Last time I came here to buy my boyfriend some Sperry's and the sales associate was very polite and not too pushy even though I look like a little asian teenager that's just browsing. It took me a couple of visits to finally decide on buying it but the same guy helped me both times. Not only that but he gave me a gift receipt and I didn't even have to ask which was lovely. :) Also, it was very clean and easy to find what I needed, and if I couldn't find it, there was someone there would could help me. I love Nordstroms! They have the best policy towards customers hands down. I bought a pair of shoes for my girl at $79.99 which is quite expensive for a 2 year old. I bought it for the next season because it was on sale so it sat in the closet for close to 10 months. She wore it for about a week. It really did not fit her right as one of her foot is slightly pigeon toed. She ended up with blisters. I called nordstroms and they said to come back..They took it back without any questions and we exchanged it for another pair-cheaper and a refund in a gift card. My husband also came here and bought two pairs of sandals. One of them they did not have in his size so the sales clerk ordered it and shipped it DHL for free---we got it in 3 days! This review is particularly for the upcoming Nordstrom Anniversary Sale beginning July 17 - August 2, 2009. I love Nicole, my salesperson at the Chanel counter at Nordstrom. I followed her from the Americana Nordstrom to Santa Anita. This store is terrific. Love the shoe department. I've also bought evening wear here. Highly recommend. BTW did you know that Nordstroms will split a pair of shoes? My mom had polio and her feet were 3 sizes different. I think the difference must be 2 sizes. Anyway, they charge for one pair of shoes. No one else that I know of does this. read more

This location is nice! I was in the area so I decided to stop by the local Nordstrom at Santa Anita & was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted on the way in and stopped first at the kids shoes section. The man was very friendly and initiated conversation. It's nice to see a sales person talk about something other than trying to make a sale. Then I went up to BP clothes & the sales associate was very helpful there as well. Her name was Emily. She opened the fitting room door for me & admired one of the shirts I brought in. Unfortunately nothing worked for me but she was lovely. Lastly I went to the women's Topshop area, where I believe her name was Amanda helped me. She was very busy being the only one in the dept but she explained to me that she didn't mind & enjoyed it since sometimes the store can be dead at times. Overall my trip here was great. Very friendly staff & nice product. One star off because I was so confused with their layout. It's so different from the other stores south of this one. Wanted to buy some clothes that were on the anniversary sale and they force you to get a Nordstrom card before you can purchase the items. What!? What kind of nonsense is that? They literally forced me to get a Nordstrom card by having me fill out the membership application and submit information from my drivers license. They had me wait at the register while they call the application processing center to get approval for a card. I don't need a Nordstrom card. I just want to get in, purchase the items upfront with no questions asked, and get out. Customers' time are very important. Don't waste their time by having them stick around for something they don't need. Worst customer service from a department store ever. I have never been required to get a membership card before purchasing items ever at a department store. I give you the cash or my credit card, you get the easy revenue, and I am out of there with my items. But no, they made it become an extreme hassle by having me stick around for this unnecessary nonsense. I won't be returning to a Nordstrom again. There are plenty of good stores out there that don't do things like this to a customer that has upfront money. Most of Nordstrom's clothing are made in China anyway. read more

The selection at this Nordstrom is pretty good. I'd have to say they carry everything that I buy and they're almost never out of what I need. Its very clean store and well organized as with most Nordstroms. The only downside I'd have to say about this place is that the customer service isn't as good as others. I went in for the Anniversary Sale. I'm used to people asking me if I needed help or offering me assistance while I browse. Here I was not approached. Several associates walked past me, made eye contact and kept walking. I needed help finding some shorts but I didn't want to bother anyone as they looked like they did not want to be bothered. I ended up finding what I needed, but as a level 2 cardholder, I go shopping a lot. I just probably will have to find another Nordstrom to shop at. read more

I'm a couple weeks late with this review, sorry about that. This review is for the Women's Shoe Department. I went in to try on a pair of Hunter boots to make sure I was ordering the right size when I ordered them online (they were no longer available in-store). For shits & giggles, I decided to see if a customer service rep could order them online for me. Majid not only took the time to find that there were 5 pairs left in my size/color at any Nordstrom's in the country, but he then called multiple store to make sure they had them IN-HAND before he placed the order. Since they are last season's boots, the rubber had started to oxidize (we were told on the phone) so Majid said that once I got the boots, I should bring them in and he'll shine them up and make them look like new. The next day, I got a sad message from Majid. There was some confusion at the store from which the boots were ordered and they denied the request. So, he called them back, got it squared away, but then needed my CC info again. He totally got it handled. I received my boots a few days later and called Majid to make sure he was in to clean them up. He was about to leave, so he told Jenny my plight and she was there, expecting me. She shined them up, they look GORGEOUS, and once again, Nordstrom's has some of the best customer service I've ever encountered. Thank you thank you thank you! read more

Nothing compares to Nordstrom. It is BOMB. Examples: -Nordstrom Rewards! Being that I do the majority of my shopping there, I manage to spend (at least) $2000 a year. That means, I get free shipping (I could pretty much order a $10 lip gloss and get free shipping. But, I wouldn't do that. It's not green). I also get invited to private shopping events where I get first dibs on new stuff that is on SUPER sale. -L.A.M.B., Kate Spade, BP (everything and anything in that section. Inexpensive and cute)- to name a few. -This department store has all the sass of a high-end retailer without the snob factor. And, if anyone is mean, COMPLAIN. It works. I love nordstrom !! Whenever I come to the Santa Anita mall, Nordstrom is the place I always go to. Why? Because Nordstrom is a lot more fancy, classy, and has better quality stuff to buy. If you're looking for a great birthday or Christmas gift to get someone, Nordstrom is the best place to go to. Its more expensive than the other department stores like Macy's and JC Penny, but it just looks better when you buy stuff from Nordstrom. I suggest you shop at Nordstrom online because they have A LOT more stuff to choose from. You can always have them deliver it to your nearest Nordstrom and you can pick it up from there. The best thing about Nordstrom online is that it's free shipping and free returns! So you never have to stress about wasting money on that. This Nordstrom has a lot of clothes, accessories, makeup, shoes, purses etc for both men and women. I suggest you guys sign up for Nordstrom reward points because on certain days if you use your Nordstrom credit card, you get double and triple points! If I could give zero stars I would. Made me jump through hoops just "picking up" things that I thought I had already purchased online. Two workers needed multiple IDs from me (over 3) I even had the online receipt. I also explained that my card was a debit and that no one could spend money unless they knew the code. The lady smiles and says "sorry, I need to do this because of the charged amount" NO FUCKING SHIT. I bought only 3 things: 2 shirts and a little skin care cream.. and that shit came out to be over $400. I shop at Nordstrom's quite a bit, I've purchased David Yurman jewelry, a lot of burberry products and even things for my baby. I purchased a wallet a few days ago as a Christmas gift and I paid cash, I actually ended up buying a Kate Spade cat purse at another Nordstrom's for the gift and wanted to return the wallet. I had my receipt and the unused item. I made the return and I was asked for my license, I refused because I don't see any need for my personal information to be in their system especially if it's a cash transaction and I have my receipt. I refused and was told I could only get a gift card if I didn't want to provide identification. NO WHERE on their receipt does it mention needing an ID to return an item. I could understand it if I were returning a product with no receipt but this absurd, the "manager" Ashley was beyond rude and tried to give me lame excuse about the patriot act, I called corporate to let them know she's not only rude but wrong. I'm returning the purse as well because I refuse to give Nordstrom's another dollar, I guess Bloomingdales it is! In today's modern world where I can get things for cheaper online customer service is important. Things like this are the reason why so many retailers are hurting, i only spend a couple of thousand dollars a year here so my business won't be missed but when enough people get fed up they'll go the way of major retailers that closed. I normally don't take the time to write negative reviews but this experience really pushed me over the edge. I ordered a hat on line. Unfortunately, it was too small and the Nordstrom in Arcadia didn't carry it so I ordered a different size. I went in to return it with tags, shipping label and original packaging all included. I was in the dress department and Sharon said she could help me. She starts processing the return and then mumbles under her breath "this isn't our product ". Knowing perfectly well she was mistaken I chose to stay quiet and give her time to figure it out. She then turned around and whispered something to her co worker. Wow! I finally asked what was wrong and she said I needed to take it down to accessories. I walked over to customer service where she quickly processed the return and couldn't understand why the comment was made. I understand that it's Nordstrom and people do shady things. I was shopping here yesterday and when I was waiting for a cashier she said one moment I'll be with you. So I waited for mind you no one was in line. I patiently waited until both female cashiers were done doing whatever they had to do. Suddenly a white lady approached them and both cashiers were able to attend to her and took her clothes for her to purchase them. I thought it was unprofessional of these two women and I said wow so I guess my brown skin isn't noticeable and I haven't been standing here for five minutes. We were unsure of the 1901 brand. And I asked a lady whether the sizes were standard or ran big. She said in a hurry, "they are trimmed to fit" without looking what item we were asking about. True, the polo shirts did say Trimmed to fit. But the jackets weren't. Joey came to our rescue. He took off his coat, tried on the Jacket and we bought the jacket. This place truly exemplifies GREAT customer service. I love the cosmetics department in this store. Okay, I'm biased because I used to work in the department, but so what, that just means it's really THAT good! The girls behind the cosmetics counters are knowledgeable and they'll call you up to let you know of special events if you let them put you in their database. They have a trunk show once a year that you have to buy tickets for to attend where you can enjoy drinks and appetizers while you attend workshops held by the different cosmetics vendors. The money for the ticket then gets credited to your purchase and you get a bunch of samples to take home. Totally worth it! If the store is out of something, the sales associates can easily look it up on the computers to see if any nearby stores carry it and have it delivered to the store. Same goes for brands not carried by this store but are available at another Nordstrom. The anniversary sale and semi-annual sales are great too! They have regular priced items at reduced prices for the sale and the prices go back up after the sale. You can even find some Marc Jacobs and Chloe handbags on sale sometimes. Awesome! read more

Nordstrom is my favorite department store. The service is always awesome and they have quality stuff. I do not go frequently anymore since I work all the time, but I miss the live piano music. I think everybody knows what Nordstrom has to offer. I have learned though that if you are cool with buying used items, you can get a BIG discount, hence the popularity of ebay. Also, I got a clothier, so my tall and thin european look can get a tailored suit or shirts that will fit the way it is supposed to. Nothing but great things about Nordstrom. For starters: the salespeople at Nordstrom's are FANTASTIC. They are incredibly nice, helpful, and present. I gave the store four stars because of the below and the fact that it's not great for people who are short. Some of you will know what I mean. The shirts are cute, but too long for someone of my stature (5'3"); the pants generally fit, but same problem. My true problem with the store could be the florescent lights in the dressing rooms. Have you ever seen the George Carlin skit about our similarities? YEAH. After trying on clothes for a few minutes I just want to leave with a paper bag on my head and join a gym. This Nordstrom has really gone downhill. I have been going and shopping here since I was a toddler. I was looking around for 20 minutes last week in the women's shoe department and then found a pair of heels I wanted to purchase, not one person greeted me nor asked me if I needed help when I was looking. I made the transaction easy because I already knew what size I needed and I purchased it the same time I asked for a particular heel. I had to wait in line at the register to even get assistance. You would think after not being helped and having to wait at the cash register that someone would at least thank me for waiting. Unfortunately, no one did. Their department wasn't even busy since it was during the week. I have been to Nordstrom plenty of times when they have been busy, but at least they take the time to greet you and ask if you need assistance. I am sad to say, but I have to change my 5 star review down to a three. This review is only for the women's shoe department. The bag, cosmetics, women's clothing, and men's clothing department get a 4 star review. All the curbside pick up and in-store pick up to protect you from Covid were only there to protect you when you shop, not when you're fallen victim of a Nordstrom credit card fraud. I was told that I "had to step into their store" to verify my identity. I applied for a Nordstrom store card online durig the holidays to buy a gift for a curbside pick up at this location. Everything went well until I got a call from their fraud department. Apparently, someone managed to activiate my card and "physically" shopped at their store and spent thousands. Now, the question was how they could let someone to spend on their card without checking their ID? Since the pandemic hit, I never set foot into their store. I was told that if I wanted to verify my identity at curbside, just like I would for online shopping, I needed to "work it out" with the store manager. I don't understand why I needed to work it out with Norstrom instead of them work it out with their store manager. After all, they managed to let someone to spend thousands without checking their ID. I have been shopping at Nordstrom for over 20 years. Unfortunately, their card services and how they failed to coordinate with their own store just lost me as a customer forever. Buyers beware. The two sections I usually hit up here are the shoe and makeup areas. Everything else I pretty much ignore. That being said I really don't buy much here because it's just so overpriced... I enjoy looking at all the beautiful shoes and the new fashions but in my opinion it's not really worth spending so much money for one pair of shoes. That's why I check out Nordstrom Rack for cheaper prices hehe The makeup/cosmetic section is very nice, they have a huge selection so you can find anything you want and the ladies there are pretty helpful.
