So this is the 4th Costco location my fiancée and I visited the past couple of months. We are new members and already love it. My friends rave about this location and I can see why! We definitely saved the best for last. This Costco has a liquor store separated from the main building. It's on the front entrance to the left. So many great deals! We ended up getting tequila, scotch whiskey, red blend wine, and bourbon. All at a great price! The main store is the same set up like the others but this has more to offer. Better selection for electronics, home, furniture and appliances. They offer more samples, more variety of products and clothes. They have a pharmacy, tires, home remodeling, optical and hearing center. Also their food court is always solid. My fiancée and I always have lunch whenever we pay them a visit. We spent a couple of hours and purchased some great deals. What a great experience! I would say this and West Chester locations are my favorite by far. read more

This is officially my favorite Costco location in the greater Cincinnati area. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the selection is exactly what you would expect, the prices are always good, AND there's a liquor store attached to this one. I was amazed by the prices and massive selection in the liquor store too. How many places can you get a 1 liter bottle of top shelf reposado tequila for $13? You simply cannot beat that price. We're definitely coming back here to restock our libations. read more

I am a household of one and I shop here weekly... it can be done, trust me! There is an art to portioning out stuff to use (like food) and I have yet to beat the pricing of some of the home products and clothing. The employees here are quite pleasant when I have had to ask for something. The food court, as others have mentioned is an inexpensive and sometimes much needed quicker picker upper after shopping and before the next meal of the day. While all Costco stores are not equal, the stock and pricing here seem to be more in line with the stores across the river in Ohio. What I mean by that is when I go down to Lexington or Louisville there may be a variation on prices (the infamous death star) that do not exist here. Go there on the weekend and its sometimes like driving in New York City, but if you go during the weekday afternoons its quite manageable. Beware, on the days before a major holiday (think Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas) its packed like Los Angeles traffic on the 405, so you may have to wait for bakery items, but in our experience it has always been well worth the wait. read more

You can't beat many of the values at Costco. Of course you've got to buy in bulk or large sizes in many cases. The products, for the most part, are on par with more traditional stores. The weekend crowds are awful, but the staff works them effectively. My only negative would be the lady we dealt with at the membership desk. We were using a gift card to renew a really old membership and the woman turned on the heavy used car salesman shtick. It was awful. read more

There's nothing quite like a good Costco run. From the samples and sales, to their signature $1.50 hot dog and drink combo - I always leave this store with a smile (and a considerably lighter wallet). Speaking of the food court - I'd like to shout out some stellar service last Friday night. I, like many of the other shoppers, decided my shopping trip wouldn't be complete without a whole pepperoni pizza to-go. At $9.99 a pie, this is a total steal. I was alerted that wait times may vary when I placed my order, and I did indeed wait around 20 minutes. But I didn't mind at all - because the crew behind the counter was hustling hard, and doing the best they could on a busy weekend evening. I opted to drop my groceries in my car and then come back in to pick up my pizza, which worked out perfectly timing-wise. By the time I got home, my pizza was still hot! Even though it was worth the wait, I did take note of their call-in ordering option, and will probably do so when I arrive at the store, so I still have plenty of time to shop before picking up my pizza. This Costco can get pretty busy - especially since it's one of the only locations for miles. If you want to avoid the crowd, I suggest stopping in on a weekday evening (mid-week is probably best). I avoid visiting on Sundays if at all possible - there's a mega-church next door that they share much of their clientele with. Similarly, this location gets pretty packed throughout the month of December. read more

This location always delivers. The quality of the merchandise at Costco is always top notch, and if for any reason it's not, the service is even better and they will work with you with a smile. The fresh cut meat at the meat counter alone sets this Costco above the rest. Consistent cuts and quality of beef. Always a good selection of prime grade cuts that can be really hard to find in other stores. The fun part of visiting Costco is always finding those limited time or special buys. The Florence location also features a liquor store. Their house brand box wine is an incredible value, and there are some other gems as well. You may even get lucky and find a hard to get bottle of bourbon on the shelf! Quality, service, fun surprises. What more could you ask for? read more

The customer service is horrible. You can't save the membership to Apple wallet. You can't log in and shop on more than one device. I literally am bound to my phone since I need the membership card with me and if I try to log in at home on my iPad it says I can't unless I transfer my membership to the new device and remove it from my phone. I need strong data on my phone to pull up the membership when I am at a Costco location since I have to use the app and not my Apple wallet. I couldn't do that last time so I had to go home since I couldn't pull my membership up (Verizon was throttling). I tried to take a screen cap to prevent this in the future but I couldn't, it blocks that feature. I can't buy my husband or kids glasses at Costco because I'm the member and only I am allowed to get myself glasses (membership name must match prescription). They have no teacher benefits or discounts. I do like the product quality though. I will go back to Sam's next year though. Costco just makes everything so hard and inconvenient. read more

I had only been here once a long time ago and upon friend's recommendation went back to check it out again! This is a newer warehouse and its layout is somewhat different from others. I found them to have items that other locations had been out of for months!!! I also found that for some reason their prices were cheaper on some items that I regularly buy (not to mention sales tax is less in KY). The employees here were very nice, everything was well organized, and shockingly it wasn't crowded! For the first time I decided to try the food court everyone raves about because I was waiting out a severe storm. I had the chicken bake which is almost like a stromboli, 12" Italianish crust filled with chicken, bacon, and cheese. At 2.99 it's a yummy deal you can't beat! Also, checkout the liquor store which is separate due to KY regulations (to the left inside entrance). The best thing is their top tier gas that is always 20-30 cents cheaper than surrounding gas stations! read more

We had 14 of our small parakeet and my parrot die of intoxication just few minutes after we microwave the chicken. They should have a warning to bird pet owners. As far as wholesale shopping experiences go, I think Costco has about perfected the experience. I don't benefit as much from the wholesale food items because I don't have enough mouths to feed before the food would go bad. However, I definitely take advantage of the nonperishables, clothes, liquor store, gas, tire center, etc. I really like the clothes section. The options are forever changing and there are some pretty good brands represented, including Eddie Bauer, FILA, Adidas, Levi, Banana Republic, Spyder, etc just to name a few that I've seen. Please note, this Florence location has a liquor store and you do NOT have to be a Costco member to take advantage of the discounted alcohol prices. Also, to really get the best bang for your buck with Costco, I recommend getting the Citi bank card, as well as utilizing the Costco app, including the travel offerings (ie discounted car rentals, hotels, travel packages). Costco has relationships with some car dealers who agree to provide no haggle pricing. However, I've never used this and I'm not sure if it is as good as it was once described to be due to the pandemic, chip shortage and overall issues with auto industry and price hikes. I probably sound like a Costco spokesperson. I'm not paid or sponsored in any way. I just really enjoy Costco. I've been to other wholesalers, I have a particular one in mind. As far as everyday shopping for groceries goes, the experiences are pretty similar. The beauty of Costco is in all of the extras that you might not initially know about. One thing I dislike is that online pricing for items is generally a couple dollars higher for the same item. They claim that this is due to shipping and handling but competitors also deal with S&H and don't have different in-store and online pricing. They also offer military sign up discount for those that qualify. Check it out. Don't forget to grab one of those giant hotdogs or some pizza. I doubt you'll be disappointed. read more

No where in Costco website does it state that certain produces like jewelry has to be returned within a certain time frame. It clearly lists electonics and certain products should be returned within a certain time period. When I tried to return my necklace due to bad design with my receipt and certificate they declined to take it back stating it is too old to be returned. The jewelry is flawed and flips to show the back and i did not notice it until I had a chance to wear it and I realized the flaw when others told me that it was flipping. Tried contacting the store and the corporate office . Both of them declined stating that it is too late. I think Costco is using unfair business practice in not laying out the return policy clearly and category wise. read more

I had a membership with this location when they first opened around 2015. It was lovely with kind employees, helpful guides to know what to expect at checkout and how they differed when it came to the membership system versus a regular grocery store, and an overall knack for customer service. Prices were great and my family was happy. I canceled a couple years later due to budget constraints only, no issues with the company. However, that sentiment has entirely changed in 2022/2023. Both of the women working the Membership counter in the evenings absolutely should not be in customer service in any way. Rude, mumbling under their breath, rolling their eyes, talking to each other about how sick of their job they are. One of the employees had the nerve to accuse me of lying my membership status when in reality she had me mixed up in the system and didn't apologize when proven incorrect. Overall, customer service is poor in all areas of the store. I witnessed a stocker berate a customer for standing to the side on her cell phone when she was looking up an item on Costco.com. As long as that customer isn't in anyone's way, it's no one's business what she does on her phone. Don't take your frustrations out on innocent parties. I've worked retail half my life and know better than to treat people like this. TL;DR: Store has gone downhill, crowded with rude employees and apparent management issues causing rude behavior from staff. read more

I have been searching for lean, delicious, non-gamey lamb between Lexington and Cincy and I finally found it! Yesterday I found lamb in the fresh meat section of Costco in Florence along I-75, bought it, brought it home and cooked up the chops -- FABULOUS!!! Nothing at Kroger, Whole Foods or elsewhere in Northern KY tastes this fresh and good! Check out their fresh meats -- and SEAFOOD! They have great extra large shrimp and awesome COD!!! Of course it's bulk, but portion it out and freeze for a spur of the night dinner. You won't be disappointed. read more

I am not a member but do make the drive for the Liquor and Wine. Service is amazing as I am greeted warmly by the staff. They often ask "is there anything you need help with or do you need suggestions." Quite a 'team in liquor; Tony, Diane, Lou, Nathan' They are friendly and helpful with suggestions, they offer their perspectives on the products, the value as well or when a Wine or Bourbon is being discontinued or is limited release. " They 'know bourbon' " When I check out everything I purchase is packed up with "anti clanking " so never a challenge getting my purchases safely to my car and home. Does anyone remember. I actually stopped while driving through town because I was having an issue with my tires and had bought my tires at my local Costco. The guys in this tire center were absolute jerks and refused to help me. I arrived at 10 AM and they told me that I could sit around until maybe 6 o'clock and they could get to me. This is my go to store for shopping. I always buy more than I need but exactly what I want. I love their selection of organic and uncommon products that are super awesome! The store is always clean and the staff nice. The parking lot can get busy but I think that's just a standard part of every Costco store. This one is a little different in that they don't sell liquor inside because of Kentucky state law but they actually have a separate liquor store in front that you go to after the fact. I will definitely be going back to the store every other week for probably the rest of my life. read more

I was a member for years I loved that store. Then I had a customer service representative cheat me on my return. I had eye surgery and I made a mistake of telling her I couldn't see. The same representative did the same thing three times. I told the manager Todd and Brad . I even ha a customer service manager tell me that I ate half loaf of bread before I brought it back. She embarrassed me. Of course I didn't the bread was stale. I did receive my money back? The visit with the third refund Todd gave me back my money. Brad would act like he was going to talk to me but he would answer when I called him back. I guess because I'm elder they treated me like I was dirt. I was followed around the store by security? The last time I took back around chuck because it was topped with beautiful red meat then the middle was brown. I turned in my card. Todd a manager got a person from customer service that was not nothing but an employee acting ! I know that because when I went back in the last time I showed her card. I was so embarrassed plus I'm physically sick. I was so upset. One more thing my cold bag that the customer service representative kept. Todd wouldn't get me another one? Goodness I love Costco! I was a Costco member about 20 years ago when they first came to town. Then Sam's Club opened five minutes from my house, so I switched over. Sam's never lived up to Costco's standards, but it was thirty minutes closer. Finally Sam's closed my location and back to Costco I went. Man I missed it even more than I thought. We get everything we can from birdseed to car rentals and everything inbetween at Costco. This location also has a booze store that carries the best Kirkland boxed wine that a girl could want! I could spend days at a Costco store, and since it's a bit of a drive it feels like a special occasion when we go. Love it. read more

I visited both Sams Club and Costco on this particular day. I have membership at Sam's and thought I would just compare both. I like both and this was just a snap shot of one moment in time, howeverI was so impressed with the customer service at Costco that I purchased a $60.00 membership. This membership really did not cost me a dime since I purchased two $100.00 gift cards to O'Charlies for $140.00. This restaurant is close to my home and my adult children like to eat there when they visit me. Sam's club also has the same offer, but their membership cost is $100.00. I really like purchasing these gift certificates from both Sam's and Costco. This will pay for your membership fees. Today at Costco I noticed how everyone made a conscious decision to speak and help me. Loraine is the perfect person to have at the membership booth. She started conversation about my shirt and before I left we both knew each other like we were old friends. At one point Loraine knew that I was having trouble reading some information so she offered me some reading glasses. I gladly accepted them. She told me she always keeps them for people like me. I told her I have written a few books on customer service and she hit many of my major points like form relationships with guest and always try to give a little extra. I did not tell her I was a Yelp Elite, but wanted to write this post on her behalf. Loraine is the type of person any leader would want on the front line with customers. At checkout there were plenty of clerks...unlike Sams Club on this particular day. The clerks who checked me out were very pleasant and did their best to strike up a conversation with me. The store was very clean with good signage both inside and outside the store. The shelves were all well stocked. The meat selection seemed a "cut above" Sam's... pun intended. I did purchase a huge chicken pot pie (see picture) and fed four people with plenty left over. It could not have tasted better. I look forward to trying many of the other meat and salad selections. Lastly, Costco was the first large store to require face mask during the Covid-19 Pandemic. They took the criticism first and now all companies and most states have the same requirement. Because of Costco's focus on safety and service, the stock price continues to soar. Besides a great place to shop for groceries and clothing, investors have made a lot of money with this stock. Trying to post a photo of my newly opened package of ghastly midget Brussels sprouts packaged -- organic -- for Cosco by 4Earth Farms. Shame the photo won't download, because you'd enjoy (or perhaps dread) seeing these tiny (lady-finger sized) Brussels sprouts and the Chain-Saw Massacre dirt and warping of the poorly nourished children of grown-up, real Brussels sprouts. I photographed them -- cut open autopsy style to reveal the blue-bruised innards -- along side a US currency 25-cent coin, so you'd see that few in the bunch excel the quartet coin in width. I have been to some of the fanciest top restaurants in the US and abroad and I'm not too proud to admit Costco's food court is my number one guilty pleasure. Costco's cheese pizza is my favorite pizza IN. THE. WORLD. Did I use Costco to cater my last birthday bash? Yes I did and I will do it again for my wedding. For just $10 you can feed 2 families of four and their fountain drinks are $0.59. If you are in need of a fine dessert I highly recommend the strawberry sundae. Exquisite on the palate, with a smooth taste and sweet finish. For $15 two grown slightly hungover hungry adults were full and unable to finish 1/2 of our food. I have no regrets and will keep professing my Costco love to anyone willing to listen. I do love this Costco as it's 10 minutes from my house in Florence, here in Kentucky. And it's got earlier opening hours than I was used to in Florida and California (9.30 am, though that could have been a chain change since living in those places recently). Be careful of the caloric intake at the food court. And I mean it. The hot dogs will set you back your FULL salt intake for the day, and I don't mean to ruin that for you guys. I still get one for the impossible deal and split it with someone, I'm on a salt strict diet I sometimes cheat on. Lots of water drinking later. Ask for onions or sauerkraut when ordering and they'll give you a small container of either or both. The deals are constantly rotating but one of my favorites is the Kombucha of G&Ts for like $9 when on sale (this month July 2018) for 6 bottles. Also salad packs are large and only $4 to $5 dollars. Easy for quick salads and entertaining. Dips are huge, but you can also get a big thing of celery, baby carrots, and broccoli - all also good for entertaining on the inexpensive. Leftover veggies are great made into all things soup and salad. The cheese selection is awesome, always. And if you don't go at peak times (right after everyone gets off work or later in the days on the weekend) you're in and out really quickly. This is quite a new Costco. To note: I tried to use my fiance's card once when he wasn't with me and I'm not on our account, our roommate is, so I got denied. So always have the person with you that is pictured on the card, sad face! We're checking into if I can be put as a name additionally atm as we don't need more cards for the house, this seems ridiculous. But overall, we always buy too much here so thankfully have car space and two fridges and I'm constantly cooking. The other thing I love is that they have bacon that is applewood smoked, I'm not a fan of hickory. Sorry, Eastern/Southerners. I'm from California and love my applewood, even winning rib competitions with it. Either way, certain items can be hit and miss (like breakfast burritos and kombucha brand) but there are plenty of every day reliable items and great deals to keep you coming back again. How about the $12.99/bottle 1.7L six times distilled vodka (I researched they produce in France)? A great mixer but also not too harsh on it's own. And a lot of other great alcohol and wine deals. Oh and I always buy a flat of Izze sodas. The whole "family" of us roommates love mixing them or drinking them all the time for the juice bump when blood sugar runs low. They are smaller cans. Let's talk about ridiculousness. Tried calling the Tire and Service Department 4 straight days. Nobody ever picked up. Only called because the online appointment maker was not working. In the store today and stopped at the actual Tire and Service Department to make an appointment to rotate my tires per my warranty for tires I purchased at this Costco. Two employees can't figure out how to "schedule" me and told me to download some app I don't want after repeatedly telling them I just need to make an appointment while I'm standing right here. How hard is that? Apparently very hard. They acted like their collective heads were going to explode. It was too much for them to make an appointment for me? Wow. Ridiculous. It's my Costco store i regularly go since my daughter got me the membership and then i got their Citi credit card. I love to go there, as it seems have a lot of space, great selection, and they have more organic snack than Kroger or Sam's. My daughter also recently changed tire in Costco with the best price compare with all other stores on same tire! This Costco is also pretty close to my home, so i could visit there at least on weekly basis! I haven't tried their travel package yet, look forward to do that after this Coronavirus thing is done. I'm not Costco member, but I have a friend who is and I accompanied on this trip and covertly made purchases through my inside connection (pretty sneaky, huh?). I've thought about becoming a member, because I've really liked coming as a guest, perusing the choices here (it's fun to see/try new things I can't find at my regular grocer)... however, it's hard for me to justify a membership as a single person and it's rarely necessary for me to buy bulk quantities of most items. It's also pretty easy to rack up a high bill when you visit as most of the products tend to have a ~$10 price tag because of the higher quantity. If I lived with others/had a family, then I would definitely become a member. The staff here are super friendly. There are cardboard boxes available to pack up your things in, but it's also a great idea to bring your own larger bags as well to make things easier at checkout. Will I be a member of Costco? Maybe at some point... until then, please don't report me to the Costco police. read more

If I could do a review with no stars I would.....Terrible customer service!! Today my wife took me in to get a membership card made. I was next in line to be helped when a clerk asked me to step down to the other end of the counter. She told me that is where the line is. So, I did as asked. They proceeded to take people that came in after me from the other side of the counter and left me standing. My wife went in to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy. Apparently the prescription wasn't called in. The pharmacy clerk spoke to her like she was a child and treated her with total disrespect. We are asking for a refund for the membership and for the future we will be shopping Amazon or Target.. Not Costco! Don't waste your money... There are better places to shop.. read more

Stephanie the pharmacist took the time to review our prescriptions and assured we also had the best price. I was hesitant to move from the pharmacy we had been using for the past 8 years but everything went smoothly. The Costco professionals made the transition easy. read more
