Came to this Hot Topic when I was visiting the mall. The Hot Topic was having a great deal on their…read moreshirts which attracted me to come in but usually they always have great deals every month if you visit Hot Topic generally. I didn't like the lay out of the store honestly. Store felt a bit claustrophobic. Store definitely does have alot to offer and is generally full of people. Staff was friendly none the less.

They offer a a variety of band t-shirts that line the walls. They sell music, accessories, candy, magazines, and all sorts of clothing. The workers are always extremely friendly and helpful. Sometimes Hot Topic will run sales that are %50 percent off their clearance section, that's always a fun time to pick up gifts.

The racks are so full that you cannot move the hangers to view the inventory, and as result, the clothing often falls off the hangers. Prices seem to have increased. The clearance discount has evidently changed, though that is not communicated anywhere. During my most recent visit, the air was off and the store smelled like dirty feet making for an even more unpleasant experience. My tolerance for the temperature and odor quickly waned upon learning that the air conditioning was not just malfunctioning, but was deliberately turned off at the preference of the new owner... Never mind offering customers a comfortable shopping experience.

That changed a few years back, now it's a overpriced merchandise and underpaid employees that don't want to go above and beyond. That would be okay with me if they didn't decide to do things like randomly close the store 2 hours prior to their stated closing 5 days before Christmas (closed at 7, store supposed to close at 9). They went around the store for 15 minutes yelling that everyone needed to get their stuff, pay and leave. If this is the type of way FYE management and corporate seek to do business, then they've lost a longtime customer permanently. We'll see this chain go down like all of the other overpriced retail stores in recent years.
