This TJ Maxx is a little bit of everything. It's not the biggest location, but that actually makes it really easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed. It has a great mix of departments all together in one place. Sections include makeup, clothing, home goods, a small furniture selection, a pet section, and a men's section, and more. The clothing selection is pretty big too. There are tons of options like dresses, long sleeves, short sleeves, coats, and a few skirts mixed in. The store almost feels like a perfect blend between Marshall's and HomeGoods. There isn't too much of any one category. They also have a seasonal section, although it was pretty picked over. One thing I always check when I'm here is the clearance on the end aisles. Honestly, every time I stop in I end up leaving with way more than I planned to buy. read more

Huge. Nutso on the Saturday before Christmas. I don't know what I was thinking. Kid K needs a new Christmas outfit, and this was handy, and, well, I brought it on myself. Parking lot was dangerous. Crowded inside, hard to move sometimes. And very few Xmas outfits for kids, so we left as soon as we could. (Me with more urgency than K.) I'm sure on a quiet day it is a fun experience. I really enjoyed this TJ Maxx. I have been to a few other locations and this one seemed very clean and well organized. I was only in there for a short amount of time as I grabbed my items pretty quickly. The areas were neat and tidy, and I was able to find what I needed within a few minutes. I really like their makeup and beauty section. They have a lot of deals and great prices. I also like their selection. There is a tooon of stuff in that area and it's always fun to browse and buy things that I probably don't need. I would say this is one of my more favorite Tj Maxx's in the area and I would definitely come again to shop when need be. read more

Online it said they were open till 9:30pm everyday and so went in at 8 and an employee said they close in a couple minutes. the employees were pretty rude. As i walked out i decided I didn't want to buy the item I had anymore and the lady walks by me and says they're closed and she was very very rude! This TJ Maxx has one of the best jewelers counters. The amount of treasures I have found here is amazing. Just got some beautiful vintage looking Kate spade rose gold earrings for $10. Found what looked like an indie jewelers gold set from turkey for $12 for the earrings and $12 for the matching necklace. I deduct one star bc I do feel like this location is always messier than others. Clean, but messy clothing racks. The dress area is always a disaster. Still great though. Special shout out to Julie B., who despite being there since 7am, helped us out a the jewlery counter with a smile on her face, dealt with my many requests to see something, was respectful and kind to her coworkers even though she must have been exhausted as it was 5pm. Lucky for my pocket book this is my granddaughters favorite store, cause we hit it up for back to school bargains. She's quite the shopper, very aware of style and price tags. Without any prompting from me. We got bags full, and it didn't break the bank. And she will feel good about herself starting a new school this fall. That's priceless. read more

This T.J. Maxx location is located inside of a building that also holds a Michael's, HomeGoods and Marshalls. Even though T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods and Marshalls are owned by the same conglomerate, these three locations, in the same building, manage to have quite a bit of different merchandise/ different brands of merchandise. Out of the three stores, the T.J. Maxx is repeatedly the cleanest and most organized. When it come to winter holidays, there is a wide selection of holiday items. A large area in the center of the store was dedicated to holiday items and gift ideas through December 24th. That is on top of the gift items they have throughout the store. Clothing selection for children is larger than some other locations. There is a fairly diverse selection of brands. Located around the outside walls of the section are toys. Better deals on toys may be found elsewhere. Cashiers have a tendency to be friendly. It was fairly early in the morning during my first visit. As I approached the front of the line the cashiers were both finishing up with their customers. Both cashiers chatted with my youngest child while ringing me up. It has been slow during my subsequent visits. I have yet to see more than two people in line on any given weekday. read more

Since I couldn't find a Ross, I found the next best thing, a TJ Maxx. I was glad I did. They already had some of their Halloween things out and I found exactly what I was looking for, a new top, a pair of tweezers, a blemish remover and I might have bought some cosmetics - bare minerals highlighters, but I couldn't pass up the price. I don't think there is ever a time I went to TJ Maxx and walked out with a bunch of clothes. Maybe my timing is bad when I go. Nothing catches my eye and the clothes are still expensive. However, their active wear is reasonable in pricing and has a good selection. I will say that this location is very organized and the employees are really helpful and friendly. Today I walked out with a pair of jeans from the clearance section for only $15.00. I can't complain. It's a hit or miss with TJ Maxx, you leave with something or nothing at all. read more

The store was organized and had many clearance items when we went. My friend noted that she saw an item that she purchased elsewhere for a lower price. I usually have a great experience here but tonight changed my mind about that. I had to return a purse where the strap broke the first time I used it. First the good: I was able to return it. The bad was unfriendly, unprofessional and rude employees I had to deal with to do so, both cashier and manager. They commented loudly and condescendingly about how it was dirty. Yeah, because the damn thing broke and landed in the streets of downtown, what did you think? It broke and magically floated up for me to retrieve it? To be honest, I wasn't wasting my time to wash a purse I wasn't keeping. Then I guess when they figured out they had to reluctantly take it back, they met anything I said with silence, grunts or mmm hmms. Passive aggressive much? When I went to leave I hear the cashier hand the purse to someone else and say "This just needs to be...yeah...just look at it....ugh". Yeah, it's a dirty broken purse just freaking toss it out! No need to be snide about it. I left overall pretty frustrated and kind of angry. So I wouldn't necessarily tell people not to go there but just hope you encounter the right people read more

Not a bad TJ's location. I think the nicer stuff gets picked over quicker because it is in a fairly busy, higher end area of town. The store is large so there tends to be a fairly good selection overall. The staff does a good job of keeping it organized as opposed to looking like a tornado hit as many locations can. As with any TJ Maxx it can be hit or miss and id say ive had less luck here compared to others. read more

NICE STORE AND NICE STAFF! This particular store is located in the Kenmore area of Cincinnati along a stretch of road that has great shopping. It is unique because it is located on the second level of the shopping center and can be accessed via the escalator. It also appears to have been recently remodeled and I found it to be very clean and organized. There are completely stocked for fall in all departments including shoes and bags. Gray seems to be trending heavy this fall across the board and I love it. I just love to pair it with black, burnt orange, yellow and white. Also, the shark bite design for tunics continues to be very popular style primarily because it is very comfortable and can hide a multitude of flaws. I am also seeing lots of suede accessories. They have plenty of fall options for men. The housewares department has been transformed to your "fall decor" headquarters. If you like to decorate for fall and prepare a festive holiday table, now is the time to start exploring your options while supplies are still available. read more

Nice location with the same reasonable prices you expect from TJ maxx. They are great for any dog owners as there is a not insignificant pet section with lots of awesome holiday sweaters for your dog - though the sizing is generally slanted towards 15-20 lb range dogs which I perfect for me. They also have an awesome coffee mug section if you ever need a good thank you present for someone during peak hours today there was no large line buildup as the cashiers were incredibly efficient, the girl who cashed out my order was additionally super nice. read more

Went to this TJ Maxx for the first time tonight (I was an infrequent customer at the old location in Deer Park). Let's just say I won't be going here again. It sucked! Granted, it's the weekend before Christmas, but that shouldn't make a difference. I had purchased some men's socks at another location a couple days before and wanted to get some more. This store had men''s socks on multiple displays, but the biggest display of the type of socks I was looking for was a bin. I know TJ Maxx is supposed to have good prices, but I don't expect to have to dig through the bargain basement bin of socks. The worst thing was (besides digging through the socks to not find any suitable ones) was that socks were falling out of the packs, so you could be missing one or a pair. Additionally, the pack of socks I did want to purchase didn't have a price and was the only pack like it. The only other merchandise I looked at was the pet supplies. They had a terrible selection and not very many doggy clothes. I would think, due to the location and it being relatively new, that this TJ Maxx would be BETTER than the others and stocked with more and better merchandise. NOPE! What a huge disappointment and a complete turnoff to ever returning to this particular store. read more

Went to return a long champ bag with tags still on it and the original receipt, but was told I couldn't do so though the bag showed no signs of use. Ridiculous that I wasn't allowed to return the item even though I had the original price tag on the item and receipt! They had taken the red tag off of the item at purchase that was necessary for the return though I was told that they weren't even allowed to do so. I'd stay away from this tjmaxx! read more

This is for the Rookwood Pavilion location. Two days ago I went shopping there for items for myself and my daughter. After spending about an hour there looking for things and trying things on, I decided to put my items on hold (about 7 sweaters and a pair of boots). The guy who seemed to be in charge told me I could hold them through the next day, but beyond that he had no control and they would just put everything back. I said no problem that I would come back that day or the next to pay for the items. Yesterday morning I went back to get my items, and they had nothing but the boots. I was fuming since the guy who told me I had until the next day was standing there but took no responsibility for his actions. The manager there yesterday stated that the people who took my items and put them on hold didn't write the date, so they put the items back!! They attempted to reassure me that they would send someone to help me find my items. How were they going to manage helping me to find 7 different sweaters? I was so furious but decided to quickly take a look to see if I could find anything. As I was shopping they sent a girl to help who was asking me for the brands and information for 7 sweaters! I assured her she wouldn't be able to help me do this, and that it was a very difficult task. In retrospect, the workers made two horrible errors, disregarding the customer. The guy should have of course written the date on the tag of my merchandise. But then, on top of it, they should have waited at least 24 hours before putting back the merchandise without any date! They should have erred on the side of the customer and given the customer a chance to claim their items for at least 24 hours! The customer service here was horrible on multiple fronts. So, I was super frustrated that I only saw 2 of the 7 sweaters, and decided kibmo0-miFwyn-damxoqto leave since I was having such a horrible shopping experience and I didn't want to waste any more of my time. I went to purchase the boots and 2 sweaters and the guy at the register was the one who had originally taken the items from me, and didn't write the date on them. He told me he would give me 10% off, and asked if I wanted to do any further shopping knowing I had this discount. I was so furious at this point, I just wanted out of there. Nobody this whole time seemed genuinely sympathetic to the time and merchandise I had lost with this whole debacle! I told him I just wanted to pay and go. I tried to keep myself calm but was obviously upset. After ringing me up, he sarcastically stated for me to have an awesome and wonderful day, as if I was at fault for being upset!! Look, I love TJ Maxx and will definitely go back because of the prices and convenience for me, However the customer service experience I had will keep me away for a while until I can put it behind me. It is a nice store overall. They have some good deals on Polo, Calvin Klein and Lacoste shirts. They have some nice shorts and pants from Haggar and Izod as well. Awesome prices, beats Macy and Nordstrom's every time. They have a lot more sizes now as well. Good store and good deals. read more

I asked the cashier to remove a few things and while she was waiting for someone to come help her, she told me that next time I should bring a calculator. It was very condescending and unnecessary.
