And the 2 for $25 deal, got two side salads and a burger with fries and the fiesta chicken! It was my and my family's first time having Applebees. Everything was delicious we were very impressed by the flavor of the food and also by how fresh the salads were! Ordering was easy because I was given help and explanations on what things were so I appreciate that a lot! While waiting for my pick up it looked very busy and the staff was cleaning up a lot as they were going and making sure to check on everyone. It was busier than I'm used to for night time outings but I'm glad they offer togo! Otherwise it was very clean, I did not see how the bathrooms were. I came into this Applebee's in Anaheim for a quick lunch expecting to be in and out within about 30 minutes, but unfortunately the experience took much longer than expected. Service was very slow from the beginning. Other diners who arrived after me had their orders taken before I did, even though I was already ready to order. I also asked for water and it was forgotten completely. When my food finally arrived, it wasn't prepared correctly. I ordered the Spicy Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich with no tomatoes or lettuce, but it still came out with both on the sandwich. I understand some people may just remove the items and continue eating, but the order should still be prepared correctly the first time, especially after clearly communicating it to the waitress. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and inattentive. Customers should be acknowledged in the order they arrive, basic requests like water shouldn't be forgotten, and food orders should be checked for accuracy before being brought out. Me and my wife both were pleased this time visiting Applebees after not eating here for some time after a bad dinner 9 months ago. Tonight we were happy with our food portions and the service was very prompt and polite. We both had the 2 for 25.00 Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp and dinner salads. The chicken were actually whole breast pieces this time but the sautéed onions and mushrooms were skimped a bit i think we both got 3 slices of mushroom and a spoonful of onion. Haven't been to Applebees before and the experience I had going for the first time was pretty decent! Me and my friend got the two entrees and app for $25 and it was a great amount of food. We both coincidently ordered the melted cheese burger which was delicious but the hot queso was a little too melted in but either way was still pretty bomb. The spinach artichoke dip was good too! My friend had a gift card, so we decided to go to Applebee's for the first time. Their menu has a lot of options. Plain classic American food, no complaints! I was going to get the 6 oz sirloin steak with two sides, but I decided to order off the 2 for $25 menu. You get a choice of one appetizer and two entrees. You can upgrade to other items for $2.50- $6.00 depending on the item. I got the cheeseburger. My friend did as well. It was sooooo good but obviously very heavy. I ate half and took home the rest. The patty could have used a little more seasoning. Some more salt to say the least. The fries were pretty good! Service was not great. She did not come back to check on us, we had to find her. She also did not refill our water. She seemed busy with other tables, but we did feel very annoyed waiting for her to come by to help us. Food also took a long time to come out. Lol. This was my first time visiting this Applebee's location, and overall it was a very good experience. The seating was great -- we were the only ones in our section, which made it feel comfortable and relaxed. The food was very tasty, and everything came out hot and fresh. Our server was wonderful (I unfortunately don't remember her name). She was very attentive and friendly throughout our visit. There were just a couple small things I wanted to mention. When she brought out small plates so we could share our appetizer, the plates were dirty. I stopped a staff member who was passing by, showed him the issue, and he apologized and immediately brought us clean ones, which I appreciated. Also, I would have liked just a little more time between the appetizer and our entrée. The entrée came out shortly after we had started the appetizer -- it would've been nice to at least get a few bites in before the main course arrived. Geez! Never been to a more disappointing Applebee's location EVER. My husband and I came in on a Sunday afternoon, it's typically chill and slow during those hours, and not a d*mn server to attend to us for a hot minute.. Apparently we weren't the only ones who felt the same way, nearby customers were uttering negative comments about service as well. Definitely neglected and hungry on our end, not a great combo. Hence, this review. Short staffed or not, they should make it a priority to evaluate the flow of business during slow hours anyways to make sure there's at least ONE person around. read more

I recently came here for lunch with two friends. We were seated quickly, the restaurant was very quiet, only two other tables seated and a few people at the bar. Our server was very sweet, but the service overall was terrible. It took about 25 minutes for her to come take our drink order. By that time, we already knew what we wanted, so she took our food order as well. Another 15 minutes passed before we received our drinks and appetizer. Our entrées came shortly after. The food was okay. I ordered the chicken salad that comes with a quesadilla. When my food arrived, the server told me they were still waiting on the quesadilla. Later, when she came by and asked if we wanted dessert, I mentioned that I never received the quesadilla. She apologized and offered us a free dessert, which was kind of her. She then brought out the quesadilla. The cheese wasn't even fully melted, wasn't great. At this point, our table was completely full of dirty plates-appetizer plates and entrée plates, and nothing had been cleared. She then brought out the dessert without removing any of the plates, leaving us trying to eat dessert with a table full of dirty dishes. Overall, the service was extremely disappointing. THE WORST PLACE EVER! I went for a work luncheon... and boy was it horrible. It wasn't busy at all but orders were not correct. I got a crispy burger with fries and they didn't bring it out with the rest of the food for everyone else. I asked and the server's response what that they had made grilled and so they were making a new one. Some people were halfway done with their meals and they had just started remaking mine. They didn't think to notify me.... By the time they said they were going to bring it out soon, people were packing up leftovers and ready to pay. They didn't offer to comp anything or even give a discount. They didn't seem to really care and only said they would offer to pack it to-go. Only if I can give them NO STARS... Although... I'm glad it didn't come out. Some people were saying that the chicken was RUBBERY. That's disgusting. ((Friday 8:30 pm)) It's been a good minute since I've decided to try this place out again. The last few times (in different location) were horrible experiences. At arrive the hostess was stand offish, told us it would be a 30 minute wait so we walked around the stores for 15 minutes max! We came back and names under ours were crossed off. They sat us down right after. Julie was our waitress and let me say she was amazing! Checked on us frequently. Was able to recommend some items from the menu. Wings were good, nothing out of the ordinary. ((They have the all you can eat deal for 14.99 right now. )) I absolutely love the artichoke dip! Definitely getting that again. Decent amount and shareable. My plate! OMG! So freaking good! I don't remember the name but it was chicken with shrimp and mashed potatoes. The chicken was so juicy! Had a great flavor! The mash honestly was bland needed something to make it pop like the chicken. I can honestly say the chicken and shrimp is a 10 out of 10! It was just so good! Time for an updated review! This time it's for take-out after ordering online. Online ordering was super easy. Pictures are very helpful and also the ability to customize your order was appreciated. I had a $50 gift card so I ordered more food that I needed anticipating that some would go into the fridge. I set a time for 12:30pm pick up since I'm about 15 minutes away. I actually got there early but did some shopping at the discount store next door which was fun. Walked in the front door at 12:28ish, and nobody was there to greet me, or the other guy that walked it. I saw another door thinking that might be for picking up food and walked over to check it out. No signage (at least on the inside) or anything indicating where I should wait. A guy finally met me and the other guy (who turned out to be an UberEATS driver) up front, got my name, and told me to wait the door that I thought was the pickup door. And there I waited... ... for almost 15 minutes. Except for one "they're working on your order now", not a single person interacted with me. The UberEATS driver got his food about 5-6 minutes in. Finally, my food came out. They asked to see my cell phone which kind of confused me. I guess delivery services show their phones to prove they are picking up the right order. She asked if I ordered online, and I said yes to which she then stopped asking to see my phone. She was very nice. I went straight home and was happy that the order was 100% correct the supplied enough utensils and napkins. They get bonus points for not having the au jue spill all over the place. A problem I've had with other places. The food was as expected, although I thought my honey chicken seemed smaller. Looking at the picture I uploaded in 2017, it's definitely smaller! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES!! We arrived at this location on 5/19/2026 around 8:30-8:45 to place a reservation for our group after a graduation ceremony. First red flag was that they only wrote down our name, no contact information at all to flag us down when our reservation was ready, despite it being very busy. We had been told it would take about an hour to be seated so we had to wait outside because it was so packed. We go back inside at around 9:30 to check on our reservation status and there is a completely new hostess at the front stand than before. We go to check our reservation status and see that our reservation had been moved and pushed down below multiple parties?? We asked the new hostess why it was moved and she just kept saying they had to "rewrite the reservation list" in a very snarky tone, but couldn't explain why our reservation had been now moved under multiple parties. They told us then it would now be an additional hour and a half on top of the hour we had already been waiting!! The server Julie couldn't give us an apology despite knowing they made a mistake. We live an hour away from this city and just wanted to celebrate after our graduation ceremony, so we wouldn't have even been able to stay if we wanted to. Can here the other night with the family and the wait to be seated wasn't long at all. We were a party of 6 after being seated I felt like they took to long to attended us and bring the food and check but the server was very nice. We sat in the bar It wasn't too packed but it was a good vibe everyone including ourselves seemed to be enjoying themselves. I went here with my friend for dinner and the experience was horrible. At first, our server was nice and told us about the happy hour that was currently going on, but then came over not too long after our food came and asked my friend, while be was a quick phone call, if he wanted another beer and to go boxed. I don't understand why she couldn't just wait till he got off the phone to come over and ask if he wanted another beer. He was literally on the phone for a few mins. Soon after that, she came back with another beer and the togo boxes when we were still eating . Just stop here for dinner with my girlfriend for the all you and eat ribs, popcorn shrimp, chicken tenders. Everything was warm like it wasn't freshly cooked. The tender that I ordered tasted like they were microwave, the only thing that came out hot was the fries. My girlfriend shrimp came out soggy and she didn't enjoy this restaurant at all.
