3.5 After dinner, we were trying to figure out what shops were still open. Luckily for us, we got to Nordstrom Rack an hour before closing. They're open until 9 p.m. most days. This Nordstrom Rack is brand new. They share a parking lot with many other stores so it can be crazy. It wasn't so bad last night though. It's two stories so we headed upstairs first to look at the shoes. I walked away with a pair marked half off which isn't super cheap but better than paying full price, right? Wait, 50% is pretty damn good! Next we went to look at the cocktail dresses. Good lord, where did these ugly dresses come from? Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. And more Ugly. I advise you to stay away from the horrific prints, lace and weird taffeta frocks they have going on in the back. Walking over to the make-up section, I was pleased to see Stila and Smashbox. Most packages didn't look torn or bashed up. I was wondering though why they had this huge Ed Hardy glassware section. Wine glasses, shooters and cups. Um, no. The handbags weren't interesting enough for me to check out. It's a rather small section. On my way to pay, I spotted the Twilight: New Moon soundtrack that I, I mean, my "niece" had to um, have. It was $11.95 which wasn't too crazy cheap but it was an impulse buy. They had a few other current CDs for sale as well. I guess CDs are the new candy to put near check-out lanes. I'd come back for the shoes and makeup but skipping everything else. read more

I have been here several times thinking I'm gonna find great clothes but lately the clothes have been blah! I like clothing that has a little something "different". Maybe it's the season? Great deals at a lot lower prices over the retail department store. This location is very organized and the employees all offer the same great customer service which is nice. Lots of great designer options. I was in heaven finding Theory, Helmut Lang, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Vince, Marc Jacobs, etc. At the end of the day, I found a steal. A Vince Camuto pleated knee length skirt in rich plum for less than $15! I mean, it's an incredibly luxurious elegant, regal skirt, and I could not believe I found it on the clearance racks. What was crazy is the number of shoppers on a Friday morning. Unfortunately one woman with her two sons seemed to takeover the entire store. Wherever you were, you could hear her kids yelling and running around. Boo. The lines were crazy long and I was surprised people didn't know about the workers in the green shirts. Okay, I hate shopping. Like passionately hate shopping... But I looooove shoes. This store is like Shoe Heaven. They have the cutest styles in name brands (although I couldn't really care less about that aspect) for very decent prices. The selection is amazing. It's sort of like Ross, where you won't find the same pair of shoes in two consecutive sizes, but it's definitely a step up. Lots of marc jacobs purses, juicy couture purse/sunglasses, gucci sunglasses/watches, sky dresses, free people, tory burch, betsy johnson, BCBG, etc. Its 2 stories of goodies!!! 1st floor = women's clothing, accessories, jewlery, bed/home, fragrance, beauty products 2nd floor = men's clothing, women's shoes The parking can get pretty bad! Was never a really big Nordstrom Rack fan but this place is really great! Found some awesome deals here that I never thought I would have found, including: 1) Minimalist New Balance running shoes that were an extra 25% off so I got them for $15. I have worn them everyday for the past two years and they're still in awesome shape. 2) My husbands Steve Madden dress shoes he wore to our wedding. They were $130 but we got them for $60. He looked like a million bucks in tailored slacks. 3) A unicorn wine opener called the "Screwnicorn" 4) Shampoo and conditioner for a friends birthday. 5) Sevens jeans for the hubby. Damn you Nordstrom Rack. For being so close to me. I could have more in my 401K if I weren't so addicted to you. This place just gets me. There's always a nice selection of discounted, higher end brands, an okay selection of clearance items, and a freaking fantastic selection of shoes. The shoes always get me. Sure, I need flats in every color because they're 40% off! The staff members are always very helpful and very quick with check out, especially with the frequent long lines - the employees walking the floor can usually check you out right on the spot as well. Side note: Seriously about the shaking on the second floor though, why does it do that?! I was up there last night and for sure thought the big one was about to hit while I was in the shoe aisle. This one is located in a busy shopping center, so looking for parking on a weekend can be a challenge. However, it's fairly organized by Nordstrom Rack standards and has a good selection of clothing, bags and accessories. The home section is small and I found that their shoe selection left me a bit disappointed. I wear a 7.5 and I felt like there weren't that many shoes in my size that I liked. However, the staff is super friendly and I've never had a bad experience here - just disappointed I didn't find anything! :) read more

Newly opened. This store is really dimly lit for some reason. Lots of stuff on clearance (remainder from Christmas?). Not a lot of dresses and junior clothing though. Small selection of jackets as well. However, there's a large selection of cute shoes. Oh and practical shoes...like running shoes - of which I paid $40 for an Adias pair. Good stuff. The men's section is a bit wanting, the fiance + I wandered over there to look at ties and it seemed either everything good was already picked through or they just don't carry a good supply. Yay for finding deals! I hate going to Nordstrom because its exorbitantly expensive, so Nordstrom Rack makes it a little more bearable. I usually head to the second floor where the shoes are because they have aisles and aisles of designer shoes that I like to peruse through. The clothes I sometimes take a look through but they can still be pricey so usually I don't buy much there. Just left and let me tell you.... The fitting rooms are not clean and I got here early at 10am, it's now 11:45am as I write this in my car. Told the cashier as I was paying that I needed a gift receipt which she forgot (it happens) so she had to good the transaction re-ring it up and didn't give me the original receipt because it showed that I still had a balance on a gift card... I always keep the balance to verify what I have left. Instead of giving me the original receipt after I looked in the bag she told me that she threw it away in the trash because the transaction was viod and didn't bother to get it out. I used to really like Nordstrom rack, but lately it's been sort of a miss than a hit. I noticed that there is bias service coming from the pudgy - short haired blonde lady who works as a cashier. She discriminates against you if you don't fit her profile of a human being that she deems superior. She's been rude to me three times now, on three different days. On the first two days, she was just curt when she was "forced" to help me. I brushed it off thinking maybe she just isn't having a good day. On the most recent day, she walked off when it came time for me to pay ( I was next in line). But when I started paying with the cashier next to her after many minutes of waiting, she walked back when a gentleman by the "ethnicity/race" that she deemed "valued" walked by uttering the words, "Yes, sir, I can help you." I won't tell you the ethnicity - just stating the facts of what occurred that very day. I think after three times I felt like it was time to write something on Yelp. Although that is not the only reason why I would dislike a store (of course not for just ONE reason), I also noticed that the selection of clothing has sucked as of late. Prices are high and the quality isn't that great. Additionally there's ALWAYS a line in the front. I don't know why they don't have more people working upstairs to supplement for the long lines. read more

I didn't buy anything but I liked coming here. The women's stuff is on the ground floor and the guy's stuff is on the top floor. I can't comment on the ground floor since I didn't shop down there. I did walk through it, though. This place has an escalator to take you up to the top floor. As it should. I found a pretty good selection of pretty much everything there and a large variety. Everything seemed to be kept pretty tidy, too. I THINK the prices are good but I can't say for sure. There are some discount brands that I noticed. They've got brand name shirts, dress shirts, ties, shoes, suits, sunglasses and more. I think once I get a fatter paycheck I'll come by and make some purchases. Super wide variety of clothing and shoes for BOTH men and women. The men's got the upstairs. Good selection, especially for shoes. Jordan's and dunks for cheap(er). It's not a Big Lots, just keep note of that, but the prices are better than the regular Nordstrom though. Not as cheap as Ross, but they do carry a better selection of quality clothing. The bad thing about this place is that the prices are low enough for you to get crazy... fight the temptation! Buy only if you need it. I LOVE LOVE Nordstrom Rack! You can get designer clothes or items for a cheaper price than other places. Although some of the clothe, shoes or handbags are probably from previous season, still! It's a good deal! I usually get all my activewear here- especially Nike. They're relatively cheaper than Nike outlet as well. Oh! I absolutely LOVE their shoe section upstairs. I get all my heels from here since they're all so comfortable! They also have a lot of running shoes here as well. My favorite! The women's section is obviously bigger than the men's section. Almost more than half of Nordstrom Rack is for us ladies. Their handbags section is also awesome. They carry a lot of brand names such as Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Vince Camuto, etc. Their watches section have some awesome watches as well. Got my boyfriend a Movado for more than half off. I went to Nordstrom to check out the same watch and it was at retail price, so Nordstrom Rack is totally the way to go! I don't think you can ever go wrong shopping at Nordstrom Rack. Checking out is also easy, you can just go up to one of the staffs that wears a green t-shirt and you can pay with them if you have a credit card or debit card. So easy. I came here looking for a dress for an event which I did find! It was a great deal too! However, a friend of mine came with me and she couldn't find a dress. The selection wasn't that great. There was a wider variety of dresses to choose from in the garment district downtown! Also, I am not a fan of the store in general, the lighting wasn't that great, the shoe selection sucked! Shoe selection is a deal breaker. Generally, it didn't feel that clean. This is conveniently located and the parking is easy and Old Navy and Xi are right next door which help! Probably the most equipped Nordstrom Rack for my wrath! They thought of me when they laid this place out. Every single designer brand you can think of is here. Not just every single one, but the GOOD ONES. Gucci watch anyone? What about a 2,000 movado? Betsey bags? Betsey wallets? YSL bags? This is your place. It's new, very clean, and organized. For their opening they definitely anticipated a lot of patrons, and I reccommend going soon if you want to catch all the good stuff that nordstrom has to offer in their normal, full price stores. This Nordstrom Rack is pretty big...for women. As someone who shops at Nordstrom Rack often, I've been to my fair share of locations. This one had one of the smaller men's selection. I was also quite disappointed with their mens shoes offerings. That being said, the staff were really genial. They helped me find what I needed over the phone and helped me again when I went in store. Mmmmm....no. I'm used to the store in Glendale, in all its frenzied glory. Parking is a nightmare (it's like Christmas: no parking and insane people circling and honking) and it's just not that serious. The store is large (2-stories), but struck me as fairly dark and dismal. I didn't find anything on this trip and I won't rush back. One of my favorite places to shop! My mom was told about this place by my cousins, and we started going here a little over a year ago. Whenever we have time, we head here to shop. I really enjoy the selections! The last time I went, I was able to buy a Jack BB Dakota coat for $40, a huge fraction from what that brand would normally sell for. It's also located in Hastings Village, so you can head to Best Buy, ULTA, and Bed Bath and Beyond (among many other stores) if you need to grab something there The only problem is that it can get a little messy sometimes, but it is tolerable. The restrooms smell like hell, so make sure you go do your business beforehand. Shoe section isn't that wonderful, so it's best to come here if you're just looking for clothes or accessories. read more

Staff can be very nice or very rude depending on who's assisting you at the time. The older security guy by the door is always very friendly. I think he recognizes me by now since I'm a frequent shopper. However, my most recent shopping/return experience was a shock. I've never seen this woman named Nicole before. She was extremely rude from the very beginning. We all understand that this COVID environment can be stressful, but her attitude just made it 10 times worse. Racist. In the shoe dept upstairs today at around 1pm. I had 3 pairs of shoes that i was and did purchase that I set on the ground while I tried them on in front of a mirror and was on the phone. There were already other pairs of shoes that someone had left on the ground as well. Nasty employee comes up to tell me that while I can try on the shoes I can't leave them on the ground. Instead of offering me a bag she gives me attitude. I had my purse on the ground as well obviously I was not finished. Why would you assume I would leave those shoes there and that all of them were mine? Would you speak this way to me if I was a middle aged white lady?
