This location is great! It wasn't super busy and staff was very friendly and quick to get us seated. Their rolls selection was vast and consistent with the other Kamiya locations. Everything was fresh and delicious but it did take some time for our sushi rolls to come out. We also ordered soup and gyoza so the sushi wait wasn't too bad. This is a great date spot as the seating is spaced perfectly for conversation. There was seating for both large and small groups and the location is great as it's close to the beach and dessert spots. read more

This place is the best Sushi that I have had in North Florida. The rolls are a great size and are always as tasty as they are beautiful. The presentation of these rolls is 10 out of 10. The staff is great and always friendly and welcoming. It's a great space for dinner or very good choice for lunch as well. I have had some of the hot Thai dishes and they are very good as well. We opted for the Love Boat for 2, which had just enough sushi to satisfy without feeling completely stuffed. We also had a bottle of sake between us. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was superb. Similar to the Jax and Neptune Beach offerings, the PVB Kamiya has sushi, chinese and Thai menu items. The sushi, rolls and sashimi are great as well as standards like fried rice. We did the omakase experience and had an amazing meal prepared by sushi chef Byron. He explained each dish. The pacing was spot on and took about an hour and a half. This Friday did not disappoint, I order at rush dinner time and food was ready on time. Waitstaff was super friendly and helpful. Our dinner was so delicious. Sushi and fish quality was pretty good! Food arrived as ordered. No complaints. They have an amazing rock roll, which is a our favorite. Also their tempura is so super crunchy and tasty. Having recently taken over Pacific Fusion, this location of Kamiya86 is really just getting up and running. Compared to its sister restaurant in Jax Beach, this one is much smaller and it lacks the interior design aspects that make the Jax Beach one feel like you've been transported to Japan. We ordered the mixed pad thai and three specialty rolls. The food came to the table quickly. The pad thai was ready just a few minutes after we'd ordered, making us question whether it was made fresh. When it arrived at the table, it had a very fishy smell to it, perhaps due to the shrimp. The beef was also very low-quality and served in large chunks, making it difficult to chew. The rolls were presented beautifully. The Mango Tango roll was the best of the three. While the lobster roll was good, The ratio of sauce to roll was too high. none of the rolls were as cold as I like them either. For now, I think I prefer the Jax Beach location of Kamiya86, for both the ambiance and the quality of the food. Maybe this location just needs a little more time. read more

We waited nearly 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us at our table. We had 2 small children who were growing impatient at every minute. i love this place . Last friday night my friend and i had the bright idea to go to the beach without any reservation anywhere. This is very unlike me but we thought we could decide when we got here. We after three separateplaces having lines longs than one for a disney ride we finally found this place. After hearing the wait was only 10 minutes we were quick to choose it. And maybe it was fste but i am so glad we did. The host was super sweet and our waitress wad amazing could not ask for better service there. I would definitly recommend this place at night because was clean and pretty. The vibe is vrry mellow for a sushi restaurant so it is definitely good for both groups and dates. Now as for the food i gotta say i eat a lot of sushi and go to plenty of japanese restaurants. So for one to stand out particularly thry have to really be good. The thing that stood out to me were the follwing. The crab rangoon for being such a simple thing was so so good. Like best l have ever had good. The sushi roll the whole table got i tried a bit of everything from sashimi to a fried roll. All delicious no complaints whatsever. And my friend got the tofu fried rice and said it was the most flavorful and perfecctly cooked tofu he have had in a while. Kamiya has a good selection of sushi, appetizers and entrees. I probably pick up more then I dine in but the restaurant has a good vibe and is not so loud that you cannot hear you dinner partner. The wait staff is good and efficient and attentive enough without crowding. Spicy tuna roll and green curry veggie are my favs. read more

Have been here before for sushi and appetizers. Sushi is actually pretty good. I took my 8 year old young daughter out to dinner here tonight for a good report card. The service was questionable from the start. We were I ignored for quite some time after being seated. My daughter got the kids shrimp tempura dinner - it was literally 2 pieces of shrimp, some lettuce with ginger dresser (maybe she would have eaten it if they asked what kind of dressing she wanted - she would have got ranch) and a bunch of fried and battered vegetables. It looked and tasted terrible. I got the Thai Chili - small and bland. Rubbery chicken and not much flavor. The worst part was the end. It was not that busy and my daughter and I were at a 4 top table. I felt rushed by the waitress. After she brought the bill she asked if there was anything else she can do and we both ordered one more round of Diet Coke and lemonade. She brought them out with the bill to sign and said "can you please sit over there (little table in the corner) or finish you drinks over there (area waiting to be seated) because she wanted to seat the next people. It wasn't busy!! Seriously? $50 dinner for adult and 1 child and we get told to move and get out of our seats to finish out drinks. So many good places in PV! Go somewhere else! read more

Finally was able to check out this sushi place and was very pleased! The ambiance is very nice. My husband and I ordered crab Rangoon, seaweed salad, the spicy girl roll, rock n roll and the spider roll. The crab Rangoon was not my favorite, it doesn't have much crab meat in it and when I bit into it all the cheese filling was liquid so it immediately poured out. The seaweed salad and the rolls were very good though! I order the spider roll (fried soft shell crab) at many sushi places and they're usually really thick and difficult to eat. However, the spider roll at Kamiya 86 was much narrower and easier to eat, and very delicious! We went for lunch on Saturday and there was hardly anyone there. We will definitely come try more rolls and other menu items for dinner sometime! read more

My parents in law live in the area and upon us visiting them, we often go to Kamiya86 for fresh sushi. This place is hands down best sushi place in the area! I always get pork gyoza for appetizer, it's spectacular, and the Kamiya sushi roll - it melts in your mouth. Their ginger dressing is unmatched. I've had other things than just sushi which is just as good as any of their sushi/sashimi/rolls. Chicken Pad Thai is amazing, as well as their Thai curry. What more could you ask for. Great Thai and Sushi! I am from out of town so I was skeptical when I saw 3.5 stars for this restaurant! Don't let the medium rating star deter you! The Thai Pad Kee Mao was excellent! They use the authentic fat/wide rice noodles for this dish and it's perfectly cooked with the smoky charred flavor to the noodles! Yum Yum! Hard to get something this authentic for a tourist. I'm glad they finally got their feet under them compared to the last time I was here. With my husband's renewed excitement for being able to find good sushi in Jax, we were ready to indulge again. We had found the easiest way for us to both get what we like (me the rolls, him the sashimi) is to order one of the 'boats'. This time it was the Love Boat for Two. The lava roll and the yummy roll were just that - yummy! My stomach was arguing with my eyes for ordering so much. Our waitress was on point and always showed up at the right moment to refill our glasses or clear our plates. Pacific Fusion is smaller than Kamiya, but it definitely has the same flare. Thumbs up from a local Ponte Vedran! We'll try it again! We are a table of six for Labor Day dinner. Made a reservation for 630, we arrived on time. Seated right away it is a lovely dining area. Our server, Ming, was so helpful to us as first-timers! We ordered 6 different dishes and 3 apps and shared it family-style. I think we are picky (yes, we are Asian) but we're very impressed with the fusion menu. In fact, 4 of my nephews work at other Asian restaurants in the area.
