This is always my favorite place to shop because its location is convenient, and you can simply shop online for store pick-up! Most of the employees are courteous and helpful. Their return policy guarantees satisfaction, so you can shop worry-free. When you shop online, they would pack your items really well. It can feel like Christmas every single day!! :) read more

I am absolutely disappointed in their customer service here. I walk into Nordstrom knowing it's more $$ compared to other department stores, which I then hope there would be better sales associates that are helpful. Not sure if it's holidays that make these associates grinchy, but I'm a sales associate for a beauty company and never will I ever treat a customer the way they do here. It's a Monday at 1pm, my day off. Actually I just wanted to spoil myself with some shopping. It's just after Black Friday and I get it. People can be a headache, but still service shouldn't be this bad. I walked in looking for Stuart boots. I know these boots are more high-end and the specific pair I was looking at retailed for $798. I'm a short gal, so I really need to inspect thigh high boots for the size of it and how it fits. This associate looked at me up and down and walked away with a snotty look. As soon as I picked up the shoe, she ran to me and asked me if I needed any help in a way where it sounded like she wanted me out of there because I was messing with her stuff. I kindly replied that I needed a size 5 1/2. She lets me know that these boots are $798 as if I couldn't afford it. I wanted to look at them anyways. She brought them out in a size 5 and sat next to me when I told her I would like to check them out on my own. She sat with me almost the entire time and asked me if I knew about the brand and etc. I told her not much, but I've been doing research and have been wanting to purchase a pair. Especially since I found they were $598 Nordstrom's website. She replied that the brand never has any sales so she doesn't know what website I was looking at but I'm telling you, they are on the Nordstrom website price matched to another. In the end I didn't purchase the boots there because of the service and the way that associate made me feel. I would not want to spend my money where my money is looked low upon. Ended up purchasing the boots from Stuart's actual website for $498 instead. read more

Worst Nordstrom ever. I already had a bad experience with this Nordstrom before but I guess even after years, they still couldn't improve. Went there to get shoes today, was standing around for at least 15 mins looking for someone to help me get a size but no one bothered. I noticed two salespersons were just idling and talking. Caught my eyes a couple of times but neither bothered to step up and asked if I needed something. They carried on with their conversation like tomorrow is going to end. I walked off to another section to look for someone to help but this one salesman was busy with another customer so I walked back to where I was and finally found someone. Asked her to get me two sizes, she didn't sound too happy and only brought back one size. At this point I was done with it so I just took it. But yepp, I'm not coming back here next time. read more

This place is a dream land for me. They have many things I would love to buy and many things that I know I can not and will not buy because of the price. But for the store in all I consider this place very nice and friendly service. The bathrooms are kept very clean that is a plus in my book and the store is kept very tidy and if you don't know where anything is at you could ask a sales attendant and they will assist you. I went here today to go and buy some socks that I am very happy about because there selection on it is very wide and there are many different types of socks for different types of shoes. This is the place to go. The sales assistant was very friendly and she made me feel so comfortable. The reason I think for the markup is for the great service you get ! Hey it comes with a price right? read more

Customer service was great! It was a busy day - parking was very hard to find, but we got in and the employees at the watches department were all very helpful. An employee named Joe in particular was great! He asked what we were looking for, made great conversation, and found help for us (as I don't think he worked in the watch department), but he memorized everything I told him and reiterated it to another employee filling her in on what I was looking for and my interests. He was very helpful, a pleasure to speak with and I only wish all employees were like this when coming to any retail store! Thanks Joe! The Watches Department on the other hand is quite small, I thought this place would have a larger selection since it's a very popular mall, but I was disappointed in the watch department and was not able to find what I wanted. read more

I've been shopping here for years, but lately the atmosphere has changed. I noticed they started locking up the handbags on display. What is going on? Their events are still great. Beauty trend show, Anniversary sales, 1/2 Yearly sale...but by far CRN is the best time to shop. Earn extra points for shopping, free drinks and snacks while you browse sales that are not open to the public yet! Getting a Nordstrom card is totally worth it just for CRN! Sales associates are great. If they sell it online, they can send the item to your home or to the store for FREE. They still have the best return policy! Some of the shoppers are super rude, but I can't blame the store for that. read more

I've been shopping at this location for some time now. On this day I wanted to look at purchasing a high end stroller. As I began looking at some of the models that were on display I noticed a girl who was aligning some clothes on a nearby rack. After about 5 mins I see her waking over to the strollers with a customer who had a question. I assumed that after her conversation with this gentleman she would acknowledge us and ask if we needed any assistance. After her interaction she walked away clearly seeing that we were hands on with strollers pulling them off the display stage. This is business as usual here as of late. I've walked through the mens department without any greeting from employees for years now. Weeks back I wanted to purchase a designer wallet and I had to search for help. I don't know why I'm continue to shop at Nordstrom, I guess I'm looking for the service I once received from this reputable department store. As a matter of fact about a year ago I wanted to purchase a YSL cologne and the girl who worked in mens fragrance was not interested in helping me. When I walked over to macy's the lady's who were more mature and professional helped me sample the different YSL fragrances and sold me! I hope someone in corporate changes the approach of customer engagement. read more

I am very disappointed today when I encountered the RUDEST employee I have ever dealt in my entire life! I don't think I will be shopping here at this Santa Anita Nordstrom ever again! They don't know how to handle customers with class, dignity, and basic human respect. Here's my story: Went to customer service tonight to sort out my previous Nordstrom reward points because I have spent roughly 2k in the past few months and only shown 50 points in the system. I was greeted by a roughly 60ish grandma, after entering my basic info and was told that she can't find any additional reward points impatiently and tell me to walk away! Her attitude was like, I'm about to go home it's 8:45pm and she should shut up and go home! At the moment I was so pissed and ask my hubby to help me out! Then my hubby ask for the manager and she was a little more helpful where she was able to find points but she kept looking at the clock through out. Her attitude wasn't so great, and pretty much rushing due probably she hates her job and wants to go home! I thought this was high end department store but I was treat like I was at 99 cent store with bad attitude and disrespect. read more

I love this store the employees are nice, always cheerful and helpful. The store is clean, and easy parking. I have been looking for the barefoot dreams blanket that was sold out online. I happened to call to see if they have it in store. Tatiana B was able to help me find the item! She is the only sales person who's gone above and beyond to help me find the item. I had called two other stores (Nordstrom at Americana and The Grove) and no one helped me like she did. She called multiple stores to look for the item and called me back. Luckily someone didn't pick up their blanket and i was able to purchase it! =] Totally made my day. Working 12 hour shifts at the hospital...sometimes i just want something nice and cozy to fall asleep in. I know there's plenty of blankets but hey...sometimes you just want what you want! read more

I had what I thought was a pleasant experience with Nora at the La Prairie/La Mer counter a few months ago. I came to restock on some of my staple beauty items. She told me that if I spent a little more then I would receive a complimentary La Mer facial in June. So I decided to spend a little more than $1,400 and she was able to schedule me in. A couple weeks later she had texted me some promos La Mer was having, and she continued to do so every week, sometimes twice a week, for a month. About a month out she asked me if I was interested in any of the promos going on. I had told her that since I had already stocked up on all my skincare products a few weeks prior through her that I didn't have any current needs. Thats when she told me that if I did not make a purchase than she will cancel my complimentary facial she had scheduled me in for. I then told her that was bad shay customer service, I felt duped and asked her not to text me promos in the future. She texted me promos AGAIN a couple weeks later to which I told her that if she texted me again, I would write this review. So here I am. I am actually shocked that Nordstroms, in general, would have shady business practices like this. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I went to return a Christmas present for store credit not cash. The girl said since the store that my sister purchased the items didn't put a tag on the back of price I wouldn't be able to get full credit. Then she proceeded to ask for my ID. She basically made me feel like a criminal. So I had to call my sister whom I was too embarrassed to tell I was returning gift that i was returning it to ask for receipt.so I ended up getting fuLl credit. But I felt like I was at J.C. Jesus also assisted us and was so nice he took the stroller out to the car for us on a dolly. It was a great experience! read more

Today, was really disappointed by the staff at Nordstrom at the Westfield Santa Anita Mall. Wanted to check out if Yves Saint Laurent has a new cologne line and was clearly treated as if I didn't belong there. When people are asked where would you go after winning the lottery, I would have to say Nordstrom! It's MY "happiest place on earth". Not only do they offer the best products and competitive prices, the best part for me is the first class service! There is nothing better than having great service. They offer all the name/luxury brands in clothing, cosmetics and shoes. If they don't have your size they will do the leg work for you. They also have an easy return policy in the case the items are not of your liking, fit, etc. Note: If you don't have time to shop, they also offer personal stylist services. Today I went shopping for my mother's bday gift, Nordstrom Santa Anita is Always my go to place. I took my five year old son with me to help me pick out a gift, after walking around Nordstrom for about 2 hours I purchased my mom a gift for over $2000. My son asked if we can stop at the kids shoe department and get a ballon. He asked for two balloons a blue and a green one. The girl working there KARY BUTLER, told us he can only have one. She brought out a green one. My son started crying for a blue one. Usually I would tell him no and leave the store but today he was such a great sport dealing with my shopping and I spent a good amount of money so I asked her if he can please have a blue one too. She said "no our policy is only one". So I asked to speak to her manager. She goes to the back and I hear her laughing with another employee. I waited for 10 minutes and I said "helloooo" loud enough for her to hear she doesn't come out until 5 minutes later To tell me her manager isn't answering. 5 more minutes pass and her manager comes, I ask him for a blue ballon while holding a green ballon in my hand and he tells me yes right away. I called customer service when I got to my car and they told me THEY HAVE NO SUCH POLICY OF ONLY ONE BALLON, they told me that her giving me two balloons wouldn't have been a problem. I also spoke to the Manager that gave me the second ballon and he also told me THEY DIDN'T HAVE A SUCH POLICY EITHER!!! I know it's just a ballon I get that, but the fact that I am a frequent Nordstrom customer and spend quite A lot of money there monthly I found the way she treated me and my son was really rude. She was rude, snobby and apparently a liar. She acted as if the second ballon was going to be deducted from her paycheck. KARY BUTLER you shouldn't treat people the way you treated my son and I today. Remember frequent customers like myself allows you to have a paycheck. Without us customers Nordstrom wouldn't be in business. I asked her for her name and she gave me the rudest reply I was so shocked. I've never had to deal with this type of customer service in my life and I'm quite surprised it was at Nordstrom. I am a Nordstrom VISA card holder and I made my husband open a card at Nordstrom too, that's how much I enjoy shopping there but after this experience i don't know if it's worth spending the extra money especially with the customer service I dealt with today. In all reality I can easily get most of the items there for a lesser price somewhere else. Nordstrom you need to re-evaluate your employees. KARY BUTLER was so rude with no customer service skills. I've never felt so unwelcome before. I am a Hispanic woman and I felt the racism with Kary today. Please do something about this so it doesn't happen to someone else again. read more

Placed my anniversary sale orders online within the first half hour on day 1. I chose the option to pick up items at the store. Within hours I received email notification that portions of my multiple orders are ready to be picked up at the store, and a couple items got cancelled because it is no longer available. I went to the store to pick up the orders the next day, I was only handed 2 items. The curb side service guy told me they don't have anything else ready for me because they got 1000 orders yesterday and he sent me away. I called the store back questioning why did I received email confirmation for store pick up on 15 items, and only received 2 items that was not even listed as ready pick up. Alison (the only helpful person today) then found the rest of the items and told me it's ready so I drove back one more time to pick them up. After picking up the items, I browsed through the store a bit, and I saw the items that were marked cancelled from my original order are actually available in the store, and they have tons of them!!! This is extremely upsetting, someone is not fulfilling the order or updating the store inventory properly!! Even the ladies at the customer service counter were not able to provide information on the list of items that was actually ordered on my account and they were not able to tell me which ones are in the store, in transit, confirmed, or cancelled. What the heck is going on?!!! I thought Nordstrom has superb customer service, the service I received today is beyond BAAAAAD! read more

This goes out to the WOMEN's SHOE department . Who used to be so accommodating of shoppers!!! I grew up shopping here considering I used to live in the area. I often come back to the mall because it's one of my favorites and I like to "come back home" every once in a while. I get tired of the crappy sales people (not all) who walk around pretentious and snobby here. I had my daughters jeans that I had purchased, hemmed from the seamstress. I came in the store to pick them up and the older lady at the counter there was actually pretty rude. She let my daughter try them on, although when we were finished and I tried to be polite and flag her down and tell her "thank you", she completely ignored me, wouldn't make eye contact with me. Although, I was literally on the other end of the counter staring at her. So I walked away, Then I tried to talk to two other male employees that were busy yacking to each other about their personal problems. I tried to go up to them and thank them. They would not stop talking about their problems out loud. I couldn't believe that they thought their drama was more important. It seems like if they're not making commission on you they literally don't care about you. This is not the first time I've had encountered rude judgey employees at this Nordstrom. I'd rather have a really nice salesperson that is there with excellent customer skills then some sales person that's trying to look relevant and hip to the Nordstrom brand with zero CS skills. Usually, I would ignore it, but I've had it. My 17 year old won't even shop in the teen department anymore because she says the employees there are rude. read more

This has been my go-to Nordstrom for as long as I can remember, since it's the closest to me. As a child, I came here with my mother, and now alone (unless I drag Craig P. with me hehe). Nordstrom is my favorite department store and continues to be, with their competitive pricing policies, great sales, and customer service. My two favorites things about Nordstrom is their price matching and very lenient return policy. With that said, I'll write about my most recent experience involving price matching in the handbag department. First, a little back story: I've been lusting after the Alexander Wang Rocco/Rockie for the last six years. I had a $300 gift certificate with Shopbop.com and was saving it to use it to purchase the bag. After much contemplation, I decided I wanted the bag with rose gold hardware, which Shopbop didn't have. Thanks to ShopStyle.com, I found the exact bag on sale at AzaleaSF.com for $595 (regular price is $850), but it was sold out. I realized Nordstrom could do price matching... Their price matching policy is a little tricky and there are tiny loopholes that some salespeople are willing to take or bend a little. Most customers usually do price matching on shoes, which both Craig and I have done. For shoes, some SAs say size and color matters, some say size and color doesn't matter. It really depends on who you get. I suggest if you get a no the first time, it doesn't hurt to ask someone else again at a later time. If you need more info, check forum.purseblog.com/general-shopping/nordstrom-price-match-discussion-thread-43992.html. I decided to come here to see if I could get the price matching done. Helia helped me and was a complete doll. She had to ask Anthony in the back if I could do the price match and upon hearing the store name, he said that I couldn't because Azalea SF is a consignment store. Azalea SF is not a consignment store, so I asked him to check the product on their website. After waiting for some time, he told Helia that they would price match Azalea SF, which meant I could purchase it for $595, saving almost $300 (including tax)! I was told that Nordstrom won't do a price match if the competitor's item is sold out, but they made an exception for me, which I'm so grateful for. Helia was also able to track down a Le Pliage in a sold out color for me and did two follow-up price-checks for a MBMJ Delancey weekender that I also purchased from her to see if I could do a price adjustment. I love that Nordstrom is the epitome of luxury, and their goal is to always try to keep their customer happy, and help them save lots of money! They have amazing sales and policies to help lessen the damage on our wallets, without sacrificing quality or service. read more

***Update*** I received a phone call from the Store Manager who apologized for the experience and said she will work with corporate to resolve these issues as customer service is extremely important to them...much appreciated! One star service today at Nordstrom. HIGHLY disappointed. If you shop at any Nordstrom or know anyone that does, please read below. ***When visiting any Nordstrom store for a return or exchange my advice is DO NOT LET THE CASHIER RUN AS AN EXCHANGE if you are planning on getting a different color/size etc. Make a return and a repurchase. A lot of times the cashiers automatically just process the transaction as an exchange*** ***Did you know that when you allow Nordstrom to process an exchange, even though you receive a new item, there is NO WAY to track the "proof of purchase" of that new item on a Nordstrom credit card, debit card or any other form of payment? Any bank card, Nordstrom Card or Nordstrom Debit card will show the original item has been returned, but it will not show that it has been repurchased/exchanged. So there is no way for Nordstrom to track the proof of purchase of the exchanged item unless you keep your receipt or sticker with bar code. You would think that if you have a Nordstrom debit card OR Nordstrom credit card, they would be able to track your purchases...NOT IF IT WAS EXCHANGED, it will only show a return! I found out the hard way, I went to exchange a pair of shoes that I was having a difficult time finding the right size. It took me two exchanges to finally find the right one, the shoe was not running true to size nor breaking in the way it should have. It took three employees, one manager in charge, to look over all of my purchases within the last 6 months, even though I told them it was only within the last month that I exchanged the shoes, and over 30 minutes of my time to in the end have to eventually walk away still having to deal with the exchange at another time since the store manager told me she would not exchange my shoes due to them not being able to find proof of purchase....I ended up being so frustrated I just bought the shoes in the correct size and was left to deal with the exchange once I found my original proof of purchase sticker on the box which I inadvertently left at home. The whole reason I have a Nordstrom card is to avoid the scenario of lost receipts/misplaced box, etc...I assumed the luxury of having a Store card would be to track every purchase or exchange but I learned something new today. I found out after I got home and found my original proof of purchase that it is the Nordstrom system accounting error due to the aforementioned "exchange" that caused them not to find proof of purchase on my Nordstrom card, they only ever saw the return. Shouldn't the manager in charge of the store have known enough about how their system works to have stepped in and remedied the situation? Nope, we both discovered this when she finally processed my exchange hours after I left the store, and the worst part, she did not even apologize for the inconvenience or her assumption that I "could" have purchased the shoes somewhere else even though I swore up and down that I made the purchase at Nordstrom. I wonder how many other Nordstrom shoppers have experienced the same type of incident? Hopes this helps someone out there. I regret giving this particular store my business today given the situation, but I really wanted those shoes! Have already called N Corp office on this one, they need to get this fixed as this is a huge inconvenience for loyal shoppers. read more

700 stars for Ted, the coolest 97 year old gentleman who is the official Norstrom Arcadia greeter. I absolutely adore him, and so enjoy seeing him every time I stop by. Nordstrom is my all time favorite department store to shop at. But this location was poor in their customers service. I was at their shoes department, I have been looking for over 20 minutes, nobody would come over and provide services. I had to ask around, they didn't seem busy at all. Two sales men were gossiping about their customers. You have to ask whoever help you at the beginning to assist you, they didn't want to help you if you didn't belong to their customers. So I was with my mom in the shoe department trying on some shoes. For some reason, none of the shoes my mom tried on had prices labeled on them. My mom decides to buy two pairs and asks our sales rep, Kathleen, what the prices are. For the pair of Franco Sarto, she said it was on sale for $80. For the pair of Via Spagia, she just said it was on sale. When we get to the cashier who rang it up for us, everything Kathleen told us was WRONG. He honored the pricing, helped me order the right size, and organized to have it shipped to me. I know it sounds simple and straightforward but his pleasant attitude really made this encounter positive. read more

Not sure what was going on at this Nordstrom because it seems to me that every single sales associate my friend and I had contact with seemed to be snobby, uptight, and rude. They definitely gave off a vibe of the "I'm better than you and you don't look the part, so I'm not going to give you standard customer service". Barely any smiles were given and there was absolutely no engagement whatsoever. The sales associates (shoe, MAC, skincare department) made no effort in starting or keeping a conversation with my friend and I, which made the transactions extremely uncomfortable. The snarky remarks they'd give us were annoying and rude as well. We were purchasing items from the store, so I didn't understand why they were belittling us and not valuing us as customers. Also, as my friend and I got in the car, we noticed a napkin at the bottom of our Nordstrom bag with a huge grease stain. Uhm, ew. I'll probably never come here again as I did not feel welcome or special whatsoever. Charles from the Bistro Cafe, on the other hand, was EXTREMELY kind, respectful, and caring. What a great employee. Please recognize him for all the hard work he's doing, because he's a phenomenal man. read more
