I've been a fan of Firehouse Subs and this location for a while. The variety on the menu is excellent, and I appreciate the different sandwich sizes. A few of my recent favorites are the specialty clubs. The Hook & Ladder collaboration with Hot Ones, although the spiciness was a little disappointing, the regular Hook & Ladder is tasty. The Firehouse Steak and Cheese, Firehouse Meatball, and Turkey Ranch Bacon are also great. Don't forget to try out the hot sauces to amp up the flavor of your sandwiches. There is a display showing pairing ideas, as well as staff recommendations. It's always busy here, so I order ahead through the mobile app for pickup. My orders have always been made on time, and the rewards and special offers are a nice incentive. Prices are unfortunately increasing, but it's still a nice treat. First time trying Firehouse subs! The ordering process was simple and easy through the app. You can customize the sandwich by adding and or subtracting items very easily. They have plenty of sauces you could add on also. The only promotion they had at the time of ordering was 2x extra points. However they do have promotions from time to time, including BOGOs. I ordered the hook and ladder and the Italian. Both of the sandwich were fully packed with meat and the flavor was amazing! You can really taste the freshness and is head and shoulders above Subway sandwiches. The prices are however were a little steep but you kind of get what you pay for. T-Mobile Tuesday offer of a bogo deal on their Hook and Ladder sandwich. For $12.49 you received two medium hot turkey and ham sandwich. Because of the deal, it wasn't a bad value, but that deal is obviously not a regular thing and if you're not with T-Mobile you are paying $12.49 for one little sandwich that did not have a lot of meat. It reminded me of Jersey Mikes, which is not much better. There are definitely a lot of better sandwich places around. Because of the offer, you have to use the app to order which I feel takes away from being able to get good customer service. The guy at the counter was nice, but there just wasn't much customer interaction. It's also good that I decided to eat it there because he would have forgotten to give me my drink. I had to ask for my cup. I think because fast food places want very little contact with their customers, they lose the ability to give them above and beyond service that has gone away in most fast food restaurants. If Firehouse subs had a closer location near me, then I might take advantage of specials that they would have. I hope others find them a better value than I do. Five stars because of the service/cleanliness! Firehouse is consistently good, they keep the menu somewhat short and that to me is the sign of a smart business. Do a handful of items well rather than a lot of items so-so. That said, we ended up here late, Google said they close @ 10p, but as we walked in @ 8:55p the sign said 9p. I asked to make sure that it wasn't too late as I really don't like putting folk out, but not only were they polite and gracious, they whipped up some good sandwiches. My bf had a code from his T-Mobil Tuesday discount (BOGO a hook and ladder sandwich) we took it home to eat it so it wasn't 100% fresh. With that being said, this was absolutely DELICIOUS. My first time ever having Firehouse Subs and I can see the appeal! I got the hook and ladder sub and it was prepared pretty quickly. It was packed with ingredients and it was the perfect temperature. I also love the slice of pickle they give you and pairs perfectly with the sandwich. I also ordered a side of chips to add an extra crunch to my meal. The inside is pretty spacious with a lot of seating available. I love the interior decorations that really honor our first responders. Staff was friendly and parking was plentiful. I complained on the app, and it said they would get back to me. They closed the complaint/inquiry, and never got back to me. The meatball sub or firehouse sub as they call it did not disappoint. I got it on white bread with regular meatball instead of the sweet and spicy. First thing I noticed was it's not a wet sub. It's now drowning in sauce but it's also not dry. The bread is still soft inside and has been lightly toasted. It has a bit of crunch but not the kind of crunch where there's crumbs everywhere. The cheese is perfectly melted and a little crisp over the sandwich. The meatballs tasted a little succulent. Like they're. A little fatty but not greasy fatty. Like a good home made meatball. My only regret is I got this sandwich in a small. I'm curious about the sweet and spicy but the cashier recommended classic. Not sure if I'll try the sweet and spicy since this one was so good. The other sandwich we got was the medium hook and ladder. Forgot to take a picture before eating the bigger half so you only see the small half. It was good but hard to bear a hot sandwich. I liked the honey ham. They use deli mustard so beware if you're used to yellow mustard. It wasn't an overwhelming deli mustard thankfully. Just enough lettuce and tomato. Tomato was thin sliced and I liked that neither were wet so the sandwich didn't get soggy. It annoys me when they wash the lettuce or cut tomato and it's so wet the sandwich gets soggy. Good sub spot located in Anaheim area. I'm not in the area that often, but when I am and I want a good sandwich, this is the spot. I drove about 12 miles to get a sandwich here. I arrived at 7:45, because the website and the sign posted on the window says they close at 9:00 p.m. They put a handwritten sign on the window that says because they're "short staffed" they closed at 7:00 p.m. I'm sure corporate will be pleased to see makeshift handwritten signs telling their sad story and why they're closing early. There are three employees in the store cleaning up at 7:53 p.m. Since I pulled up 10 groups of people plus myself couldn't get a sandwich. At your prices I'm guessing this store lost out on about $250 in food and drinks sales... But hey, if the owners of this location are ok with losing money, so be it, but to inconvenience your customers is pretty lame. The way I see it, one person could take orders, the other person could make the sandwich, the other person could start cleaning up if that's the problem. As I look inside at 8:05 p.m. there's a guy sweeping and a girl leaning up against the counter. I say they look like they're pretty short-staffed (sarcasm). I'm pretty upset and the guy that was parked next to me left with his daughter didn't to happy either! Thanks for wasting my time and my gas!
