1 star for the Eyewear Dept. when Sandra is working. I usually have good experiences with this location and their various departments. I went to this location and had an interaction with the Sales Associate, Sandra. She was seemingly friendly and approached me about any questions I may have had. I expressed to her I was looking for a specific pair of Chanel sunglasses you had carried a couple seasons ago. She asked me to send her the photo and product number, and so I did. This was when we had exchanged phone numbers. She said she would reach out to their Chanel vendor and text me if they DID have the sunglasses in stock and she would place the order for me. Not expecting it to be available (considering it has been several seasons now), I left the store. Less than an hour later, Sandra had texted me "Yes I am able to order this pair of the chanal sunglasses. We have a few left in our fulfillment department. They are $455." I was shocked and of course was going to buy them. I appreciated her reaching out to me so quickly. I immediately texted her back photos and the product number just once again to confirm these were the available pair. She confirmed and said "Our Chanal vendor replied yes that is the exact pair we can order for you." Should have already seen this as a red flag when she couldn't even spell Chanel correctly. The next day, Sandra gave me a call to confirm my payment. Up until this point, she has been very responsive, texted me back right away (8AM even when she is not working) and has just been communicative - I loved that, good customer service, or so I thought. Then she placed the order over the phone and I realized I wanted to use my 2x points on this purchase and my $10 note (I had forgotten to ask). I texted her back and no response. I followed-up the next day, no response. If the answer was no, she could have simply told me and that's fine. Again, followed up and she said she had applied my double points and had a $10 gift card ready for me. Ok, were you not going to tell me if I never followed up again? I did not want a $10 gift card, I wanted it applied to the purchase. If it could not have been done, she should have just left it. I checked my account for days and saw the order had still not shipped. Finally, I received an email from Nordstrom saying this order is canceled because the product is no longer available. As unfortunate as this situation is, I understand there may be inventory issues; however, I do not appreciate Sandra informing me verbatim, per her vendor, there were a FEW left at the distribution center. I am starting to think there was never the pair to begin with, and Sandra just simply wanted to complete the sales and knew it would not render. Not only am I disappointed in this oversight and somewhat manipulative tactic, I also do not like how she handled the situation. She was so responsive BEFORE, DURING the sale, but immediately AFTER the transaction, she stopped engaging. That to me, is NOT good customer service and demonstrates her lack of sincerity. As a loyal Nordstrom customer, I expected a lot more as I have always received excellent customer care, and this to me was shady business. I texted her about my canceled order and still no response, so she has made it clear she never cared for customer service and wanted to hit her sales goal. read more

Nordstrom is so divine and gives you a sugar rush. Came here needing to return some makeup at the MAC counter. Was advise that I was able to return anything in the store regardless of what counter you bought from. Now that is good to know...stood around in the bracelet section to look at some accessories before being helped! The people here are SUPER nice and friendly, always making sure you are being help and they are not far. =) Check out the sales and clearance because you will find a steal! read more

Awful awful awful attitudes on the women employees. Only offer help on ones who look like they have money. Completely dismissive and rude. They looked at us as if we were suspicious. We left immediately. Sucks because we were gonna spend some money on shoes for our wedding. read more

I am appalled at the direction this store is taking...I walked in there on Sat the only day the mall is open till nine when the weather is cooler and found the shoe department separating the designer shoes with a drop cloth curtain so no one could go in there unless they knew they could afford 1k shoes or more...the rest of the shoes were in the aisles and their prices are stupid. the atmoshere is very negative and no one is friendly...arrogant rich customers are the only ones that get attention...macy's is my only store I will ever shop again...everyone I know that worked there has retired because of the sad shape the store is in...macy's is a real person's store where you are treated with respect and given great deals on just about the same things expecially at topanga plaza super macy's. read more

Went here today and was helped by a gentleman named Lee in the mens section. He really helped out and was very friendly. Made the shopping experience here very enjoyable! read more

I just have to say I had the best experience at Nordstrom today. As an avid Nordstrom guest, I am familiar with the good service but today, Beth in womens activewear, was above and beyond. She was super helpful and recommended a new item that I absolutely love. I will definitely be back to shop with Beth again! The customer service was amazing. read more

Negative review. I do not want to even give ONE star. But theres no zero stars to choose. Goods are always not available. Never count on this store!!!! read more

As a new parent, all the stroller options could seem overwhelming. When I was pregnant, we would stop by the stroller section every time we were at a Nordstrom. The representatives knew nothing about the strollers. I really thought it was the norm until I came to this Nordstrom and meet Jesse Sanchez. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. He knows all the features and guides you through the different stroller options. I was so surprised by how helpful he is. I would totally recommend going with Jesse if you're overwhelmed with all the stroller/car seat options. He is amazing! read more

I came here specifically to check out Chanels new fragrance, hoping to get a sample before comiting to purchase, however the sales lady was very short with me when I asked for a decant, telling me they don't do that... when I know for a fact they do. Sorry lady, im not going to spend $90 on a perfume when theres a chance it may smell like burnt tires as ones body chemistry changes through the day. thumbs down fragrance counter lady. read more

Watch out! The clerks who work in the men's department will be climbing up your rear every 5 minutes! One clerk actually said, "You need help?" at which I responded "no" and she said, "Are you sure?". I was holding $300 worth of clothes. I put them back on the racks and walked out. NO MORE NORDSTROM. read more

I am disappointed in this Nordstrom's. For men's clothing, they have a limited selection of the men's collection. I think that I would rather go to another larger Nordstrom's like the one in Costa Mesa or in San Francisco. By the way, they do not have G-Star here as the G-Star website indicates it does. One salesperson said that they didn't have it and another salesperson said that they have a very limited selection. BTW, I looked where the salesperson said it would be and it was not there. The first salesperson didn't care to help me so I was not too happy about that. He was too busy trying to chat with his coworker. I am reading some of these recent views by other people, and to me it is so bogus. FYI, I am not paying Nordstrom prices to get crap service. read more

I started the trip to Nordstrom to see what their policy is about their own brands; I heard from a COSTCO patron they have a life-time warranty. After showing my unusually torn Nordstrom shirt, the saleswoman spoke with the manager, and was able to provide me with a similar shirt at no additional cost. She even said if the material is not to my liking, I can return that one as well! I am convinced that Nordstrom is the best Department store for quality and customer service that I'm aware of. All these years, I've been afraid to shop the store because of price, but that went away immediately, once I found they stand behind their merchandise, 100%. read more

I have never been treated poorly at a Nordstrom EVER. This was my first visit to this location. Never again! From the moment I walked up to make an exchange on a designer handbag, the sales lady was AGGRESSIVE and RUDE. I was kind and polite as I always am. I said and did nothing to warrant such unacceptable behavior. First, she tried to tell me that returns/exchanges cannot be made for designer merchandise. What? Since when? It was 100% that she was inept, inexperienced and inconvenienced that I came in about 45 minutes before closing. She asked me if I would like to speak to a manger and said to the manger, we have a "situation," as if I am some criminal. She behavior was appalling and absolutely unacceptable for a Nordstrom employee. I didn't even want to complete the transaction at that point. I will take my business to a different Nordstrom. I should have listened to the other reviews. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SHOP AT THIS NORDSTROM. She had to call a manager SINCE SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE AN EXCHANGE. She wouldn't know designer if it hit her in the face. She was unbelievably rude and unprofessional, I left there in tears practically. Very disappointed as a loyal Nordstrom cardholder for 10 years. read more

I have to agree with Diana Q on this one. Whatever you do, dont go to the Bobbi Brown counter. She has to be talking about the same two women that also have been there the past 3xs Ive been at their counter. At one point there were 3 women behind the counter, 2 doing nothing and 1 helping a customer..I stood there staring at them for at least 10 mins, I waited until that one girl was done and then she just walked away. I said 'excuse me, can you help me?' and she said, no, one of these girls can help you. Then the other two girls were gave a look like, oh! we didn't know you were standing there. I would go to Sephora but Im a sucker for getting my Nordstrom points on my visa. I think next time, Ill just go to the Dior counter. The girls that work behind that counter are way nicer. Update : They finally got rid of the Bobby Brown counter and now its on glass shelves and anyone can grab the product for you. Thank goodness I dont have to deal with those girls anymore read more

Private sale time! Love the opportunity for their Holiday private sales, not to eat or drink, but to SHOP! Lots of hors d'oeuvres and champagne, beers, and wines. Seems like so many people are there to stuff their face, showing little class. Deals are great and Nordy credit card customers earn 10 points per dollar! Danni at Le Labo/ Fragrance is incredible! A true professional and very knowledgeable. I was on the hunt for a particular scent that I wasn't even sure how to explain. Danni was so patient with me and spent the time to walk me through options and educate me on what I had been looking for months! I could not be happier with my experience and the service I received. Thank you! read more

This review is for my recent experience.Definitely a shout out to Veronica M.(business manager at Jo Malone)! SHE HELPED ME THROUGH THE MADNESS AND THE HASSLE EXPERIENCE THAT ANOTHER SALES GIRL PUT ME THROUGH! (Please read below for more info) I've been shopping here probably since I was young when they first came to Arcadia! I came last week to shop the unexpected early access anniversary sale, at first I stopped at the Jo Malone counter -- a sales girl was there who seemed very reluctant to help me. Every sample I picked up to smell, she didn't seem to say anything or ask if I needed help. Then there was a trio of Mom, daughter, and aunt who spoke mandarin whom came to test the Jo Malone fragrances, and this sales girl was ALLL OVER THEM. Is it because I spoke English?! Then, I asked about the exclusive Jo Malone sampler set deal for Nordstrom cardholders -- I forgot to bring my card that day, I asked if she would be able to look it up (I would know this, I've shopped here a lot), her words exactly: " you need to go upstairs to customer service and ask them to look it up for you. Then you come back down here to shop." Hmmmm, skeptically I did it anyways because I wanted the customer service personnel to hear about this. I waited in line at customer service center, the ladies were very kind! They were confused as to why I was even sent there in the first place! However, they still helped me look up my card, they told me that "NO SALES SHOULD EVER TELL ME TO DO THIS, all sales department can look up your card the register and call!" I said: "I know, i shop here a lot, but I was intrigued as to why that girl told me to do this and I wanted you guys to confirm my thoughts." Sadly, I don't know her name (I remember her face though -- so Nordstrom, if you ever contact me I can point her out at the store). Anyways, I got my card info and went to Jo Malone, how dare she came out and was like "so did you get your card?!" HA! She thought I'd give her my business?!! HECK NO. THANK GOODNESS for Veronica! She came out and saved the day! She even helped me shopped for all other things I wanted that day! SERIOUSLY, without her I don't know how I'd beat the crowd to get all my items from different brands! Veronica M. has become my own personal secret! I'll be contacting her for all my needs at Nordstrom!PLEASE NOMINATE HER AS EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH I LOVE VERONICA M! read more

Shoe department customer service is meh. Don't want to be mean, but it's an honest feedback off of my multiple [ personal ] experiences. Before and during covid. Often times the sales people don't put any effort to help a "poor looking" person like me. That's the vibe I get when I shop there. I'm not rich but I love shoes and I mainly shop at Nordstrom shoes department because of my small feet. Only Nordstrom carries size 4.5, 4. Thank you Nordstrom for carrying these sizes. I don't expect the salesperson to bend over backwards for me but I expect a little help when I ask for a particular brand, size, or style. read more

**Reviewed strictly for Clinique and Chanel cosmetics counters only!** CLINIQUE: Okay, so I have to admit, I probably look like I'm 16, but does that give you the right to ignore me Clinique rep? I'm the type that already knows what she wants coming into the store, so it takes a mere 5 minutes for the entire transaction to finish. Granted, there were three other ladies around the counter, but only two of them had already been helped! Another woman (in her 40s) approached the counter and was instantly greeted. Stood there for about 10 minutes before I was helped (and it was a 3 minute transaction). I'll be taking my Clinique purchases elsewhere. CHANEL: Came in last week to check if they had the Fall nail colors in stock. The rep said they'd be in next friday. Stopped by the following Friday and YES SCORE THEY WERE THERE! Peridot, you are amazing. The rep didn't seem like she liked her job, but when I had hesitations about trying the lipsticks, she graciously offered to clean them for me. Thanks! :) read more

This review is for Danny in the kids department. Even though he did not get my sell of a nuna car seat and stroller he went far and beyond in helping me. He was not bothered and helped me assemble the stroller and place the car seat properly in my car. This is what a consumer looks at great costumer service. Great job Danny. I hope Nordstrom appreciates this amazing employee. Will be going back to Danny for future sells. If you have a baby of child go to him. read more

I've been coming to this Nordstroms forever and ever. It's funny how there's always an Asian person working within reach so you may fare fine without speaking English if you're Asian. No other Nordstroms can boast this feature, except maybe the one in South Coast Plaza. The service has always been exceptional. It's Nordstroms. I found out today from the shoe department that they price match. What's funny though, is that it doesn't really help. What they have in stock are items that are brand new, "in" for the season. My bf wanted to get the Sperry Gold Cup Top Siders in the Sahara color. I looked online and no one has it for under the price of $160, so it was purchased for that price. My bf's mom liked the Sam Edelman Felicia ballet flats in nude leather. Yup, no one has it for less than the offered price of $100, so full price it was. But the best find of all today was my Baby G watch in clear pink jelly. I've seen these watches years ago, and haven't seen them since. I wanted them so badly, I even thought of buying them from sketchy websites, where authenticity and warranty were questionable. I'm so glad we all stopped by this Nordstroms today. So, as I said, their price match guarantee doesn't really help except give you the peace of mind that you're getting quality items that people are willing to pay exactly what you're paying to get them. Note: If you don't already have a Nordstroms account, open one. If you spend $100 on the day you open the account, they will send you a $20 Nordstrom Note (it's a gift certificate) within two weeks. The Nordstrom Note may be used at any Nordstroms or Nordstroms Rack. read more

Nice and clean, really nice staff. Shout out to the staff at the children's shoes section, they hooked us up with helium balloons. That particular department is always very clean, tidy, and the displays show the latest and greatest kids' shoes. read more

First off I will start with... I was a manager at Nordstrom for 4 years back in the day when customer service was still alive. I have been buying the same bras at Nordstrom for 5 years every anniversary sale. The brand has gone from a third party brand and then Nordstrom started making the same bra under their own brand Halogen.... now they are Caslon. This year they changed the straps to where you can't adjust them too much which is not really helpful for those who have to buy bigger cup sizes but need tighter straps. I went in to see if their alterations could sew the straps to make them tighter since they have changed the style. $10 a bra to fix. I was shocked. I asked to talk to the LOFT ( leader of the floor ) who gave me a line of crap. I won't be going here again. This was the last item I continued to purchase from Nordstrom after I left working for them. read more

My go to store is Nordstrom, just not this location. The SAs at the depts that I went to are not friendly at all. Shoe dept- Not very friendly. Handbag dept- Not friendly Cosmetics- I stand at the counter for about 10 min before someone helps me. I'm very disappointed with this location. Nordstrom takes pride in their customer service. Unfortunately, this location is a FAIL!!! read more

This is a review on my online/in-store experience: I ordered a men's money clip as a gift via online and the process was seamless. I requested my item to be ready in-store so that I could have the gift sooner. The order was ready within less than 24 hours and I signed up for text messaging so I knew right away when it was ready. However, my main complaint was the presentation of the item. I ordered a Tumi money clip and it came solely as a clip with a white generic Nordstrom logo paper bag. No packaging whatsoever. It looked like it was a sample product... no original box, nothing besides a clip shoved in a bag that you would get if you made copies at Kinkos/Office Depot....yet I paid full price for the item (one of my major no-nos as a shopaholic). The appearance was distasteful and I was honestly ashamed to be giving this as a gift. One of the service representatives agreed that it should have been better presented, and he wrapped it up, found the Tumi packaging and the issue was resolved after a visit to the Men's furnishing area. Why couldn't they have done this in the first place? read more

This used to be a great store but in the last 4 to 5 years it has had awful customer service. I have been shopping at this store since it opened and I loved it. Then, slowly things changed and it has gone down hill. I had a problem with a large purchase I made. Up to this point I really never have had a problem here. I tried to resolve it with the department manager but was unsuccessful. She told me to contact the store manager so I did but she would not return my calls or emails so I could resolve the issue. When I finally tracked her down she basically accused me of being in the wrong and had a very nasty attitude. I asked her to check my history so she could see I was a good customer with no issues up to that point. She really didn't care and said I could return it but the whole thing just put a nasty taste in my mouth. At that point I stopped shopping there and I don't even walking through the store. I will take the long way into the mall. Never will I give them a penny ever again! read more

Nordstrom has always maintained a consistent high level of customer service. I've been a long time customer and am amazed. The associates at the Santa Anita store is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always treat their customers good. Their alteration team is also excellent. Most of my items gets tailored by them. Zarick and Annie are my 2 fav seamstress. The energy and vibe at Nordstrom is truly different than other department stores! read more

employees here are super racist. only the ones who "look" like you will serve you. so no matter the order you came, they will help someone else because they think they speak the same language. also, a ton of the sections have no stock of anything we wanted to see and the ladies told us they can order it online for us and ship it home. i can literally do that myself then, not sure what's the point of a brick and mortar store at that point. stock your stores better! read more

Today I was treated very disrespectfully at this location in the Men's Sportswear department by the Manager, Janet Lee. For someone that should be teaching customer service to her employees, she sure is doing a better job of teaching them that yelling and talking down to customers is what the norm should be. As I was speaking to her employees about things, she tells me that I am distracting them from working and that if I'm going to talk to go stand somewhere else and do it. I told her I was shopping in the department and she responded with "Oh really?, I see nothing in your arms" I then got very upset and left the location. This department will never receive any of my MONEY EVER AGAIN. I have never been so disrespected and made to feel like I'm a burden. read more

4.4 stars! Very classy and glamorous department store! I pretty much only "window shop" here cause otherwise it'd suck my wallet dry. Always friendly staff when you come to this Nordstrom. I've shopped in most departments - shoes, make up, accessories, jewelry, Encore, lingerie, and even eaten at the Nordstrom Cafe. Everyone is accommodating and friendly, so you do feel like you're getting a more upscale shopping experience. Only knock on this store is the majority clientele are just rude. This isn't the store's fault, and they do try to deal with it well. Doesn't stop me from coming in - I just try to adjust my times to early morning or evening. read more

I haven't go to Nordstrom since Covid. Today decided to go lunch with one of my good friends and stop by Nordstrom downstairs at the dress shoes area. My friends bought three dress shoes for her son. The lady name "Evata" cashier (look middle eastern or arabic her accent) according to her. I asked her name cus she had such bad attitude to be work at Nordstrom. Never smile, give us items kinda throw at us, and we asked questions she answered with an attitude like don't bother me. Are you serious?! We spent money here to pay for your salary. I thought they have the best customer service at Nordstrom. I was wrong. Customer service here is a downhill. Management pls train them at least smiles or if they don't want to be there keep them with a position not seeing ppl. "Evata" do not belong in customer service. I love shop at Nordstrom but after this incident I consider go Bloomingdale's instead. Most of time I ordered online cus of pandemic. I will stay away from this toxic environment location. read more

Ask for Tania she is such a hard working and pleasant person to help you get all of your shoe shopping done in one swoop!

I was here last night purchasing a watch. I went in and new exactly what I wanted. Well I knew the style but was indecisive about the color. I was helped by Raquel. She was so sweet because I was taking my time and couldn't figure out if black or gunmetal was better looking. When I finally came to my decision, I asked her for a new watch and not the one on display. She searched her locked drawers and even called a different department looking for the watch and could not find it. She checked the system and it showed that it was in stock so she checked the back one last time and found them! Even though she went out of her way to look for the watch I wanted, I still wanted one that was brand spanking new in the original box it came in with the plastic film on the watch, extra links in the box, with some kind of pamphlet and these watches didn't have it. She mentioned that they do have it but the way it gets shipped to them is different from the way it gets shipped to customers. She recommend me placing an order and it will arrive in a few days. So even though I didn't get to leave with watch in hand, I really appreciate her customer service skills because I felt like she went above and beyond to make me happy and she had a smile on her face the entire time. I also wanted to add, I wasn't the only customer she was helping. She was also dealing with a Gucci Rep. at the same time and one other lady but I felt like her focus was on me. I told her since I was still deciding, she can help the others out. Which she did but she checked on me frequently. So she placed my order and it should arrive in a few days! I can't wait to see it! read more

Everytime I am at Santa Anita Mall, I have to come into Nordy. I love Nordy! I love shopping here, so does everyone else at home as well. I recently discovered their buy online and pick up in store. By all time, the best thing ever also the worst. Now I am constantly shopping online at work and swinging by the mall to pick up my beloved items right after work. Oh, online shopping also allows me to earn cash back! I bought: - Shoes ( I love buying my (kids) Uggs here! Always in stock!) - Purses & Wallets - Make Up (for self & ask gits) - Clothes (found a very nice dress to attend a wedding in a few weeks) - Accessories Customer service is for sure rated 5 stars all across, every single sales associate is very friendly, nice, and helpful. Its kind of creepy in a way, but they are always smiling. Hum.. I love how they have their new section, Designer Handbags, everytime I walk by, I am drooling for a new fancy purse. Hopefully soon, I will be able to purse a pretty purse with a matching wallet from Nordy. read more
