Over all I really like this place. As you can tell Bob my name I really enjoy curry. Vindaloo is my go to favorite, and finding a good vindaloo in Texas very hard to do. A good vindaloo should be spicy and bring the heat. A good vindaloo should make you sweat and enjoy all the spices that make you hotter than hot. Noon Mirch makes a very respectable plate of Vindaloo. Vindaloo is my baseline for all Indian food. It brings on a mild sweat from all of the spices. If you are new to Indian food spiciness and want to try something that is definitely out of most people's comfort zone. You should try the vindaloo here. read more

Was at Noon Mirch recently. We found the food to be outstanding. The service was quick. The restaurant has a modern vibe to it and is pleasant to dine in. We had the feast for 2. It was a bit pricey, but it was a LOT of great quality food. The fried veggies (pakora?) were nice. The lamb samosa was good. Then came some grilled meats and 3 main dishes. The tandoori lamb slices were so tender and mild, i thought it was either goat or beef. The grilled chicken was good. The tandoori chicken was a bit spicy, which was a nice take on it. There was also a grilled ground chicken that reminded me of a Middle Eastern Kufta. I left the shrimp for my guest as I don't eat them. The curries were a shrimp curry, a chicken tikka masala and a saag paneer. All were very good. We tend to judge Indian restaurants by their saag, and this one was excellent. Creamy, flavorful and not salty. We will definitely go back for some of their specialties. I also noted some ethnic Indian folks there, which also tells you something. Great spot for fantastic food! Definitely one of the top Indian restaurants in the Clear Lake area. The interior has a very nice atmosphere with a vibrant design. I highly recommend getting the "Feast for Two" if you are sharing food. It comes with a wide variety of options in small sharable portions. My personal favorites were the tikka masala and the shrimp curry! The curries were full of flavor and the meats were nice and tender. Overall, I had a great experience at Noon & Mirch. We visited Noon Mirch for lunch on a Thursday. We arrived early hoping to beat the crowd, but there were plenty of others who had the same idea. There is plenty of parking outside. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The buffet is only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We had a large party and were seated promptly, but based on the number of people who ran for the door as soon as the clock changed from 11:59 AM to 12 noon I can see this not always being an option. By the time we were sipping our drinks while looking at the menu all the other tables were occupied. We dined on the following: - Desi style expresso (a must!) - Ginger Lemonade - Samosa Keema and Vegetable - Tandoori Drumettes - Gobhi Aloo - Chicken vindaloo - Chicken cilantro - Chicken mungfali - 3 of the Sampler for one dishes - Besun Burfi Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were perfect for sharing. We probably took over half our our food home. I love finding places close to home that are worth visiting again and again. If you are in this side of town, I recommend you give them a try. read more

We tried the buffet anyway becaus the price was reasonable. We thought it was okay because it didn't anything spicy. I have some friends who live in the area so I stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. Noon & Mirch is an elevated Indian restaurant and they have a spacious parking lot so that won't be a problem. What stood out to me about Noon & Mirch is that they have some menu items that you won't find at your typical Indian restaurant. Case in point: the entree I ordered. Fish and chips. At an Indian restaurant? Yup. The classic British dish with a twist. It's basically your standard fish & chips but replace the tartar sauce with a chutney. Good stuff overall. ordered chilli paneer and daal makhani as an entre. interestingly neither one of dishes came with any rice!!! for $14 per dish, they can at least provide rice! also, I had selected "hot" for level of spice. unf both dishes were so hot that they were not really edible. I just can't imagine what would happened if I selected their highest spice level. i then ordered only 1 level of spice - well results were the same. paneer was way too spicy to eat! overall, I wouldn't recommend this place bc the food was too pricy and quality was much less than desired! read more

I love that everything is kept warm and hot. You'd be surprised how many I face I've been to in the area where food are just flat out cold. I'm not mad at this place. This was my first time trying Indian food. I had the sampler which was a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I also order the Naan pizza with shrimp and chicken. I will say i am sure the pizza is not indian food but man was it good. The other food ranged from tiki marsala to somosa and overall it was pretty darn good. The food is really good! The Chicken Tikka Masala didn't have a lot of flavor, but the Saag Paneer, Lentil Soup, Sauteed Cauliflower & Tandoori Chicken were delicious! I'm giving 3 stars solely on service. It really was that bad. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and the bar wasn't busy at all (a beer and glass of wine), weren't checked on AT ALL even though he kept walking by not checking on his other tables either and he couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu or buffet options. We have been ordering online for pick up minimally one to two times per week. Their website was easy to use and there was an option for Apple Pay. They recently changed their website and ordering became much more difficult. They eliminated the search function (which was great if you knew what you wanted-now you have to scroll through the whole menu). They have also eliminated to ease of using Apple Pay-you have to manually enter a credit card every time. These aren't deal breakers but they seemed to have gone backwards instead of forward. Here's where it gets frustrating. They are missing some of their dishes on the website which means if you wanted that dish (which we do), there is no option to order. They still make those dishes, someone just hasn't doubled checked that what's online is what is really offered. Ok, so why don't you call in the order you say? Well, we started doing that. Too good to be true as they now have a recorded message that sends you the link to order online. They have changed their phone system to where you can't talk to anyone to place an order. I would love to order online if the dish that I want was placed online, but someone got sloppy with their input apparently and missed a few dishes. We love to patronize local businesses. But this business has made ordering from them impossible. The phone system is impersonal and it feels like you are linked up to a call center with only automated responses. It's a shame because we really enjoyed picking up food from there. Usually businesses implement technology to better the user experience. This restaurant has done the opposite. EDIT TO COMMENT ON REPLY: we have physically stopped in weeks ago and let the young lady at the front hostess station know about the online discrepancy-she stated that she would let someone know to address. Nothing was addressed. We have called multiple times and pushed the number associated with "speak to a team member". Each time it goes to voicemail. And you guessed it, we have left voicemails. If only you would have taken the time to return a voicemail or given an option to speak with someone. read more

Why 3 stars? Because we were a bit let down based on the rating/reviews. --- --- --- The week before we visited here, my wife got some killer Indian food from another part of town. It was so amazing, we were craving it again, so we wanted to check this out since they had such great reviews. Maybe we were a bit biased after having 7-star stuff a few days earlier, but this was just not on the level. The masala was barely warm after a 12 minute drive home and it just wasn't very flavorful. The garlic naan was almost bland and the roti was very bland. The side salad was fine, but we were only given one dressing despite having 3 salads. The chicken samosas? Also fine. The mango lassi, it was on par with what I've had in the past. The guy who helped me was really friendly and I definitely would be tempted to come back and enjoy the craft cocktails, but we will probably opt for an alternative next time we are in the area and craving Indian food. read more

My wife and I read the yelp reviews and wanted to give the restaurant a try. We love Indian food and have eaten it throughout the US. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Our server Halle was delightful. After sampling each dish my wife and I both agree that this was some of the best, if not the best Indian food we have ever eaten. The meal was hot and fresh and the flavors were amazing! While it was a little pricey, it was well worth the expense. We will definitely be back next time we are in Houston. read more

New to the area was looking for a good and authentic spot. I decided to give it a try for lunch today. I knew it was going to be good when it had large groups and lines out side of the building. The only reason why I am giving it 3 stars because it was so busy my husband and I got seated and that was it. No one came to the table to take out drink order. We have to ask one of the guys walking around filling up other people cups to get us some water. We didn't know how the processed worked I finally realize it was just a buffet the whole time. No one came to collect the plates from the table as well. No one even came to refill the water which was giving in the beginning of the meal. However the food was delicious it had a good variety of options to chose from and a nice size dessert end to it. They definitely kept on top of something almost gone they were refilling it right away. Lucky I was a decent person because I had to ask for a check which took 10 mins because I had to ask someone walking around again. They probably realized that no one came to the table. I will comeback but maybe not on the days it's a buffet it's was too busy and overwhelming for them to keep up. read more

This was our first excursion into Indian food, having wanted to try it for years. The restaurant was immaculate, food exceptional. We has a chicken samosa puff pastry appetizer. I suggest the tamarind sauce. Then we had chicken curry medium heat and shrimp masala moderate heat. Wonderful flavors however me misjudged our heat level. Different from most of the stereotypes, the atmosphere is very inviting and the ambiance is appealing. The managers, the wait staff and the hostess were courteous, always with a smile. The dinner menu is extensive and the bar menu offers many of their signature cocktails. The server asked for the level of spiciness (1-5 range) and we felt that the spice range which we opted for (3) was perfect for our palate. Biryani was good and slightly overpowered by garam masala. The Kadai curry was not the typical one which comes with chunks of onions and bell peppers, it was rather in a fine curry consistency. Overall enjoyed the dining experience. read more

It's a bummer I have to come all this way from Pearland to get really good Indian, but it's worth it. Really like the menu and I wish I had the space to try more than just a couple items, which just means I'll need to come back some more. Staff is really courteous and was able to put us near the bar away from the rest of the crowds, and service was fast and attentive. All the food came out tasting delicious. I made a few order from them to take out before and they never disappoint. This review is strictly about the food since I haven't been there to dine. Their chicken malai kebab and chicken masala are often the ones I order and always hit the spot for me every-time I crave Indian/Nepalese cuisine. Not bad to have near home since it's almost impossible sometimes to find restaurants that are full of flavors around the area sometimes. We went for the Friday buffet, it was a good experience since I'd never had Indian food before. Everything was hot, and ready. I enjoyed the cilantro cream chicken, the hummus, and naan. The service was good, and our waitress was nice. Overall it's a cute place, very modern feel. The line to get in was around the building, even prior to opening.
