Gotta stop by Nordy's when coming to Westfield Santa Anita/Arcadia. I would prefer this store over the Glendale store normally. Great Nordy service, good brands not for everyone. Great return and exchange policy makes you really happy to shop here. Had some issues with my shoe after about 6 monthes and they just took it back and gave me a new one on the spot. This kind of service does not exist anymore. Great parking, covered and uncovered by parking structure. They even have valet if you need it. read more

This store is very discriminating! If you don't look like you fit their "status" meaning like you have money, they don't even say hello! The shoe department being the most unhelpful. If you know Arcadia, you know what I mean. I was there again today, and no one ever says hi, and I made eye contact with this guy standing by the mall entrance and I asked why all the shoes were always dirty? He said we can't keep up with the cleaning if everyone is trying them on. Funny thing is they're always standing and talking to each other while they can maintain the shoes. All the insides are filthy. I have worked retail all my life and customer service is KEY!! Especially if they're on commission and the online shopping is really happening. Luckily there's one nice guy who works there and he happens to be off every time I'm there. I will be trying to get Ruben to help me find my shoes and get the commission. Nordstrom needs to bring customer service back! read more

Will not shop in their purse department again. I wanted to purchase a lovely purse as a splurge for myself. However, the unfriendly vibes and lack of greeting or even help with items, led me to go elsewhere....wow what an unfriendly store. read more

All I can say is DISAPPOINTED! I've heard so many good things about Nordstrom's over the years and my experience was anything but good. My daughter had to return shoes she received as a gift because of the wrong size. The cashier should have looked online for the product and he didn't. My daughter found the shoes online in her own and orders them with the gift card BUT Nordstrom's had an issue processing THEIR OWN GIFT CARD. We finally got it squared away only to find they now cancelled her order and the shoes are now out of stock. Why did they cancel when she purchased them and secured them eventually with the card? People are friendly but unable to solve problems which has left my daughter disappointed. read more

I had a random itch at 2AM on Friday to look at some Kate Spade (RIP) purses. I wasn't even sure what I was looking for until this cute pink Kate Spade iPhone Cross Body Bag ($100) popped up on Nordstrom's website! There were two options to choose from for me to receive my cute bag: (1) free shipping to my house which would take 1-2 weeks or (2) free pick up at the nearest Nordstrom (only within a few hours)! I was so shocked when they emailed me 4 hours later stating my bag was ready for pick up :D I was so ecstatic because I got to utilize it just in time for that same night! The email stated I had 2 options for picking up at Nordstrom: (1) go to the online pick up area or (2) curbside pick up. WHAT. There is a curbside pick up?! They provided a phone number, so you can just contact them then sit in your car while they deliver your package to your car haha that is so awesome (and lazy lol). I love carrying light, so this bag had just enough room for my new iPhone, and 3 credit card slots. Because I don't have the iPhone plus, I was also able to stick my car key underneath my phone in the bag, and it fits SO perfectly! This is super lightweight and such a cute little bag with a metal cross body chain that goes with everything. Donna at the pick up was so down to earth and super friendly! It was easy to talk to her and I was so so excited to use my new bag! I wasn't able to find this bag anywhere else (not even on the official Kate Spade website), but I am extremely glad I ordered from Nordstrom. Their online process is so efficient, QUICK, and smooth! I couldn't believe it only took a few hours for them to respond back even though I placed the order at 2AM! This has been one of the most amazing experiences I've had for purchasing anything online. I am definitely a new fan and will be a frequent shopper here :) read more

Great experience when I bought some jewelry. I was looking for the right piece and the most helpful, friendly sales associate helped me. Her name was Kathy, and she sells in the Bony Levy section. She was so professional and really knows her stuff! I highly recommend her if you are looking to buy any jewelry from Nordstroms. She was so knowledgable and really took the time with me to make sure I was happy with my piece. She is amazing and Nordstroms is lucky to have such an incredible employee who not only knows her stuff, but treats her customers with respect and hospitality. How can you not love Nordys! It is always clean, organized and the service is the best. I love that when you buy a suit, they tailor it for you and I love getting handwritten cards from the sales person later asking how I enjoyed my purchase. They have an amazing return policy as well, if you are unsatisfied for any reason, but usually you won't be.. unsatisfied that is... because everything they retail.. rocks! I bought my favorite pair of Marc Jacobs heels here... read more

This the Nordstrom that is nearest to my house. It's a slightly smaller one than some others (like Glendale, The Grove or South Coast Plaza), so it has less selection and a fewer less brands. One noticeable difference for me is the lack of Fidelity Denim. Nordstrom has the best return policy, so I try to buy more items here rather than other department stores. Although, I am not a big shopper. I usually go to Nordstrom with my friends who like to shop. The best time to buy items from Nordstrom are during their sales, which happen a couple of times a year (June and December for guys) or the Annual sale in July. Buying stuff online from nordstrom.com is also an excellent way to save and you can get free shipping and free returns. Xie Xie! read more

Received the absolute WORST service possible by Savannah in the women's department. She rolled her eyes when I asked for help and jokingly told her friend I was "too big to fit into that outfit ". We looked to be about the same size so l'm not sure if she was deflecting her own personal issues? When I requested assistance in locating a certain style she told me to ask another employee because she was "busy", and proceeded to answer a FaceTime call on her phone. Management, please do better. Savannah clearly does not uphold the standard of service I'm accustomed to receiving at Nordstrom. Very disappointing because I typically receive great service at this department from OTHER team members. No one deserves to be treated this way! read more

Most uncomfortable shopping experience I have had, customer service has really gone downhill. The employees of POV prefer to act like they are busy and are rude. Hopefully upper management can offer training to their team so they can improve . Meanwhile, I will make the drive to Neiman Marcus where I can enjoy my shopping experience. PS- they discriminate based on appearance. read more

This review is solely for Rosa Avella at the Lingerie department. I've been going to her for the past 3 years and I love her. She's pure magic. She always finds the right size, the right fit and makes sure you're happy. It might seem crazy to some that I am writing this review about a lingerie salesperson but for all the females out there I'm sure you would agree with me on how important it is to find someone who can help you find "everything right" when it comes to lingerie. Nordstrom is known for excellent customer service, but I really have never experienced that. I have only experienced average or subpar. There have been a few times when I have come to the half yearly end sale and would find that I would be overly charged. One example is when my mom purchased a pair of shoes for $75. When we got home, she removed the sticker on the back of the shoe and found another tag underneath it with a $60 price tag... how disappointing. I think the prices during the half yearly end sale are still a bit high for some of their items and so I rarely purchase anything from Nordstrom nowadays. One thing I do like about Nordstrom is their selection of wedding dresses on line and in store (not this location though, only selected store locations have it). Another thing I like about Nordstrom is their free wifi, which is actually pretty quick. read more

Nordstrom will always be one of my go-to shopping places. It has everything! This review will be for my horrible experience at their higher end handbag section. I felt very insulted by the taller man who had orangey/blonde hair. I was shopping for a Burberry purse for my mom as a Christmas present. Since I work at a restaurant nearby, I was wearing my work uniform (so i guess this meant that I looked like I couldnt afford anything). I was standing next to this lady -- whom that orange haired man immediately offered so much help to-- versus me, who received no acknowledgement at all even when I was there before her. That customer ended up going to the kate spade side and I ended up wanting the Burberry purse. Since I felt that the orange haired associate was being judgmental of me, I pursued the purchase with a different associate. As I was checking out, that orange haired associate had the audacity to give me advice about the purse. Sorry, I don't need your help anymore. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. By far the worst shopping experience I've ever had. This is not an exaggeration, and it's not just the santa anita location, it's Nordstrom in general. Found some earrings online to purchase, the button to purchase literally said "pick up tomorrow" right next to it. I go to pick it up, and they said "no it's not here will be here tomorrow", managers said there is fine print hidden that says if you order after a certain time its the day after, yet I pressed a button that said "purchase now pick up tomorrow". Decided to have them ship it to my house, the woman I spoke with said they would do it Monday and I would get confirmation, never heard from them so I called on Tuesday and nothing happened, they didn't ship it. I asked for a confirmation so another woman sent me a receipt that had NO INFO on it, no tracking number or anything, literally a blank receipt that said $0 with no product. Not even my name on it. So after a couple more hours of getting hung up on and being placed on hold, I finally was able to get the store manager on the phone. She took care of everything and sent me a tracking number etc. But wait, that's not it...ready for the kicker? The earrings, or earring I should say arrived. It was literally ONE earring. Going back to check the site in tiny fine print on a bullet point, about 4 bullet points down it says its ONE earring, not a pair. Not to mention is was super tiny for $200. Nothing but deceit and BS. Screw this place, will never shop here again. read more

I came here looking for a pant suit to wear at job interviews and with the help of awesome sales associate, Kathryn, I was able to walk away with a suit purchase that was reasonably priced and looked sleek yet professional. Kathryn was extremely attentive, personable, and made sure I was satisfied with the final pick of the pant suit, also giving honest feedback about how the pant suit looked and if it was too long, too short, and if it needed to be hemmed a tad on the jacket sleeves. Since I have a petite frame, she searched extensively for black slacks in sizes 0 and 2, aiming to find the same shade of black to match the jacket's hue. The blazer jacket was on sale, but the pants were not, however I received exceptional customer service at my most recent visit here and plan to come back soon to look for a white Oxford style shirt to complete my pant suit. This is one of the better Nordstrom stores in the San Gabriel Valley area and the customer service has only improved over the years at this location. read more

This is the worst Nordstrom for customer service. I went to return a Christmas gift with the receipt, the original form of payment was cash, and they wanted to give me a gift card. I explained that it was bought with cash and I would like the cash back. The employee needed to get a manager, manager stated that he can only give store credit even with a receipt, he said new policy. I asked to speak to another manager and then (Ashley ) stated that that's the policy and this one time she will give me my cash back. I didn't mind getting the store credit, it was just they way they come at you. Like they are doing you a favor by giving you your money back. Very rude and unprofessional! read more

I was browsing on Nordstrom.com for a bag to bring to an upcoming work event. I finally narrowed down my options and selected the bag on Saturday evening. Due to the timing of my work event, I chose the "Buy & Pick Up" option. I arrived at Nordstrom on Sunday morning and went to the Handbag department on the 1st floor. The associate told me that I had to go to the designated area on the 2nd floor. I didn't recall getting an email with instructions on how to pick up my order. In any case, I took the escalator upstairs and was greeted by an associate who asked me for my first and last name. There were racks / shelves with the orders placed in alphabetical order. The handbag was already placed inside a Nordstrom shopping bag so I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Overall, I love the convenience factor! It was an un-bag-gettable experience. I didn't have to worry about my package getting delayed in delivery or stolen off my porch. read more

This may not be the biggest or most impressive Nordstrom in LA, but it's by far my favorite. I've found so many gems here, shoes, clothing, bags, everything. The customer service is honestly the best. I came in yesterday looking for a replacement backing to some Monica Vinader stud earrings I bought a few years ago, and they miraculously had the exact backing. The gal didn't give me any trouble about seeing a receipt, she was just genuinely excited that she helped me find what I need. I also found a great pair of AGL boots, on sale, and in my size, which is unheard of. ALSO, pro-tip: they have buy-2-get-one-free mascara events a few times a year, and I just happened to be out of Diorshow ($30 a pop). The sales woman advance-ordered them for me since I was a day early for the sale. That's honestly a steal! No more paying full price at Sephora. Also, I had the absolute best conversation with the woman. Another thing I love here is that the girls who work in lingerie are super duper knowledgeable about lingerie. It sounds weird but underwear is complicated and personal, but I've never gone wrong after taking recommendations from the sales girls. Overall, every time I come here I leave feeling good about myself, which is kind of the point of shopping lol. Keep up the good work Nordy. read more

I have lost count of the times I have been to this Nordstrom and the staff are sales in the clothing are usually friendly. This review is solely for the staff in the pickup area. Over the last few years I have only used the pickup service 4 times and 3 out of the 4 was horrible. The last two times were a complete joke. I walked up and the associate asked for my last name and I said my last name. She looks at me and goes NO YOUR LAST NAME as if I did not know my own last name. I proceed to repeat the same last name and said that was the last name. The associate next to her said oh I remember yes I saw her box came in earlier with that last name. No apology, and the other associate hands me my item so I just leave. This last time I went to pick up my items. The associate Scott asks me what my last name is. I told him the last name. He said what are the items? I said I think a dress, shirts and something else? (I couldn't remember if the associate I ordered from a few days ago shipped the items to me or did a store pickup, since she did whichever would get it to me the fastest.) He comes back with one box and he opens it and it was only the dress. I said oh I believe there are some other items missing. He tells me oh I don't have X-ray vision I can't see what's inside the box. I said well I didn't say you have X-ray vision I'm just saying that there is still some items missing. He said "it's a joke" in a sarcastic manner. He goes and comes back and said no there's nothing else. I said I'm pretty sure there is as I have the confirmation it was delivered. He comes back with a small box and says oh they placed the box somewhere else and well I don't think there's much inside since the box is so small. He opens the box and there were two shirts. I took the two shirts and put it in my bag and proceed to leave and I can hear him saying something behind my back and laughing to another associate. I know I have another item which was a pair of pants to pickup, but I didn't even want to bother picking it up anymore after that experience. read more

I used to really enjoy shopping here but lately I feel like I am so easily over looked. I went to stop by the MAC counter and nobody wanted to help me. I had to ask at another counter if there was anyone who worked at Nordstrom that wanted to make a sale. They directed me to the MAC counter but could also see that I wasn't being helped. They apologized up and down but when I asked the associate for some help, they had NO CLUE what I was talking about. I was looking for a particular blush color. They had NO idea that it was a blush. I told them it was a blush but they coldly told me that they didn't think that I knew what the product was or that maybe I had the name completely incorrect. Gee, thanks. Way to encourage me to want to work with you. Yes, insults. That's wonderful. I ended up going through their drawers of products on my own and wasn't able to find the product that I was looking for, although they had one on display. Forget it. I ended up going to another few departments at the store. I was still over looked. I was passed up in the shoe department. I was ignored at the Chanel counter for makeup stuff. I was ignored in the kids shoes. I was given the evil sort of side eye in the hand bag department. It was NOT a good day. I wasn't dressed like a slob at all. In fact, I was wearing what a lot of other shoppers were: jeans, clean air max, a simple open cardigan with a plain t-shirt underneath, and my hair pulled back and ready to do some shopping. I guess I don't look like I qualify to shop at Nordstroms. Miserable shopping experience! read more

I love Nordstrom but I felt very violated by my experience here with a teller (Alexis) at the jewelry section. She made it very apparent that she was worried that I was going to steal an item that I had been looking at. Do you know how uncomfortable it is to have someone breathing down your neck, obviously pulling items away from your reach, not even trying to make conversation with you, but just watching as if you were going to steal something. She also searched me down for a tag that wasn't even on the necklace in the first place. I couldn't even enjoy browsing for more items. I did end up buying what I had came for but that sale was absolutely of no help from her. I understand that's your job, but at least do it discreetly. It's very rude. read more

The employees that work here have some of the worst customer service skills I have ever come across. I don't know where to start. Came into the Nordstrom store in my neighborhood. An older lady, Anna in the handbags area was very nice and greeted me after she was done with a customer. I ask her about a discount that Bloomingdales was having. She was accommodating and i was able to help assist me in what I was looking for. She proceeded to help me, but was unsure about the discount and proceeded to ask her area manager. A few moments later, a younger Mexican lady came over and asked about my inquiry. I proceeded to show her not only the live sale Bloomingdales was having until 9/26. She turned and said that she couldn't honor what their competitors could do for their customers and said there are many rules that do not fit their price match policy. I kept it professional and left. To all NORDSTROM SHOPPERS, please check BLOOMINGDALES, SAKS FIFTH AVE and NEIMAN MARCUS for their percentage off before purchasing anything from these crooks.
