I went to the restroom and I heard Lucia in a voice from the register tell me to code to the restroom door. The food was great. Decided to get a super late night meal (3AM) at norms with a friend, and we were lucky that this Norms was open 24/7. We were greeted nicely and seated very quickly. Our server, Juliet, was extremely sweet to us, helping us decide what to order and even giving us suggestions on what to eat and add into our dishes as well. I got the patty melt with grilled onions (her recommendation) and it definitely made the whole sandwich better. The patty felt a little overcooked and I'm not a fan of the bread but it was no big deal. Juliet made this experience so fun and worth it! Their was crumbs and debris on one side of the booth. The half and half bowl had one that was already used, and there was someone's medication bottle left on the table. It seemed like whoever was clearing/cleaning the table didn't finish the job. We ordered the New York Steak with NO shrimp and was given the New York steak & Shrimp. We ordered the Jr Cakes combo and asked for the Chocolate chip pancake but the server didn't tell there was an uncharged. She just said yes it was possible but never told us about the uncharged. Was also ordered the Ham and Eggs promo and she asked if we wanted hash browns, thinking it came it with the meal we said yes and again the server failed to let us know about the upcharge. So our Jr Cakes combo went from $6.99 to being $10.68 and that doesn't comes with a drink. The upcharge for the hash browns was $1.99. Norms is one of those reliable spots that you can always count on, especially when it is past midnight and your options are slim. My wife and I came in for a late night bite and ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with pancakes and hash browns. The chicken fried steak was absolutely the star of the show. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and smothered in gravy that brought everything together. It was the kind of dish that makes you think about it long after the meal, and honestly I would come back just for that. The eggs were fine and cooked as ordered, and the pancakes were hearty and filling -- the kind that stick with you in a good way. The only real letdown was the hash browns. We asked for them extra crispy, but they came out soft with little crunch, which was disappointing since crispy hash browns can really complete a plate like this. What really stood out besides the chicken fried steak was the service. The servers were friendly, quick to refill, and checked in often without ever feeling overbearing. The manager was also actively walking the floor, talking with guests, and even helping bring things out or grab extras for tables. That level of care gave the place a warm, welcoming energy that made up for the small food hiccup. Norms may not be gourmet dining, but that is not why people come here. It is comfort food, open late, served by people who genuinely care about the guests. For that reason it earns a solid four stars in my book. For the coffee did not have (Vanilla) creamer, individual ones that are placed onto table. Instead brought to table (white liquid) poured into a dipping sauce container. Upon asking waiter what this is, tells me it's the (Vanilla) creamer but they don't have the individual ones that are usually placed on table. A few weeks back my wife and I drove by a Norm's Restaurant and decided it was finally time to give this place a shot. This place looks like a retro style diner from the outside and doesn't feel much different on the inside. We were seated as soon as we walked in and the service was super friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I was a hungry young man when I looked at the menu, so I settled on ordering an appetizer and an entree so I could bring some home with me as well. On the side, I ordered some Buffalo wings that really hit the spot. The wings were super saucy, meaty, and had great flavour. And as a main course, I picked from the breakfast menu and ordered the BBB breakfast sandwich with a side of french fries. The sandwich itself had two fried eggs, bacon, sausage, and some american cheese on a brioche bun. As someone who's never been the biggest breakfast person, this sandwich was an absolute banger and the same can be said for the french fries it came with. Overall, Norm's Restaurant is a fantastic place that gets two thumbs up from me. Everything I ate tasted great, the service was great, and the place itself was cool as well. My friend and I visited Norm's on Cinco de Mayo, looking to enjoy some good Mexican dishes, and we weren't disappointed! Because we wanted something different to drink, we decided on Mugs root beer floats for each of us, and Jose our server delivered them promptly and with panache. They were delicious and refreshing and as we devoured them, Jose and Juan, who bussed our table, kept the refills coming. We each started with the red Chile steak burrito, something we hadn't tried before, and for extra heat added two large jalapeno peppers, which Jose produced in record time. We completed the meal with one of the shareable chipotle bacon chicken quesadillas, which we divvied up between us. Ahh good ol' Norms. For me, it goes way back to my late night partying days, stumbling in with my buddies at 3am to get our grub on. My favorite order at the time was the Santa Fe Turkey Wrap with garlic fries -- both of which are unfortunately discontinued :( However, over the last few weeks I started coming in for lunch just on a whim. Even on weekday lunches the crowd seems pretty consistent and I can see why. Service is friendly and pretty quick. IMO, the dinners are the best value because they also include soup and salad (gumbo and Caesar are my go-to). I don't think you can get that anywhere else for around $16! That being said, everything is competitively priced with generous portions. It's just a nostalgic, cozy vibe and I'm glad that they're still chugging along! read more

Then one of the men who cleans the tables comes out and asked if I been helped I said no then he walks towards the restroom knocks on the door and out comes the lady who takes your order at the front yay I said I ordered online she couldn't find anything then looks at receipts and says ok it will be 15 mins . OMG I ordered an hour ago and stood there for ten mins . Seems like they rushed it after that hassle and I got burnt hotcakes yeah all that hassle for two sets of hotcakes four dang pancakes one hour and 20 mins for four burnt pancakes . The top it all off I told him about all the times I've been there early in the morning in the winter when it was cold as heck and their heater wasn't working everybody in that restaurant that morning, which was only like 456 people were freezing eating cold food . Believe when I say this, the Anaheim NORMS on Euclid Avenue sucks it should be torn down or rebuilt or re-managed but nobody there cares about anything or anyone. read more

Came here with my friend for a quick dinner. Had their triple combo which was supposed to be a small steak, chicken wings and mash potatoes. They didn't have any wings, so they gave me chicken tenders and a baked potato instead of mashed potatoes. My friend ordered a baked potato and they gave her french fries instead. I forgot what else they mixed up. I let her have the baked potato that they gave me while I waited for some mash potatoes. Not sure what kind of BBQ sauce they use but it was terrible and they had it smothered on the chicken tenders instead of on the side. Needless to say, I didn't eat them. Went back a year later, that hostess nor that manager were there from my previous rating. Everyone else was VERY nice and pleasant. We had Francisco (Frankie) again and he did NOT disappoint. He was fast, continuously checked on us and even continued to refill our drinks. His area was so busy, but he had a great memory on orders and drinks. Had to wait to be seated as there was one waitress and one waiter or whatever he was doing. 2 guys come in after being seated and one of the guys hands his dirty jacket to the waitress and she puts it behind the counter. Then the guy pulls out his charger and starts charging his phone using an outlet by the front door. I ordered the sampler and there was no cheese in the cheessticks (hollow), onion rings were burnt and broken in pieces. On January 17, 2026, at 8:17 PM I came in today for dinner to celebrate my father's birthday with my family. We were a large party of 18 people (11 adults and 7 kids). Overall, the service and food were good. A few small mistakes happened, which were understandable given the size of the party (my father received a slightly different steak order, and we had to remind the server about a basket of fries), but none of that was a big deal, and we still enjoyed the meal. What completely ruined the experience was what happened at the end when it was time to pay. I went to the cashier to pay the bill, which totaled $316.49. Lizbeidy, the cashier, was present and witnessed the entire interaction. Our server, Anik, followed me to the register. I added $10 on the card because my family and I had already agreed the rest of the tip would be given in cash. Before I even had the chance to hand him the cash tip, Anik made a comment jumping to conclusions, saying something along the lines of, "Wow, a $300 check and only a $10 tip," and walked away. It made me feel bad and uncomfortable, especially during a family birthday celebration, as we were still planning to sing Happy Birthday and felt rushed to pay. Immediately after, I gave him the $35 cash tip my family had prepared. That comment changed the tone of what was otherwise a good birthday dinner. Making assumptions about tips especially before the transaction is complete and in front of others is unprofessional.
