 5 more minutes. So mad anywhere else would of been way faster and better than here. If this is take out imagine dining in. Not going back, rather have Denny's they are always on time. To add insult to injury I added strawberries to my waffle order they charge almost 3$ and I still didn't get any! read more

Food not hot. Waitress working hard but overtaxed. Need more staff. Not able to give tables attention they need. We felt a little neglected and should have gotten a discount. Food arrived at less than optimal temperature. Will avoid from now on. read more

The place maybe new, but the service is really slow, I have to wave someone for help , my food was on the cold side and over cooked , waiting for a water for over an hour , asked for water 3 times . Our server was also rude af , maybe because she's older she can't keep up with the demand . Please get better food quality and more servers . read more

I'm giving this Norms a 1 star because of how terrible the service is. The Hostess here are garbage, they don't care who gets in line they'll just call whoever puts their name down on the clipboard first. It's BS. I feel like Larry David on that one episode of Curb your enthusiasm. Anyways, this norms is pretty ghetto and i probably won't return. The waiter Richard However is cool asf. He really made up for terrible service. I feel bad for rating this place so low when they have an awesome dude like him working here. read more

It's 9pm and they are not letting people dine in because they close at 11pm? Not only that but we paid for a side of strawberries and a side of sausages that we did not receive. I also asked for a cup of warm milk and paid almost $5 that took the guy 15 + minutes to get me. He made him self a milk shake before he was able to get me a cup of warm milk. SMH and it wasn't like they where busy. read more

The food we did receive from my online order was great. However, they forgot 3 items. When I called the restaurant, I spoke with Jesus and he sounded as if he didn't really care 3 items were missing. I asked for a refund and he said I needed to drive all the way back to the restaurant to receive any sort of compensation. Not great customer service. Will be staying away from here for the time being. read more

poor service. took 30 min give or take to even come greet us & take our order, after being seated. the environment was not busy at all. our orders were brought out wrong multiple multiple times & our coffee was cold. no refills were offered (unlike other norms where our waiters come by every so often) dirty dishes were stacking up on our table due to the lack of service. pancakes felt reheated, not freshly made. traveled to this location because of good reputation but left disgusted. :( read more

Several NORMS locations went downhill during the pandemic and have not restored their earlier quality. This NORMS in Carson seemed pretty good on July 6. Keep it up. read more

Tried to call to place an order for pick up - several times - a few minutes ago, voicemail full and no answer. Unprofessional. Won't try Norm's again. Called another restaurant just now. They answered on the first ring and I was able to place an order with no issue. Do better. read more

Ok. By far one of the worst ones. It's only 3. You have nothing but 4 tables. You have one male bald server who instead of seating us after greeting us walks away and doesn't bother to sit us. We waited 5 min and walked away. The same server just stares from afar as we walk away. Clearly the staff doesn't care about the guests or the business. read more

My family has visited this location 3 times, my wife and kids like the food. This is the 3rd time we have received horrible service from a cashier and/or server. Now I am starting to believe it solely based on our AA race. First incident - we were removed for the wait list without being called. Only after asking how much longer did the cashier tell us we didnt answer when she (Hispanic) called our name (we sat inside and she never called). Second incident - the male Hispanic server skipped right by us and helped a Hispanic family that were seated 5 minutes after us. After inquiring who was our server, he said he would be back shortly which was 10 minutes. Third incident - Amilcar took our names for the wait list. After 10 minutes, he called a party of 3 (Hispanic) that was on the list under us. He then called another party of 3 (Asian) that were 2 spots below us. After asking him why we were skipped, he informed us our table was ready but he was seating the other parties first. I asked to speak with a manager, he informed us there was no manager/supervisor on-site. A server provided me a number to contact Yessica - not explaining who this person was. 3 strikes and yours out, I can tell when we a not wanted. Note: we received great service from Secret (server) on the 1st and 3rd visit.....food was great also read more

Been craving for a cool minute jus to end up disappointed. How in the name of all that is good in this world, do u screw up pancakes? They didnt taste like buttermilk at TF ALL!!! More like the cooked used more water than batter! Str8 up stuggle pancakes! N a waste of hot maple syrup! I just left there n had the sorriest experience ever!! They had the AC on full blast n placed me right under it. I was literally freezing n told my server to turn it down a bit. Yall, it got to a comfortable temperature when I was heading out the door. It was also blatantly they put ppl of the race in their section. My server was awesome tho. She cld tell I wasn't happy with the screwed up pancakes n gave me %15 off my bill. To be honest, I wished she removed em but I digress. Cold part too, is that the place wasn't crowded. Jus dayum!! Get it TF together Norm's!! read more

This is a nice location, breakfast was great! Our server, Brenda, was the best. Knowledgeable, attentive and helpful

The food was good but the service was piss poor. It wasn't packed but it took a while for our food to come out. As soon as we were served, our server left to go to break without notifying us. My biggest pet peeve is having to ask for a refill for a cup of water. I tried to get multiple host attention and no one paid me any attention but they made sure to huddle up at the register. Asked to speak to a manager twice and never got to speak to them. They just kept saying sorry. Definitely never going to this norms again. read more

This place sucked! It took 30 minutes for my food to come when there were only 3 customers. The hash browns were burnt my ribs had no meat and the sandwich was disgusting! never come to this place read more

The gobble gobble dish I order all the time...because you get turkey patty, links, turkey bacon...especially if you aren't a pork eater.

Modern, renovated location. Looks nice. Came in at midnight so not busy at all. Ordered the Lumberjack breakfast for $13 and I've never been so disappointed to come into a restaurant that looks that good, only to receive the worst breakfast. Server was barely there, only to take our orders, and give receipt. Waited 25 minutes for our food. First, I ordered over-medium eggs, I got undercooked scrambled eggs. Second, the hashbrown was the worst hashbrown I've ever been given. Under seasoned and under cooked. So incredibly bland and lukewarm. Third, bacon was overcooked. Pancakes were given half off the plate... literally. The only thing that wasn't bad was surprisingly the sausage and the water I guess. Definitely not a place I'd come back to. read more

I come here at least once a month. The food is consistent with other norms. I have never had an issue here. The servers are always friendly and prompt. I would recommend this location. read more

Ok, so here's the deal. We are regulars at Norm's and have been for quite sometime. Are they a fancy restaurant? Absolutely not. Do they claim to be fancy? Absolutely not. Are their meals worth the money? ABSOLUTELY!!! On today's visit, I had the Grilled Chicken Fiesta Salad. This salad was HUGE and could easily feed 2 people. It was outstanding, and the presentation was awesome. The ingredients were fresh and the taste was delicious. My husband had the Club Sandwich, and this was also great with lots of goodies piled into the sandwich. One if the main reasons to visit Norm's in Carson is their server, Richard. This man is one of a kind, for sure. He is always, and I do mean ALWAYS courteous, professional and he remembers the customer, their likes and also their preferences. Richard truly shines and he makes the customer feel as though they matter. To the cooks at Norm's - you are awesome. Please keep up the good work. To the servers at Norm's - Remember that you are there to serve the customer, so treat your job with pride. If this isn't what you want to do, then perhaps being a server is not the job for you. And to Richard, THANK YOU for making a difference and for now being in a position to train the Norm's staff to do the same. Every success to you now and always. Please give this place a visit - it will not disappoint! read more

So our electricity went out on our whole block on Thanksgiving so we decided to just go have Thanksgiving dinner at Norms. Food was great but the service was slow so we decided to take our pumpkin pies to go. So they packed them for us and I didn't check them until I got home and well we got 2 slices of burnt pumpkin pie! Super disappointing so I threw them in the trash!! At least the Thanksgiving dinner was good enough to offset the burnt pies! read more

After waiting for more than an hour ( as expected because it was Dec 25) Kathleen Miller, who was the manager on site at the moment was called because another party was seated in the table that was for us. When she talked to my husband she was not apologetic at all, she said she have called our name out loud and that we didn't respond but nobody called out our name , they asked the other party directly if that was their name on the paper, they said yes and were seated in our place. The manager was extremely rude when approached with the issue. She then proceeded to seat us in another table, and that's when I told her " You know, an apology goes a long way" she got close to my face and very loud said " first of all!!! merry Christmas !!" After that when we told her her attitude wasn't acceptable she continued to say " She had been a manager for 30+ years, that she wasn't going to apologize and she didn't have to take this" there is a lot more to this conversation which was witnessed by many on staff and many customers because it got very loud. When I asked her for her name she sarcastically said she will even write it down for me. I told her to please stop talking to me in that tone, she laughed and ignored me. She sent a paper with her name, last name and added the phone number of support center. The added information, shows me that she is used to treat people that way and is not afraid of consequences. This person should not be in a management position, managers are supposed to de escalate a situation not escalate it to this level. Nicole and Suzane ( i believethat was their names) , who was one of our servers apologized for something she didn't do and made sure to make us feel welcome. She acted like a real manager should and tried to make it right for us eventhough she wasn't at fault at all. That's the kind of people that should be in the management positions not Kathleen Miller. I do expect something to be done about this, I'll be reaching out to Norms executives to let them know what kind of managements they have in this location that is harming their business. Customers should not be treated in such manner. This is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place , this is not the first bad experience I have at this particular location. read more

We hadn't visited Norm's in YEARS, so off we went when there was one in the town we were visiting! I must say, the quality and flavor of the food we got (I got a Club Sandwich with ham and turkey), was def well-above average. Little things like "I'd like the bread lightly toasted" and "may I have a side of extra mayo?" Were perfectly accommodated, and was NOT charged extra for the extra mayo (I've been to several restaurants where they DO charge extra.). The coffee was moderately strong, just how I like it. Sooooo...whenever I'm back in that town again, be assured we will return to this Norm's!...oh, and it was exceptionally clean, and appeared to have been remodeled not too long ago. Nice! read more

What a doodoo trash norms. Took 10 minutes to get seated 30 minutes for the food to come out COLD and somehow also BURNT ???!??? LIKE how does that happen. I watched the food on their window sit there as they passed it and got other people's order. The chef had to stack our plates on top of each other . Waiter completely forgot to input my friends order . Other friends food was cold My fettuccine was like slimy gloppy gloop THEN lol the manager decided to resolve the issue by giving me 20% off of ONE entree which was 2$. 2$ for my time wasted , cold food, long wait times , and ATTITUDE . Allie I think the manager name was was condescending.... calling corporate for sure read more

I wasn't too thrilled with my visit. Service: OK. The waiter was polite. It just took forever to get our food. Not sure if they were under staffed that evening. Food: Not good! I ordered a porterhouse steak and it just didn't taste right. It wasn't seasoned and tasted like it had just been pulled out of a freezer. Kids had the nuggets and they refused to eat them. Girl friend had the split pea soup and it didn't taste fresh. This Norms location needs to step up its game! read more

Let me tell you about Jessie & her crew. They came through were no one else did on Memorial Day. I ordered on line the night before 35 breakfasts for my crew along with delivery.
