I needed to try on Petal & Pup to see the sizing for some upcoming weddings that I'll be attending. I found out Petal & Pup is one of their online brands and is not regularly stocked in the store. I didn't realize there was such a difference when filtering items online for pickup. The sales associates were SO helpful. They let me know that they might have some in the office area that were returns and found 2 for me to try for sizing. The dresses were perfect for trying out sizes but weren't the style I was looking for, but they made it easy for me to order online and feel comfortable about if it'll fit. They checked in on my while I was trying the dresses and were just genuinely nice to deal with. I forgot to get names but there were 2 that made it an enjoyable visit. Randomly was in the mood for risotto, then remembered Nordstrom's Bistro inside of their store in Kenwood typically had a killer entree of it! To my dismay, they've changed the menu around and removed the delicious dish. On the bright side, they had a few other options I enjoyed. I ordered the cilantro lime shrimp salad, with their crab bisque soup and a decadent chocolate paradise cake slice that sits in a pool of caramel sauce. Service was great and the food was on point. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had some weird particles floating in my water and never received my side of additional dressing. read more

This store opened in 1956 as a Pogue's department store. In 1983, L.S.Ayres opened following with JCPenney in 1988, and Parisian in 1993. When Parisian closed in 2007, it was demolished to make way for this store. With Nordstrom moving came two very nice KONE MonoSpace traction elevators. I have spoke of the outstanding customer service that Nordstrom (usually) provides. Well tonight was not a good night for that. I stood at the fine jewelry counter for 18 mins (I looked at my phone) the female working in that department made eye contact with me 2 or 3 times with out ever walking over to see if I needed help, which I did. While I was waiting she was walking up to people that had just strolled into the department and was asking them if they needed help. This happen 4 times while I was standing there. I did end up walking away without making a purchase. Nordstrom you can do better. read more

My wife and daughter had to check out Nordstrom's annual sale. They did have some pretty good deals! Best Customer Service! I purchased a jacket from Nordstrom and I was experiencing some abnormal wear, so I decided to visit Nordstrom's to see if anything could be done. When I went it, I didn't expect much to happen however I was pleasantly surprised. When I arrived I was immediately helped by Taylor King from the men's department and Kelly from the service experience team. They recognized that the item should have not worn the way it did, and they were eager to help. They called Nordstrom service and I was provided a full refund. Wow! Visited Nordstrom @ Kenwood after placing an online order with the instore pickup. You know, to get some early holiday shopping done. I entered from the main entrance from within the Mall and the pickup counter is conveniently located just inside along the escalator across from jewelry & shoes. The order was ready for pickup in less than two hours though I didn't pick it up until the next day. The process was super easy as it should have been. However, one of the three items I ordered was canceled because it couldn't be located. I was notified when the order was processed, so it wasn't a last-minute surprise. I then visited the jewelry department was greeted by Jacqueline who ask if she could be of assistance. At the time, I explained I simply was browsing and really waiting on someone else. However, I did locate two pieces in the counter that I had taken out to see and try on. It was a pleasure working with Jacqueline. She even took another look for my canceled item from my order, made sure I got my points on my store rewards account and offered gift wrapping. read more

I always come to Nordstrom when I'm at Kenwood mall. Whenever I come in I first check out the cosmetics department because Iike seeing all the perfumes and sampling some. I also like sample Saturday's at Nordstrom at Kenwood and the Easton location. It gives you an idea of which perfume you might like to buy in the future. My current preference is Jimmy Choo. Besides the perfume I always like seeing what clothes and shoes are in stock for the season. Although they are not in my price range it's fun to check it out. read more

When shopping at Nordstrom, it is more of a experience than any other department stores. They still have the high quality custom service that many places nowadays have cut back on or done away with. The store is beautiful, really. It is a pleasure to shop in. There is so much attention to detail by the staff, its wonderful and unexpected. There are personal shoppers/stylists, custom care in the lingerie department, and the shoe department is very impressive. Did you know that if you buy boots here, they will stretch them for free? If something you are looking for is not in stock they will have it shipped to your house for free. Shopping at Nordstrom is a treat, so I treat myself about once a year to a Nordstrom shopping experience. I needed new bras, always a dreadful experience for me. I arrived in the lingerie department which was busy on a Sunday afternoon, it is their annual anniversary sale, where most of the bras are half price & best time of the year to purchase good bras. I waited a few minutes and finally was connected to Mandy the assistant manager in the department. She warmly greeted me and went to a fitting room to get sized, which only took a minute, she then asked me what type I wear, any particular brands and went to work. She came back in a few minutes with a variety of options. Tried on a few, she went out to the floor & picked out a few more. We had a few picked out in under ten minutes. Quickly checked out, gave me her card if I had any questions, also if I got home tried them on and changed my mind they're happy to return them. So far a week later I'm pleased with the service & recommend anyone looking for new lingerie to ask for Mandy at Nordstrom Kenwood. I also highly recommend their personal shopping service, I needed a few dresses for a work event a few years ago, they picked a few dresses within hours and to top it off they were on sale. read more

This used to be one of my favorite Nordstrom locations, but for some reason, they're doing away with the several of the high end designers? I don't understand why Longchamp has assumed the position of other (and superior) designers. Oh, well. Maybe those designers would like their products to be less attainable. It sounds crazy from a business perspective, but when you're willing to pay thousands of dollars for a handbag, maybe making it only available at a boutique provides more exclusivity...who knows? Most of the time I just like to visit and drool. Above all, I love the employees the most. I've gone into this location looking like a hot mess and they still ask me if I have any questions or if I am looking for something specific. I have yet to be snubbed and I give them kudos for that. I'm not a fan of my first experience doing the order/pick-up option with Nordstrom, nor with my past several experiences at the shoe department. Most recently, I did the order/pick-up option, where I purchased a pair of shoes and a man's button-up shirt for an NYE party. While a purchase total of $260 for two items is probably not that much for an average Nordstrom shopper, I think it's a chunk of change to spend for the poor quality and packing. The man's shirt ($110) was just tossed into the bag - no tissue wrapping or boxing whatsoever. This was a nice, collared button-up shirt, thrown in the shopping bag in the same haphazard fashion as you would get at Kohl's or JC Penney's. CAVEAT EMPTOR, do NOT just pick up your items (curb-side or in-store) without checking them first! I opened the box of shoes ($150), which were sparkly Steven Madden booties, and the rhinestones were literally flaking off upon contact. And, one of the shoes was a floor model, and the sole was completely worn and you could see where the price tag was all scuffed and gross. I was shocked by the shoe issues and went to return them on the spot. A salesperson looked at the shoe and said that they had received a mass email that morning about that specific shoe model's defective issues. However that wasn't even my main beef - why would you try to sell a customer a floor model that was all scuffed up and worn? That seems sneaky and tacky. She even admitted that it was clearly worn and in worse condition than their typical "floor models". They did not have my size in stock and after looking at a larger size I could see where the rhinestones were flaking off with the slightest contact, so definitely a design issue. Which, if the product is so defective that internal is circulating a company email about it, they really should be removing it from the shelves. The one bright spot to this Nordstrom (and the reason why I am not giving them a 1-star rating) is that this is my favorite MAC counter to go to. The Nordstrom MAC's MUAs have been consistently friendly and helpful when I've shopped the counter. read more

I had a pretty good experience, so I thought I'd share. First, the prices are higher than your typical mall department store. But I think that's common knowledge going in. I was in the market for a really nice shirt and tie as a break from my usual wardrobe. I happened to go at the right time. I found a Nordstrom brand shirt that was very stylish and well-made on sale for about what you would pay for normal price at another store. I believe they called it the Anniversary Sale (so I'm guessing it doesn't come around very often). They didn't have my exact size out front, so the sales associate was very nice and looked around back for the right one and even sized me to make sure. She also gave assistance selecting a tie. I finally found a tie I liked with a price tag of $80. However she assured me it was on a table that should be on sale for 25%. When the price rang up for only $15 I couldn't believe it (and neither could she). There was no sign that it would be discounted so much. I'm not sure if they do that on purpose or just forgot. I just wish they had made it known because I almost didn't even bother! Overall I was pleasantly surprised and walked out with the perfect combo. read more

Examples: 1) Shoe shine service in men's department closed a few years ago. 2) Many of their sales associates seem introverted and not engaging - not very willing to assist customers, because they appear to be more focused on folding clothes, socializing with other associates, etc. 3) Not well stocked A bright spot is their Jo Malone department and its manager, Suza Geuss . I have been shopping at Nordie's for years. I'm from the West Coast, and was always hoping they would build one in Cincy. After living abroad, we finally returned to Cincinnati and were so happy that we finally had a store here! Well, I was happy - my hubby, not so much :o) Their customer service has always been top-notch. I will say, that over the years, this has declined somewhat, but I always love shopping there. I usually get a salesperson whose service is above average, but usually it is way beyond expected. I've had saleswomen at this store who have helped me shopped for just-the-right dress for weddings or vacations. We visited the Nordstrom at Kenwood Towne Centre (7801 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati OH) on 9/15/18 weekend in order to hem three pair of pants that we bought online (from another retailer). We went to the second floor ladies clothes department, saw a cashier and another staff standing next to the cash register. As the cashier was busy, we went to the staff member standing next to the register. We asked her if we could speak to a tailor regarding doing some alterations. Rather than getting us the tailor, we were fielded with questions which concluded with a condescending "we do not have an alterations department." We were asked if we bought the pants at Nordstrom. When we stated that we did not, we were told it will be costly to do alterations and that the alterations will not qualify for any specials. When we asked the woman how much it would be, she sighed and said she doesn't know. We again requested for the tailor so we could ask. Instead, she got the tailor on the phone and asked for the prices. She was surprised that it's only $10 to do alterations even when the merchandise is not from Nordstrom. Instead of conveying the message to us, she ended the conversation with the tailor by saying that she will call the tailor back if we need the tailor. We told her we needed the tailor and the staff asked my wife to follow her to the dressing room. I did not see the woman call the tailor back at all. After waiting for 5 minutes in the dressing room by herself, my wife came out and we went home. She didn't want to give any money to a store that would be so snobby and rude to us. Rather than having us seated by the chairs near the dressing area and getting a tailor initially, this staff was unnecessarily rude and condescending. There is no need for such snobbery and belittling attitude. We have been long time Nordstrom customers and simply needed a tailor to help us do some alterations and we also wanted to browse the store as well. After this experience, we are questioning if we even need to shop here anymore. Any establishment with staff this obnoxious to its own customers, does not deserve my business. read more

I had an alteration's person actually redesign the back of a top I had purchased, so that my bra strap would not show! I go to this Nordstrom roughly once every 2-3 weeks. I primarily purchase beauty products. I took a star away for the lack of plus size clothing options available on the floor, as well as the lack of high end purse options (my favorites being Gucci, Giorgio Armani, and Burberry; they have longchamp and Chloe in store). Items I have purchased include multiple hair products from oribe, bumble and bumble, and Moroccan oil, as well as beauty products from Giorgio Armani, Dior, Chanel, and YSL. The beauty representatives are very knowledgeable about their products. I purchased the Chanel and YSL products online. The Nordstrom website offers a different array of gifts-with-purchase and beauty products that you do not see in store. Every dollar you spend counts toward receiving a Nordstrom note which is similar to a gift card from my understanding. But I think you have to reach 2000 to get the note, so I may or may not get one during the time allotted for it. The store is clean and organized. Sometimes the floor staff can be a little aggressive, it is not a stretch to have 5-6 people offer you assistance on one walk through (so introverts and agoraphobics beware). Pricing you can find online, they are not discounted like saks off fifth or a factory store. The products are high quality. Parking is available around the store. Recommend! read more

I go to Nordstrom to buy bras. I have very limited options on where I can buy bras because I have a small waistband and large cups. Nordstrom has always been a true lifesaver. They measure you and take time making sure you have the perfect cut and fit. I am always blown away by their customer service. After gaining some weight and in *desperate* need of a new bra, I finally went and got sized today. Rebecca helped me and was so kind, professional, and helpful. When my husband and I walked in the shoe department, NO ONE came up to use to ask us if we needed help. Other employees were going up to other people and asking them, but no one of them came up to me. I had to say out loud, "Can someone help me?". Finally after yelling that, an employee finally came up to me. There were people that were just standing around, and completely ignoring us.
