We tried Philly's Best Cheesesteaks and it did not disappoint! I ordered the new Cooper Classic with beef on a seeded roll, and it was packed with great flavor and plenty of meat. The roll was toasted a little more than I personally prefer, but it still held everything together nicely and made for a really satisfying sandwich. We also ordered two Philly's Best cheesesteaks with mushrooms and sweet peppers for my husband and nephew, and my husband absolutely loved his--he couldn't stop talking about how good it was. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and every sandwich was made just right. We'll definitely be back for another cheesesteak fix!

Great tasting Philly cheesesteaks. I must say, these things are now on the pricey side but it's 2025, so it's to be expected I guess. Got a large Philly's Best (which is essentially a cheesesteak with mushrooms and hot peppers) by itself and it came out to $15.07 after tax. If I wanted to add fries and a drink, it would have been $25. Am I crazy for thinking that $25 for a sandwich, fries and a drink is too much? They charge $5 for fries and $4 for a fountain drink, both of which I think is too much. I think they should incorporate different portion sizes instead of charging a flat $5 for fries. Maybe I'm just a cheap mf, idk. Anywho, I said eff all that and decided to stick with just the sandwich. The lady who rang me up (who I think is the manager?) was very kind and very accommodating. She checked up on me and asked if I needed anything to which I replied everything was great (but I really wanted to tell her that I need them fries to be cheaper). I would definitely come back when I get my craving for a good Philly cheesesteak but I will probably continue to pass on getting fries and a drink unless they finally decide to listen to my sage business advice.

I walked in and automatically greeted by a nice young man. Nice genuine smile. I decided what to get pretty fast. He asked all the right questions to make sure if I wanted anything else. I was just going to get the sandwich but then he asked do I added the fries. My order was done before I knew it. Was on my way home to hopefully enjoy. I got home and was hungry so dove into my dinner. Perfect temperature, tasty & it hit the spot!!!! The young man was very friendly, his service was right on!!! It's hard to find employees like him these days, hold on to him!

Came here again and the staff was very friendly. The food was good but I still feel like the Cheesesteaks can use more meat! Despite this the food was good.

Stopped in for a cheesesteak for lunch. Back from a week long trip in Philadelphia, I had my share of several of these sammiches. Ordered the Philly's Best that's filled with mushrooms, sweet peppers, white American cheese on a amorosa roll. Hot off the grill the steak was juicy, seasoned and finely shredded. I enjoyed while watching USA take gold in the Olympics with an ice cold root beer.

I wanted to like this place so badly... AMBIANCE - Old establishment located in the sample plaza as Ralph's. It smells odd in there. Can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, there's an ample amount of parking. SERVICE - The two kids who work there seem diligent and they're polite. The food came out relatively quickly. FOOD - I purchased Philly's best for roughly $12.50. Overpriced for the quality and flavor. Something in the sandwich was excessively sweet - not sure if it was the onions or peppers. Also, the mushrooms are chopped so finely that you can't even taste it. I'm talking, julienne cut - more or less invisible. 1 star because of the staff was polite and service was quick. Would I be back? Should you give it a try? NO. Stay away. :(

Proof of both orders. Lied and stole $50 from me.

I have loved this place for years and hopefully management/owners can resolve this so I can update this review. Yesterday I placed a pick up order on yelp via Grubhub. I usually order from the location on Tustin but mistakenly placed the order here. I noticed as soon as the confirmation page came up with the Chapman address. Realizing my mistake I immediately called the restaurant and told them of my mistake and asked for the order to be canceled. They said I have to contact grub hub. I was also told that wouldn't fulfill the order and look for the grub hub order to be canceled. I called grub hub and explained this and they reached out to the restaurant to verify. The restaurant lied and told them the food was made and picked up already!! I was denied my refund and I asked them to call again and remind them that I called before the food was made and they agreed to cancel the order. They lied again but also changed their story telling the grub hub representative that they had already put the chicken and hamburger on the grill by the time I had called. Lies! They still won't not issue a refund and I'm just screwed. I realize it was my mistake but I quickly fixed it and still am out $50. Yes $50 their sandwiches are very expensive. I even placed an order to the right location right after I was told to call grub hub and they would issue the refund. Shame on the employees who worked on August 17th, around 1:30 pm. I reviewed this restaurant once before at five stars. Sad I'd had to change it.

I'm pretty selective when it comes to cheesesteaks, but he assured me this was THE spot. I ordered a large West Coast Cheesesteak with provolone and their cheddar cheese sauce. First impressions were positive. The sandwich was filled with an ample amount of fillings. This place definitely does not skimp on the meat. I was informed by the worker that their "The Big One" has even more meat. I'll have to order that next time. After the first bite, I was pleased by the thin yet crispy, juicy, well-seasoned beef. The bread was the perfect complement, soft and soaking up the beef juices for a perfect bite. Despite soaking up the juices, the bread held its form well while also being chewy and airy. The provolone cheese was spread evenly throughout the sandwich, with the fresh mushrooms and jalapeños enhancing the flavors. The biggest surprise of my meal was the cheese sauce. I'm a big texture guy, so I was hesitant at first. A bad cheese sauce makes a sandwich soggy while overpowering the flavor of the meat. This was the opposite. The sauce was velvety smooth, and spread well after each pour. It was thick enough that it held its form and didn't saturate the bread. Very rich, creamy, and flavorful. Talked to the employee and he said they make their cheese sauce in-house. Very cool! This spot lived up to my coworker's hype, and he's easily earned my trust when it comes to food recs. I've had authentic cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, and this place is darn close to the stuff they have out there. I live far away, but I'm willing to drive up to this place next time I crave a cheesesteak roll.

Their tater tots alone are practically a meal. They're crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and well-seasoned without being overly salty. They're great with ketchup, but I like mixing half of them with my homemade lemon pepper seasoning, which takes them to another level. The cheesesteaks are generously portioned and packed with tender, buttery beef smothered in plenty of melted cheese. Every bite is rich, savory, and satisfying, making this the perfect spot whenever you're craving a hearty, cheesy sandwich.

We ordered the LA Spicy Philly and it did not disappoint. Genuinely one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've had, the flavor was phenomenal from start to finish. And the best part? I made it a combo and also ordered the hot lemon pepper wings. Wasn't mad about my food. It kept my tastebuds occupied for the England v France bronze game. The portions, for what I paid...I'll accept. The cheesesteak landscape in LA is still a small neighborhood. You got the mall chain, the imported-from-Philly chain (my fave), and the indie complex, where Jawny's and a handful of other developing entities reside. LA loves a good hot, chopped sandwich and businesses will continue to showcase their take on the east coast institution. Even fast service megas, like Jack in the Crack and Arby's, are making sure they can ride the cheesesteak wave. Did Jawny's keep up with my favorite? Not so much. Not with the classic. I'm not even sure what was so proprietary about the house made Wiz. And the overall value made the original steak feel like more of a hyped, boutique version of the cheesteak. It just wasn't substance-forward. But this restaurant will technically be more accessible than the carwash pop-up was, and that counts in my hemisphere. To be honest, I see myself ordering their wings more often, as a closer alternative to Wingstop. Ultimately, Jawny's is middle of the road for me. Seems it'll be passible food that I can stand to pay for some of the time. But congratulations on a place to call your own, y'all! That much, for sure, deserves a salute.
