This review is solely for their customer service and their store manager. Horrible customer service and contacted the store manager and she simply defended all her associates actions and told me to check for inventory on my phone so I don't waste their time! A total of 3 incidents happened to me at this location. The first incident happened a few months ago where I purchased a romper, and one of the supervisors forced me to return the item AFTER I paid for it. He told me that the ticket price was not correct. I understand his logic, but I already paid for the item and forcing a customer to return something is unheard of. The second incident happened when I tried to return a bra and was told I had to go to another Nordstrom Rack because there was another ticketing issue. The third incident happened when I was told I can not purchase a pair of shoes. The cashier, Amber, told me that the shoes had a too low of a price and that I was not able to purchase. I proceeded to ask her to explain why and she told me it was just policy and that she will not help me check inventory. I understand that ticketing issues happen, but if you do not want to sell me an item that is on the shelf, the least you can do is help me see if theres another pair in stores. PSA: Don't waste your time contacting upper management. You get what you get at this store. Edit: Saw other negative comments about the same store manager Melanie. This is my 3rd Nordstrom Rack that I have gone to and although it is quite a distance from where I am out, I would definitely seek this place out! They have great sales - 30$ for a Theory dress?! I'm totally buying it! What is great is that they have all their shoes in boxes! My brother got a pair of Asics for 50 bucks and with the Groupon (oh man, I miss it), it saved him lots! The clothes here are great and I often find great deals. Also I have discovered many great labels that I have never heard of before.The shoe selection does not really do anything for me. There's a good number "designer" pairs that run as much as $199 or $299 but the regular shoes are super...tacky. Come here for the clothes but go to the Burbank location for shoes. read more

I LOVE Nordstrom rack! They have a lot of excellent quality clothes and shoes at discounted prices. Now I can dress like I'm a rich girl at cheaper prices. I have been to this location a handful of times and have always found something I liked and purchased it. My most recent visit (day after Christmas) I purchased two dresses and a pair of shoes to go with. I used a coupon that I received in the mail, which I get from time to time (that prompts me to go). This place always has items in my size (clothing and shoes) and I am always excited to look through the racks and different sections to see what I could possible wear for whatever occasion. But my favorite place is upstairs in the shoe section! There are so many beautiful shoes, a lot of which are actually comfortable and actually fit my difficult feet. I could just stay in this section for an hour trying on shoes and feeling all dolled up, lol. However, there is a skimpy baby section and men's section upstairs here (but I never shop in these areas. My fiance is not into Normstrom Rack, so he doesn't even bother to look through the men's. He is really helpful in holding my bags and my purse when I'm trying on clothes and of course the shoes :D .. yep he's a keeper, that's why I'm marrying him) The staff working here are always nice and helpful. There are plenty of cashiers open, so waiting in line isn't too long. The dressing room (downstairs, and for women.. not sure if there is a dressing room for men though) is nice and clean and has several rooms. So waiting for a dressing room isn't too long. Anytime I am looking for something nice and elegant to add to my wardrobe, I automatically think of Normstrom Rack, especially this location. read more

I always come to Nordstrom Rack to get a new pair of sunglasses. Although this location has better stock, I rarely find something I like. In many ways, this place is hot or miss; sometimes you find a super cute dress and other times you walk out empty-handed. I am always surprised to see how busy this place is every time I go so, clearly, someone is finding good stuff. The last time I was here, I was able to get the boyfriend a new pair of sunglasses (surprise!) and we got them for a great price. I've been to a few racks and this one was just fine. People are friendly and the gigantic warehouse store was organized enough. It does definitely get busy and if you want to find the best items with the least amount of pushing around then I would suggest to go around the mornings when they've just opened. Btw they allow you to return Hautelook purchases here now. Whew! read more

Love Nordstrom but can be pricey, that's why I love coming here for the discounts! I really like the shoe section. I have small feet so seeing a fairly large selection of size 4.5 and 5 makes me excited. It's pretty well organized and not a complete mess like other discount stores, perhaps people are neater at Nordstrom Rack. The clothing is usually well organized by sizes. Then there are different racks by designer or junior sections, petite and plus size. I rarely buy clothing here though since it's a bit hard to find things I like. However their active wear section is pretty good! I got Nike dri-fit long pants for $20 not bad. read more

Came here to get some clothes for a wedding, and later a swimsuit. The store is very nicely laid out, and everything is decently priced. The customer service here is also great. If you are lucky enough to spot a green shirt employee they can check you out without having to wait in line. That being said, finding someone to help you can be a battle. The men's section had maybe one person working it. Overall it was a decent experience. I'll probably come back for cheap nicer clothing, but I would not make this a regular destination. read more

After scouring the downstairs (women's clothing and accessories) for a while and finding absolutely nothing in my size (little), I ventured upstairs, past the (small) men's section (and the surprising number of cute guys in the men's section) and the (completely uninteresting to me) kid's section, and into mecca -- the shoe section. There were so many shoes, tall ones and flat ones, bright ones and black ones. After wandering through aisle after aisle, I finally settled on some great 5-inchers for only $20!! And just in time for pool party season. I'll def be back. Bottom Line: Nordstrom Rack is like Ross with a higher price point. If you know how to shop bargain well, you'll do fine. read more

I liked this place back when it first opened and discounts were a lot better with more selection. A lot of the stuff I find here now are either pretty outdated or just not very deeply discounted. Many times I find better and cheaper stuff just by browsing nordstrom online in their sale section. The stuff here is decent but a lot of sizes can't be found and the selection is limited. A lot of the styles feel like they're a year old or something. I did find some shoes that I liked, but it was barely 15% off. Many of the clothes have that same discount rate as well. I would think out of season clothing should be discounted at a higher rate. The employees here are nice and willing to help, never really had any problems with nordstrom customer service - always top notch. The place is pretty big but with more things catered towards women (typical). I think ladies will have a more successful time shopping here versus guys. The ladies are always smiling in here, whereas the men are sitting in the corner pouting. (Semi joking) but there really is wayyyy more stuff for women. Overall, I would come here to walk around after dinner and browse but not really expect to find something I like. Occasionally you might find a hidden gem, be sure to snatch it up quick! read more

By far a way better location than Glendale. The staff is 100% friendlier and the place doesn't feel like it's messy or crowded (except for the kids' shoe section). If you are making returns though they have a separate line for just that (online and in store purchased returns). You can also just drop off your returns and continue shopping according to the sign and no need to bring your receipt just give them your email. read more

Meh. Messy, cluttered and limited selection. The prices are sort of discounted but not really. The workers shuffle around trying to pick up what the customers so carelessly leave all over the store: clothes tangled on hangers, food, trash, jewelry and so forth. I shop at this Nordstrom's quite a bit, I work around the corner. But this Nordstrom's caters to professionals, those who work in an office setting. It's more on the conservative side, nothing fancy, funky, over the top. In other words boring. My professional attire is well stocked. The shoes are hit and miss, I like a pair of stand out, to die for shoes. I never find them here (NEVER). But you will find all the black and beige shoes you desire. ( conservatives queens). My favorite Rack is Glendale ( if I'm in the mood for the rude environment) best shoe selection. I'm tired of the Pasadena store, I'm just not satisfied, happy with anything there. The store also needs a makeover. It looks like a Burlington Coat Factory, I'm always looking for a deal, but I find myself shopping at Nordstrom's more and foregoing the deal. read more

Always find some amazing deals here. I love getting awesome styles for a steal. They have a great selection of skinny denim from some of my fav brands like 7 for all mankind and levi. There is so many great items here, I have to make at least three trips to their dressing room each time. Upstairs they have half the floor dedicated to shoes. My last three shoe purchases have been from this Nordstrom Rack.  They also have a lot of great styles in my size! Looking forward to checking out their fall outerwear! I stopped shopping here for about a year now. They can thank Donna, Customer service MANAGER, for that. She's so rude. The rack has drastically changed their policy that no longer benefit the customers. You are NO LONGER able to return and re-purchase, holds are on an HOURLY-basis, not at the end of the business day, 90 day return, nothing you buy can be worn, especially shoes. So I had an issue with a pair of shoes. When I wore in the house, it felt fine. But when I wore it outside on the streets, it felt very tight. Brought it here to return and since it's worn, they do not accept worn merchandise. Donna comes into the picture and was very rude and un-empathetic about it. I told her I just bought it 2 days ago and she was like " I'm NOT MAKING ANY EXCEPTIONS, you cannot return this shoe." Called and spoke to the store Manager, Melanie and Melanie response was "You wouldn't want to buy worn shoes, do you?" Sure I wouldn't. But I know now I would not want to ever step foot into your store with your type of attitude. I will be calling corporate to inform that that these people have jobs because of customers like me, you and anyone who has shopped there. Please do yourself a favor and shop at the Nordstrom Rack in Glendale, you will find a wider selection and the MIC and employees there are much more friendlier than these snobby Pasadena employees at the Rack. read more

This Nordstrom Rack is 2 story huge. 1/3 of the upper floor is loaded with shoes. Where have you been? I'm in shoe heaven. They have many selections and a good variety of sizing. Why pay full price for the same items at the regular Nordstroms? Seriously, I have found the same styles here that are regular price still at the normal store. You just have to be aware that they may have items that were previously returned (in good condition) or even altered already. Still, if they want to sell me a pair of 7 jeans that are already conveniently shortened for my petite frame- I have no objections! And at sometimes HALF the retail price? Hell yeah. They also have a great selection of underwear and shoes in particular. Shoes seem to be an especially good buy. Need new athletic shoes but don't care if they're the newest model? Nordstrom Rack is really a hit or miss. Out of the 10 or so times I've been to this location, I've only bought something here once. And ended up returning it. I had found a Rebecca Minkoff Palo Alto/Mac Daddy for $170, which was a pretty good deal, but I decided I really didn't want a bag that everybody and their mother carries. Don't come here if you want luxury designers, because those items go to other Racks. The most expensive brands I've seen here in the handbags section is probably Marc Jacobs and Longchamp. If you're lucky, you'll find something you'll like, but for the most part, go in without any expectations! read more

The Hastings Village Nordstrom Rack in Pasadena is one of the biggest and busiest Racks I've been to. They are a two-story store, with Women's and Accessories depts on 1st floor and Men's, Kid's and Shoes depts on 2nd Floor, which all departments have a great selection of Nordstrom high-end quality at lower prices. I have bought designer clothing, shoes and purses from here at bargain prices. They have express mobile stations for quick checkouts, which is a plus; their lines at the front registers tend to be long constantly, especially when they have their Clear the Rack sales (an additional 25% off clearance items). They allow 15 clothing items at a time to try on in their fitting room. For those who have pets, this is pet friendly Rack, allowing customers to bring their dogs shopping with them. Great, friendly customer service. read more

I can't believe the service I recieved today! Had an emergency and needed to buy a dress for a dinner that was happening tonight. Not one associate offered help which is fine because I don't really care to be bothered when shopping. I found my dress, no problem. I purchased my dress and then took it back to the fitting room so I could change into it and the lady in the fitting room told me NO. I had to change in their FILTHY bathroom which is literally ten steps away. I can not believe that they would make a PAYING customer change in the bathroom, even though they just saw me try on the dress and then go purchase it. Never again will I shop here. Should have just returned the dress. I've recieved better service at a F**cking Wal-Mart. read more

this is a review just for this location i never really find any cute clothes for me here. however other nordies rack seem to have more cute clothes. but this place have a lot of cute shoes. so whenever i need new shoes this would be my go to place. they also have a lot of purses, and most of them are really cute and ridiculously cheap. recently i needed some nice big luggage cases that don't look lame, i came here and found some!! they were the weatherproof ones, it was 300 dollars for the original retail price, i got them for 100 each. the line's always long if you come here during the weekends. but the customer service are nicer comparing to general discount stores. read more
