The girls working at Aerie were less than friendly and didn't say anything to us as we walked around. One stared at me while my daughter was looking around, but never said one word. I thought it was odd. The American Eagle workers were quite the opposite and super friendly. Hopefully it was just an off day for those Aerie workers. My tween loves the clothes and I don't mind the pricing.

Well stocked, especially on Black Friday. They were also the second cleanest store we visited that day. First place went to their sister store Oshkosh. These two stores seem to be being well managed. They were clearly prepared for the holiday shopping rush. Points may be earned through their rewards program. The program is good at Carter's, Oshkosh and Skip Hop. One point is earned for every dollar spent.

It's safe to say the Eastgate South location does not measure up. I walked through the store gathering things I wanted to try on, no one offered a fitting room. There were three sales associates chatting behind the counter. Finally someone was told by a manager to go ask if I needed a room, she did not take the clothes from me and start a room, I had to walk back there, hang everything up myself and then return to my shopping. While trying on clothes, no one checked to see if I needed another size. Every Torrid store I've shopped in previously always started a room for me right away and took the clothes back and always checked on me in the room. All sales associates seemed very grumpy and acted like helping customers was a burden. I spent over $500 and did not feel like I got the service that goes with pricey clothing.

I have spent thousands of dollars in that store and shopped almost purely at Torrid. I had a credit card of $2,550. Never have I missed a payment or been late. I paid almost the whole card off in June. I went in today and spend TWO hours finding and trying on clothes. I had $350 in Torrid Cash (because I shop there so frequently). When it was time to check out, my card wouldn't go through. When I checked it again my credit limit had dropped all the way to $100. I never was notified through email but apparently it was sent. My credit score was not low. It's not even like they dropped it a small amount. They dropped it $2,450 since June. When the employee tried talking to the company on the phone they basically told them I had to call the loan company to ask why my limit was dropped BY them instead of just telling her on the phone! I threatened to close my account instead of pay for the $700 worth of clothes today and the company didn't care. The employee even vouched for how often I shop there. Torrid lost a very loyal and frequent customer today. I will be paying off the small remainder of my card and shopping elsewhere from now on. I have suggested to A LOT of my friends and family to shop there. I even told someone and convinced them the other day when they thought it was too pricey. No longer. I'm a teacher who doesn't get my next paycheck until late August who needed to use her credit card for new school clothes. It's so upsetting they would do this to me. It was embarrassing to have happened in front of multiple customers. I will be telling my friends and family not to support this store along with my social media following. What a shame.
