great service!!! great food!! great location!! The staff really go out if they're way to make you feel at home!

First time trying this place since I came to Florida. We went for lunch, arrive was on point. We're from Oregon and it took 4000 miles to find a great sushi place. Tried two different appetizers, they were the chicken wings and crab Rangoon. We wanted to try the calamari but had already sold out by the time we came (was almost two) the waiter told us that they only prep fresh and the dinner prep hadn't been done yet. We went with the sushi bento . The bento lunch came with three rolls, typical lunch salad w/ginger dressing, seaweed salad and miso soup. There's two different location, we went to the new one in Saint Johns. The other location has a Fuji roll lunch special for $5.00 this location had theirs for $7.00 We were okay with the price difference as this was a new location with a new plaza. Absolutely clean, looked new. This place was being built when I left last year. I travel quite a lot with my service dog, we travel about 30k miles a year in the air and he's very, very restaurant savvy. This place didn't bat an eye at him (90lb male sealed European boxer) Our waiter was fantastic, cleared plates, refills, extra napkins (I have tremors and shake a little) The best things we had was the Fuji roll and the chicken wings (like a soy marinade Korean style) super most and crispy. Usually go to sumo sushi for sushi but this place is hands down better. This place doesn't have a hibachi grills (if that's your things, not me sushi all the way) Wish I had taken pictures but alas, I left my phone at the house. One of my favorite sushi spots. It is pricier than the other local places. Usually order a poke bowl which is the best value.

Ordered to go from their website on a busy Saturday night. Order was ready in about a half hour which is totally acceptable. Order was correct and all food was good. Only downside was I had to ask for white sauce, I had it in my order but they forgot. Got a caterpillar roll, yellowtail jalapeño roll, poke bowl and an order of egg rolls. read more

Horrible service, wait time, food, prices. Waited over an hour for our food to come out. Didn't even get any of our appetizers. The main meal came out cold. And most of all, don't charge me 26$ for a meal that's cold, dry and the rice is scooped with an ice cream scooper. My local Chinese place serves way better food in a fraction of the time. We asked for a manager and he never came out after 5 min of waiting. We told them to pound sand and we aren't paying for our beers. Don't go to this place. Order Chinese from ur local store instead. If I could give it 0 stars I would. FYI we ordered about $150 worth of food too. This place will not last with service like this. We will NEVER be back read more

We were so excited for this place to open. We have been stalking the website for months. Sadly we were very disappointed. Some of the food was great( rice and onions) but the steak was like eating leather. I was unable to even eat most of the pieces. The sushi I ordered was incorrect but the kids still enjoyed it and ate it. I like how brown rice is an option for the sushi. I feel like Pad Thai is hard to screw up and this just was not good. Also there were mushrooms in it which I have never experienced before. My biggest issue besides pay $50 for mediocre food was the fight for the shrimp sauce. We were only given 2 shrimp sauces for all this food. When we asked for more the owner lady was very annoyed and said I already gave you two. I don't know about you but I love my shrimp sauce and two half empty shrimp sauces aren't enough for that much food. Needless to say we won't be back until we get desperate enough to try again. read more

Walked in and was greeted and sat promptly which was awesome. Took an immediate turn when it took about 5-7 minutes to be greeted by our waitress. Ordered everything at the greet since it took a few minutes for her to initially come by, she was very short and barely spoke to us. My daughters and my own food came out before our appetizer which was fine, but my husbands food didn't even come out until we were both finished with our entrees. The server seemed to be more preoccupied with her other tables and rarely came over to us to check on our food or for refills. We sadly had to ask for everything ourselves, we might had well have just ordered and paid at the register and just sat down than have a server at all. Food was pretty good though which is why we have the 2 stars, we will be back to possibly try dine in once more or just get togo. We didn't bother with dessert after that experience we just wanted to pay and leave and go somewhere else for that portion of our night. read more

Stopped by during soft opening and couldn't be more impressed with the quality of food. They were very busy and understaffed(understandable with CoVid) and still provided phenomenal service by going above and beyond. Got to speak to owner once it died down a little and he couldn't be nicer. Will definitely be back and would recommend it to everyone, while still being mindful it is a new restaurant and they are still working out timing issues which will come with time as all new restaurants do. read more

As long time sushi lovers, we thought we would try Nori and unfortunately the experience was not stellar. The atmosphere is far from Japanese as it gets, we were welcomed upon enetering and were told to seat ourselves at any table. It was then more than 5 minutes before the waitress came to our table. By the way, there was only two customers and they were finished and getting ready to leave, so it wasn't busy. Once waited on we had to ask for napkins, chop sticks, etc. It ook a while to get our drinks and finally take our order. The waitress struggled entering our order in the computer and the sushi chief took forever to make our order and kept bouncing back to the waitress asking her about the order. When we finally got the order it wasn't correct. We specifically said we didn't want anything spicy and some rolls were. Some rolls were 8 pcs and should have been 4 pcs. The rice was mushy, and not properly seasoned. The sushi menu did not offer soft shell crab (Spider Roll), or Qail Eggs or Uni (Sea Urchin), just to mention a few items. Even our bill was incorrect. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as there are far better and less expensive sushi restaurants in Jax. read more

We went for the sushi and ended up with sushi, pad thai and hibachi- my son said it was the best hibachi he's ever had, steak perfectly cooked and I couldn't keep my daughter out of my pad thai! She said she was definitely getting the pad thai next time! We were o lay disappointed they didn't offer crab rangoons but can't wait to try other offerings as they seem to know what they are doing all around! read more

As a former NYC & LA resident, I am very picky about my sushi...I have not found good sushi in Jax area in the last decade and the reviews have not led me to the best places...I hope this one does for others. The sushi here was great. So fresh, tasty, and good all-around. Definitely the best I have had in Jax area. My daughter LOVED the habachi chicken - "it's soooo good" and the clear soup "really, really yummy...the flavor was just so good". My husband loved the food also. We will be back! Yay! We ordered take-out and really enjoyed our meal. I had a poke bowl which was so fresh and delicious. The portion was large so I have enough for two meals. My husband had steak with what appeared to be stir fried noodles. They included a free appetizer as well. We'll be back soon. read more

We have dined at Nori's 3 times and have been more than satisfied. The staff (everyone) and food are fabulous. We have tried something new each time we've dined with them and taste and presentation was wonderful. Portions are generous. We were fortunate to have Thayla as our waitress the first time and we asked for her on subsequent visits. Her smile lights up the room and she is so friendly. We've gone there when every table was filled with customers and service was still prompt and courteous. The owner, Nengah Mustika (Moose) comes by and is so engaging. There appears to always be adequate wait staff/workers (unlike many restaurants today unable to keep adequate staff) which I believe speaks well for management. I encourage you to try them out. We wanted to like this place, but I am giving this place two stars because of how my father was treated. Our server was at first attentive. However, there were several instances where there was misunderstanding about what we ordered. My mother's dinner order was incorrect. However, The fried rice was good. My father's sashimi was very fresh. The bulgogi was flavorful but not a good portion of meat. I got the Indonesian beef, and it was tasty. The chicken hibachi was very dry and under seasoned. The worst part was when the bill came and my father was charged for three pieces of fish and he actually only got two. He alerted our server of the mistake, and she insisted that he did indeed get three pieces. He did not. He always gets the same sashimi order, with the same amount of fish absolutely everywhere he goes. The price difference came down to about $6-8, but our server absolutely refused to listen and make it right. She even tried to get my husband and I on her side with the situation, saying at one point that my father should have somehow spoken up earlier, which didn't even make sense. It was honestly the first time I have ever witnessed my father getting so upset with a server like that. He usually never complains, but she argued so much that it became a very uncomfortable scene. I was disappointed that they were so unwilling to work with us: they could have chosen to either credit the bill or give him literally three bites of food. They chose to do nothing and argue their point. It's too bad; We would have been regular customers. Now we will never go back, especially when you consider that the food was overall just mediocre anyway. read more
