Another great evening out and my first time ever at Norman's. I was pleasantly surprised as I've dined at other restaurants in the area and I must say , I left full and happy with the service. The table setting was very romantic and from the beginning to the end, I give my experience a 10. Dinner and dessert was phenomenal and I loved the guava margarita ( keep them coming !) I'd like to come and enjoy the outdoor terrace as well or maybe an after work cocktail at the bar. Even though we did not order from the magical dining menu, If you want to book magical dining reservations, they are on the list this year !

My wife and I went to Norman's for the first time to experience Magical Dining, and it was fantastic. The decor and ambience were very upscale and extremely inviting. The service was top notch, and everyone worked extremely hard to make sure our evening was perfect. The food was absolutely fantastic, the steaks cooked perfectly, and I could have enjoyed a few more desserts for the road. Overall, I highly recommend Norman's to anyone looking for a great steakhouse in the Dr Phillips area. You won't be disappointed!

Came here for thw first time with my daughter and husband to celebrate her promotion at work. Our waiter Jadon made our first time experience there such a pleasant one. Jadon was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. If it wasn't for Jadon I dont think the establishment would of gotten 4 stars. I am used to miami and nyc fast service so this was a slower pace than usual for me. The mash potatoes were excellent the broccoli were tasty The truffle fries were a little on the salty side and lacking truffle. The drinks were great. The filet mignon was delicious the Key West snapper with grill asparagus was delectable . The beef short ribs were tasty too. As for the desserts they were okay not my favorite. The ambiance of the establishment was very romantic has a nice sexy vibe. They offer different sides to eat but we did the main inside dining area.

Norman's Orlando delivered one of the finest dining experiences we've had in Central Florida. In our opinion, it surpasses both Fleming's and Christner's, not only because of the exceptional food and drinks, but because of the complete experience from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, showcasing incredible attention to detail and culinary expertise. The drinks were equally impressive, expertly crafted and memorable in their own right. From the first bite to the last sip, everything exceeded expectations. What truly set the evening apart was the outstanding hospitality. The assistant management was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring every guest at our table had a remarkable experience. Her presence and professionalism elevated an already exceptional meal. A special thank you to our waiter and back waiter, whose attentiveness, knowledge, and seamless service made the evening truly memorable. They anticipated every need without being intrusive and created the kind of personalized experience that is becoming increasingly rare. Their dedication to excellence turned a great dinner into an unforgettable night. If you're looking for a restaurant that combines world-class cuisine, exceptional drinks, and hospitality that rivals the best fine dining establishments, Norman's Orlando is in a class of its own. We will absolutely be returning.

Norman's has one of the best upscale happy-hour experiences in Orlando. The atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated, yet still comfortable enough for drinks and small bites with friends. The cocktails were delicious, beautifully prepared, and reasonably priced for the quality and setting. Their current happy-hour drink menu includes $10 cocktails such as the Guava Margarita, Chismosa with Prosecco and passion fruit, Norman's Old Fashioned, The Albatross, and Grey Goose Martinis. They also offer $8 sommelier-selected wines and several $5/7 beers. The food was equally impressive--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their happy-hour menu includes Blue Crab Beignets with yuzu aioli, Chilled Beef Tenderloin Tataki, Truffle Fries, Fish and Chips, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Porchetta, oysters on the half shell, and a chef-selected charcuterie board. Everything we tried was tasty, and the happy-hour pricing made it possible to sample several different dishes. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday as a surprise, and overall, we had a wonderful time. However, one part of the experience could have been handled much better. We brought a personal dessert for the celebration, but the manager would not allow us to serve it and came across as unnecessarily rude when explaining the policy. We respect that restaurants may have rules regarding outside food, but no one informed us of this policy when we made the reservation or when we checked in with the dessert. A simple heads-up beforehand--or a kinder, more professional explanation--would have prevented the disappointment. Despite that interaction, the drinks, food, atmosphere, and rest of the experience were very enjoyable. I would still recommend Norman's, especially for its excellent happy-hour menu, but I hope management improves how special-occasion policies are communicated to guests.

Came here for the first time on a Friday night around 6pm and it wasn't too busy. Vibe is classy and upscale. We ordered the filet mignon and the snapper. The filet was tender and flavorful and the snapper was cooked perfectly, tasted fresh and juicy. Came again on a Thursday night at 6pm for happy hour and that was excellent value, we ordered multiple dishes and they were all great. Pro Tip: They say that you can only order from the happy hour menu if your in the lounge area or outside terrace, but if it isn't too busy they'll let you order from the happy hour menu from the main dining room. And they are also very accommodating towards children, have brought our baby along and they sat us in the back and let us bring our stroller as well. Service is outstanding, great for a date night with or without the kids.

I heard about this restaurant through Tik Tok and decided to come here for my early birthday dinner. We had reservations, but they were running behind so we got seated about 20 minutes later. I didn't realize the Magical Dining option was going on so that was nice surprise. For my first course I had the chowder. It was light and flavorful. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the fact that it came out on the colder side and I prefer soups to come out on the hotter side. For my second course I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and broccolini. It came out exactly how I like it. Very tender and the right amount of flavor. Same thing with this though, the food was on the colder side. Not sure if they typically have the food prepped and just sitting for a while without adding heat to it or something. For my last course I ordered the carrot cake which was made perfectly. Not too sweet and very delicious. For drinks I had the lychee martini which was good, but for me just a bit too sweet. I enjoyed the ambiance, it was really beautiful and dim inside. Not a lot of noise which was nice. I would recommend this restaurant.

We came to this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. The hostess seemed disinterested though not overtly rude. The waitress however seemed to have it out for us from the moment we ordered water. We rarely drink but it is always a shock to see the abrupt attitude change that can bring with it - in this instance the waitress treated us as "cheap" for the rest of the evening. The restaurant was nearly empty and yet service was exceedingly slow. There were several times we struggled to get the waitresses attention. The blue crab beignets were extremely good. The truffle fries were okay but not fresh. The mash had very little flavor and was chunky which is just not our personal preference. The filet would have been fine but it was undercooked (ordered medium). We were given a bite sized dessert for the birthday but we both tried a nibble and neither of us cared for it (we do have some sweet tooths and it wasn't very sweet). The ambiance was the best part, it was very nice if a bit bright and all staff were dressed smartly. I would not return here. Their neighbor, ocean prime, blew them out of the water in both service and food.

Went for happy to celebrate my Grand daughter birthday. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Friendly bartender and helpful. Prices are really good for happy hour. The spinach dip was very good as well as the blue crab beignets. Gave margarita is good as well as the old fashion. . Will be back Really enjoyed it.

I came here for my Birthday dinner. The hostess and staff are pleasant and professional. We were seated immediately with our reservation. Note: They keep the place chilly. Bring a shawl, cardigan, something to keep warm. We have 2 servers helping each other. We order drinks and food. My first issue was instead of letting me know the drink I ordered isn't available and choosing an alternative drink, they bring me a lychee martini to see if I like it. I drink it because it's in my wheelhouse and it took long to receive it. Secondly, it actually took long to receive each course. It wasn't initially busy when we arrived but it increasingly got busier during our visit. We arrived at 5:45pm and left close to 8pm. They let us know throughout the service that they were running behind and offered champagne: a nice gesture, but we're not big drinkers. Here's what we ordered: 3 Course Prix-Fixe Menu -Brazilian Styled Conch Chowder -Fillet of Key West Yellowtail Snapper -Havana Bananas -Gold Label Creekstone Farms Wagyu NY Strip Steak *Fried Green Tomatoes *Miso Bbq Glazed Mushrooms *Blue Crab Beignets (2) *Truffle Fries The food is great! I especially enjoyed the Blue Crab Beignets, Miso Bbq Glazed Mushrooms, and the Wagyu Strip Steak. I asked for the steak medium and it seemed more on the medium well side until I got to the center. It was delicious anyway and now I know to order it medium rare. Overall a nice experience, just be aware of wait times between courses.

We knew we were in for a wonderful experience when we first entered Norman's. From being greeted by lovely Mia, to Taylor recommending and preparing our drinks at the bar, to Sergio's excellent service, it was a night to remember. Four of us were in town from different areas of Florida to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was perfectly prepared and service could not have been better. We felt not only welcomed, but special. We had a Via Dellagio salad, filet mignon, blue crab beignets, yuca stuffed crispy shrimp, and a molten lava cake. Everything was absolutely delicious! In a world where restaurants are a dime a dozen, Norman's stands out in the crowd, head and shoulders above the others. We are already talking about when we will have the opportunity to head to Orlando again and go back. If you are in the area, check them out. You can thank me later!

I was here for a private event and they did a really good job. I didn't try the food until too late so the truffle fries and pork belly appetizers were room temperature at best. I heard the pizza and chicken appetizers were really good. I tried too many of the passionfruit martinis and it really knocked me for a loop. They go down too easy so be warned.

Ask the Community - Norman's

We are going here as a work group for a meeting. Is there a dress code? Jeans or shorts ok?

Hello - our fine-dining restaurant has a Business Casual dress-code, we just ask that you do not wear sports attire or baseball caps in our dining room. Enjoy your visit.

Is the terrace covered ( in case of rain?) and is there AC and/or lots of air moving via fans?

Hello Tracey! Yes we have a covered Terrace, with fans for moving air. We just had a large party…

Anyone have an idea of their pricing?

Like any fine dining restaurant, the pricing is on the higher end. However, the excellent food, impeccable service and wonderful interior decor deserve a premium. Chef Norman is an innovator and the menu at Norman's is a prime example.

The bartenders were also amazing--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything, which made the happy hour experience that much better. I had originally planned on doing Magical Dining, so I started with the Albondigas (Spanish meatballs). Unfortunately, they were a major disappointment. The texture was strangely rubbery, they lacked flavor, and they weren't served very hot. After a few bites, I honestly lost my appetite and decided not to continue with the rest of the Magical Dining meal. It's unfortunate because the restaurant itself has a beautiful, lively atmosphere, and the bar experience was excellent. I really wanted to enjoy dinner as much as I enjoyed the drinks and service. Overall, 3/5. I would definitely come back for happy hour, the Espresso Martinis and bartenders alone make that worthwhile but based on the food I tried, I wouldn't rush back for dinner.

We chose seats at the bar and were greeted promptly by Brian and Rowan. Because there were a lot of people and just the two of them, they were running around taking orders from tables as well as servicing the bar so it did take a little bit to get our drink orders in, but we were enjoying looking through the whiskey library anyways. I started off with a Suncreek blonde ale. It is strawberry blonde ale and it's delicious. My husband started with the Yingling. He keeps hoping they will bring the Kentucky bourbon ale back on tap again. For lunch, I got the whiskey dip which is full of chopped beef with cheese and onions. Served with an herb, dipping sauce, and your choice of side. I opted for the sweet potato waffle fries because they are delicious. My husband got a burger with fries cooked perfectly. Once we are done with our food, we did opt for a taster. My husband had to go through several different bottles before he found one they actually had in stock. That is one of the downside is the whiskey library that is online is not always reflective of what they actually have in stock as he was really looking forward to trying the old Fitzgerald birthday, but alas, they did not have it in stock. He ended up going with the jack Daniels 12 year and really enjoyed it. I opted for the widow Jane 14 year very sweet easy to drink. He maybe touched the table twice (both times we had to call him over) the drinks were not good. I had an espresso martini that tasted purely of salted caramel syrup (I dont believe they had a true bartender so that may be why). I ordered oysters from reg menu and had to send back as they were dry and frozen to touch! As a Baltimorean, that's a no go. We ordered from magical dining menu....The apps were great! I recommend the wagyu dumplings and shrimp tempura. Chicken Katsu entree was very tasty however my rigatoni was undercooked and overly seasoned. The dessert....cheesecake was stiff and flavorless even with cherry topping. The sorbets were great! The overall decor and esthetics are what brought me to this location so after my experience I'd recommend visiting during happy hour as it's a super cute spot for drinks and pics.

Our favorite date night spot never disappoints!…read more Came here to celebrate amazing friendship and love and we truly enjoyed the food, service and ambiance as we always do. We've been coming to this location for over 6 years so they know us pretty well. We've sat at our favorite table and enjoyed appetizers and cocktails before dinner and dessert. As you can see by our photos we definitely had a spread and left very happy and full. Eddie V's is perfect for couples, families and corporate events as well but I do love their happy hour and come after work sometimes to meet my girls ! Classy, sexy and always a vibe here ! My friend and I came here for Magical Dining 2026. This particular location is very busy. I do wish…read morethey had a larger staging area in the front for the check in as it felt crowded with everyone standing around by the doors. When we were seated, our waiter very quickly brought us water and went over the menu and his recommendations. We went with the 22 oz. ribeye, the chicken breast, crab fried rice, the broccoli, and mashed potatoes. With how busy the restaurant was, it did take a while to get our drinks and orders in general. Food flavor was average and personally felt like it needed more seasoning but I understand this is a personal choice. The live band then started to play by the bar and the more intimate atmosphere became overwhelming for my friend and I quickly. We went ahead and asked for our food to be packed and dessert to be brought. I decided to do the banana's foster and found the fire does not stay lit long enough to burn off the rum poured on. It really tasted of strong alcohol so I asked for a new and different dessert to go - the Belgian chocolate cake. This was delicious and wished I had done this to begin with. Overall, I'd try them again after magical dining to see if there are any improvements.
