Wisconsin Mac & Cheese
Jacie D.

The food here was pretty good. I got the garlic and shrimp rigatoni pasta and mac & cheese. I got it to go. It was about a 25 minute wait, which was a bit more than I would've liked, but I wasn't really in a hurry. I have had the mac & cheese before and it was very good, so when I had this, I expected it to be much better. But I am thinking because it had sat out from when I picked it up to when I took it home (about 15 minutes) and the ingredients were not mixed in the first place, the meal separated not in a good way. The noodles with cheese on top were quite chewy and all of the liquid for the cream of the mac & cheese was settled at the bottom and it took quite a bit of mixing and heating up for it to mix well. However, after I got it mixed well, the flavor was great. I do think that if it was mixed in the first place, I would've not had to spend the time trying to get the noodles a creamy consistency.

Thai chicken soup & steak stroganoff

The staff here definitely needs tips on better customer service. When a customer walks in and you all are gawking like you don't have enough work to keep you busy, it can get awkward real fast. Luckily, I read reviews from before and was able to place my order quickly. The cashier was alright, but short. I ordered a regular bowl of beef stroganoff & small thai chicken soup. When I ordered the small bowl of thai chicken, the cashier goes "what about it?" Smdh Uh I don't think so. Anyway, I dined in and while I was in, I just overheard a lot of idle conversation/work gossip. I left and not even a "thanks for coming" or "goodbye" :/ Won't becoming back to this location for sure! About the food: stroganoff was good, but flavoring was a bit off? Idk what it was but it just tasted a little weird. Like there were hints of ammonia/cleaning products? Ew. The Thai chicken soup was tasty but overheated, like in a microwave. Overall, food wasn't bad but it is a bit spendy! $12 for those 2 items? Yeah I don't think so. I'd rather go to Olive Garden to get my pasta fix for future reference.

Bangkok Curry

My husband loves the penne rosa. He never gets anything else. However, I order something new just about every time I come. I love the Whole Wheat Tuscan Pasta and all of the asian noodle dishes that I've tried (Bangkok Curry, Japanese Pan Noodles, and Indonesian Peanut Saute). I tried a sandwich and soup the other day - not a fan. I'll stick to pastas. Sure, the Wisconsin Cheese-steak was good, but I think I could find a better cheese-steak just about anywhere. It just doesn't compare to DP Cheesesteaks or Moochies that are in downtown SLC. I've never been disappointed with the pasta though. This location is always clean when I come. The employees are always nice. They serve wine and beer although I stick with water. They also have one of those cool/overrated Coca-Cola machines that lets you make about 8 trillion different drink combinations. Also - be careful if you're watching calories - all the cheese and pasta turns into a full days calorie binge really fast.

Mac and cheese. Kid loves it!

This is Just ok, nothing special to me. It is a chain so there is that. I go here because my daughter loves their mac and cheese and it is good but you really cannot mess up Mac and cheese. Over tried several dishes and they are just ok. I tried their bbq pork sandwich today and it was not very good. The pork had a lot of pepper in it and the coleslaw was not great. I did like the bread it was on though.

The food lacks flavor and seems dead like canned soup or something. I really wanted to like it. Won't be ordering here again.

There noodles didn't have a lot of flavor. The Broccoli wasn't fully cooked and the food was cold.

I have several smokers in my backyard and have catered different parties both for work and for neighbors. I'm fairly picky when it comes to BBQ especially with the prices you pay for it these days. If you're going to charge me $30 for a plate of bbq, it better knock my socks off. I went to a Mission BBQ in Nashville when I was there for training. It was so good, I was shocked when I learned it was a chain restaurant. When I think of chain bbq places I think of Dickies which my phone just auto corrected to Sickies and I almost left it . This place and Dickies are worlds apart. mission has real, good., quality BBQ. Good Texas brisket, the sausage was great. Turkey was a bit dry but I wasn't mad at it, it was still good. I also don't like green beans and as you can see from the pic I get the green beans. That's saying something if you knew me. The service was extremely friendly. Honestly it reminded me of Texas bbq spots. Where it's about the food, but it's just as much about the people. Just good people getting together, enjoying yummy food and each others company. I don't know if this is an every day thing but I had recommended my parents go here when they were in the area. They said a server brought out a free dessert to them that my dad still raves about. When I was there a server tried to give us a huge plate of fries but we had all just finished eating and had to politely decline the offer as we were all stuffed. He walked around and found another table to gift it to. So I don't know if this always happens but the two times I know of they were just giving stuff out, pretty cool. We spoke with a couple of employees and a manager, everyone was super friendly, can't say enough good. Inside is pretty typical BBQ joint. They had a six pack of bbq sauces on the table. As much as I like just eating the meat so you can taste the meat and smoke, I also love me a good bbq sauce. They had a couple that were pretty yummy. You absolutely have to get the cheesy potatoes. I crave them more often than I'd like to admit. It's. A good thing I don't live closer to this spot cause it would be a problem. I'd stop in just for a side of the potatoes. I'll definitely make the hour drive to come back. It's worth it. I've been to most of the BBQ spots in Utah, this one is definitely up there for me among the top. Bam Bams and Pats have been my favorite spots for years. This might take the #1 spot for me though.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived but there was quite a bit of other people that came in and it was nice to have some talking and laughing to make it more a fun experience for us. It wasn't the best I've had and not the worst. The funny thing is I brought half the of it home because the portions are huge and it tasted better the next day. Your dinner includes a small salad, it was delicious and I used their house Italian dressing which was really tangy and yummy. My favorite thing though were their rolls. I swear I could just eaten about 12 of those! They bring you oil and vinegar for dipping and it was hard to not just drink it with every bite of those delicious rolls. In fact I'm going to call their Salt Lake Location and ask if they sell them separately. They were that good. It's a nice change of pace from the usual Italian restaurants so check them out and get extra rolls!

One odd thing--they use table clothes but then put paper on top. This felt a bit off for the fancy atmosphere they were trying to create. We had lots of delicious food. Our meal started off with the Daily Bread & Butter and Caesar. Both paired well together. For entrees, I had the Wagyu Zabuton, which was cooked well and was paired with flavorful sides. My husband had the Lamb Chops, which were beautifully plated. All the cocktails were amazing, but my favorite was the Madam's Choice. They didn't do anything special for anniversaries, but it was fine because we were full of food and took the leftovers home. I'm excited to try this place for Sunday brunch next!

I had to wait what felt like an epoch for my delicious, chicken-y reward, and despite the size of the restaurant and relatively tame level of busy-ness, wait staff still took their sweet time and did not get bread out in a timely fashion. The ambiance is like 'millennial interior design final boss' - imagine being trapped within the pages of Magnolia Table, and everyone looks and sounds like the first Google results for 'hipster'. I wouldn't mention this if the smarminess of staff didn't compound the frustration of having to wait forever for like three pieces of bread. So, if you're in the area and have a refined palette that craves rich, delicious flavors against a backdrop of open French windows, I'd say go for it. The food definitely outcompetes the annoyance I felt. But seriously, get the chicken sandwich.
