I bought my Nuna stroller almost a year ago and just started using the bigger seat attachment since my little one is now almost one. I was having issues with the canopy staying open and covering my baby. On one of my many shopping trips to Nordstrom, I decided to just walk by the kids' section to ask for any advice. Julie was working that day and quickly came to my assistance. She assessed my stroller and immediately saw that the canopy was not latched in properly and that I was missing a part of the sun shade (which I tossed into storage along with the other accessories) that zips in the front. She solved all my problems in literally 30 seconds. My canopy now solidly opens and stays put. She was so knowledgeable and helpful! She is definitely an asset to the Nordstrom kids' department. I'm so lucky she was working when I decided to swing by. Thank you, Julie! read more

I love Nicole, my salesperson at the Chanel counter at Nordstrom. I followed her from the Americana Nordstrom to Santa Anita. This store is terrific. Love the shoe department. I've also bought evening wear here. Highly recommend. BTW did you know that Nordstroms will split a pair of shoes? My mom had polio and her feet were 3 sizes different. I think the difference must be 2 sizes. Anyway, they charge for one pair of shoes. No one else that I know of does this. read more

Nordstroms is usually my go to place if I'm shopping in person because the service is excellent. With that being said, I have no idea why the workers work here since they obviously hate their jobs. I was in the mens department and was looking for a velvet blazer knowing Burberry had one. I asked what came to be the manger of the mens department for assistance. He rolled his eyes and passed me off to a new associate that had no clue. If I'm asking about a Burberry blazer obviously cost isn't an issue but he kept repeating it was expensive. I said ok, and he advised me they did not carry it. I checked out the whole department and low and behold I found it. That's when the associate found me and again repeated it was expensive. I finally said yes it's expensive because the quality it superior to anything else you have here. I ended up purchasing another blazer I found because the Burberry was too small but the attitude I got from that department manager really needs to be addressed. I will go the other way if I see him. It's mens suits and he was in an essentials sweatshirt. At least be nicer read more

The selection at this Nordstrom is pretty good. I'd have to say they carry everything that I buy and they're almost never out of what I need. Its very clean store and well organized as with most Nordstroms. The only downside I'd have to say about this place is that the customer service isn't as good as others. I went in for the Anniversary Sale. I'm used to people asking me if I needed help or offering me assistance while I browse. Here I was not approached. Several associates walked past me, made eye contact and kept walking. I needed help finding some shorts but I didn't want to bother anyone as they looked like they did not want to be bothered. I ended up finding what I needed, but as a level 2 cardholder, I go shopping a lot. I just probably will have to find another Nordstrom to shop at. read more

I'm a couple weeks late with this review, sorry about that. This review is for the Women's Shoe Department. I went in to try on a pair of Hunter boots to make sure I was ordering the right size when I ordered them online (they were no longer available in-store). For shits & giggles, I decided to see if a customer service rep could order them online for me. Majid not only took the time to find that there were 5 pairs left in my size/color at any Nordstrom's in the country, but he then called multiple store to make sure they had them IN-HAND before he placed the order. Since they are last season's boots, the rubber had started to oxidize (we were told on the phone) so Majid said that once I got the boots, I should bring them in and he'll shine them up and make them look like new. The next day, I got a sad message from Majid. There was some confusion at the store from which the boots were ordered and they denied the request. So, he called them back, got it squared away, but then needed my CC info again. He totally got it handled. I received my boots a few days later and called Majid to make sure he was in to clean them up. He was about to leave, so he told Jenny my plight and she was there, expecting me. She shined them up, they look GORGEOUS, and once again, Nordstrom's has some of the best customer service I've ever encountered. Thank you thank you thank you! read more

Nothing compares to Nordstrom. It is BOMB. Examples: -Nordstrom Rewards! Being that I do the majority of my shopping there, I manage to spend (at least) $2000 a year. That means, I get free shipping (I could pretty much order a $10 lip gloss and get free shipping. But, I wouldn't do that. It's not green). I also get invited to private shopping events where I get first dibs on new stuff that is on SUPER sale. -L.A.M.B., Kate Spade, BP (everything and anything in that section. Inexpensive and cute)- to name a few. -This department store has all the sass of a high-end retailer without the snob factor. And, if anyone is mean, COMPLAIN. It works. They are 100% about customer service and stand behind their name at all times. Okay, gotta run. Time to check out the handbag sale bin. ; ) read more

I love nordstrom !! Whenever I come to the Santa Anita mall, Nordstrom is the place I always go to. Why? Because Nordstrom is a lot more fancy, classy, and has better quality stuff to buy. If you're looking for a great birthday or Christmas gift to get someone, Nordstrom is the best place to go to. Its more expensive than the other department stores like Macy's and JC Penny, but it just looks better when you buy stuff from Nordstrom. I suggest you shop at Nordstrom online because they have A LOT more stuff to choose from. You can always have them deliver it to your nearest Nordstrom and you can pick it up from there. The best thing about Nordstrom online is that it's free shipping and free returns! So you never have to stress about wasting money on that. This Nordstrom has a lot of clothes, accessories, makeup, shoes, purses etc for both men and women. I suggest you guys sign up for Nordstrom reward points because on certain days if you use your Nordstrom credit card, you get double and triple points! The main reason why I love Nordstrom is because they allow dogs!!!! I've brought my little yorkie and corgi in here before and everyone loved them. They welcome dogs with open arms just as much as people. read more

Good customer service and good selection. Very polite staff.

The worst customer service ever. More like customer Abuse! I need to return $274 worth of cosmetics I paid with cash. The sales person made me wait for over 30 minutes and kept on asking me: you want have something for exchange. I told her no, I want cash back. She then told me she doesn't have enough cash she can't do the return unless I do exchange. What a shady store. Waited for one hour and half could not get my refund. Worse then criminal. read more

I just had my makeup done at Charlotte Tilbury with Dani! I'm absolutely happy about my whole experience! Dani was so sweet in making sure I was satisfied with colors she picked and also making sure I was pleased about her makeup application. Whenever she suggested something 'out of my box' I let her do her thing (that's what I was there for, right?) and I was not disappointed! In the end she gave me a chart of all the different products she used on me. I wished I could've bought everything! I did get a couple things but will be returning next month for a makeup event with them and hopefully purchase more! If you stop by Charlotte Tilbury at Nordstrom's be sure to check if Dani's working! She has a lot of knowledge about the products and You won't be disappointed! read more

I don't shop here much. Hardly ever. And there's a reason! I can find cheaper alternatives at dozens of other retailers. SURPRISINGLY this Nordstrom has never had a significance in my experiences where I can say I was truly pleased. The only thing I really like is the fashion creativity and the various choices they have of products. Lots to browse! The customer service has never stood out. Some days they're nice and others they don't even greet you even when they see you. No ones really helped me out in the way their company believes in and I don't know and understand why!! Reasons why I always come out empty handed. STORY TIME: I came in to browse and found a beautiful top with ruffles on the sleeve. The size that fit me had overwhelming/puffy sleeves and then I remembered they offer alterations. Not that I had ever inquired about it. The lady came to look at the top and automatically told me it couldn't be done. She said it would change the style of the top. I'm no seamstress but I pinched the fabric myself where I wanted it to be stitched and it in NO way changed the appearance. It just made it more subtle. And I suppose I could've done it at home and very well could have but it was an easy fix that the store offers to handle! So I passed. Could've made a sale but I guess they have too much money to care. This really makes up my mind about this store now and if I ever shop here again I KNOW NOT TO DEPEND ON ANYONE FOR HELP. read more

This location is nice! I was in the area so I decided to stop by the local Nordstrom at Santa Anita & was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted on the way in and stopped first at the kids shoes section. The man was very friendly and initiated conversation. It's nice to see a sales person talk about something other than trying to make a sale. Then I went up to BP clothes & the sales associate was very helpful there as well. Her name was Emily. She opened the fitting room door for me & admired one of the shirts I brought in. Unfortunately nothing worked for me but she was lovely. Lastly I went to the women's Topshop area, where I believe her name was Amanda helped me. She was very busy being the only one in the dept but she explained to me that she didn't mind & enjoyed it since sometimes the store can be dead at times. Overall my trip here was great. Very friendly staff & nice product. One star off because I was so confused with their layout. It's so different from the other stores south of this one. I had to go up the elevator and back down to realize that the kids shoes was on the first level. read more

Thank you Victoria in Intimates. I had heard that Nordstroms had the best customer service in intimates and thought I'd give them a try. I was shopping for bras and Victoria was the one to help me. She took the time to make sure I had the right fit, and comfort. She also found very attractive styles that I normally wouldn't even attempt to try. I ended up buying 3 bras off the rack for myself, 3 for my daughter and 2 that Victoria ordered from the warehouse stock to be shipped to my home. I have never been so happy buying bras until now. Thank you Victoria. read more

Disclaimer: I love, love, love Nordstroms. And I still will. Where else can I find size 4.5 shoes and a decent petite section for my petite frame? Nordstroms, of course! I've been a loyal customer, as I'm in need of business casual clothing that fit. But this location, meh. I used to be a regular at this Nordstroms, whether it was to browse for clothing, shoes, bags, and jewelry. About 3-4 years ago, I encountered excellent customer service at the jewelry counters with one of the sales associates. But since then, after numerous visits...customer service has definitely gone downhill. Like any other business, you would expect decent, respectful service to all customers who come out to visit and browse through merchandise. But at this particular location, it seems like you either have to flag down someone to help you, or you must appear like you're going to make a purchase (e.g. have a pile of merchandise in your hands). And the selective service to certain customers...I especially do not appreciate that. I encountered this at the jewelry counter this past 2 weeks, with full intention to purchase a necklace for myself. The sales associate appeared enthusiastic with other customers but very curt and had an attitude of "you probably can't afford that." Similar encounter with the clothing area on the second floor, except the sales associates blatantly ignored me while addressing the other customers. And the sales floor was not even busy. I may look young, but I obviously would not be shopping here if I couldn't afford the merchandise. Nonetheless, associates need to treat everyone who walks in, regardless of making a purchase or not, with respect and courtesy. These are just a few things I can think of. But every time I walk in here in the past few years, I definitely do not feel welcomed. Rather, I have a feelings of uneasiness and disappointment that the service has declined in quality. Hence the 3 stars. Bottom line: I am still going to shop at Nordstroms online...for now. But my search begins for other businesses where customer service is seen as a number one priority. read more

This place truly exemplifies GREAT customer service. I love the cosmetics department in this store. Okay, I'm biased because I used to work in the department, but so what, that just means it's really THAT good! The girls behind the cosmetics counters are knowledgeable and they'll call you up to let you know of special events if you let them put you in their database. They have a trunk show once a year that you have to buy tickets for to attend where you can enjoy drinks and appetizers while you attend workshops held by the different cosmetics vendors. The money for the ticket then gets credited to your purchase and you get a bunch of samples to take home. Totally worth it! If the store is out of something, the sales associates can easily look it up on the computers to see if any nearby stores carry it and have it delivered to the store. Same goes for brands not carried by this store but are available at another Nordstrom. The anniversary sale and semi-annual sales are great too! They have regular priced items at reduced prices for the sale and the prices go back up after the sale. You can even find some Marc Jacobs and Chloe handbags on sale sometimes. Awesome! read more

Nordstrom is my favorite department store. The service is always awesome and they have quality stuff. I do not go frequently anymore since I work all the time, but I miss the live piano music. I think everybody knows what Nordstrom has to offer. I have learned though that if you are cool with buying used items, you can get a BIG discount, hence the popularity of ebay. Also, I got a clothier, so my tall and thin european look can get a tailored suit or shirts that will fit the way it is supposed to. Nothing but great things about Nordstrom. I have never had a bad experience there. read more

For starters: the salespeople at Nordstrom's are FANTASTIC. They are incredibly nice, helpful, and present. I gave the store four stars because of the below and the fact that it's not great for people who are short. Some of you will know what I mean. The shirts are cute, but too long for someone of my stature (5'3"); the pants generally fit, but same problem. My true problem with the store could be the florescent lights in the dressing rooms. Have you ever seen the George Carlin skit about our similarities? YEAH. After trying on clothes for a few minutes I just want to leave with a paper bag on my head and join a gym. The lighting is NOT flattering. Nordstrom's should take a cue from A & F in this regard: better lighting makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE. read more

Got Awesome customer services, ( I left Macy's so disappointed because the ladies at ESTEE Lauder didn't want to help me) anyways, I got to the ESTEE Lauder at Nordstrom and one ladies right away asked me if I needed help. I asked her for a Match up for a foundation, then Julie got there and she continued to help me. Julie tried on me the foundation, concealer , blush, powder lip stick and bronzer, she was so helpful.. Shout-out to Frankie in the Order Pickup section. We got there right when they opened. He was so friendly and professional. Wanted to buy some clothes that were on the anniversary sale and they force you to get a Nordstrom card before you can purchase the items. What!? What kind of nonsense is that? They literally forced me to get a Nordstrom card by having me fill out the membership application and submit information from my drivers license. They had me wait at the register while they call the application processing center to get approval for a card. I don't need a Nordstrom card. I just want to get in, purchase the items upfront with no questions asked, and get out. Customers' time are very important. Don't waste their time by having them stick around for something they don't need. Worst customer service from a department store ever. I have never been required to get a membership card before purchasing items ever at a department store. I give you the cash or my credit card, you get the easy revenue, and I am out of there with my items. But no, they made it become an extreme hassle by having me stick around for this unnecessary nonsense. I won't be returning to a Nordstrom again. There are plenty of good stores out there that don't do things like this to a customer that has upfront money. Most of Nordstrom's clothing are made in China anyway. read more

Great Store with Great Staff! great cosmetic department, they are very professional and product saavy!

The two sections I usually hit up here are the shoe and makeup areas. Everything else I pretty much ignore. That being said I really don't buy much here because it's just so overpriced... I enjoy looking at all the beautiful shoes and the new fashions but in my opinion it's not really worth spending so much money for one pair of shoes. That's why I check out Nordstrom Rack for cheaper prices hehe The makeup/cosmetic section is very nice, they have a huge selection so you can find anything you want and the ladies there are pretty helpful. I also like wandering around in the accessory section and trying on hats and various jewelry items =D read more

Out of the two Nordstrom department stores located around Pasadena (Santa Anita/Arcadia and Glendale Galleria), the Arcadia store is the better one. They just completed a very extensive remodel, and have completely redone the inside of the store to make it look hip and cool, and not drab 1980's-looking (like the one inside the Glendale Galleria). The mens shoe and mens clothing departments look great. The interior feels a lot more spacious too after the renovations. Merchandise is very nicely organized and kept that way. The whole store is also always kept very clean. I can definitely vouch for one of the reviewers before me about the well-dressed old gentleman standing at the entrance to the store from the lot greeting customers. I've seen him there quite a few times, especially during the major sales (the Anniversary Sale in July). I don't know what it is, but it adds a classy touch to the place and makes you feel welcome. I'm sure that it is something that used to be done in the glory days of the large downtown department stores. The salespeople working in the mens shoes department really know their shoes. They're not just kids selling pairs of expensive Italian dress shoes. Over the years, I've always had better service and attention in the Arcadia mens shoe department than in the Glendale mens shoe department. These are the specific points I want to make about this particular Nordstrom location. Needless to say, Nordstrom in general (every location) has among the best customer service in the retail industry - a model for everyone else to look at and try to imitate. read more

i went to this nordstrom a few days ago after not being there for a long time. i had bought so many expensive items there including st.johns. upon return i noticed the store was different and all the original employees were no longer there. it was pure tacky looking items compared to what was there previously, resulted in me not knowing what to get for my daughter that really made sense. i took a while because i have never seen the store with such low end items. i noticed security people starts making their rounds looking t me. i ignored them them know that they idiots cannot hold a candle to me. after purchasing a few items, not the best for my daughter, i went to the cafe and bought something to eat. when i sat down to eat a trashy looking overweight woman came in with security passing by pretending as they were just passing by. while he went inside a room she was there on her phone communicating. immediately after i got through eating and was exiting, the little washed out man in his 999 cents uniform came out of nowhere followed me to the exit door. as i was told a fe years ago by a white man who is an attorney, he said most of the crimes that are carried out in this country are carried out by whites. but they do not expose them, they are covered up to give the impression that every othr race are criminals except whites. blacks are also brone to have more diagnosis than whites. pure lies! the only next lies for them to tell is that more whites will be in heaven than black. surprise on judgement day! god is no respector of color or person. hell was made for the wicked and has no color line!. i am a person who works almost every day and earned my very healty and homest living. more than even the store manager and district manager. therefore , i did not dignify there nonsense as i am allergic to trash! read more

This gets three stars, because it's in the middle. Usually I get shitty service here in the Men's Furnishings department. Not bad service, SHITTY service. This time was a little better. I came in to exchange something that didn't fit right. The salesman was young, obviously somewhat inexperienced with clothing and fashion and pushy. He kept trying to upsell me some cufflinks (that I wasn't willing to pay $265 for), and claimed he had them himself. Somehow I doubt that, considering that I asked him some other questions and he had to get one of the older sales reps who knew their stuff. This guy does get props for checking in the back and getting me 2 shirts that were 75% off (clearance), considering how it's becoming increasingly difficult to get quality french cuff shirts in-store. read more
