I"m not one to give any retailer or restaurant a 1 star, but this is probably only one time I will do this since I felt I was misleaded by the salesman at Nordstorm and I literally felt it but thought oh it probably isn't true. Anyhow, last Christmas time I was casually shopping at Nordstorm and they had a promotion - spend a certain amount and you will get sent a promotional gift card/note. Usually, they would send the note through your account but this time they said email which I was a bit hesitant because who knows if that will get to you. It's like a he said she said and your screwed. So, I bought my item and I waited and looked in my email in Jan, Feb, Mar, no email from Nordstorm whatsever. Then, I thought okay it's Covid time maybe there's a lag. So, I decided to let it go. I recently thought maybe I can find out what happened. So, I called customer service and not one but three were very unaccomdating (For example: they would make me wait for awhile on the call, check up on me, then wait awhile again) and that they sent an email and I never used it so it expired. Wonderful, my instincts were right, it was probably a scam to make you shop a certain amount. Do not fall for the promotional gift cards. Do the Note from the Nordstrom card instead. Also, with the customer service experience I received from about 3 reps, I decided to cut all ties with Nordstorm and closed all my accounts. I didn't feel the loyalty I should have with them after my situation with them. It's probably a blessing in disguise to stop shopping as well! I know it's a tough time right now and that it's really hard for retailers but not seeing an email and letting me know they sent it didn't foot with me. CHANEL cosmetics... After years of avoiding assistance from sales personnel... I am pleased to say.... my attitude was dramatically changed by Vera in Chanel cosmetics... Nordstrom's , Arcadia. For once... I am so grateful for her expertise & personal attn... without the annoying pushing of products not appropriate for me but on the shelf. Be aware that associates at this store engage in racial profiling. My Hispanic teenage son was shopping with me and was told he could not sample the cologne because he wasn't going to buy anything. Other customers were sampling colognes to their hearts content but my son was singled out. To assume that he couldn't afford to buy anything and to prevent him from shopping based on his appearance is infuriating. Well. This afternoon I was feeling especially homebound and cabin feverish so I opted for a random visit to wander through racks. I park as I always have in the structure adjacent to the entrance of Nordstrom's children's section right by the fish aquarium within the shoe shop. Nothing struck my fancy although I did find some "fun " socks and intriguing underwear.... The mens suit department is lacking at anything statement making. As someone who's been shopping at Nordstrom stores across the country since I was a child in a stroller, this has to be one of my least favorite locations. Now that this is one of the closest locations to me, I kept coming back to save time and because they do have a great selection, BUT the employees are not friendly/ not helpful. There is a serious need for training here. Don't let the designer brands fool you, once you have to engage with someone, it's all downhill from there. Today's experience encouraged me to write this review because I came to the store (for the second time in a few weeks) looking for a dress, this time for my friends wedding. I picked a few things for myself before an associate offered to start a fitting room for me and asked my name, all normal things. I asked for help finding a certain type of dress which she did her best finding. What I didn't appreciate was the service afterwards. I was told there were more options of what I was looking for by Allsaints, and I love Allsaints. Then the sales person proceeded to tell me "but they're like $200...". Ok so, let's see the dresses! She came back with nothing. I understand if there's no more but I wasn't offered a photo or to view the dress and order online or anything. That's fine, so I tried her recommendations and a dress I found from Farm Rio. I selected two great options but during the try on she came up after I was already dressed and asked how it went, I told her I may need more sizes and would need to compare and may need someone from alterations to come in. She then asked me what happened to one of the dresses she brought, I showed her it was hanging on the hook behind the door and it didn't fit well. She took all the dresses and came back with new sizes but took the originals in the storage room... I thought this was quite odd considering I hadn't officially said no to everything she took. When she came back I asked for Spanx to try on with the new and old sizes and when we got to the fitting room I asked her if it was necessary to keep taking the dresses when I need to try things on with the spanx and I'm waiting on a seamstress. She apologized and brought the dress I needed altered back. It was a very strange encounter and then her parting words felt more uncomfortable when she asked if I'd done Speech or Debate because I spoke so eloquently and was so myself with expressing myself. I don't typically have much to say about department store employees, but as a highly educated minority female, in my professional opinion this store needs some employee training opportunities on diversity & inclusion and effective communication. read more

I just left customer service the lady that helped me was nice . I once returned a high end brand Tory Burch few years back south coast never had an issue . Today I tried to return balenciaga because I couldn't do an exchange they sold out on the LT sneaker online . I come to purchase high end designer stuff...after dealing with the manager from the shoe department I will never come back to this Nordstrom again! The manager Vury was very unprofessional! She didn't help with my purchase. I had questions and she kept waking away and not returning. I called and asked to speak with a manager and she answered and put me on hold for 27:33 minutes and did not return back to the phone to tell me to continue to hold! I hung up and called again and she made me wait another 11 minutes without coming back! If she was professional she would have taken my number and called me back! One of my favorite Nordstrom stores! The layout is pretty intuitive with shoes/men's/kids/handbags/cosmetics on the bottom floor and women's/juniors apparel on the top. I typically shop in the Topshop and trend sections and am always welcomed in and assisted with finding items or getting a fitting room. I also occasionally shop in the women's shoes section and appreciate the large number of circulating employees to help customers. Although Nordstrom can be a bit pricey, I enjoy shopping here because of the quality of items and great customer service. They have a wonderful return policy and I appreciate the employees' patience in looking up previous transactions. Overall, I highly recommend shopping at Nordstrom and am consistently impressed with the service and cleanliness of this store. read more

I went to this MAC store located in Nordstrom yesterday to recycle old make up . First...I'm sorry to see this wonderful program being discontinued this week. But I really wanted to compliment the staff in the store . Elliott was so courteous and helpful over the phone and said he wouldn't be in the next day but he would tell staff I was coming in and to take care of me. I figured he'd get busy and forget. When I went in Jasmin immediately said "Carol?" That made me feel so cared for and she helped me exchange a brand new but old mascara that got pushed to the back and forgotten. They really spent time with me and didn't make me feel like an old lady who didn't know what she was doing. This will be my store of choice when buying for my daughter and granddaughter. Came for a curbside service...and of course, all the curbside service designated parking spaces were taken. Another car was there to pick up an order and had to park illegally on the spaces w/ diagonal white lines. I ended up having to do that too because no one left after waiting for 15 minutes. Not only is this extremely inconvenient but I am at risk of a parking ticket. This is absolutely ridiculous. Terrible on behalf of Nordstrom not taking any action to regulate these DESIGNATED curbside services spaces. Probably won't come back for awhile if this will always be the case. read more

I typically don't leave reviews for retail shops but this Nordstrom's was pretty impressive! Their clothing selection was amazing! They have really great offerings of lounge wear and athletic wear. Everything felt so soft and comfy. I found that they have a large variety of more affordable clothing and luxury items which is nice if you're not looking to spend more than a couple hundred. Mostly, I was surprised by how wonderful the service was. Nicole assisted me and was incredibly helpful and nice. She was able to get a fitting room started for me, offer clothing recommendations, grab me additional sizes, and didn't try to obviously upsell like they do at many other retail stores. If you're looking for a new wardrobe this is the place to check out! They had a great selection of Reformation, TopShop, Astr, Northface, KUT jeans, and I even spotted a couple of Lulu's items. It was also incredibly organized! After coming here and then heading over to Macy's we walked right out of the Macy's because it was so cluttered and hard to navigate in comparison. read more

She was so professional and really knows her stuff! I highly recommend her if you are looking to buy any jewelry from Nordstroms. This store is very discriminating! If you don't look like you fit their "status" meaning like you have money, they don't even say hello! The shoe department being the most unhelpful. If you know Arcadia, you know what I mean. I was there again today, and no one ever says hi, and I made eye contact with this guy standing by the mall entrance and I asked why all the shoes were always dirty? He said we can't keep up with the cleaning if everyone is trying them on. Funny thing is they're always standing and talking to each other while they can maintain the shoes. All the insides are filthy. I have worked retail all my life and customer service is KEY!! Especially if they're on commission and the online shopping is really happening. Luckily there's one nice guy who works there and he happens to be off every time I'm there. I will be trying to get Ruben to help me find my shoes and get the commission. During my freshman year in college I took a marketing class and they had a study on Nordstrom's where a guy brought a set of tires to return even though Nordstrom did sell tires the man was able to get money for them. I thought that was crazy. So I went and bought a pair of Bally shoes and after the wearing them a few times and didn't like the feel I returned them with no issues after nine months. Fast forward to 2019 I received a Christmas present with a receipt no problems but I also had two prior presents from I wanna say three years ago that I received and never got around to returning them. I misplaced the receipt and the typical tags that are placed on an in person purchase was not on the package because they were ordered online. The items didn't ring up when scanned and apparently they couldn't see any history in their system. I recall looking at one of the two purchased items back when I received costed about $90 which I got because of no receipt $79. I totally like the way they treat their guests and I have never experienced negativity from the sales representatives. It's always a pleasure to shop there. read more

I've experienced nothing short of great customer service that is friendly and prompt. I've ordered online for women's clothings and picked it up within 10 minutes. Both at this location and others. I also was able to purchase some items in the make up section within a 10 minute timeframe. Why the obsession with time? There are registers everywhere. They're extremely fast. I have places to be and like to move with purpose. I love Nordstrom and it continues to be my favorite chain because of the quality of items, the great yearly sales, and the ease of shopping both online and in-store. I love to browse slowly as well and they're accommodating to that as well. I was so happy to see Nordstrom is carrying Charlotte Tilbury. You basically can buy candles for your boyfriend's sister, pick up some Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in pillowtalk (which btw is flattering on everyone), pick up shoes for your nieces and heck even a YSL bag. This place is always neat and tidy whenever I'm there, which I really appreciate. There are plenty of attendents and dressing rooms so you can get help almost anywhere you go, and the ladies that helped me went out of their way to look for different sizes and styles that might work with what I was looking for. All I can say is DISAPPOINTED! I've heard so many good things about Nordstrom's over the years and my experience was anything but good. My daughter had to return shoes she received as a gift because of the wrong size. The cashier should have looked online for the product and he didn't. My daughter found the shoes online in her own and orders them with the gift card BUT Nordstrom's had an issue processing THEIR OWN GIFT CARD. We finally got it squared away only to find they now cancelled her order and the shoes are now out of stock. Why did they cancel when she purchased them and secured them eventually with the card? I had a random itch at 2AM on Friday to look at some Kate Spade (RIP) purses. I wasn't even sure what I was looking for until this cute pink Kate Spade iPhone Cross Body Bag ($100) popped up on Nordstrom's website! There were two options to choose from for me to receive my cute bag: (1) free shipping to my house which would take 1-2 weeks or (2) free pick up at the nearest Nordstrom (only within a few hours)! I was so shocked when they emailed me 4 hours later stating my bag was ready for pick up :D I was so ecstatic because I got to utilize it just in time for that same night! The email stated I had 2 options for picking up at Nordstrom: (1) go to the online pick up area or (2) curbside pick up. WHAT. There is a curbside pick up?! They provided a phone number, so you can just contact them then sit in your car while they deliver your package to your car haha that is so awesome (and lazy lol). I love carrying light, so this bag had just enough room for my new iPhone, and 3 credit card slots. Because I don't have the iPhone plus, I was also able to stick my car key underneath my phone in the bag, and it fits SO perfectly! This is super lightweight and such a cute little bag with a metal cross body chain that goes with everything. Donna at the pick up was so down to earth and super friendly! It was easy to talk to her and I was so so excited to use my new bag! I wasn't able to find this bag anywhere else (not even on the official Kate Spade website), but I am extremely glad I ordered from Nordstrom. Their online process is so efficient, QUICK, and smooth! I couldn't believe it only took a few hours for them to respond back even though I placed the order at 2AM! This has been one of the most amazing experiences I've had for purchasing anything online.
